Walking around Dick's shortly before Christmas was a more pleasant experience than I expected. I like to avoid malls and in-person shopping, but we all have to make sacrifices during the holidays hahah. We popped in here to find a UT hat for my brother-in-law, and left having found several more gifts for family members. Fuzzy blankets and socks and games and all kinds of cute merch. Decent prices. There seems to be very few salespeople about, so if you need assistance it might take a moment. But otherwise I enjoyed browsing this enormous store for treasures. read more

Went to pick out basketball shoes for our daughter. We found some she really liked (the shoe sales associate brought out the size we needed, Giannis Immortality, denim color way) and when we went to check out the sales associate scanned them and she received an error code that stated the shoes had not been released yet and were not available to purchase until 9/27. She called a manager over the radio to which she was simply told "yeah they can't buy them." These shoes were out on display in the store, two color ways and multiple shoe lines on the wall. My daughter is disappointed, I'm disappointed. This isn't the first or second time we've had a bad experience here. If you can't sell it, don't have it on the floor. read more

When I briefly disabled my VPN just to test that kind of restriction, they then allowed me to shop their web site. I shouldn't be required to disable my phone's security just to shop. First and foremost, I got word this company is mask friendly (wear or not to wear...it's your preference) which in English is "we won't yell or demean you in public if you do or don't wear a mask". I opted to half-face it. So I came to this location for a treadmill. The only place in the area with treadmills actually IN STOCK. I found a few I was interested in and an associate, Rudy, was eager to help. He found the keys so I could try them out and eager to help with warranty and price/brand questions. I found one that would fit my needs and checked out in no time. The other associates I interacted with were also very nice and eager to please. Rudy and another associate loaded the very long treadmill box into my car and it fit!! I was relieved! I will definitely be shopping at Dick's Sporting Goods more often! I've shopped here many times but yesterday I called about a Stanley my daughter received as a gift in Dec. The bottom part of the handle had been loose and it came off the cup itself; told them that I did not have a receipt. The manager on duty said that I could only do an exchange if they had the same color, which they had just received the night before. I was able to walk out with a brand new Stanley. This by far has been the best customer service at this location. Kudos to Yaya working at the checkout counter and Nick the manager on duty! read more

I was blown away with Dick's sporting goods, it was my first time here and definitely a place I could see myself coming a lot more often. I myself am a sports person so this place was right up my alley in fulfilling my needs when doing athletic activities. All in all a great place to get your simple sporting necessities. read more

From an apparel point of view, this location seems to have it all and then some. Two levels of it, matter of fact. Section upon section of sporting selections that will have you staying within this particular Dick's for hours, which I think is the idea. With that said, if you want customer service, good luck. Its a tad difficult determining who is a Dick's employee or not, as well as where to find them. Here I am talking (as well as selling) the features and benefits of a product to a family member of mine, and I don't even work here. To add a little indignity, a Dick's employee finally comes up and steps in between me and the merchandise without even being polite about it. Really, guy? Lucky for him, I had already picked the product that I was looking for out and was selling my family member on other stuff that he could use later on. But geez, have a little courtesy when you have a buying customer in your department without being a d*ck, dude. I assume that the store is named for that reason. Although Dick's is a typical sporting goods chain, I will admit that this particular location has a bit more of a selection to choose from in comparison to that of an Academy Sports, which I was at earlier in the day (the Tarrant Pkwy location). Decent prices, yet I may also check online for comparable stuff. At least Dick's has their reward card program should I make multiple purchases. All & all, this location is okay. Its attached to Northeast Mall, so you'll get the mall traffic every now & then. Customer service is so-so, yet you might get this at any large sporting goods place that you go to. 5 stars for the apparel selection, 2 stars for the customer service, 3 stars for the pricing. read more

