My wife and I love going to RUSA. My only complaint is that we can't go as much as we want. The folks there are super frienand helpful. Not all ranges are. The one thing somecfolks might think of as a downside is that the range lanes are still old school, and not computerized. With computer driven lanes, the touch screens can be ... uncooperative. Member for a few years, generally good experience but have occasionally run into "policy issues" from corporate rules that have been inconvenient. Local people have tried to make exceptions. Had a gun stolen and recovered, AFT sent an inquiry and that caused them to suspend my ability to shoot there until I came up with a police report. read more

Came today to Range USA Today. To sight a new green dot on a new gun and forgot the little flathead tool to adjust it. Didn't notice until I got into the lane. Asked the attendant hey can I borrow one from them. The response was "sorry we sell them so you'll need to buy one." Any time this has happened at other ranges they've always just tossed me one. So I told the guy ok no problem. Knowing I'll hop on yelp and 1 star you. Then Google and 1 star you and I'll just go back to rifle gear. If I would have known this was their response I woulda walked out before I paid for a lane. Getting repeat business is about the small things. Which doesn't include being small minded. read more

I was a member for 4 years. They started changing their policies for what appears to be (in my opinion) nothing more than a "cash grab", veiled as "safety". For example, on one occasion, I came in with 2 additional shooters. I was told that they no longer would allow more than 2 shooters per lane because of their new safety protocols. As such, I needed to pay for the 3rd shooter to have their own lane. So, I did. Then, when they assigned us to a lane, they put all 3 of us in the same lane. So, was their new policy really about safety, or was it about charging for an additional lane? On a second trip, I went with my son and one of his friends. Both were 20 years old. The three of us shot pistols there before, over the last couple of years. However, on this visit, they said my son's friend could not shoot pistols because he was under 21 and his parent/legal guardian was not there. I wasn't upset, but I did make the comment, "That's odd, I guess I did not realize that was a policy, is that new? I have been coming here shooting pistols for over 3 years with my kids and their friends, including with these same kids last week, and this never came up as an issue." A person, who presented himself as authority figure (maybe shift manager) stormed over (very upset), pointing his finger at me, said, "Well, that's on you. You violated the terms of your waiver. Didn't you read it before you signed it?" Then, he stormed off shaking his head in disgust. In my mind, I am thinking, "Yeah, but you have been checking in these same boys, reviewing their driver's licenses for the last several years, and no one on your staff realized that one of them had a different last name and address?" I would expect that the staff would know the policies better than the customer and would have said something 3 years ago. I am a person who tries to abide by the rules. If it was in the waiver, then it was an honest oversight on my part. I will own that. However, my honest mistake does not give the employee the license to publicly berate one of their members. I let my membership lapse, never to return. read more

Chris G denied me to shoot even though I've shot here before I forgot my ID but I had a picture front and back. Clearly registered in the system before, clearly a valid state ID. He could have easily checked. He had an attitude as soon as we walked up saying he, closes in 45 mins that we can't shoot long. Range USA - Range - Gun/Rifle Ranges Near Me - Lewisville, Texas

This place is a nice spot for both shooting and gun shopping. For the range, you pay up front and just keep your ID after they check and have your information. Price is along the lines of other ranges I've been to. It is air conditioned with an RSO there to make sure everyone is safe and doing ok. They have stools and a rifle rest to use if you need to zero in an optic. You can shoot pistols in the rifle lanes too. Biggest plus is that they're not as restrictive on ammo type as most other spots. They allow steel and aluminum casing. Just not the green tip steel core type ammo. That rule is mainly around at ranges just because they don't want to sort through the nom brass casings when they use it for their own reloading. Also they allow slugs for shotguns. No buckshot/birdshot that spreads and hits their equipment. Biggest downside is that it's an hour time limit when ranges usually just let you stay as long as you want unless it's a busy weekend time maybe. So if you don't intend to shoot for long and/or have ammo other places don't allow then this is an ideal place to shoot. The store side has very good customer service and a bunch of guns to choose from. Maybe not the absolute cheapest you can find but still competitively priced. I honestly wouldn't mind spending a bit more here if they help me out with good input and customer service. I've seen people get free range vouchers for buying guns here as well, which pretty much makes up for the price difference already. read more

