We checked in at the shop. They were very patient with us as they explained the prices, options etc. Since we were all rooks they said we'd have an instructor help us out and set us up with a larger practice trap stand which had extra bench space. They also offer complementary water which we grabbed on our way to the shooting area. Practice traps are the kind that always shoot in generally the same spot so you don't have to track a sideways moving target. We had a 20ga shotgun which has a smaller recoil. Prices were reasonable. 15/25 traps and then 13/25 ammo, and the gun was 20. Our instructor John met us at the stand. It was a bit of a wait but once he got there he showed us the ropes and hung out with us, helping us out and just being a cool guy. We were there about 1.5 hrs. He said he's been shooting for about 40 years, and his knowledge and expertise is impressive. They get a break and the owner does not even tell him I brought in his water- I had to go and tell her and she still did not tell him he had water to drink. DO NOT bring your kids here- they can care less about your child if they can't even do something as simple as pointing to a bottle of water. This session was only $20 but I wouldn't even pay $0.20 to come again. No thanks I'd rather give my business to someone who would actually care about my kid.

Everyone at every age is welcome and the staff goes out of their way to help. All the instructors have their own style. I enjoy taking some classes from Erik, then Becky, then Johnny, etc. They are all great. You can rotate like I do, or just find the one you connect with best. These instructors are very down to earth and approachable for help. My kids are all grown, but I have been there when the kids classes are going on. I would definitely recommend this crew for kids.
