Who doesn't love going to Bass Pro Shop? Even if you don't have any outdoor hobbies, there is still something for everyone. Huge selections in most of the departments. I like looking at all the shoes and clothing, while hubby loves to peruse the fishing aisles. He can always find something he "needs." This visit was no exception and he found a utility bag - a catch-all gear bag for $9.99! It was a great deal and he has loaded his up with fishing tackle for his kayak. The grandkids were with us and of course we all have to check out the fish. Tons of boats and ATV's, inside and outside to climb on and lots of things to look at. This place is like no other outdoor store you have ever been to, unless you have been to another Bass Pro Shops store. It is truly amazing. There are waterfalls and streams outside the store and inside the store. You can buy almost anything for the outdoors here. They have an amazing selection of everything they carry whether it be boats, sunglasses, fishing gear, hunting gear, boating supplies, hiking gear, dog supplies, you name it! They have a huge sale going on right now that takes another 50% off everything they already hade marked down. There were hiking booklets that started at almost $200.00 that were on sale for $35.00. I don't even need or want another pair of hiking boots, but at that price, guess what? I came home with another pair of hiking boots! Lol!! My dogs got some new chew toys out of the deal too. They had those at great prices, not even on sale! The service was good too. They had knowledgeable people helping out in the various departments throughout the store. I generally like bass pro but this store needs some work. 1. Get rid of the annoying timeshare sales people. They are harassing and take away from a pleasant shopping experience. Bothered me numerous times and it's predatory. Very disappointing. 2. They need a section exclusive to candy & beef jerkey and food products. Having it scattered all over the store is disorienting and makes it difficult to find. 3. The restrooms could use a better cleaning in the store. No reason for them not to be super clean. 4. The fish tank . Smells bad in that area and wasn't very clean. Could be better maintained and perhaps have some signage identifying the types of fish. Instead there's only a sign that says no swimming. They must think the average IQ of their customer is lower than room temperature. read more

I still recall the first time I visited a Bass Pro shop as a kid, it was a fun place full of animals and streams going under glass floors, that was the one in Springfield, MO, the first of many. Going to them today still has the same allure, with the water falls and fish tanks that has glass so thick it makes minnows look like sharks, behind the backdrop of a mountain scape full of taxidermy'd animals in various poses. It always looks so well done and very nice. I still enjoy going. The one change I've noticed is now they push their own product more and carry less of the outside name brands. This location is not different, looks great and their product is everywhere. Prices are ok, some are a good value, clearance racks are great, name brand items in the main aisles aren't cheap. They still carry a lot of fishing items, I got my Abu Garcia reel here and had several of my reels strung up here as well, which wasn't a bad price to have the fishing line strung up. Hunting area is nice, the archery area is listed to a few specific name brands when it comes to bows. A lot of Hoyt and PSE. I like the PSE, tho I'd like to get a Matthews, haven't found one here. Staff is always friendly and kind. Ambience is always wonderful. This is a destination store and not just a sporting goods store. read more

I'm neither a hunter nor a camper, so 85% of what is sold here are things I will never buy. But nevertheless, I had a freaking blast wandering around this amazing store. I'll bet you a nickel you will too. The thing, or should I say things, you'll notice first are the menagerie of super realistic stuffed animals poised to leap out at your throat. They are everywhere. Antlers are everywhere- moose and elk and deer. I saw bears and bisons, a walrus, a polar bear, and dozens of mounted heads. Let's just say your kiddies will be entertained. They sell boats, have a shooting range, sell lots of clothing, offer merit badge classes for Boy Scouts, and have a pretty big aquarium and a big food section where I scooped up a salsa and a "Pecan Pie in a Jar". Not only did I get and buy the boots I needed (I bought two pairs of different styles), my daughter also got a pair of shoes at a very good price. They have a very good variety and very good prices. Bass Pro Shop... More like Ass -- Full Stop. Went here with my grandkids to have a good time and pick up some lures and it quickly tunred into the battle for the bathroom. Looked for the facilities for almost 15 MINUTES!!! before finding them and when we finally did someone had already got in there and forget to flush. We played the Buckhunter game and got the holy hell out of there. Lots of good lures and bait though. read more

