It was our first time there and the people there were so nice. They walked us through what we needed for safety. made sure we had our safety classes and made sure we had our eye protection and ear protection. They showed us the different areas they had for rifle and for handguns . It was a great experience.

Basic Handgun Course - 3 hours and 30 minutes

My husband and I took the "Basic Handgun Course" at Texas Legends. Our instructor, Jose, was so thorough, knowledgeable, and patient! The course was about 3 and a half hours long, but time flew by because Jose was so engaging and made the class easily digestible! There were a couple of breaks in between so people can grab snacks, use the restroom, or take a break. I enjoyed the classroom learning portion as well as the chance to practice at the range!

I am a novice having only shot a revolver once in my life many years ago and the staff here are patient and top class. As a beginner the process for accessing the gun range was all new to me. Step 1: you need to sign a waiver and register on line from your phone. Only took a few minutes. Step 2: turn in your drivers license Step 3: if you didn't bring bullets, ear plugs or goggles, buy those Step 4. Select some target sheets like a large poster of the villain aiming a gun at you. Step 5. Receive your lane assignment. Step 6. Fire away. Spent an hour and half with my friends firing a revolver and a Glock. Was super fun. So fun that one day, I'd like to get my own fire arm. Everyone who worked here were sincere, friendly, and very professional. If you are a beginner like me, you will love this place. Thanks staff here for making this an exciting and unforgettable experience.

Awesome state of the art bays

I've lived in Texas for quite some time, but for some reason haven't really had an opportunity to get out to a gun range. After shooting with a few friends in the last couple weeks at various locations in the metroplex, I finally decided to give the place closest to my home a try. I made some mods to one of your handguns and wanted a chance to see how it felt. To my delight, this place is clean, the staff is friendly, and the place is an excellent Outpost to relax and practice your range firing I especially love the bays, they are state of the art and simple to use. This place has everything you need from targets, to rental weapons, to very knowledgeable employees that can easily walk a person not too experienced through some of the processes. I've been shooting often, but still loved having someone explain their processes and safety precautions. The place gets a little busy on the weekends, but I was still able to get a bay pretty easily. You walk in, give them your license, sign a waiver if its your first time, then get to your business. You pay for your bay and your targets after you are done, so you can use as many targets as you want and have a great time (targets are two buck each). I only spent about an hour and a half here, but in an hour and a half I had seamless range time, and the place is not too expensive either. It's a delight to have an outlet when I want to get out and take a few shots down the range, I plan on frequenting this place often.

I'm visiting my Daughter in Texas and she wanted to go to 'do something', so we we decided to go to a Shooting Range (it is Texas, after all). She found the Texas Legends Gun Range in Allen, TX so we went to try it. My Daughter had a new 9mm Sig Sauer that she'd never shot before, so we took our guns (YES! It's Texas - so I brought my guns with me) to go shooting. The 15-minute drive was quick w/o traffic and we arrived in ready to test our marksmanship. We quickly filled out our shooting waivers and acknowledged we'd read the Range's rules for shooting. We picked up our targets and went to find our shooting lanes. Once we were set up, I gave my Daughter some very sage and sound advice - don't shoot me! The Range Master cane over and helped my daughter get ready to shoot. He gave her directions on gun safety, the do's & don't's of shooting, and the proper firing techniques. Almost an hour later, we'd finished blasting our targets to 'kingdom come' and packed our equipment and left. I was a great 'bonding moment'. We'll definitely go back again.

First visit and had a good experience. Took one star off for cost of 2nd shooter sharing a lane... management needs to adjust that price. Also, targets seem overpriced compared to most ranges but obviously won't break the bank. Range is clean and front end is well managed. I did not see any range safety manager but it was an early morning session, not very busy. You pay after you shoot (hold your ID) and you are not timed... ample time to get your shooting done. Targeting system is more advanced than most ranges. Able to setup shooting scenarios and time your shooting based on skill setting. The target will turn to give you seconds to shoot. Very cool. There is a membership option. I'll be back but not sure I'll sign up for a membership. Still waiting for ammo prices to get back to normal so I can do more shooting.

A little pricey on the lanes but overall a nice place. Staff friendly and courteous. Restrooms nice and clean. Staff offered help when needed. Family had a blast.

One of the range hands looked to be 20 at best. Young enough to be our kid. Anyway, he kept asking about my gun case because I had a .40 sitting in it and not at the shooting area. I had explained to him I wanted to shoot it, but they didn't have .40 ammo. He didn't like that my case was open with the gun inside. He asked my friend to close my case which my friend did. I finished going through my two mags, went back to our area and noticed my case closed. My buddy said, "The kid was nervous it was opened and asked me to close it". No big deal, all good. Except, we were asked to leave by another range employee because he didn't like us referring to the other guy was "the kid". There was no harm intended. We weren't being derogatory, it was simply a description, the young man could have been our kid so my friend referred to him as ". The kid ". We were kicked out because of that. It won't hurt them, it won't hurt my friend, and it won't hurt me....but he nor I will return. I get safety issues. I get hate speech, but this was ridiculous

I recently moved to Texas and wanted to get my License To Carry (LTC), so I did a brief search on…read morethe interwebz and lo and behold I found this place near my apartment, so I signed up! First let me say that I am new to this whole process and relatively new to firearms. I shot basic qualifications in the Air Force but nothing too crazy and I've only really shot with friends at a few ranges. So aside from wanting to get my LTC, I also wanted to learn "the right way" in general, and this company exceeded my expectations. First, the class is a one day thing, so you don't have to go back on any other days, it's a one-shot (see what I did there?) deal. I initially signed up for a class on a Friday, and it was cancelled due to extreme rain. However, they offered a $10 discount to reschedule, which was a nice gesture. So I rescheduled for a Sunday and had better luck. Also, they have classes on weekdays and weekends to fit your schedule, so that was also nice. The instructors, Phil and Cesare, are both excellent. They are both active duty police firearms instructors ans have over 20 years of teaching experienc. The class was fairly small, only 18 people. I've read of some other companies that have much larger classes, but I prefer smaller and it made for a friendly environment. The class consists of two portions, the range and the classroom. The range portion is actually a lot of fun and the instructors are 100% safety oriented and they explain everything in great detail as well as instruct you step by step on your qualification. You can also ask any and all questions and they will answer and help you. The classroom portion is extremely informative in many subjects. The instructors walk you through applicable state laws (there are many) and even though the new LTC state requirements are a condensed version of the requirements in previous years, they do a great job covering quite a bit of information. They do so with professionalism and a sense of humor, the kind you might expect from seasoned veterans! One more thing; aside from covering legal aspects of LTC, they teach you psychological aspects and you leave the class feeling informed and also a sense of responsibility. The classroom itself is nice and comfortable, and there are snacks, coffee, water, etc. You pay the initial portion (a deposit) online and the remaining portion at the class with cash, check, or card. They offer a discount for paying by cash or card, which I took advantage of. The class is $89, but I did end up getting $14 off because of the rain and because I paid cash. After the class is completed, they send step by step instructions via email on how to complete your LTC process with the state. Aside from that, Phil is available via cell phone for any questions. All in all a great experience, very professional, very safety-oriented, and most of all I will definitely be back for some of their other courses. Highly recommend.
