This is for the Houston location. Texas de Brazil was my niece's pick for a family outing, and since I was visiting Texas, how could we not? I've been to Brazilian steakhouses before, including Fogo de Chão, but this was a fun family experience and an absolute gluttony of meat! The service was excellent, and it honestly felt like the servers were in friendly competition with each other to see who could bring us the most meat! Every time we turned around, here came another skewer. My sister likes her meat well done (yes, she ruins it!), and they were even kind enough to bring out skewers cooked just for her. The rest of us enjoyed our meat the way it's supposed to be! And of course, there's that little card you flip over when you finally admit defeat and can't possibly eat another bite. But the real standout for me was the lobster bisque! I'm very particular about my lobster bisque. In fact, if I have a bad one somewhere, I feel compelled to go somewhere else to make up for it! I had TWO servings here, and I can confidently say it was just as good as, if not better than, the lobster bisque at Mastro's in Newport Beach. And that's saying something! The mashed potatoes were good, but those warm, cheesy rolls they bring to the table? Oh my goodness! Absolutely delicious! We devoured the entire basket, requested another, and polished that one off too. Probably not the smartest move when you're supposed to be saving room for all that meat, but they were impossible to resist. And somehow, despite all that food, we still managed to make room for crème brûlée for dessert. Because really, how could we not? Overall, a delicious, entertaining family outing with excellent service, endless meat, unforgettable lobster bisque, and cheesy rolls that are downright dangerous. I came with a large group to celebrate two of my favorite people who share a birthday, so it was already a great occasion! The salad bar is HUGE and has so many options--but don't fill up because it's very easy to do! If you're gluten-free, definitely ask. They were really good about letting me know what I could have. And the little "muffin bread" is actually cheesy bread and gluten-free, which was a nice surprise. The filet mignon was by far my favorite of the meats. The chicken was okay, but some pieces were a little dry. With the steaks, I learned it's worth waiting for the cut you actually want rather than just taking what comes by. Definitely get the sauces from the salad bar--they make a huge difference! The service was the only slightly odd part. I came here with my boyfriend for a very special occasion, and I have to say the food was absolutely delicious. Our server was also wonderful and provided great service throughout our meal. Unfortunately, our experience took a turn when another server was clearing plates from a nearby table. She had too much dip on her chip, dropped a plate right in front of our table, and it sounded like it shattered. Mashed potatoes ended up all over my boyfriend and even in my hair. To make matters worse, some of the servers were laughing afterward, which was incredibly upsetting given the situation. We came in as a party of 11 on a Sunday (we had a reservation). It was cold outside so it was nice that they unlocked the doors a little early so people could wait inside. We were seated very quickly and Roberto was our main server. He was very attentive and kept drinks filled to the top, periodically checked in to ask if we wanted other meats to come by, and was overall a very pleasant person. We are an outgoing and talkative bunch and he chatted with is at different moments during our meal. 100/10 service! The food was delicious. I always love when they have the ribs. I would normally never rate Texas de Brazil this low, but on this particular experience, our service was truly lacking. It started off okay, we made reservations for Sunday afternoon, and we're fortunate to find close street parking. When we walked in, we were greeted, and because we were there a little early, we started at the bar for a drink. I asked the waitress a question, but I could tell English was her second language, and she had a hard time communicating with me. So I just ordered what I knew. Once we got to the table, it took a little while for are plates to be brought, but once we got them, we started turning our cards over. Unfortunately there were 2 large parties near us, and it felt like we had to wait to even be offered meat options. Then, my husband asked for A1 sauce and they brought him like three different saucers. However, it took them almost 30 minutes to get it to him and at that point he was almost done eating his food. We had friends that also ordered a dessert drink and it probably took about 20 minutes for the drink to be brought to them. A good experience that I had while we were there was the salad bar. I normally never engage with it, but I was truly impressed. They had not only salad of different kinds, but they also had beans, rice, smoked salmon, a fish dish, etc. So that was very enjoyable. I would definitely do the salad bar again. Will we be back? Yes, probably. But I definitely hope the service improves for the amount of money that you pay for the all you can eat. I ordered Texas de Brazil for Thanksgiving and it was pretty disappointing. I get that delivery won't ever be as good as eating in the restaurant, but for $82 I expected a lot more. I received two lamb chops and three pieces of picanha and everything was cold. The meat was also way overcooked even though I asked for medium rare. The driver told me he waited at the restaurant for about 15 minutes so this wasn't on him. It seemed like my food was just sitting there for a while before they handed it off. I've been to this location before and it was at least decent, but this delivery really fell flat. For the price I paid it just wasn't worth it. Obviously I could have gone in and had a better price and enjoyed the ambiance but I was by myself on Thanksgiving. read more

