Cool store, but as Frank's not a man of his word, I'd steer clear. Frank does not return phone calls, after promising to call back. Frank does not reach out to discuss the items in question, despite promising to call back. Frank also hides behind the "gotta talk to my partner" ruse, he's not straight forward enough just to look you eye to eye and give you a firm answer. Simply put, K5 has cool guns, but Texas Gun Experience has everything they do + more + better service + range + lower cost & better quality knife selection + larger space + more accessories + just overall better? Steer clear and go to TGE for a full auto rental & better prices. Frank's too old fashioned. read more

I purchased a firearm online and had it sent to K5. They removed the arm brace from the firearm and never retuned it to me. It's been over a year now. Nothing like stealing from your customers. I wound urge anyone to use caution when doing business with these crooks. Negative 5 stars. read more

Update: tried this shop again....The owner and others just sit around and bs like last time. I finally had to ask for some help. Told me I couldnt get a gun without a Texas DL, even though I have a home here and registration (appt for DL's is really delayed) as I moved from out of state. Went to another shop in hurst and was in and out in 20 min. These guys have a pretty decent selection of stuff but their customer service flat out sucks. read more

The store was nice! They have a large selection of hand guns, rifles and products. They are getting a 1 star from me because I called and asked if they had any 6.5 ammo. The guy on the phone told me they did but are only willing to sell 2 boxes per person. I was fine with that and decided to go. When I arrived the guy refused to sell me any ammo it because they are saving it for their costumers. So I picked up something and tried to buy it so I would become "a costumer".. the guy laughed and said I would have to buy a $4,000 gun... I laughed and said have a good day. read more

I have been to plenty of gun stores and this is the worst service I've ever gotten. I purchased a ar15 yesterday because it was a solid deal but the guy that helped me was a joke. He had a face that said get out and leave me alone. He talked to me like I didn't know know what I was buying and even overcharged me. This guy needs to be fired ASAP. At least the manager payed me back in ammunition. Will I ever go back? Absolutely not. There are other cool gun stores with friendlier service unlike this one. read more

I found these guys because they donated a couple of awesome firearms at a local charity event. When I went in I was blown away by all the custom one-of-a-kind pieces they had. They seriously have the coolest collection I've ever seen. They are really good guys and know their stuff. To date I've bought a bull pub 308, a browning x bolt, an Israeli-made desert eagle, 2) 30 cal suppressors, a scope, and a 6.5 creedmore from them. Unfortunately, in a customer facing retail business, you have to have excellent customer service -- obviously. This makes the business dependent on the individuals working there. I've never had any problems here until my latest visit. Another FFL transfer. This time, I got steered toward a very young and probably inexperienced young man who just frankly was not very professional. I didn't care much for his attempts at humor at the expense of the firearm I was transferring. I didn't ask for, nor care for, his opinion of said firearm. He attempted to engage his coworkers in some ribbing of the firearm, and they declined to take the bait. Finally, he had a lot of difficulty filling out the transfer paperwork, which delayed my visit. It's really not that hard. I kept quiet throughout, because my purpose in transactions like this is to conclude my business and leave, not to socialize. It certainly won't deter me form heading back to K-5, but it tarnishes an otherwise spotless record. read more

The store is set up really nice and they have quite a selection of guns, mostly self defense and tactical. However, I wandered around the store for 15-20 minutes and even though there were 3 employees behind the counters, no one asked if they could help me. About 10 minutes in as I walked up to a counter where an employee was standing, he asked how I was doing as he walked away from me. Other than that, no one said a word to me even though I was the only person in the store. read more

I purchased from this store a couple of times. I did not appreciate them selling me some new gear under active safety recall. They never warned me. They did eventually help me fix the new equipment but it took time. I then asked for help on optics. Their solution created a huge offset between optic and barrel. I found much better options elsewhere. I told them about them to help them improve. Their reaction was just being offended that I did not like their subpar solution. Quality of service went from poor to awful over time. There are FAR better and friendlier alternatives in area. I do not believe in paying a premium for bad and unfriendly service. read more

If I could give K5 0 stars I would. My husband and I have been in the process of purchasing a suppressor since November 2015 (it is now Aug 2016). K5 was very quick and enthusiastic to take our money and "order" the suppressor my husband wanted. When placing the order we understood that there is a LONG delay in the processing due to government regulation but, we submitted it in plenty of time to have everything completed before July 2016 when a new Obama law took affect. We were patient and didn't begin calling to check on the status of the order until March 2016 (5 months). That is when the lies began! Frank began blaming the manufacturer for the extended delay but when we called the manufacturer they confirmed our suppressor had been shipped and received by K5. Hmmmm... At the end of our little investigation and after multiple denials, Frank admitted that he had SOLD our suppressor to another customer. So now here we are in Aug 2016, Obama's law is in place, and we are just starting paperwork. 10 MONTHS later! Now we both must be finger printed and submit photos along with several other documents that were not required prior to July 2016. Frank's deception is costing us more money in documentation, time chasing paperwork and multiple headaches. Oh and K5 has not offered an apology or compensation for their lies and poor business practices. AVOID this business if you want to receive your products in a timely manor with minimal headaches. I will follow up review when and if we ever receive our expensive order. read more

Purchased ammunition a few times and it was ok. Today I went in to purchase a firearm and no one even acknowledged my presence. The Sig I was going to purchase was about $1,200. I've purchased a couple pistols and a long gun there. Frank is the owner, he's an authentic American patriot. The list prices are reasonable however Frank is always interested in beating the competition if it's a store inTexas. This is a shop that's looking for long term relationships with its customers, heavy into veteran charities, honorable and not gouging prices based on the latest political shock to the market. Despite two rounds of illegal executive orders that caused spikes in ammo and gun prices K-5's prices have remained consistent. Check it out, if you see a gun you like make Frank an offer, he'll negotiate, especially if he can beat Cabellas. read more

Great store! Frank and his team are extraordinarily friendly, helpful and informative. Huge inventory, competitive prices, and more services and support than you may be aware. You might save a couple bucks buying a gun on sale from a high volume, no service mail order gun store, but good luck if you have questions or need for assistance after the sale. Spending hundreds if not thousands of dollars on a firearm or accessory isn't the same as getting value priced socks at Walmart - go to someone you can get to know and trust.
