Can't leave a tougher review - very disappointed to have to do so within the 2A community. Owner was dishonorable and lied for a year straight. 1 year ago I bought a brand new CMMG Banshee with Trinity as the FFL. I immediately had Trinity put a new Elftmann trigger in. While waiting for the install, Aaron (one of the employees) put a big scratch in the lower trying to get the trigger pins out. He came out and showed me, apologized, and said they'd make it right. I said no worries, we'll figure it out. Trinity initially wanted to "try for a warranty claim" through CMMG. I felt this was dishonest,but didn't fight it as I just wanted a new Banshee. I didn't fight that. In the August timeframe they told me a replacement was available. I came in and when I arrived it was the wrong gun all together (different color, version with a 3 inch longer barrel, etc.). I re-provided the guns info and was told another was ordered through CMMG and "5-6 of their distributors". Was told I just needed to be patient and wait for the gun to arrive. Since August I have called to try to get status and continued to get the run around from Trinity. I've left countless messages and Richard (the owner) refuses to call back or provide info regarding any of the order numbers. This has been going on since September. It's now March 2021 and I called CMMG to see if I could get status from them. They said there was never an order placed. Again I told Richard and he pretended to be surprised and said he'd dig in and get back to me. I said all I needed was proof that the replacement was ordered through CMMG or ANY of the distributors he said it was. He will not provide that info or return calls. I stopped in again last week and it was the same story and the staff just says they've left him message after message to call me back. At this point it's been a full year since Trinity scratched my brand new extremely expensive Banshee. They refuse to correct the issue and continue to duck calls & emails. I believe they have been 100% dishonest and are engaging in extremely poor business practices. It's one thing when you're just going in to spend money with them, but it's another when they damage your property and are actually on the hook to take responsibility for it. This review is posted so that others don't fall into the same situation. I wish I didn't have to write this about a business in my local 2A community, but unfortunately that's what it has come to after a year of trying for resolution. NOT GOOD FOR CONSIGNMENT Trinity Ordnance sold three of my rifles on consignment and then they would not pay me. I sued them in small claims court and won. Even with a court order they would not pay me. I had to send a constable from the county to get my money. The constable collected about $3,000 for me, around $300 of that was for court costs. I was a customer there for over four years and never had a problem. I have no idea why they tried to rip me off. I will never go there again and don't recommend them to anyone. There are plenty of reputable gun stores in the DFW area. I wish I could give this place no stars. read more

I have used Trinity for years to not only purchase firearms but for FFL transfers. All those years the FFL fee was $20 no matter the number, this most recent one, they decided to charge per transfer, and that is even after purchasing a lower from them. They told me this has always been the case however in 3 years it has never been the case. I have been driving from Arlington to there to support a local business. I have decided to stop my patronage of this shop and go elsewhere. read more

Came here with a family friend and it was a nice place overall! They had a wide variety of weapons for sale here as well as many other things. Reasonably priced for everything as well. I'm gonna have to come back here so I can purchase myself a weapon as well as get my wife one haha. Everyone who works here was very friendly and informative. Let us handle the weapons we wanted to see so we could get a feel for them. They also have options for some custom items which were very interesting! My opinion only, yet I don't recommend anybody to find out the hard way by engaging in business with Trinity. You don't have to be a highway robber with a gun to steal. You can just be a gun shop owner and steal from people in the daylight within the city limits. On 9/10/2020 i put a silencer on layaway and paid half $270.  The salesman Carson told me there is no time limit to purchase the silencer. Due to covid priorities, i couldn't work on pursuing a stamp with ATF. when all other priorities were taken care of, i asked Trinity to put a muzzle device on a back order for me and paid for half of that $37.  i waited to receive and buy the muzzle device before i buy the silencer because this 45 calbr silencer would be worthless for my 9 mm without an adapter. i checked periodically for months but they said the supplies are limited due to covid and that i dont have to keep calling them. They said they will call me when the device comes in. They never called to this day. Now the owner says, its been way in the past, sorry, goodbye. He claims there is a 90 day abandonment policy which was never there before.  At the time,  Due to covid + major under-staffing, it seemed like it will take 2 years before you can make any progress with ATF.  i still have the receipts. the owner doesnt care. Nothing on the receipt or the back side of it says anything about any time limitations. Considering class action lawsuit. There are a number of dissatisfied customers and 10 BBB complaints. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Felt like I was doing business with old friends instead of some "high speed gun guru " or "counter top commando" at an over priced busy shop trying to hustle you for a few extra bucks. I'd happily do business with them again. Sold them an item and their price was right on with what I expected after doing my own research. Very honest and down to earth staff. My sister boyfriend Recommend this place so I went here and had a handguard put on my M&P15 rifle and later down the road I had some free time to go back to the shootsmart range and after 5 rounds down range my gun kept jamming real bad. 4/17/19 Update to my problem with the jamming after they fix it but found out the gas tube hole to the barrel had to be opened up by +0.70 and it was fix the gunsmith was very helpful and Respectful And I'm happy I got to talk with the manager and the gunsmith and they both helped me with the problem my rifle had and I will be pleased to return to this store. I will post a update when I get the time to fire the rifle again to see if it still jamming but it shouldn't be since the gunsmith fire two magazines and had no feed problem read more