This place is packed on the weekend. We were able to make a last minute reservation for 4:45pm, which was an early dinner for us. There's a paid private parking lot right next to the restaurant that will require less than a 1 minute walk. Their salad bar has tomatoes, cold shrimp, quinoa, asparagus, etc. They also have warm rice and lobster soup. I wish they had fruits because I couldn't find that anywhere. The meat was delicious. However, there was a lot of waiting around. When the meat was ready during the second rotation, a lot of it was what we had already tried. It's pretty loud in the restaurant, especially since we were sitting by the bar. I had the green card up, and said "I'll take one," in which the server misunderstood me as implying I'm good for now. Pro tip; just go with your standard yes (head nod) or no (head shake). Service was excellent. Our server stopped by with fresh pepper. Drinks were refilled accordingly. I love that they tailored some food for my son: French fries, mash potatoes, and fried bananas. He also liked his animal themed water cup. FYI: the restroom is located upstairs. I never knew they had an elevator. I guess taking the stairs gives you a nice view of the restaurant and a great opportunity to get your steps in. The wait staff was excellent, and the tableside servers did a great job. The food however... -Started with a small salad- pretty good except the Ceasar dressing flavor was overwhelmingly salty -The mashed potatoes were only few degrees above room temperature and the garlic was overpowering (I tried them when they arrived) - French fries were pretty much room temp as well (also tried them on arrival) -The plantains were ok, although not really warm -Tried 4 items from the chafing dishes (black beans, rice, mushrooms, and au gratin potatoes). All were (again) barely warmer than room temp. All but the rice was had no taste other garlic and salt. -I can only eat so much meat so I went back for some salad, and tried 2 other dressings. Good quality dressing overall except for the salt- I've never had salad dressing with that level of sodium. -The meats were all good, but their sides fell flat- garlic was the prevalent flavors in all of them, and serving them at just above room temp didn't help. Overall, not impressed. And yes, I've eaten there in the past (although it has been a while). And yes, I like seasonings, including garlic and salt. But not at the level that we experienced. Our last trip to this place. Went for anniversary. Went at 4:30 and hostess tried to seat us right by main waiting area. I said no and she moved us 2 tables down in a party area. Then, we could not understand a word the waiter said, even trying to clarify. (Other tables had difficulty as well). The salad bar was fresh but the ranch was half water. Meat was terrible. I was very surprised. Tri-tip was tough and dry, top sirloin was like shoe leather, parm chicken was nasty and filet was small and had gristle . Dessert cakes looked like they had been sitting on the counter for two days and both had that wet goo on the bottom of them that comes from sitting. We both had stomach aches all night. No alcohol and I drank water and it was $160!! What a waste. Chick Fil A would have been better. Such a disappointment. read more

We took the opportunity to try a new restaurant to celebrate our anniversary. It is obviously a well liked restaurant and very busy. They turn tables very quickly. We made a reservation and were seated within 5 min of arrival. It was very loud in the restaurant, which limits conversations which is not what we were looking for for our anniversary. Our server was okay, but not very personable. The meat servers were great- they came one after the other offering different cuts of meats- they were not consistent with giving meat to temp choice, but since it is all you can eat, you can try the next round that comes around. The salad bar is okay- very lacking in options. We have been to another non-chain Brazilian steak house in the DFW area and their salad bar was way better, with lots of options to include many seafoods. The restaurant was pretty cold, and when we arrived at our table, there were crumbs all over it. My water glass was also very dirty, so the server took it away, but I never received a replacement. When he poured water for my friend, whose glass was clean, he ended up spilling water all over the table. The food itself was okay, but a lot of the cuts we tried were very fatty and tough to chew. Texas de Brazil has always been a favorite place to celebrate special occasions. We booked a reservation tonight for a wedding anniversary . What a disappointment! For starters we had difficulty with the scan and pay system for the parking . Totally ridiculous system. Then we had a long wait to be seated even with a reservation. They seemed to be overbooked. So crowded! It does not have the ambience it used to have. The waiter forgot our drinks and was not attentive in any capacity. When we went to the salad bar it was picked clean . A few pieces of lettuce and some soup left and that's it. I kept waiting for refills that never came and ended up just eating the meats. We could not even talk to each other due to the noise level. This was the worse dining experience I have had. It seems restaurants are more interested in the bottom dollar and how many people they can pack in a room than the customer experience. read more

