I have been here a couple times using their handgun range as well as their rifle range. Every time I have been there, the staff has been very friendly. I love being able to talk and joke about a range of things ( pun intended ). The range is clean and ran with safety as a priority. The only issue I have is my fat ass feels like I'm about to break their chairs. That's more a "me" issue though. I think I will only shoot here as I feel like family when I am there. Even if by family, I mean that cousin you tolerate. :). Seriously though, this place is an awesome place to send rounds down range. Highly recommend!!!! read more

My husband and I took the "Basic Handgun Course" at Texas Legends. Our instructor, Jose, was so thorough, knowledgeable, and patient! The course was about 3 and a half hours long, but time flew by because Jose was so engaging and made the class easily digestible! There were a couple of breaks in between so people can grab snacks, use the restroom, or take a break. I am a novice having only shot a revolver once in my life many years ago and the staff here are patient and top class. As a beginner the process for accessing the gun range was all new to me. Step 1: you need to sign a waiver and register on line from your phone. Only took a few minutes. Step 2: turn in your drivers license Step 3: if you didn't bring bullets, ear plugs or goggles, buy those Step 4. Select some target sheets like a large poster of the villain aiming a gun at you. Step 5. Receive your lane assignment. Step 6. Fire away. Spent an hour and half with my friends firing a revolver and a Glock. Was super fun. So fun that one day, I'd like to get my own fire arm. Everyone who worked here were sincere, friendly, and very professional. If you are a beginner like me, you will love this place. I've lived in Texas for quite some time, but for some reason haven't really had an opportunity to get out to a gun range. After shooting with a few friends in the last couple weeks at various locations in the metroplex, I finally decided to give the place closest to my home a try. I made some mods to one of your handguns and wanted a chance to see how it felt. To my delight, this place is clean, the staff is friendly, and the place is an excellent Outpost to relax and practice your range firing I especially love the bays, they are state of the art and simple to use. This place has everything you need from targets, to rental weapons, to very knowledgeable employees that can easily walk a person not too experienced through some of the processes. I've been shooting often, but still loved having someone explain their processes and safety precautions. The place gets a little busy on the weekends, but I was still able to get a bay pretty easily. You walk in, give them your license, sign a waiver if its your first time, then get to your business. You pay for your bay and your targets after you are done, so you can use as many targets as you want and have a great time (targets are two buck each). I only spent about an hour and a half here, but in an hour and a half I had seamless range time, and the place is not too expensive either. It's a delight to have an outlet when I want to get out and take a few shots down the range, I plan on frequenting this place often. read more

I'm visiting my Daughter in Texas and she wanted to go to 'do something', so we we decided to go to a Shooting Range (it is Texas, after all). She found the Texas Legends Gun Range in Allen, TX so we went to try it. My Daughter had a new 9mm Sig Sauer that she'd never shot before, so we took our guns (YES! It's Texas - so I brought my guns with me) to go shooting. The 15-minute drive was quick w/o traffic and we arrived in ready to test our marksmanship. We quickly filled out our shooting waivers and acknowledged we'd read the Range's rules for shooting. We picked up our targets and went to find our shooting lanes. Once we were set up, I gave my Daughter some very sage and sound advice - don't shoot me! The Range Master cane over and helped my daughter get ready to shoot. He gave her directions on gun safety, the do's & don't's of shooting, and the proper firing techniques. Almost an hour later, we'd finished blasting our targets to 'kingdom come' and packed our equipment and left. I was a great 'bonding moment'. We'll definitely go back again. read more

First visit and had a good experience. Took one star off for cost of 2nd shooter sharing a lane... management needs to adjust that price. Also, targets seem overpriced compared to most ranges but obviously won't break the bank. Range is clean and front end is well managed. I did not see any range safety manager but it was an early morning session, not very busy. You pay after you shoot (hold your ID) and you are not timed... ample time to get your shooting done. Targeting system is more advanced than most ranges. Able to setup shooting scenarios and time your shooting based on skill setting. The target will turn to give you seconds to shoot. Very cool. There is a membership option. I'll be back but not sure I'll sign up for a membership. Still waiting for ammo prices to get back to normal so I can do more shooting. read more

