This place is a solid 3.5 stars, but I am rounding up because I have never felt so accommodated, and well served as I did here. Alejandra, the busboys, the manager, and everyone else that checked on us all night, I can't thank you enough.
We decided we would come here for Valentine's Day. Yes, it was packed. Yes, there were huge parties, in front of us. And yes, we really thought it was going to be the three of us.(My son had a date that night) It ended up 5 of us to start, and we sat at a table for 6, not shocking. We only waited maybe 3-4 minutes, and when we sat down, the fun began. We asked my sister-in-law and her kids to join us, so when we asked the manager, he gave us a table, no questions asked, right next to ours. This became the kids table, and the adults sat at the big table. Just this alone was almost enough to give them a 5 for service. They made the night fantastic, so I must say, even as busy as they were, they were at our table all night. Service-5
We started out with Chips and Salsa-$2.95, and Potato Skins-$7.95. The chips were kind of small, but the salsa was very good. My love doesn't like it too spicy, and she actually ate it, that's how I know it was really good. The Potato Skins were huge, and packed with cheese and bacon, and it is fresh, chunks of bacon, no bacon bits here. Now for the meals. I got the Porterhouse-$20.95. Great flavor, just WAY TOO MUCH FAT. This thing came out, and took up more than the plate, I was very excited to dig in, and when I got to the meat, it was packed with flavor, juicy, great seasoning, didn't need anything, it was perfect, just again, too much fat. My girl got the BBQ chicken-$12.95. She loves chicken, but she isn't a huge fan of bone-in chicken. It did have a great flavor, but one of her biggest pet peeves, is when you get close to the bone, the chicken is pink, and this one looked a little undercooked. She just didn't eat that part, but loved their sauce and the way they cook it. I think they smoke it, the way it tastes, but whatever they do, it sure is good. My daughter got the bread bowl, clam chowder-$6.95 and a side salad-$2.50. Great flavor here too. Not San Francisco, but she wants to go back and get more someday soon. The salad was a very good size, especially for a 9 year old. Add in a kids burger-$4.75, kids chicken tenders-$4.50, another BBQ chicken, and chicken Alfredo pasta-$9.95, and a bunch of drinks, and this was everything we ordered. Yes, she did love the pasta, and told me that it tastes like the sauce was homemade, not a jar, or prepackaged. Food-3.5
I know it was busy, and I know it was hard to clean up, and they did look a little understaffed for a busy holiday such as Valentine's day, but I did notice that a lot of the tables were unclean. I don't know if it was so they didn't have to sit more people in the area we were in, or they just couldn't get to them, but the party of 8(very sloppy pigs) that sat next to us, kept complaining about not having enough room, and couldn't get plates taken away. It probably didn't help that their kids were dropping food, and ripping their napkins, and doing gross and disgusting things, but nonetheless, they did have a problem. Cleanliness-4(I still gave them a 4 because they made sure our table was taken care of, and the extra table that had dishes on it, was cleared immediately to accommodate us.)
They have a huge selection, and a huge menu. Everything from BBQ, to Tex Mex, to burgers, to salads. I couldn't imagine trying everything, but I liked it enough to want to go back and try a lot of other things. Texas cattle co, you made Valentine's Day special, for me and my entire family. Thank you again to the whole staff that worked that night, you were the best. Overall-4 read more
