It was a gun I had been wanting for a while with a red dot sight factory installed. Their price was reasonable; there are not a lot of great deals out there given the current climate and demand in Aug 2020. The purchase was smooth, quick, and the employee who helped me (Jordan, I think) was friendly, knowledgeable, and answered all my questions, as I had never used a red dot sight before. The store was clean, well stocked, and had plenty of things to interest most "gun people." Nothing extraordinary happened, just a nice, positive day at the gun store. A couple of days later when I took out the gun to get familiar with the red dot sight, I found that while the sight lights up and is bright, the button that dims the sight has no effect. So today, Saturday, I went back by the store to see if they could give me any insight on what I might be doing wrong. This is where the five star rating comes in. The same employee who sold me the gun on Wednesday was there, and asked how he could help. I explained the situation, and he quickly took out the handgun, and attempted to duplicate the problem. Sure enough, he also could not get the dot to dim. He got a second employee to look at it, and meanwhile, he went online to research the problem. He found that a possible issue could be the battery. The two guys then literally went all over the store trying to find the right battery size (it was not a typically size), and would not stop until they had found one in another product. Meanwhile, they were making arrangements for me to see the gunsmith at the sister-store ten minutes away in Grapevine to see if he could resolve the issue. But, once the battery was replaced, it worked as it was supposed to work. I would not have thought the battery was the issue because it would light up so brightly, but that is exactly what it needed. They could have easily told me they didn't know what was wrong, and I would have been left with shipping it to the manufacturer and waiting weeks to use the gun I just purchased. Instead, they did research, tried several potential ways to resolve the issue, and found a solution. All the while they were friendly, engaging, and professional. I was not familiar with this store before this experience. It's a little bit of a drive from my house, but they have earned a repeat customer in me. Thanks so much for the great customer service. I was told I could go to the actual local store and buy it there. Website said there were 49 in stock. I drove 40 minutes only to find out that in stock means their warehouse not physical store. Strike 2. So, now I just decided to order it online, pay for it, and pick it up at the store when it arrived from the warehouse. I received a confirmation email for the order, then another one saying the order was processing once payment cleared, then today I got an email stating the order was canceled because of a price glitch on Gritr's end. No attempt to contact me first to see if I wanted to pay the difference or just eat the $90 difference in price. Just a cancellation and a sorry for the inconvenience. I replied to the customer service email and no response. I highly recommend not doing business with them. They lost a $1,000 plus sale over a $90 price difference on a price they listed. Stick to Academy, Scheel's, or Texas Gun Experience.

Overpriced, shoddy work at best -- Check prices elsewhere before buying here!!…read more I had a terrible experience at Elliott Gun Co. and won't be returning. I was sold a set of sights for $150, only to find out later they retail for $90. I was told installation would be free, but instead of using a proper sight pusher, Elliott used a hammer and punch, leaving visible scratches on the sights. When he handed the gun back, I immediately noticed the front sight looked crooked. Elliott insisted they were "dead straight" and told me that if I thought they were off, I should go to the range and bring him a grouping. When I asked how he could claim they were centered without using the right tools, he said his "eyes are dialed in" from years of experience. I took the firearm to another gunsmith for a second opinion -- and he confirmed right away that the front sight was crooked and the rear sight wasn't centered either. Between the markup, the poor installation, the scratches, and the dismissive attitude when I raised concerns, this was a complete waste of time and money. I strongly recommend going elsewhere for sight work or anything requiring precision.

Inside was just filthy most of the employees were walking around in their phones. Restrooms need attention like they were not clean the day before closing.
