My family wanted BBQ and was in the area. Walked in 45 minutes before they closed, was immediately seated, brought our beverages, and then we perused the menu, what a lot to choose from, my husband and son had the tri tip and ribs! OMG!!! My daughter in law got the turkey croissant, and I got the pulled pork with cole slaw!!! Oh and my grandson just got a plate to share with everyone. We will definitely be making the trip from Adelanto again. This is the place for BBQ. Just what my family was looking for. read more

We rarely eat out in Lancaster for a good reason. That reason is "Wita" also known as "Mom". She's not my mother but I swear by her Mexican food. Before I get carried away and make a list of her culinary miracles, let's move on to my intended review for Texas Cattle Co. Texas Cattle Co. seems like an all American fastfood slash restaurant with this theme that I can only describe as cowboy-ish and Texas ranch-ish. I can see the effort but the end result is kinda cheesy. We ordered Pastrami Sandwich, Chicken Wings, French Dip and a cup of Clam Chowder. Chicken Wings had the right amount of heat but I think the cooked chicken was standing aside for hours before they combined it with the sauce. The sauce was a bit too salty. I liked their French Dip. They roast beef were tender and their bread was fresh. However their "au jus" is too salty even for me. My New England Clam Chowder was thick, creamy and........ salty. It was too salty that I wasn't able to finish my food. That is a first to me. I've always preferred more salt to my food but this is too much even for me. Not that I expected anything but this dining experience was disappointing. read more

Awful Food and Service..Wouldnt eat here if you paid me. Pass on this place and eat quality somewhere else. Its filthy too

If your look for a good stake in town look no further than The Texas Cattle co. Food is always made to perfection and the service is top notch. They also have a really good bar and tv selection for watching the game. Amanda is one of my favorite bartenders there and the rest of the staff will take care of all your needs. read more

I love their food and the atmosphere inside! The waitress's are always really nice and friendly! I love how the place is decorated all country theme like! I give them 5 stars! =) read more

DO NOT COME HERE ON SPECIAL DAYS! This place completely ruined my Mother's Day afternoon. I know most of you will think that hiccups are expected on Mother's Day, which I agree with so we gave this place the benefit of the doubt throughout our visit. 1. We made reservations and when we arrived we were still quoted a wait time. It was at that moment that we should've known the joke was just about to begin., 2. Service was slow, our server seemed to pay attention to other tables., 3. After 2 hours of sitting on our table we finally get our food and it was cold., 4. We asked for refills but they never came so we had to get up ourselves to get some water from the bar., 5. We spoke with the owner and she says , "What do you want me to do?" Really!?! 6. There were 2 other parties dissatisfied with their service along with us so we know it wasn't an isolated event. This place was not as busy as Olive Garden or anywhere else by the mall. Our poor experience at this establishment is due to poor management. If the owner doesn't have a clue what to do and is ok with being the worse part of their customer's special day then they need to do everyone a favor and close on special occasions. Cold food after making my mom sit through bad service for 2 hours is F-d up. No remorse. Will not ever come here. read more

I came in just to get a beer and I was served by Andrew. He gave me my first taste of Corned Beef and it was AMAZING! I wanted onion rings, but I got the corned beef and a green beer ( St. Patrick's Day ). His service was out of the roof good and turns out.. he's the store manager! Explains why he has such good service! He ensured that I was taken care of, all the while, running the rest of the store! His business hours fits my beer drinking needs (lol) so I think I've found my regular beer place since I'm fairly new to the Lancaster area. Thank you Andrew for your kind service! See you again soon! read more

Wow, this place is a GEM. After four solid dinner visits I can give this place a 5-star review without hesitation because of its consistency in service, quality of food, and taste of food. This is a REALLY good steakhouse serving up top-notch beef and this is coming from a guy who eats at Ruth's Chris at least once a week. My coworker and I were kind of shocked at how good the steaks are here that we haven't tried anything else on their menu but steaks since then. The RIBEYE at this place is its superstar; big, juicy, perfect grill marks, smoky charcoal flavor, and served with really good toast and the perfect baked potato (option to have bacon and cheese in it for extra). The service has always been quick and friendly and last night the owner came out to chat with us a bit. Parking's easy to find, portions are huge, and prices are really fair for the amount of food you get. This is one of those places where the mediocre reviews are undeserved. They've got a new regular in me. read more

Was expecting so much more from this spot. The waitress was super cool and the price wasn't bad for the amount of food but I was disappointed with the lack of seasoning on my burger. The fries were good but over all nothing exciting to talk about . Glad I finally went so I wont be bothered to try it anymore. read more

Had dinner again and we loved it. Our waitress was very friendly and was very understanding with my 17 month old kid. I had a patty melt that came with fries and a raspberry tea. The only thing that I did not like is my fries were not fresh. They tasted like they were made and put under a heating lamp. Otherwise everything was great. read more

