If he had the skillset he claims, he would have been done in two hours, Btw it was a broken top lever spring and a chipped firing pin which i think he did on the tear down, like even a cracked piece of wood on stock, plus wallowed a decorative screw on bottom. For a family heirloom it makes me sick that this guy just doesn't care, he shouldn't of accepted the job . Also his new business name is Selous gun.

The process from ordering to cerakote was done so quickly, I didn't even have time to wonder about where we were in the process. Pleased is an understatement, and I WILL be back!

Overpriced, shoddy work at best -- Check prices elsewhere before buying here!!…read more I had a terrible experience at Elliott Gun Co. and won't be returning. I was sold a set of sights for $150, only to find out later they retail for $90. I was told installation would be free, but instead of using a proper sight pusher, Elliott used a hammer and punch, leaving visible scratches on the sights. When he handed the gun back, I immediately noticed the front sight looked crooked. Elliott insisted they were "dead straight" and told me that if I thought they were off, I should go to the range and bring him a grouping. When I asked how he could claim they were centered without using the right tools, he said his "eyes are dialed in" from years of experience. I took the firearm to another gunsmith for a second opinion -- and he confirmed right away that the front sight was crooked and the rear sight wasn't centered either. Between the markup, the poor installation, the scratches, and the dismissive attitude when I raised concerns, this was a complete waste of time and money. I strongly recommend going elsewhere for sight work or anything requiring precision.

I was forced to pay a $100 fee just to release my property. Their gunsmith lacks basic technical competency and safety protocols. My Sig P2022 sat untouched for 38 days. Worse, on my shotgun, he committed gross negligence by spraying cerakote directly inside the chamber and critical gas system components over active rust. These parts operate under extreme mechanical pressure and require strict factory clearances, caking them in cerakote over active corrosion renders the firearm completely incapable of cycling safely and mechanically unsafe to operate/fire. Both firearms are undergoing a professional mechanical rescue at a reputable shop to evaluate and repair the structural damage their gunsmith caused. A formal consumer complaint has already been submitted to the Consumer Protection Division of the Texas Attorney General. Avoid this shop if you value your property or safety.
