I stood looking at bats today for almost 20 min. Finally picked up some gloves and left. At the counter the unconcerned checker asked if I had found everything. When I said no she said sorry again not really concerned and rang me up. This is typical for this store. If you want help you absolutely have to chase someone down.

I was shopping around for some new work shoes with my 2 children. My daughter (6) tells me she needs to use the restroom and goes to ask the associate working for permission. She returns to tell me the woman refused to let her use it giving the excuse that she was by herself and couldn't leave the floor. The "manager" as she calls herself comes over to explain her reasoning. I reply that I will escort them to the restroom (was planning to anyway) so she wouldn't have to leave the floor, she still refuses. Mind you this restroom is 3 steps into their back room! Every place I shop I expect to be able to use the restroom especially for my children. I find it unacceptable customer service to treat children like that saying they have to go next door (to a competitor) to use the facilities. My family shouldn't be inconvenienced because of their staffing issue. I won't be back to this location again.

It was a gun I had been wanting for a while with a red dot sight factory installed. Their price was reasonable; there are not a lot of great deals out there given the current climate and demand in Aug 2020. The purchase was smooth, quick, and the employee who helped me (Jordan, I think) was friendly, knowledgeable, and answered all my questions, as I had never used a red dot sight before. The store was clean, well stocked, and had plenty of things to interest most "gun people." Nothing extraordinary happened, just a nice, positive day at the gun store. A couple of days later when I took out the gun to get familiar with the red dot sight, I found that while the sight lights up and is bright, the button that dims the sight has no effect. So today, Saturday, I went back by the store to see if they could give me any insight on what I might be doing wrong. This is where the five star rating comes in. The same employee who sold me the gun on Wednesday was there, and asked how he could help. I explained the situation, and he quickly took out the handgun, and attempted to duplicate the problem. Sure enough, he also could not get the dot to dim. He got a second employee to look at it, and meanwhile, he went online to research the problem. He found that a possible issue could be the battery. The two guys then literally went all over the store trying to find the right battery size (it was not a typically size), and would not stop until they had found one in another product. Meanwhile, they were making arrangements for me to see the gunsmith at the sister-store ten minutes away in Grapevine to see if he could resolve the issue. But, once the battery was replaced, it worked as it was supposed to work. I would not have thought the battery was the issue because it would light up so brightly, but that is exactly what it needed. They could have easily told me they didn't know what was wrong, and I would have been left with shipping it to the manufacturer and waiting weeks to use the gun I just purchased. Instead, they did research, tried several potential ways to resolve the issue, and found a solution. All the while they were friendly, engaging, and professional. I was not familiar with this store before this experience. It's a little bit of a drive from my house, but they have earned a repeat customer in me. Thanks so much for the great customer service. It makes a difference!!!

There aren't many locally owned businesses here, it's mostly your big chain stores. Dicks Sporting Goods, Bath & Body Works, Michaels, Old Navy, Daiso (so fun), Burlington, Five Below, Home Goods... with restaurants like Outback Steakhouse, Lazy Dog, Five Guys, Panera, Starbucks, Pie Five, Pei Wei. With a handful of lesser known options like Midici Pizza and First Watch Cafe. All great options! There's also a decent selection of barbershops, salons, and spas. And a movie theater (Cinepolis) and Dave & Busters! Plenty to see and do and eat and spend your money on. Don't forget to go to Total Wine! Gets super busy here on the weekend and during the holidays, of course. But it's always nice and clean and festive.