This Christmas time was the first time that I've been in a Dick's sporting goods store. I had gotten a golfer in my Christmas family name drawing gift exchange and my husband wanted to get an oversize sturdy camping chair for part of his dads Christmas gift ... so my husband did his homework and decided this is where he wanted to go to get the chair that he wanted. So I tag a long to get golf stuff for my name drawn gift. It was kind of interesting lay out. It took me a min to figure out golf stuff was on the second floor. They didn't have very many people working on the first floor, my guess is that most folks in departments downstairs were the ones that would get pulled for back up cashiers. Once I got upstairs I had 2 or 3 offers for help picking out what I needed from the golf section & my husband was offered the same amount of help finding what he needed. There was a bit of a line by the door that lead to the parking lot & not really one at the one by the mall entrance. I've figured out that Dicks is one of the least crowded parking lots of this mall so if your looking for parking to go into the mall, go ahead and park here it's quicker to get in the door so your walking less in the extreme Texas hot or cold. I'm not 100% sure when we'll be back to dicks, we don't shop very often for the items that they have. Yet of the stores that have that kind of stuff they are one of the closest options, dare I say one of the easier to get in & out of because their parking lot isn't flushed up to a highway or access road construction zone like a couple other sporting goods stores are in the immediate area. read more

Stopped by here as I was walking into the mall had a decent clearance selection of winter apparel. Same old same old with dicks things nothing crazy wide selection of stuff decent prices. There are things that are cheaper elsewhere but for the ease of having everything here makes up for the price increase. I guess this store sells so much stuff they didn't need me to buy anything. So sad. I filled my arms with about $450-$500.00 worth of Christmas items and went to the shoe section only to never be helped. Bummer. I guess I'll put this stuff down and go to the location by my home in Arlington. Hey, but high five to this location not needing high sales numbers today. Usually you go to a shoe store and are annoyed with the over zealous salesmen because they work off commission. I'm going to assume this is not the case wth Dick's. I even went to the front to ask for those little socks to go scrummage my own pair of shoes and the gentleman behind the counter said 'yeah, we don't do that anymore... A lot has changed'. Easiest, quickest trip EVER. Walked in and saw exactly what I was looking for and best part it was 25%OFF! Great steal! Got a Cowboys jersey for my brother for Christmas for less than $100! The store was clean and well kept for being the last weekend before christmas. I was in and out the store in less than 30 minutes the employees were curtious and quick. Great job guys! read more

Store is messy and every time I walk into the door an associate is on his or her phone. I work in another Dick's location, and this is not how we do business there. The mess may be excusable if every associate was busy at all times with something else, but they are not. Cashier was awesome in accommodating my lacking of a discount card. read more

The selection of Nike women's clothing is the best I've found in the metroplex. The latest patterns, colors and styles are always here. As for the rest of the place, it's okay- very limited selection of weight gloves for women; gym bags are nonexistent unless you want the small sling bags, no osprey hiking gear at all! The pricing on shoes is at least a 20$ mark up from other places nearby. But like I said, I'm here for the nike women's section and that's it :) read more

This location is one of the bigger stores in the area! It has an ample selection of everything- from bats to tents to clothing. There's a ton of variety for the Nike brand, which I LOVE. You just have so many options to choose from!!! Associates know their stuff as well and are so helpful, too. They lay out your options for you and make sure you are taken care of as best as possible. Employees can be a little short staffed but it's understandable for such a high traffic place (mostly towards the end of the week into the weekend). The parking lot is big as well... In fact, it's one of the better areas to park. Overall, I would definitely recommend stopping by! You never know what you could find, esp since they always have good deals going on all the time. read more

I love Dick's and it's so convenient! I love the variety. I just wish that they would carry smaller sizes. It must be this geography because it is so difficult to find a size 00 or x-small. Dick's has everything organized, so that it's easy to find anything you need. The sales person was so friendly and attentive. We did find x-small women's gloves for weight lifting. read more

Went shopping there today with one of my sons. It took me 15 minutes to find someone who worked there to retrieve the size shoes I needed. The "sales person" never returned so I had to go in the back room and get them myself. I then found a different employee and asked where I could find a skullcap. He actually muttered, " I dunno. They're probably jus scattered around", and then walked away. This is the worst store for customer service- right there with WalMart. I've visited this location quite a few times over the last 3-4 years and it has had awful customer service, especially in the golf department, every time. Except the shoe department as they've always been good on service at this store. I was going to buy a putter and several other items (over $300 worth) but eventually put everything back and left the store. There was one guy running the department, but he was trying to help someone in the hitting area (which is what he should be doing) but it left the rest of a very large department with no one to work it. They need more people on the floor in every department especially on a Saturday. The really bad part is that Dick's bought out Golfsmith and then shut it down and expect ONE guy to replace what Golfsmith had going. Golfsmith was an awesome store with great service. I am definitely not going back to this Dick's for golf related items. Shoes? Maybe. read more
