They have ammunition when you need it. The selection can be limited for obscure items like 5.7x28mm cartridges and 9mm hollow point. They can order anything you may not find immediately. The prices can be a little higher on some things, but you don't have to waste time and gas driving farther to other places where you won't get good customer service. Nothing too major, I couldn't shoot the gun I needed to sight in because it was too large a caliber. nothing indicated as much online, but that was fine, I had other guns I needed to shoot, and I could take that one elsewhere. With the place almost entirely to myself, I head down to their 100yd range and get a couple practice shots in to get comfortable. Happy I decide to practice some at range quick firing. Nothing crazy, just trying to shoot accurately from range while being a tad fast. I shot off at most 10 rounds in 15-20 seconds, before I had one of the staff shouting at me to, stop being stupid, go into the shop, get my money and leave." confused, I asked for some minor clarification, as I hadn't broken any rules to my knowledge and there wasn't anyone else there for me to bother. He responded by telling me, "You know what you are doing," before hopping in his mule and driving away. the staff in the office weren't any better. telling me that I was "Mag dumping". which I could almost see, as I was firing a tad fast, and that was against their rules. however they couldn't give me a clear answer how what I was doing constituted a rule break and just kept giving me arbitrary lengths of time to trigger pulls while pointing to their tome of rules while trying to throw me out. All in all, there staff are obsessed with "Da Rulez" and refuse to even work with people to help have a good range environment. For example, if the staffer had just told me I was shooting a tad fast for what they normally allow and to tone it down a little.Instead, they decided to be hardheaded and treat me as less than human, now losing future income.

I promise you walk in and do a price check and they have the best prices. Very easy parking in this area, it is also next to a pawnshop. They seem to have a very loyal client base, they seem to know a lot of people by first name. It was busy when we came in but it doesn't mean that we weren't helped. Some officers I am friends with mentioned this store as being very nice but 2 things to know, it's better if you are ex military, and be prepared for higher prices. I live in a neighboring city and thought it was worth the try. I wanted to sell one of my handguns and online info was they paid fair value for used guns? I went in on 9/23 about 1 or 1:15pm and waited at the Gunsmith counter. In about 5 minutes I was waved over to the counter. The first thing I noticed was the employee did not look like ex military so I thought maybe there were other staff in different jobs. I explained why I was there and handed the employee my S&W box my gun was still in, never fired and in the same box and contents from when I bought it. The employee pulled out the Semi Auto .40 caber and took a quick look and told me what my gun was?? He then said there is no demand for these and the best I could do is $50! I was shocked naturally by not only the offer but his less than friendly/or professional his approach was. I smiled and said wow the pawn shop in Lewisville offered me $150 and I thought they were getting to me? He responded we can't sell these on GunBroker because we can't get our money out of them! I told him that I had been on GunBroker that morning to see what they were selling for and there were NONE for sale as used, and there were 2 sellers with new ones at $299 each in other states. He closed out by saying we can't resell those??? Just for the record my gun is a S&W .40 CALIBER SD MODEL 4". It was purchased new for $329 in April and was never used or fired. I purchased a used .45 S&W about 6 weeks later because that is the gun I wanted but new they were very expensive in the metroplex. I paid half what a new one would cost. I was only hoping to get a fair price for the .40 since I had replaced it but I made a mistake of coming to your store! FYI I had two older brothers serv in the military years ago and have a strong respect for the military! I chose to go into Law Enforcement after school instead. I would like to say the facility is beautiful but is more expensive than 3 other DFW gun stores/ranges. At this time I can't say if I would go back to your store due to pricing but mainly due to the employee I dealt with. He was not professional and actually was almost rude! He dealt with me and dismissed me in under 2 minutes and no one was in line behind me. He had NO desire to keep me as a customer for your store! If you are looking for a high class gun store and range this may be your place. Hopefully you are not trying to sell a firearm and you don't get this employee that I got! The really bad part is I made 2 prior trips to TGE before yesterday only to be told the "buyer" was not there? The first time he was at a late lunch and to come back in an hour. Overpriced, shoddy work at best -- Check prices elsewhere before buying here!!…read more I had a terrible experience at Elliott Gun Co. and won't be returning. I was sold a set of sights for $150, only to find out later they retail for $90. I was told installation would be free, but instead of using a proper sight pusher, Elliott used a hammer and punch, leaving visible scratches on the sights. When he handed the gun back, I immediately noticed the front sight looked crooked. Elliott insisted they were "dead straight" and told me that if I thought they were off, I should go to the range and bring him a grouping. When I asked how he could claim they were centered without using the right tools, he said his "eyes are dialed in" from years of experience. I took the firearm to another gunsmith for a second opinion -- and he confirmed right away that the front sight was crooked and the rear sight wasn't centered either. Between the markup, the poor installation, the scratches, and the dismissive attitude when I raised concerns, this was a complete waste of time and money. I strongly recommend going elsewhere for sight work or anything requiring precision.