I have been shooting here for about 5 years and have a membership. The staff is always courteous and a lot know me by sight and are like family. I wanted to address a new addition specifically on this review. The facility is tooling up a new Intro to IDPA (International Defensive Pistol Association) course. This is for shooters that are comfortable with their firearm, can safely draw, move with a firearm, and change magazines safely. If you aren't proficient in these areas, I am certain you can book some one on one training and get you ready. IDPA is competitive shooting, and it is a wonderful activity for honing your shooting skills. As an aside I really enjoy the IDPA culture as well. The class walks you from a lot of ground rules and safety measures to shooting a very basic course of fire, to the end of the class where you get to shoot thru a stage like you would see at a match. This course will prep you enough to go to your 1st match for sure. I had no issues attending a match after my 1st training with Eric. I do mentor new shooters, and when the time comes they are ready, will definitely recommend this course. read more

Came here for a date with the girlfriend and had such a great time that we decided to come back for a safety class. The class was taught by Mike on a Saturday morning and it was very educational, entertaining and both my girlfriend and I greatly improved our shooting skills and both feel more comfortable handling guns. We are excited to come back to these clean facilities again soon and practice our shooting. I had previously left a 5 star review as I have had nothing but good experiences here but after my last visit this establishment will not longer receive my business. The curly headed blonde kid was probably one of the most arrogant rude people I have ever come across in my life. I am a dealer at all of the local DFW gun shows and have recommended this range to 100's if not thousands of people. After this past experience I will recommend my customers to go anywhere except for here! I hope in the future they will hire people with better attitude and an actual knowledge of firearms. My husband and I love this place. The nicest indoor facility I've yet to come to. We're used to shooting outdoors on our land, but since moving to Texas we can't do that in our HOA hahaha. The staff is super friendly and knowledgeable. Very strict on rules.... They have a nice selection of paper targets and offer different areas for shooting. The place is very clean and I love that you can stay as long as you want. I will say the price is a little on the high side, but it's a nice place in a nice area. We went on Saturday, early afternoon, with a group of 4. Despite the parking lot being FULL, we were able to get a bay very quickly. The facility itself is extremely clean, well organized and well lit. ALL staff...I repeat, ALL staff were AMAZING. You can tell that they take pride in their jobs and are passionate about firearms, safety and teaching. Jared offered help and suggestions when needed, shared stories and was gracious enough to let me see his personal Glock 19 (basically my exact gun BUT on steroids with amazing motivations!) I'm new to ranges, so I don't know how it compares to others, but my wife and I went for a beginners class and really enjoyed it. Our instructor, Greg, was really nice and made the lesson interesting and fun, with a strong emphasis on safety. The range time was great as well, with them giving us the opportunity to try out several different handguns. While they made it fun, they at all times were professional and safety conscious. Facility wise, it looks modern and well done, but again, I don't have any comparison. So, overall we had a very good experience and will be back for some range time. read more

We are fortunate to have quite a few good gun ranges in this area and I've been to all of them. But Texas Legends is definitely my favorite. The faculties are excellent and there are none better in DFW. The prices are right inline with the other good ranges here. But what separates them is the staff. All of them are focused on seeing customers and being as helpful as possible. I've had them offer assistance to me when I was missing a particular tool to adjust a sight and they went into their personal gear bag to get the tools I needed. That's just one example. The high standards of service are a credit to the management of Texas Legends. Clearly they want their customers to have a great experience in every way. read more

Nice facility with very courteous staff. Great array of targets to choose from. Easy to understand directions on how to operate the remote target field and you can choose how close or far your target is from you. You can even change how far at any time. The parking is weird though, since the entrance is not near it. Major flaw in the design and a long walk when you have heavy gear to bring in and out. read more

Went here for the first time today (weekday) and had a very positive experience. I'm Asian and was very pleased with the customer service and the friendly range safety officer who popped in and out of my shooting bay to check on me. Wanted to shoot my new guns and found that they had plenty of pistol lanes available. The whole place has air conditioning and it feels great inside. Upon approaching the counter and stating I wanted to use the range, I was prompted to scan a QR code with my phone (used a QR scanner app) which took me to their website to read, fill out and digitally sign the safety agreements. Handed over my ID, already had eye and ear protection, stated how many targets I needed (all the same price of $2) and headed off to do my thing after gearing up at a bench. Their target selection is very wide and I saw several that would be fun to shoot at. The pistol bay was very modern with touch screen controls for how far you wanted the target to go, the lighting preference and even some shooting programs which I didn't use during my first visit but I'm sure will be fun later on. It was very clean and had folding chairs. The RSO even asked a group of some new shooters if they needed extra chairs which was very nice of him. All in all, this will be my go to range in this area. Was cool to see 2-3 other groups of Asians and other minorities there as well. I might go to this place for my License to Carry classes soon. Also, was told that even with their numerous lanes, it does get pretty busy on the weekends. Only members can reserve lanes in advance. read more