I'm not a fan. Visited last night for my brothers birthday. We had the longhorn club and the chicken tex mex quesadilla. The club does NOT come with avocado so we added it at an extra $1.50. We had to search for it when it arrived and got a teenie tiny sliver of avocado on each half. Disappointing. The quesadilla was worse. Canned olives and canned ortega chiles with dry chicken on a quesadilla. No bueno. It was just not good. The flavors don't go together. Had to slather sour cream and salsa on it to get it down. Perhaps we should have ordered a steak since people comment that is good, but, based on this experience we are not likely to return unforced. Sad. One the bright side, I gave them an extra star for the salsa. They replaced the popcorn with chips and salsa and the salsa is delicious. read more

Well I thought this place would be renovated and great. The bar is nice with many awesome tv's but with no intention to show sports programming, I'm not sure what the point is. The 12 oz beers were 8.50, had some food and is was horrible and expensive. Charged 50 cents for two slices of frozen tomatoes, really. I think this place could be great but it has to decide on an identity, deal with the prices, and improve the quality of the food. read more

This is my first time dining there and it will be my last. My Corpus Christie Melt was so Dry and my bun was a sesame seed bun and not their advertised Ciabatta bun. I'm not even going to atart on the french fries. But I will say this much. Their staff members are exceptionally nice and pleasant which is why they keep getting the good reviews because it's definitely not the menu. They better keep the current staff on payroll or the place will become a ghost town. read more

Bleah. I've been here a handful of times over the past few years. I guess I keep forgetting how bad it was ;) On my last visit I decided to go with a specialty--the Abilene Burger. Can't screw up a plain 'ole burger right? Wrong--overcooked yet cold? Even the fries were spongy and cold. How do they do it? How to they keep doing it? Wait staff seemed quick and friendly enough so I can't slam them but the food--ug. Go somewhere else to eat. read more

We were a bit skeptical after reading the random negative comments we read...but let me tell you, it was some of the best steak I've had in the area in a long while. The waitresses were polite and funny. This joint is well worth the trip, time and money! Great food, a nice selection of ice-cold beer and big portions! On the table: Drinks- Shirley temple, ice tea and Fat Tire Starters- Armadillo eggs & zucchini sticks Mains- Porterhouse, Ribeye, tri-tip, brisket and pasta Alfredo Desert- bread pudding and a birthday Sunday read more

Definitely my favorite place in the AV! Have been coming here awhile but even through some of the changes made because of covid, the food quality is still second to none! Cant leave this place without having their wings! read more

Went today with my sister, her 2 kids and a friend. Told it was a 20 min wait for a table, which was fine. A man came by and asked if sitting in the bar area was ok. You bet. Except for Melissa, who works hard and was made to apologize repeatedly, the service sucked. Extremely slow. My nephew's food had to be sent back (cheese on a plain cheese quesadilla was not melted). My sister's and friend's food had to be sent back twice!! Very disappointed and so NOT coming back!!!!! read more

Haven't been here in such a long time but I will definitely be back because of the service and the food is still really good. The service was above and beyond and everyone helped out each other and even if it wasn't their table they saw that others needed help. Thank you Texas cattle employees for such great service and really good good. read more

Used to be a frequent customer of Texas Cattle Co. Food was always good. Service was always great. Recently had heard some complaints about the place with regard to service, especially for groups. Went there for a birthday party Thursday night. One would think that when reservations are made for a large group and the banquet or party room is going to be used, more than one server - and at the very least one dedicated solely to the group - would be assigned. Well, not so on this visit. For two of us who were part of the larger group, it was over 20 minutes to get 2 iced teas. Ordering was interesting. Delivering the food was even more interesting, but not enjoyable. Our sever had to "announce" or ask who had what as each item was brought out. Just the same for aligning most, not all (because she did remember a few), the checks. Food was OK, not super. Just that the service was sub-par. Despite the issues with the service being not great, at least the server remained friendly. read more

Friendly helpful staff. Decent food. The popcorn was nice and I love that the drinks are served in mugs with crushed ice. I had the Tex mex quesadilla with the beef barbacoa it was nice in flavor and big in size. I added a side of guacamole but was disappointed to find out it wasn't freshly made. My wife had the tritip sandwich which was delicious but a lil messy. Dessert was great. read more

Service was good. The waitress was really friendly but the food was definitely lacking. Zucchini was inconsistent and most of them were hard. Not to mention everything is way overpriced for the quality of food you're receiving. 2 stars for the service. I honestly dont know if I'll ever come back. read more

They are open now for take out. I did not try delivery but I think that is available. The food was good although the tri tip was over cooked in my opinion. read more

