This was the range that I went to for my firing range test when I was getting my CHL with Elite Handgun Academy. The location is really easy to get to from 635 and is actually pretty large. Although this was my first time at a firing range, I wish the firing stalls were a little farther apart or at least had more extended walls so that the shells didn't hit everyone because it made it hard to focus. However, I don't know whether or not this is normal but I felt very confident in the location and the safety equipment we used there! As soon as I try other locations I might update this review, from what I understand they also host their own classes here so definitely check them out!

My husband and I decided to get our CHL and we went on Groupon and got a good deal for both of us. You should show up early and get a good seat because the classes get packed. If you have a gun you will need to put it in the closet before you sit down. Our teacher was Blake and this is a guy that looks like he's straight out of Sons of Anarchy tv show! He's a badass! He is loud, hilarious, knowledge and serious all in one person! He keeps you awake and alert in the whole class! The class says 4 hrs but you have to shoot so that takes you back on some time. I would definitely plan your day for just that class because they don't give you a time when your done. We were there from 8:30am-3:00pm with no breaks. You should eat a big breakfast before going and bring a water to drink. If you don't know how to shoot or load a gun you will need to practice before you go. They will not teach you how to shoot in this class. For you to pass you will need to pass the shooting part as well as the test!! Another thing make sure you shoot your gun before going because there was a couple of guys where there gun malfunctioned and stopped working and they didn't pass. Blake was a amazing teacher!!! I felt like I learned so much! He teaches you where you can bring your gun, when you can shoot it, when you can't, if you shoot someone what to do about it. I mean everything!! I think everyone should come here and take a class from Blake because you will learn so much even if you just want a gun in the house for safety.

Overall, the facility is great. The only issue I've ever had is with the employee monitors in the shooting lanes. They hover, and it gets pretty distracting. If you unknowingly break one of the rules (they're a lot of them and they aren't posted) they descend on you and brusquely correct the error. These aren't mean people - they're just doing their job, and it's an important one. However, there's got to be a better way to ensure a safe shooting environment. I'm really conscientious about obeying the range rules, but I can't get through a clip without at least one of these rather harsh admonitions. Again, the place is solid... but there should be a more constructive way to help people that want to follow the rules. The distraction and awkwardness of the constant interruptions affect the experience.

Following that I signed up for 1 on 1 training with John. I got sick a couple days before & tried to reschedule. The app on the website didnt have that functionality so I called. They couldnt figure it out either but required me to pay 50% anyway. Their app doesnt work so I was forced to pay $50 for a lesson where I would likely get the instructor sick. Rather than reschedule, I will just cancel and find another range. disappointed!

I had been talking about getting my LTC for a while now but I honestly didn't know when and how to start. So seeing this opportunity I instantly bought My ticket and waited anxiously. A little nervous because I've only shot a gun once, one time and no proper training. I wanted to be able to use a gun and protect myself when I needed too. In January 2020 someone tried to break into my home. I knew I needed a gun and training. When the class arrived we were all greeted and made feel welcome. The information Trent gave to us was very valuable. I really liked the way he was very calm and confidence in everything he said. He answered all the questions we had. Made us laugh and never over complicated things. His team was also great and knowledgeable. Once we made it to the range to go shoot. I was a little nervous but..... i was ready to shoot. He taught us how to load and empty , how to shoot, stand and aim. I am so very greatful for this class. I highly recommend this gun service to anyone. It's black owned too so support. You will learn all of your basics and still be comfortable with a gun no matter how new you are

The people are all about just wanting you to understand what motivates you, what stops you, what scares you? They do it in a fun way. There is dream interpretation, goal setting, visualization and real conversations that get past all the bullshit. I took classes here when I lived in Dallas and I still have the literature that was given to me. I've moved from state to state and I still have them because I recognize the value. It raised my awareness gave me a greater understanding of what consciousness is, about living meditatively. I would definitely go back, I would definitely participate in there activities. I could never forget these great folks even if I tried. You can choose your level of commitment, if you want a short class or if you want something more extensive. This place is definitely worth it and they survive completely off donations. This is a not-for-profit 501c3 status organization, and that to me added a real feel of legitimacy because I didn't feel like they were just a bunch of kooks who wanted my money. They are just a bunch of kooks who really care about humanity. I know this may sound corny but if you got with open arms these people will embrace you and connect with you. My words are really not enough to truly explain. Thought is cause.