CONSIGNMENT COMPLAINT 65589 TRINITY ORDNANCE On May 26, 2021, I placed two pistols on Consignment with Trinity Ordnance in Lake Worth, and Associate D said it would be 90 days. I requested that I receive a telephone call if there are any offers. I called them in late July and found out from Associate D both pistols had sold during the first two weeks of July 2021. When I called on October 1, I was told only Owner R could handle any payment. Left messages for him. On October 4, I went by the shop and was told by Associate D Owner R was out. No return call on October 12 or October 13. After waiting for 2 1/2 hours on October 14, Owner D arrived and paid me for one pistol (CZ27) .I was promised payment on the 2nd pistol, Star Firestar, November 7, 2021. Since then, I have called twice and stopped by the shop on November 15 and November 17. I relayed to Associate D my wife is undergoing Chemotherapy and I need the cash for the 2nd pistol ASAP. Still total silence from Owner R. No one at Trinity has ever returned a telephone call. I live in Granbury 30 miles from Trinity. My time and gas has been wasted, and I told Associate D my wife is undergoing Chemotherapy. I need the cash now, and they owe me $459.99. BBB complaint filed even though they are not a member. read more

Do not bring your gun to them for a consignment, it's like donating your hard earned money to their business. Before I get into it, Daniel and Wayne who are always behind the counter are great, this review does not reflect their character or work ethic, I would do business with them anytime. I have been using Trinity Ordnance for years for all my firearms needs. Transfers, cerakoting, parts, ammo and I decided to try putting one of my guns on consignment there. BIG mistake. Brought in a consignment gun in August of 2021, the gun was bought and put on lawaway and paid off in November 2021. I have still not been paid for it. I have called, emailed and stopped by multiple times, and finally met with the owner, Richard on May 12. He told me he would contact me in a week or two to pay off my consignment....................... never heard from him again. It is now 7/22/22. I see his response on some of the other reviews, asking them to email him, he told me face to face that he ignores the emails because he doesn't have the money to pay them off. I have given him ample amount of time to make it right, but he doesn't have to decency to even reach out or reply to an email. I am currently suing him in Small Claims Court, if he owes you money, I suggest you do the same thing. 8/19/22 Update Richard did not show in court yesterday and I won judgment. If he doesn't pay I will be filing a Write of Execution where the constables will force him to pay. I have talked to another guy who had to do this to get paid. Or maybe I put a lien on his house, I have heard that is an option. The Judge has seen SEVERAL cases against him in small claims. read more

Great little gun store. I've dealt with Andrew most of the times I shop here. I came in to look for a carry gun and he took his time and showed me several, even his personal P365. Unfortunately they didn't have any P365s in stock and Andrew took my number down and said he'd call when they had one and I'd have the first shot at it. I'm very surprised that my experience with Trinity is different from most of the other reviews. On top of that they came highly recommend by personal friends. To start with I want to touch on the positives. My wife and I stopped by to locate a specific item. As we walked in everyone behind the counter was friendly. One gentleman was helpful and answered all of my questions. As we were browsing and being helped, the gentleman was looking up an item online for me, a woman came in who had a consignment gun in the store. Apparently she was just checking on it and took a few photos. I had assumed she was another customer and kept my distance until she left. After she left I went over to the counter where her .338 Lapua was that she was looking at. It turned out that was her consignment. As I examined the Lapua the staff offered to stop her, they were quick to help and let me examine it. They even talked her into accepting a lower price. I never did speak to her personally. As we were discussing the weapon, another gentleman informed us that it came with a hard case that had rollers on it. That in itself didn't seal the deal but it did help to make the decision easier. After some personal discussion we decided to purchase the rifle. As it was Saturday and the banks were closed we paid half and agreed to return to pay the balance. I'm currently working out of town so a day or two later my wife retuned and purchased the weapon. Now, here is where things turned. She didn't get the hard case, and over the phone I asked her to inquire about it. She went back into the store and asked about the case. It did have a soft case, which I'm not a big fan of soft cases. Regardless, she was told that the guy that told us about the hard case was "just popping off". If that was the case, why didn't the staff say so at that time? They were very lethargic about offering any kind of satisfaction. One woman offered to help us find another hard case, which we would've had to pay for. It just seemed out of character for Trinity, as I said earlier, I've heard nothing but good things. I was very disappointed in the lack of professionalism and the lackluster approach to being told one thing and delivered another. The hard case certainly didn't seal the deal, but it was offered as part of the entire product. Even though we got a hell of a deal on the Lapua I'm a little disappointed that I'll have to spend a little more on the case we were told that came with the gun. read more