Well lit and a comfortable temperature inside the range which you would think should be a given that in an indoor range but not always. All the controls work and range officers are attentive. I am not usually a fan of paying hourly for range time (especially when there are ranges in the area that charge a flat rate for the day), but I understand people are running a business and it is what it is. I will admit I have only used the range when I have purchased guns here and gotten free range time. Range officers are relatively friendly, I do not usually interact with them as in my opinion they are there to make sure you aren't doing anything unsafe and if I'm not interacting with them I consider that good a good thing. The couple times I have gone I haven't seen any range officers being assholes to anyone for no reason. Where I think Shoot Point Blank exceeds expectations is in the retail side. I have been to ranges before where the people behind the counter are clueless. This is where I have to give them props. I have purchased 3 firearms from them and everytime I pick something out I feel well informed about the purchase and that it will accomplish what I came to the store for. There have also been instances where the person behind the counter had advised me to go a different direction that what I thought I wanted and they have not led me astray. Ammo prices are high but I understand what the market is like and if I want to pay it I will and if I can find it cheaper elsewhere that's what I'll do. On the range side I would say it is probably a 4 out of 5. Nothing wrong but nothing special. It is an indoor range doing what it's supposed to do. On the retail side it is definitely a 5 out of 5. Great service today! Shoutout to Courtney, who was a great help during my transaction. I have not shopped at SPB before this morning. I purchased a handgun from an online retailer and had it delivered to this store (they're one of the closest stores to me with an FFL, Federal Firearm License) for an official transfer. It was delivered early in the week, but I could not pick it up until Friday. SPB told me that this was no problem - they said that they could hold the gun for as long as I needed. Excellent customer convenience! When I finally could go in to pick up my firearm, I learned that my driver's license was out of date due to a change of address. Luckily, SPB let me actually apply for and fill out the online form for a change of address on a store computer! I was worried that I would have to leave and come back, but it took about 15 minutes to get this sorted out. There weren't many people working, but the employees did a good job of being attentive and multitasking while helping me and the other customers. Also, the store was quite apolitical compared to other places I've visited, which is a nice change of pace for a Texas gun store. Ammo prices were higher than I wanted to pay, though I've learned to expect that during the ammo shortage. I checked their prices just in case, but I ended up purchasing ammo elsewhere. However, the service was good enough that I don't want to lower my rating over that. read more

My boyfriend and I were excited to try this facility as it is close to us...but We won't be back. They charged us for every little thing. Ended up pay $100 and they said, once all transactions were made, "Awe, you should have gotten the membership for $40. Way cheaper. " So, no one could have brought that up during the transactions? That was meant to get more money out of us. Which really sucks that this is their practice. We won't be back. Today, my family and I were at Range USA in Lewisville. As someone who has been a member for the last 3 years I have not only been treated with respect but created multiple friendships with some of the workers there and purchased multiple firearms from them as well. The recent lack of professionalism has changed how I view Range USA. Today as my family and I were shooting our firearms we had a worker come up to us and make inappropriate comments and inappropriate gestures to my family, my girlfriend and I. The comments included were "I thought you were the other guy and just wide and fat" -"You're too young for me and I'm too old for you anyways, but you can date my son" knowing that I, her boyfriend am standing right there. "If he doesn't take you to a nice dinner I'm gonna have to have a talk with him" not only that the worker had continued to mock my girlfriend and make inappropriate comments to her to the point to where we had to leave After being harassed the entire duration of our time there. After speaking with a manager the reply back I got was "there's two sides to every story" and "I expressed to him the biggest thing is safety not to joke around.". After I hand my ID to the clerk, I was told that i wouldn't be able to shoot MY OWN firearms because of my age and "atf regulations" . This literally made me cringe. So I called to see if there was ammo available -and was told there was. Although, I was told I couldn't buy ammo unless I'm either using the shooting range, buying a firearm OR have a monthly paid membership. I stated "well, I not only just spent money there buying mags and accessories, but I just got my LTC there and just purchased a SIG P365 about a month prior. The store attendant stated "If the firearm wasn't purchased within the last 2 weeks, it will not qualify me to buy ammo. If this isn't the worse and most crooked business practice that I have ever encountered. So basically, my money there is NO GOOD to buy ammo unless I am either paying a monthly membership fee, buying (another) firearm or using the shooting range. Went in to pickup a gun with a valid texas chl and was told because I renewed my permit and have not received my new permit my is no longer valid and they would have to do a background check I have never heard of this and called the texas dps and was told that is not true your permit is valid until you receive the new one at that point the old one is invalid I have purchased lots of firearms and never heard of this and never had them check my permit thru the ATF be careful buying from this company they are not based in Texas and don't seem to follow Texas gun laws indid get in touch with corporate to cancel order and they wanted to charge me 10 percent to return a firearm that has never left the store go to academy or any other store in the lewisville Texas where they honor a Texas Chlwithout secret ATF checks read more

