My brother and I decided to go shoot and we showed up and there was 5 people just sitting around (some I know are certified RSO's) and only half the range was open. We were told there was going to be an hour wait, I responded ok sounds good and the manager responds back with something along the lines of ok bye. I had to clarify that I still wanted to shoot and what pisses me off the most is that we had a lane less than 10 minutes later. It was like he was trying to get rid of us. We then go in to shoot and come out to rent some different guns and he keeps skipping us in line and helping other people check in knowing we're in line. Also there was someone shooting with a "Charlie Kirk Deserved It" shirt which is concerning. Don't get me wrong I love almost everyone else that works there but this guy should not have a job. I canceled my membership and my brother canceled his before we walked out the door.

Northwest ISD says it tried to work with the owner on safety improvements and couldn't even get a commitment. The district isn't asking to shut the range down. They're asking for reasonable safety measures to keep bullets from leaving the property. How is that even controversial? Every gun owner knows you are responsible for where your rounds go. If there's a credible possibility rounds from my range could be reaching a middle school, I'm doing everything possible to make sure it can never happen again. I'm not making the school district sue me. I support gun ranges. I want this one to stay open. But responsible gun ownership means taking safety seriously, especially when kids are involved. Context. We were a group of 6 people with variable amounts of shooting experience and none of us…read morehad used shot guns. We got uere around 11am on a Sunday. It wasn't busy. We checked in at the shop. They were very patient with us as they explained the prices, options etc. Since we were all rooks they said we'd have an instructor help us out and set us up with a larger practice trap stand which had extra bench space. They also offer complementary water which we grabbed on our way to the shooting area. Practice traps are the kind that always shoot in generally the same spot so you don't have to track a sideways moving target. We had a 20ga shotgun which has a smaller recoil. Prices were reasonable. 15/25 traps and then 13/25 ammo, and the gun was 20. Our instructor John met us at the stand. It was a bit of a wait but once he got there he showed us the ropes and hung out with us, helping us out and just being a cool guy. We were there about 1.5 hrs. This was a fantastic experience and im definitely coming back.