We had a reservation for a birthday, and unfortunately the experience was disappointing. The table we were seated at was very close to the wall and mirror, making it uncomfortable. We politely asked to move to the table right next to us, but were told it was "reserved." That table remained empty the entire time we were dining, which was frustrating. They seated us in another table kinda the same so we just sat ! Our server's attention was lacking. I would rate the service 2 out of 10, as she seemed more focused on setting up the table next to us than taking care of our needs. Meat Servers 10 out of 10 I love them I seen a few new faces. I want to be clear--I've been a long-time Texas de Brazil customer and truly hate to see it declining. I appreciate many of the servers, as I've known some of them for over 10 years, and they have always provided great service in the past. Sunday dinner, we made reservations on open table a few days prior. Quick, simple, & easy... I also like that they had any special requests on our ticket, very efficient. We had a 4:45pm reservation, arrived a little early & we were able to get seated early. The salad bar & hot sides, I'd go here just for that. Aside from the salad options the smoked salmon, asparagus, & artichokes were my top picks from the salad bar. Next to it they have a few hot sides such as soup, rice, etc. The potatoes au gratin were probably my favorite item of dinner overall, but beware it's VERY rich. Lobster bisque is good, but a little thin. Additional sides brought to your table are mashed potatoes (smooth & creamy!), fried plantains, cheesebread (yes!), & fries. Be careful, you will fill up on sides faster than you realize. I don't have to explain a Brazilian steakhouse (if you don't know, you can gather the concept by reading other reviews), so let's get to the meat. Picanha - good Sausage - delicious, juicy Bacon wrapped chicken - the chicken actually seemed a bit dry Top Sirloin - another good choice Lamb Chop - glad they offer this but it was just okay Flank Steak - this was perfect Many other options as well, it's hard to get to try them all, lol. Good luck if you do! Service was a 4.5 out of 5. We had to ask for knives (they forgot), but things happen. Drink refills were a little slow at the beginning. Don't get me wrong though, the staff is incredibly polite. The rest of the meal was fine, we actually got checked on quite a bit afterwards. It's a popular place, the waiting area is extremely small. It can get cramped with how busy they are. The tables are close together, I found myself waiting until part of my group would get up as to not disturb their meal or I found myself going around open spaces as to not disturb or bump into other diners. You are back to back with other diners when you are sitting. When leaving you could also feel how crowded it was as you try to maneuver to the exit - pushing your way through the crowds of the salad bar & the people in the waiting area. It is nice they have paid parking towards the back of their building, but know the parking spots are also very tight. Experience was good, not great. Awful experience tonight at Texas de Brazil. Our waiter, Michael, forgot about us for like 30 minutes after we were done eating. We told a manager we want our check after like 15 mins of waiting and they did nothing. It took a waitress, who I didn't catch the name of, to come to us to say is everything okay? After seeing frustration on our faces. About 10 minutes later she asked if a manager stopped by to talk to us yet, and they hadn't. After 10-15 more minutes, the sweet waitress that was trying to help us came and started cleaning off our table when Michael showed back up with happy anniversary written on a plate with candles and made a horrible joke about "hopefully you're not wishing for a full refund. That won't come true." and then handed the dirty dishes to the sweet waitress instead of taking care of it himself... with his table. We were there to celebrate our wedding anniversary and the service could not have been worse. Michael needs training or to find a new career. read more