They don't serve popcorn anymore, because some idiot sued them. Story has is that he had their popcorn and cracked his tooth, 6 months later decided to sue the restaurant.... Anyway, other than that bummer, I've been coming here for years and I absolutely love it. Once in a while the food is little off, but the service is wonderful, and since I've got to know few waitresses there, it feels like home. I've used here for my special occasions, they are especially nice about handling large crowd. Still don't know what's up with the outside arrangement that they were working on, but perhaps we get to experience something new soon? Anyway, I'll be back again! and again! read more

we have not been her in some time so we gave it a try. To me it was just okay nothing to run back for. My salad was okay lots of lettuce, cheese and lunch meats...my bride said her burger was great. We stopped in because on line they say they offer gluten free options...but they DO NOT and when we asked they looked at us like we were from Mars. On line it says gluten free options menu...well again NO..I can only guess the lady that seated us had NO IDEA what gluten even was...she offered us a weight watchers type of menu....not even close since it had the same foods at the regular menu just had points next to the food. If you say you offer a gluten menu then either have one or take it off your web page!!! read more

We loved this place/. Got steaks, ribs and brisket and were very satisfied. Attentive and kind service staff. Will come back

Ken got the Brisket. He was not impressed. It was over cooked. He liked the sides and the chili bowl that came in a sour dough bowl. I got the French dip with Swiss cheese added on it. I loved it! I couldn't eat it all what with the huge side cedars salad I got. Service was quick and attentive. Love all the signs to read and now they have tvs to entertain as well. Over all it was a ok meal. He will just try something else next time. Maybe the fish and chips. read more

Skip the Ribs- really isn't in their wheelhouse! Sauce seemed to be lathered on as an afterthought . And the sauce was more like spicy ketchup than rib BBQ sauce. I do like their Melt sandwiches and their chili . read more

the restaurant was empty and there was plenty of employees the only interaction I had with the waitress was when she brought me my food after that never came back, had to go and ask for to go boxes myself because like I said no waitress or anybody came to check on the table. read more

It's a goofy cowboy place, but for a family dinner even with a big group it gets the job done. Definitely a place to take the kids for a decent meal that won't take too long. The staff is fast and competent and the food is solidly Good. Not spectacular, but really... it's pretty good. I usually get one of their large salads and my wife likes their burgers. The kids get a free popsicle or ice cream and everyone's happy. Beer selection is not outstanding if you are into Craft beer, but I've always found one worth drinking. read more

1st visit. Ordered Tri-tip bbq. The sauce was overpowering. Wife ordered top sirloin-had to send back because too much gristle in it. They brought another which is as ok. Garlic mashed potato side-served in a boring little cup and no taste with a sprinkle of cheese on it. Boring like in a mix. Wife had steamed veggies side-once again in a little white cup. No taste. Like out of bag of frozen veggies at Costco. Salad with my meal-wasn't chilled. Overall the food was boring. First and last visit. I am not a picky person, but even I didn't really sit up. Ate half my tri tip and didn't finish anything else. The garlic bread was ok and had a Guinness-that was ok. Their bar next door was closed and my wife noticed there weren't many cars in front. Yikes! For the $$ ($43and change), go to Scrambles, Lancaster or Denny's in Palmdale-not the ones in Lancaster. Oh, try Hibachi Grill in Palmdale. Less cost and better food. read more

Slow service on Weekend nights. Had to wait almost 30 minutes to have our order taken. Otherwise good food, just have to wait.

I've been here twice in the last few months both times were great. The food is always great and the service is fast and friendly. I love the newly redone bar area it is very relaxing and inviting. Now that I have rediscovered this old favorite I will be back often. read more

Loved my food. Portion sizes were great for everyone around me but I was disappointed with my salmon size. The tri tip was phenomenal! Staff was great and even called to let us know that we left an iPad. I tried to get the 5 dollars off for checking in. They said they don't usually do that to which I say...remove it from yelp. They said they would refund me 5, we will see. Overall great experience! Even passed out ice cream to the kiddos. read more

Went with the family about a week ago and WOW, I had the Ribs and Tri-tip.. it was pretty freaking good. What I recommend is the Brisket, my daughter got that and all I can say is YUM. I'm from Texas and this is close enough to how we do BBQ. Our wait staff was on point... Had a great experience, our new steak place. You know how it goes, you go once and it's great go back a second time and get disappointed..hopefully that won't happen. read more

An AV classic. My family used to eat here on a regular basis and we always enjoyed it. Life quit taking us to that part of town, so we hadn't eaten here for a number of years - not to mention a couple of less than stellar experiences with their now defunct mall location. As luck would have it, we've eaten here 3 times in the last couple months and it's been great. Unique sweet and salty popcorn to start, followed by hearty meals at reasonable prices. What's not to like? While I do miss the train running around the restaurant, the service has been great and the food is very good. Personally, I really enjoy the "kitchen sink" burger (can't remember what they call it, but it's got everything on it). And the root beer float is divine! They've evidently nixed the weight watchers part of the menu, but as you can tell from my selections, that wasn't a major attraction to me anyway. :) read more