My parents love going to Bass Pro Shops to shop for their camping gear or just to window shop. This place is huge! That is the first thing I have thought when I first came here. They have almost everything you can think of, whether its camping, hunting, or even sports. We can spend so much time here just browsing and seeing what they have. It's definitely nice to just browse and shop around. They have several different stuffed animals around to enjoy. If you have kids they will probably have a blast just browsing and seeing all the cool stuff here, as I do every time I come here. If you have something specific you want to buy, they will probably have it. However, as these days online might be cheaper, it would be wiser to see if what you want to buy is cheaper online or hopefully on a sale here at the shop. The staff is pretty nice and have helped us look for specific items when we were looking for something to buy. I haven't been here in a while so I might be hitting this place up again soon. read more

I called BassPro in Grapevine Tx. , on May 22,2024, to schedule an appointment in the boat services. I was thinking it would be a 7 day wait, but the BassPro representative told me the shop was pretty much open so I took my boat to them the next day. When I arrived I I was told it would be the next week before they could start working on it. I simply said that is not what I was told on the phone and the representative got defensive and said we are a full service boat shop, but even if we get to work on your boat next week and a new boat is sold, I'm pulling your boat out and working on the new boat. I said, I understand this now, but that's not what I was told on the phone and I walked to the parts department. While there, a manger approached me and asked what was going on. It was obvious that the person I had spoken to already filled him in and he was ready to fight. As I proceeded to explain he started telling me there was confusion on my part because the person I spoke with on the phone explained that they couldn't get to work on my boat until the next week. He told me that 3 or 4 times, but that doesn't change the truth. I did not get combative or rude and I did not lie to them. This was over a 700 mile trip for me. I didn't get confused ! Eventually, the manager told me that he would install my Garmin unit on Tuesday, May 28th. He couldn't guarantee anything else, but the Garmin. I said ok. I called them on May 29 and the representative told me that he couldn't get to it until the end of that week. On May 30, there were big rains as I drove into BassPro. As I looked around I noticed there were bays open in their shop and definitely not busy, but my boat was still out in their lot. No new boats being worked on, but they didn't expect me to show up for my boat. In fact the guy was surprised when I walked in and said I was there to pick up my boat. He asked, today and I said yes. He came back and said, if you can leave it with me I can have your Garmin installed by tomorrow. Really? It could have already been done if: 1. The shop was "pretty much open" as I was first told. But, I understand new boats is where there money is. 2. They would have installed it on May 28 as the manager told me they would. 3. Or, if they would have gone out in the rain and pulled my boat into the shop when they had the opportunity. read more

I came in for a replacement rod, which was part of a contract I paid extra for a 100+ rod at 8Pm on 04/23/24. Short white guy with a terrible beard in customer service by the entrance was terrible at "customer service". Thought about buying additional products, but as old as he was, the lack of customer service in such an effortless position is ridiculous. I don't know who hired buddy, but dispensary actions should be taken. Due to the lack of product information given once purchased the addiontla contract. Employee proceeded to make me feel like I was coming to steal a rod because I had my receipt and was given incorrect information by the employee I purchased it from originally. Gotta give this Bass Pro Shop a low rating because of the terrible customer service. I am being gracious with 2 stars. Years ago went to this store and it was great. Plenty of helpful employees that would ask if you needed help. Last 4-5 times went here absolutely no employee asked if I needed help except for the ones at the front entry trying to get you to sign up for a credit card. Almost a constant line of employees going back and forth to break room. When I did see one on the floor they would look down and walk past me or turn other direction. I did see one employee in the fishing dept that took the time to help folks but he stayed so busy because everyone recognized he would help. Last trip I was looking for a particular fishing rod. First I was told it was in the salt water dept looked all over in that dept and nada. Then was told it was in fresh water dept. I feel like they have a lot of employees who don't have a clue of what they are selling or take the time to know the store. And now Bass Pro owns Cabelas and don't get me started on that. Bass Pro has a lot of great products and if have the time the look around you can find what your looking for. But for those of us who live close and just want to get in and get out and it not be a tourist attraction, better plan to be there a whole. read more