Salad bar was good. Wife and I both said next time we go back there it be for salad bar. Wasn't worth 215 dollars after tip (180 before) for all that waiting for a guy to come by with meats. Texas de Brazil is one of our favorite spots. We've eaten at this location easily 15+ times. It's your typical Brazilian steakhouse, with non-stop fire-grilled meat constantly coming to your table. Here's a quick rundown for this specific location: Pros: The Meats - the selection is always good, always fresh and always well cooked. If you want a specific cut they're quick to get it to your table. The Salad Bar - this specific location has one of the best churrascaria salad bars I've ever seen. Tons of selections and always fresh and full. The Location - It's right in the mix of all the action in Downtown Ft. Worth & Sundance Square. The Waitlist - They work had to get you a table even if you don't have a reservation. We've never been completely turned away. Cons: The service can be hit or miss. Don't get me wrong...they're always friendly and kind. But for a restaurant of this style and in this higher price range the service can sometimes be slow and spotty, especially when busy. Overall, we like this place a lot. Obviously we keep going back. If you like meat & don't mind the hangover of a meat coma, then this is your spot. read more

The sirloin we got was so grissely you couldn't cut it with a knife . Then we got another cut of sirloin that was so tender it would melt in your mouth but the downside to that was not flavor . Actually none of the meat had flavor . They use to acknowledge your birthdays and anniversary but not no more. My only complaints would be the closeness of the tables which made backing out of your chair a bit difficult and the servers to move around. My daughter and I come here every Mother's Day. My daughter is seven years old and she only eats chocolate cake. I eat the salad bar. My bill was $88 and they had charged me for a half-price salad bar for her. When I confronted the server about it, she said it was because she saw her go down to the salad bar with me. I told her that she is seven years old, therefore, I cannot leave her upstairs by herself and that if she was our server, obviously she witnessed that my child does not eat salad, unfortunately. She just was there for the chocolate cake. I look at my bank account and they withdrew the bill of $88 and then they credited the bill back of $88.75. And then withdrew the $88.75 out again. We reserved a table for our 8th anniversary and they did not disappoint! I had been to this location on three different occasions in the past, but never with my fiancé. As always, the food was AMAZING, service was perfect, and the drinks were on point. I will say that trying to jump in the circle line around the salad bar can be a bit tough at times, but it clears off and on to allow a visit. The ambiance is beautiful, dimly lit but bright enough to see everything. We will absolutely be back. I should have taken more pictures. read more

Took a first timer, which unfortunately the service did not match the bragging we did prior to dining in. requested 3 desserts (2 at the table, 1 to go) 1 order was perfectly made. The other two were overcooked. Brought this to the attention of our waitress whom seemed irritated with us voicing our issue with the manner in which our dessert was served. She spoke with someone, he came over. Said "I'll take care of it" and walked away. He returned minutes later with new slices of dessert and walked away. Received our bill and none of the desserts were comped. Which I thought was odd,not the best customer service. Turned my head to see him making faces and waving us/the matter off as he spoke with our waitress. Horrible customer service to allow guests to see and feel their issue wasn't a concern of yours. On the way out requested to speak with a manager and was told that was the gentleman that our waiter already spoke to about our issue. Which was disappointing because he did not engage in conversation regarding our issue. Nor did he comp either dessert after issue was brought to his attention. I have lived in Fort Worth my entire life and still had not been here. I decided to go tonight and treat the family. We had reservations and we were warmly greeted upon arrival and seated within 5 minutes. Our waiter David was absolutely incredible. He made the entire evening an utter delight. We were inundated with meat. The servers came by every 4 or 5 minutes and were kind enough to ask even if our cards were on red. Every bite of food was sensational. I honestly don't know if I've ever seen my kids eat so much. The place is packed but there is plenty of room between tables and the volume is fairly loud so I don't know that I'd call it intimate. But it was overall a delightful experience that I would recommend to anyone. read more

We went on Valentine's Day and I know it's going to be a busy day for any business but this point was the worst I honestly could have went to Texas Roadhouse and had a way better service. My main issue was that we only had three meats come to our table out of all of the meat options they offered. I seen multiple guys with meat just past our table and only one came back twice to ask if we wanted that meat again. The waiter was non existent we seen him when we first got there and probably only seen him twice after the whole hour of us just sitting and waiting for meat to come to our table. We even made a complaint to him that we haven't been offered any meat and he said he would make sure but nothing new ever came. While we still tipped him over 20% of our total his service was horrible so horrible I can't even tell you what his name was. I know Valentine's Day is a busy day but with how much I spent in total I expected wayyyyyy better service and it honestly ruined me and my husband's dinner night. I honestly felt like they ignored our table because of the color of our skin as I seen them stop at every table around ours but never stopped at ours. We literally only eat the salad bar then whole entire night.
