50 ae "it'll kick you outta bed"
Nick D.

Excellent customer service. They are very knowledgeable and informative, before you make a purchase. Prices are more than fair, and they offer so much more than only sales. I wander through gun stores looking for something that I don't already have... this is a room full of that stuff. Greeted and Offered a cold drink immediately as I walked in. A very comfortable atmosphere, and friendly employees and patrons. Wasn't like being in a retail store, more like hanging out at your friends house. I found something I didn't have, and left a very happy customer. Thank you guys, 100% satisfied, and I'll be back very soon.

New Vortex Optic

I've never felt as excited coming to a gun store as I have coming here. I always see them selling top notch optics and gun accessories, they do great custom firearm work at competitive prices, and they sell unique and truly quality firearms. The environment is inviting. They have a fridge with beer and soda ready for their customers, and a team of extremely knowledgeable guys ready to answer every question you have, without being condescending in any way. Not to mentions they give you the option of layaway. I bought a new Vortex optic for my AR-15 at about $600. Paid the amount within 90 days and had my new optic ready to go just in time for a trip to Poolville! Best gun store in town hands down.

They installed Scalarworks SRO Mount, Trijicon SRO, Wolf springs, Briley MFG carbon fiber magazine tube.

Elliot White Gun Co is hands down the best gunsmith in the area. They have worked on several custom projects for me and I have been amazed every time. They are extremely knowledgeable about products they sell, and have a real eye for cerakoting. If you want it done right, call Elliot.

I call it more of a…read more'gun boutique' than a gun range and that means you're paying top dollar for just about everything. More and more ranges are starting to head into this model and it's a sad thing. Remember the days of being able to go to the range and spend $7 for no time limit? Well, those days are over and it's places like this that made it that way. On the good side though, their range was clean and the target systems worked properly and their was ample air conditioning and the air scrubbers were working well, but the air system was loud. One of the ranges I went on was their 65yd rifle range to shoot my bolt action. It's a shame it wasn't 100yrds but it is an indoor range so can't really expect that distance indoors but it would be great if it was. Being disabled, I can't go to an outdoor range because I can't walk 100 yrds each way to hang my target so this was the best I could find with a target system. Mostly I use Defender Outdoors as an FFL transfer when I purchase firearm online. Last I was there I think FFL transfers were $35. They call you when it's ready to be picked up and there usually isn't a wait and if there is, it's not a long one. I usually call a head after I buy the firearm to tell them one is coming for me but I don't think they need that to be done. I just do it out of courtesy. The process is quicker than other places I've been to and they're not 'training' new employees while you're waiting for them to get your paper work done, which I've seen at other gun ranges that do FFL transfers. All the employees are polite and professional so you're paying for that high level of customer service and is one of the reasons they're expensive. My only complaint with this range is how expensive they really are as opposed to other places but you get a lot of bang for your buck, pun intentional.

I love about 45 mins away from Grimes Gunsmith. I have a closer gunsmith but he isn't open 3 days out of the week and won't promise to do sights while you wait. Before I found Grines I drove to Plano to a gunsmith that has a lot of good reviews. Long story short the gunsmith was saying how the TruGlo sight are junk and said he couldn't install them because they didn't fit and that I should return them. So opting for a second opinion I found Grimes and called. The gent I talked to said to come on buy. Which from Plano was a another 45 min drive. I get there and explain what the previous guy told me. He said he uses the same sights on his gun. And guess what? He got the sights fitted on my P30SK. Perfectly centered. He said the sights were just a tight fit but they are fine. I highly recommend Grimes Gunsmith. Plus they have the PROPER equipment and you can see exactly what they are doing. 5 stars.

The class was taught by Stacy, a USCCA instructor, and not only was it solid training, but it was completely free. Can't beat that. The facility itself is impressive. Weapons everywhere, but in a clean, organized, professional way. Plenty of staff walking around, ready to answer questions or show you something if you're curious. I showed up about five minutes late and the young lady at the counter didn't miss a beat--super friendly and got me to the class right away. The ranges are set up beautifully. I'm retired military and have shot in thousands of ranges, and this one still stood out. Well-designed, well-maintained, and clearly run by people who take pride in the space. The range price was great and reasonable. The store side is stocked with every accessory you could want--or didn't know you wanted--for your weapons. Tons of parking too, which made getting in and out a breeze. Overall, great facility, great people, great training. Definitely worth coming back.

What a great experience I had with these guys. On Wednesday, I ended up at their store to buy a…read morehandgun I had seen online they had in stock. It was a gun I had been wanting for a while with a red dot sight factory installed. Their price was reasonable; there are not a lot of great deals out there given the current climate and demand in Aug 2020. The purchase was smooth, quick, and the employee who helped me (Jordan, I think) was friendly, knowledgeable, and answered all my questions, as I had never used a red dot sight before. The store was clean, well stocked, and had plenty of things to interest most "gun people." Nothing extraordinary happened, just a nice, positive day at the gun store. A couple of days later when I took out the gun to get familiar with the red dot sight, I found that while the sight lights up and is bright, the button that dims the sight has no effect. So today, Saturday, I went back by the store to see if they could give me any insight on what I might be doing wrong. This is where the five star rating comes in. The same employee who sold me the gun on Wednesday was there, and asked how he could help. I explained the situation, and he quickly took out the handgun, and attempted to duplicate the problem. Sure enough, he also could not get the dot to dim. He got a second employee to look at it, and meanwhile, he went online to research the problem. He found that a possible issue could be the battery. The two guys then literally went all over the store trying to find the right battery size (it was not a typically size), and would not stop until they had found one in another product. Meanwhile, they were making arrangements for me to see the gunsmith at the sister-store ten minutes away in Grapevine to see if he could resolve the issue. But, once the battery was replaced, it worked as it was supposed to work. I would not have thought the battery was the issue because it would light up so brightly, but that is exactly what it needed. They could have easily told me they didn't know what was wrong, and I would have been left with shipping it to the manufacturer and waiting weeks to use the gun I just purchased. Instead, they did research, tried several potential ways to resolve the issue, and found a solution. All the while they were friendly, engaging, and professional. I was not familiar with this store before this experience. It's a little bit of a drive from my house, but they have earned a repeat customer in me. Thanks so much for the great customer service.