This place is a shopping adventure! I came here to buy a few Christmas gifts. I could have bought them from the online giant but decided to do real shopping this year. This store is incredible and one could get lost in here for hours just looking around. I was looking for something specific and two of the sales associates were incredible helpful. They did not just point me in the direction, they walked with me to find the item and then took me to another area where similar items were carried. So honestly the last time I came here my daughter had worked a Girl Scout cookie booth 7ish years ago. After the booth we walked around and took a few pictures by some of the neat things they had but didn't really need anything. Before then I can't honestly remember the last time I had been here. So this go around a friend had posted about them doing appointments for Santa and some of the safety protocols. I figured we'd jump on it early to avoid crowds with covid so I scheduled an appointment for my youngest. Luckily the store was not crowded at all, and people generally spread out. We were about 10 minutes early but no one was in line so we were greeted, checked in and given the go ahead. Santa was sitting surrounded by plexiglass so he could be able to interact with the kids, before we could sit on the bench they cleaned the entire area my little one would be in and did so for the people who came in behind us. We got a free picture for coming and an option to purchase more if we wanted. So I was impressed with the covid protocols for that in order to have that bit of normal, well as normal as it can be, for the kids. We ended up walking around a bit, taking picture by fish tanks, a waterfall and this jaws looking fake shark display they had. My kiddo of course wanted to take home an 4 wheeler, but we settled for something a bit smaller. Some things do seem higher priced than other places though from what I looked at when walking by items, so if coming here on the more regular make sure to price check. read more

Both times I waited an hour and a half at the store in queue waiting for their understaffed counter to handle a very small number of customers. This location is awesome We frequent it a lot. They have a great selection of hunting gear and ammo. And if your shopping for new firearms they are super knowledgeable about the specs and understand what I'm looking for. They always great us at the door,super friendly. My 2 years olds favorite place he likes to look at all the animals, walk across the bridge, check out the large fish tank and then try out some boats. It's like Disney land for the family well if your a tactical, outdoorsy and/or off the grid type of person then this place is so exciting. read more

Gun counter is a complete disaster!! There's never enough guys working. The last two times I've went in Ive known what I wanted and just needed someone to hand it to me. I ask the guy can you hand me those binoculars I already know I want them. He said stand in line. So I gotta stand in line for an hour behind people that are just looking at stuff but I know what I want? I'll pass!!! Not that Cabelas cares but that cost them $1000 sell. The guns and optics should NOT be at the same counter. Have guys for each of those sections not three real slow guys that have to stand and watch each customer handle gun after gun meanwhile some people just need the product they know they want to buy. This is one of my favorite places to go with my family. We love to walk around and my kids love to see the fish. They seem to always have some good sales going. And you can't leave without getting some of the candy. The store is clean, the staff is friendly and it's very spacious so the whole social distancing thing isn't an issue here. This is more of an experience than just a trip shopping when you go here. My last hiking trip through the store was no exception. I explored the boats on my way in and located the one model I'll buy one of these days with my Bass Pro Card points (1/5 way there). The parking lot is fun to start your adventure as there are animal tracks leading up and into the store. The entry way gives you the big hunting or fishing lodge feel. Lots of places within and out to take pictures of the kids. The giant shark is a favorite as is the Kodiak or Grizzly bear. Seriously, kids eat this place up. (Okay, so I'm a kid at heart and eat this place up). I had to stop and admire the fish at the water fall in the center of the store. Then off to see the bridge and trout pond on my way to snag a pretzel. I found a couple of shirts I convinced myself I needed and then off to look at the fish finders. I can't help but wonder with the sensitivity and color screens these now have if I might see something on the bottom of a lake I don't want to see. Maybe a dead body, alligator or a UFO. So many ideas for my next boat this store gives me as I walk trek through and browse. I sometimes think this place should have some large bushes planted at the end of aisles so you could push them back to peer down the aisles to see what lurks ahead. I walked around the hunting area and although I my be the last Texan without a handgun, I still enjoy looking at firearms and learning what's new. The same with my excursion through the golf products as I don't own a club. The kayaks are fun to look at, but I'd probably drown with one. My Fitbit said I did 9250 steps in here so I guess it was a good workout. I should have got a second pretzel. Of the locations in the area of large sporting goods stores, I still think this is the best one (more fun to walk through). read more

Angela has a tattoo on her arm that is a native fan with her late husbands year he was born and the year he passed. The cashier was like whats the broom tattoo with the numbers . Strike one it's a native fan with feathers . She said it's her late husbands birth year with his death year. He said. Oh well good thing about that is he didn't have to wear a mask..... I wanted to destroy him where he stood but we both knew it was not worth it. My point if you feel the way he does do me a favor and get you're ass off my page. I love this store! This is coming from someone that doesn't do a lot of fun, and cool outdoor stuff. My husband loves to shop here. I come here every once in a while to get things for him. They have some pretty great sales sometimes. The whole layout of the store is really cool looking and makes me wish I was more of an athletic sporty person. That's how much I like it here! They have cute women's, and kids clothes as well. Some items are expensive, depending on the brand of course, but I often find some great priced items too. read more
