I was sold a set of sights for $150, only to find out later they retail for $90. I was told installation would be free, but instead of using a proper sight pusher, Elliott used a hammer and punch, leaving visible scratches on the sights. When he handed the gun back, I immediately noticed the front sight looked crooked. Elliott insisted they were "dead straight" and told me that if I thought they were off, I should go to the range and bring him a grouping. When I asked how he could claim they were centered without using the right tools, he said his "eyes are dialed in" from years of experience. I took the firearm to another gunsmith for a second opinion -- and he confirmed right away that the front sight was crooked and the rear sight wasn't centered either. Between the markup, the poor installation, the scratches, and the dismissive attitude when I raised concerns, this was a complete waste of time and money. I strongly recommend going elsewhere for sight work or anything requiring precision.

I love about 45 mins away from Grimes Gunsmith. I have a closer gunsmith but he isn't open 3 days out of the week and won't promise to do sights while you wait. Before I found Grines I drove to Plano to a gunsmith that has a lot of good reviews. Long story short the gunsmith was saying how the TruGlo sight are junk and said he couldn't install them because they didn't fit and that I should return them. So opting for a second opinion I found Grimes and called. The gent I talked to said to come on buy. Which from Plano was a another 45 min drive. I get there and explain what the previous guy told me. He said he uses the same sights on his gun. And guess what? He got the sights fitted on my P30SK. Perfectly centered. He said the sights were just a tight fit but they are fine.