As a first timer at a shooting range they made the process extremely effortless. I walked right in and asked about the special they had for the day and they explained what was covered with that which was only the range time for 1 hour. That was plenty of time for a first timer. After that I had to sign my waiver and pay for the waiver that covers for a year, pay for my rentals which included safety goggles, ear protection, ammo, a gun and the targets to shoot at which they had a variety of. The total price with the couples special for Fridays was $85 total. I think it was well worth it because I thoroughly enjoyed my experience. Before going into the range I had to use the restroom and to my surprise there were 4 stalls and super clean. Once we got into the shooting range we were greeted by Andy and he was readily available to answer all my questions and teach me how to properly use each gun I rented. The range was full, every lane had someone in it. Regardless of how full the range was Andy was readily available for everyone and extremely personable. It was very comforting. I came in today and was browsing around and found a used Springfield XD subcompact that I wanted to purchase I wasn't sure yet but it was at a good price of 289.99 so later in the day I decided to make a return trip to purchase a firearm for 289.99 and dealt with a knew Clerk who took my information and we did all the paperwork and when I was ready to purchase the firearm he could not get the right price in the system and call for an assistant Manager to come over and they said that the firearm was marked wrong on the shelf and that the price was considerably more in the system and they would not honor the price that was shown on the shelf they offered a measly 5% off and some range passes and I told them that I made a special trip to come back up here just for that price and that firearm and if they should honor it so he got the other manager that's working today and he came over and said there was nothing he could do for me and was bragging about the fact that the owners get paid off their bonuses from their margins on the purchase of a firearm and said he couldn't do anything more than 5% because they would affect the margin and affect their boss from getting their bonus which I thought was very unprofessional and not a good way of doing business so I ended up leaving with no firearm and very disappointed in your store I have shopped there multiple times and used the range and got my LTC in Lewisville and North Richland Hills. They are aggressive on driving memberships but it's on par w any other business driving credit cards. It is a clean facility. I have found their prices to be competitive to Academy and Scheels. They have an abundance of AR mags and other items that Academy has failed to stock since the pandemic and has cranked up prices. They do run sales events and I've found good deals on AR mags, Glock high cap mags, etc. read more

This place does not have good business practices. It does not state on their website that they do not give cash refunds. I signed up for a class there and the same day I found a Groupon for $37.50. So I cancelled the class and resigned up with the Groupon. I ask them to refund my money and they sent me a gift card only good at their store. I do not plan on buying anything from their store so they just go $81.00 dollars for free. I will buy a gun somewhere else as I am sure they are way to expensive there. I would not trust them enough to buy a gun there anyway. Moral of the story is read the fine print if you can find it and know that they will keep your money if you have to cancel for any reason. I will never used this place again and I intend to tell everyone I know not to go there. I am also going to post it on Facebook. This is totally my own fault for not doing my homework.