I love guns, let me start there... I am a Texan who supports and utilizes the second amendment that being said, I love almost any gun store. But this one is really a cut above the rest. After visiting gander mountain and cabelas, I was overjoyed to walk into this small gun shop and find exactly what I needed. Typically when I walk up to a gun counter, I am ignored. I am not only a CHL/Open Carry license holder, I am also a CHL instructor and range master. I KNOW MY GUNS! Anyway, that wasn't the case here. Walked in looking for a Walther P38, which they didn't have, no biggie..... BUT what they did have far exceeded my expectations! A hard to find Kel-tec sub 2000. Awesome! Right? As soon as he showed it to me, I said "Ill take it!". It was a great price too! The salesperson was so helpful! He then showed me their "cheap" gun section, I love to buy and fix up guns.... and there was a $149 kel-tec .380, i threw that in too. I love both guns! Thank you Trinity Ordnance! read more

Great guys to talk to and I like the "support the local boys" idea. Bought a Berreta PX4 from them. Great transaction etc, etc. Only issue was that they charged me a NEW gun price for what turned out to be a PREOWNED firearm. They neglected to mention that to me. I don't believe that misrepresenting your inventory is good business. I won't be back simply for the trust issue. Everyone has to make their own choice. We brought my shot gun in 3 months ago to have it worked on. They told us it would not be a problem to fix it and that the part would cost $12. After weeks with no updates we called and got the run around and no answers. Another month later we called again and they said the part was on back order but they would call us when it came in. Now 3 months later they called us and said that the part would be $270 with no explaination as to why. They were very shady and we felt very taken advantage of. Now we have missed dove season and my gun still isn't fixed. Would not recommend this place at all!!!!!! read more

11 stars....Richard and Russell have raised the bar or maybe got it back to the old school way. When I walked in everyone was busy, but within 2 minstrel everyone looked me in the eyes and greeted me. Everything I've been there is learned something new. After 21yrs, USArmy, Airborne, sniper and Arial gunner school at Bragg, and South America. Pure luck. Right place at the right time. Having said this their is a level of expectation. I can't knock you out with my pinky, nor will I ever know all things about firearms. School of hard knocks maybe. Point being in leave my ego and take the cotton out of my ears and put in my mouth. I've have made a few transactions. Unfortunately they won't retire based on my purchases. But I get treated like they could. It's a clean nice place to shop. Some times you may wait 10 or 15 mins. But after all said and done, I learned something I didn't know. When I'm up to bat I get the same professional advise or appropriate info. Extremely fair and family oriented buisness. They don't try to empress you by 1 up in you. Gotta say we are blessed those folks in Springtown run an awsome shop too. I guess good ol school with current up to date technology. I would like to give a huge shoutout to Trinity Ordinance in their attentiveness and expert customer service. The non-verbal, barely there, head-nod was the perfect welcoming and professional greeting when we walked in the door. I loved overhearing their expert knowledge on friggin paintball guns for over 15 minutes while we stood in the pistol area, in which we were interested in making a purchase. Had I wanted to listen to paintball stories we could've easily gone down to see Mike and Crystal at Paintball Player's Supply, whom we know very personally- they actually referred us to y'all. I was very unimpressed at the fact that no-one even bothered to ask if we needed assistance despite our very obvious lingering and finger pointing at the guns we wanted to look at. I was very hopeful that someone would be able to give me knowledge in choosing the perfect firearm for me to protect myself and the confidence to be alone in public with my children.
