I brought a pistol to them the first week of October to have a front sight installed and for a check out because the slide would not fully return upon discharge. Heard nothing from them. Today I was in the area and stopped by. Not even looked at. Was told they would have to get the sight from Kahr. I had already called Kahr, sights for this pistol are readily available. Could have got one from them in a couple of days for about 10 dollars. I was I search of a specific item for my husband for a gift and after looking online hopelessly I decided to give this place a call. I spoke with Ray who was extremely helpful and very nice. When he told me they had the item, I was so relieved and told him I would be back that afternoon. The store was a little busy when I came in, however was greeted and Ray helped me when he finished with another customer. He made conversation with me and the other guys behind the counter joined in. Admittedly I use this place more frequently than I would like because it is the closest gun store to my home. I have bought a few firearms them now, ammo and had their gunsmith put some sights on a glock for me. Service is always bad unless the young women is helping you. The older gentleman whom I suspect is the owner is flat out rude and will ignore you even when you greet him. I always end up paying to much for ammo there, but I figure I am paying for the convenience. Firearms are priced higher there than you will find at Basspro or some other chain. The only reason I bought the two from them was because they were the last to have them in stock during the run on guns last year (Jan 2013). Oh and the sight the gunsmith installed?? Yeah, he put the front sight on slightly crooked. Took me months to figure out why my glock was shooting to the left. read more

Dropped by to check on pricing for pepper spray and a small 40 cal handgun. The clerk was the nicest person. I was a little worried from the reviews but the people working when I was there were great. I told the clerk I was interested in a Glock 27 , he said if I like the Glock I would love this SW 40cal . He was correct this SW 40. Cal was just a little bigger then my .32 Kel-tec but packed more stopping power and it fit like a glove in my hand. I now know what I want for Xmas. First things first, someone pointed to their gun prices on their website being "1000's" more than other places. They have NOOOOO prices on their website. STUPID! I have purchased numerous things here including pistols. I can understand what people are saying about the older man that works there. He is very dry and straight forward. But, give him respect and he will give it back. He has ALWAYS given me deals and worked with me. Sounds like too many people have thin skin and no respect for others. I like the place and I am taking my XDs back Monday to have sites installed. (If it takes you THAT LONG to figure out that your gun is shooting left because the sites are off, you shouldn't be shooting a gun. Also, research how Glock sites are put on, it was a faulty site, not the install.) read more

In the past I've purchased ammunition at this location. I've found them to be knowledgeable, somewhat reasonably priced, and professional. Well, until tonight. I'm in the market for a specific make and model of handgun. I called at 6:13 p.m. to ask if they had it. I was advised by the staff member who answered the phone that he was not willing to help me. I was told that I would need to call back tomorrow because they were closing and heading out the door. If you're closing, don't answer the phone. If you're unwilling to help me, don't answer the phone. Had they not answered my call I would've called back in the morning. I guess they don't need my money. Looked like the older guy behind the counter was holding court with the other 4 "customers" and the other two employees. I would love to support the local guy but the local guy has to put in a little effort to show he wants me in his store. I am not in his "buddy clique" but my money spends just as well. worst experience. I went in looking for a few things. Mainly i was looking to order something and purchase some ammo they had in stock. first guy greeted me and said he would help me. He was actually in the middle of a purchase involving 2 guns. I chose to walk around and browse. An older guy asked if he could help me but with attitude. I could tell he really didnt want to help me. I asked him about 9mm bullets and it seemed like he was dissapointed im only asking him about bullets. Bullets were extremly over priced. cheap ammo but big prices. Now the first guy was ready to help me and he started acting like a Jerk. so i guess at this point i have troubled them too much. The item i wanted to purchase sells at stores and online for 189 - 209. Don't waste your time I went over there 2 times in one week and could not get service. I called them about a cerakote for Kimber they told me to bring it over and they would get their contact to do the work, I took the gun over and they just gave me the guys number. If they were not going to do what they said why not give me number on the phone. Next I took a receiver over because I was having trouble putting it back together, turned around again I was told it would be six to eight weeks. Also, I look around and their prices are high. Also repaired several guns( A dismantled nylon 66,22 caliber ,and a broken ejector on a .44 pistol). After purchasing 1000rds of FMJ reloads that Dallas Reloding Services produced, I found 40+ rounds dented to the point I was concerned about safely using them. If I could give less than 1 star I would. All these people had to do was fax their FFL documents to my seller so I could have my gun shipped from out of state, ITS BEEN OVER 2 WEEKS! I was told a week ago by the owner he would send it THAT DAY, after waiting another 3 days I went to their store and when I stated my name before I could even say anything else the manager begins to yell at me about how he has to answer phones and customers and he cant find the time to send his FFL documents. I UNDERSTAND YOUR BUSY, BUT LEARN HOW TO PRIORITIZE WHEN YOU RUN A BUSINESS. Brought 30:06 to have new scope mounted and bore sited was quoted $25.00. this was on 6 Nov was to be ready for pick up on the 14 Nov. I called 2 days before pick up date and was informed they would have to order part to mount scope.On the morning of 14 nov they said rifle was ready bill went from $25.00 to $135 I paid the bill. went to alpine range on the 15 Nov the rifle would not even hit paper!.
