Was pleasantly surprised on how good the food and beer was. Ordered 2 flights and was able to sample 8 beers. I will say that I did not have one that I did not think was at least good. Most were above average to great. Chips, salsa, and queso: cheese had a good flavor and texture. salsa was not watery and had a nice flavor. Chips were nice and crisp. Brisket Philly: Very good. Brisket was tender, bun was soft and the cheese was melty. Would recommend. service was fine. space has a good amount of seating, but I would not call it large. I could see it getting filled up on a busy night. If you are staying in Blanco for a few days I would highly recommend visiting Cannon Brewing for dinner one night. Would recommend and return.

Great service and a great selection of food! We tried the spicy cheese curds, Phil apart bread and several big Texas bacon cheeseburgers with tater tots, everything was delicious! We will be back!

I thought the beer here was just okay- I tried several different ones and wasn't all-in on any of them. Their food smelled and looked good but we didn't get any.

    beer flight $8 and tasty

I LOVE IT when you find a small-ish brewery that has a good selection of tasty beer! Plus, the prices are quite good: a flight of 4 for $8, and a half pint for $3? My kind of place. The beers were enjoyable and offered something for everyone. The service was good. I got asked if i wanted more right before my glass went empty, but that was it. no extra banter or conversation. that's why 4 stars instead of 5. Ambiance was nice. a bar plus tables. check this place out!

I went on a busy Saturday, the weekend of the Blanco lavender festival. Typically you grab your own table, but considering how busy it was, we stood in line for a table. We had to wait about 30 minutes for a table, but we expected it. Once seated, everything went smoothly and quickly. We ordered immediately and were served our drinks within a few minutes. I had the seasonal lemon lavender lager. It was crisp, but I didn't really get the lavender notes. I ordered the pretzel to go along with it. The pretzel comes with the best queso. The pretzel filled me up, so I ended up ordering the kids grilled cheese with sweet potato fries. The sweet potato fries were the best. I am so glad that I ordered those instead of the regular fries. Do yourself a favor and order the sweet potato fries as well. Our table ordered the pickle fries.. I had never had them before we all enjoyed them. All the workers were super busy, but they never showed how stressed they were. They were friendly and accommodating. The restaurant has inside and outside seating. Parking is available upfront and on the street, but shared with the other other businesses.

We stopped in today for lunch. The food was really good, it took awhile to get the food, but worth it. They also offer a veteran and first responder discount which is really nice.

We ordered the Ruben & chili and burgers with potato salad both delicious. The pub offers indoors seating (10 tables or so) and outdoor seating a bar and a micro brewery ambiance with stainless steel beer tanks. We enjoyed the food, beer, and welcoming service. We'll definitely return P.S. Your sticker is now on my cooler.

There's inside and outside seating as well as bar. You enter and they hand you the menus. Despite the red neon order here sign right next to the entrance counter, it's not readily apparent that you do indeed order there. And I noticed it wasn't just us waiting for someone to come take our order as we waited. You seat yourself so unless they tell you directly to order at the counter you could miss it. So when the red neon sign finally clicked in my head, I went over to order. But while I was ordering two more parties came up and asked if they needed to order there. So maybe some more clarity up front outside the sign haha I ordered the Cali burger, my son had a burger, and they had a fajita special that his mom ordered. We also ordered a pretzel. Obviously being a pub they had beers. Non/alcoholic was a limited assorted of coke fair. Only unsweetened tea. No lemonade. Pretzel was soft and delicious. My son's mom loved the fajitas and the beans that came with them. The burgers were also really good. Bread nice and soft. Patties a good thickness. We all enjoyed what we had. No fries though. You get chips for your potato fix. The staff was also very friendly. It wasn't too loud in there and we were able to talk easily. If you're hungry don't pass them by.

When we were poking around looking for breweries in the area on Yelp we came across The Shady Llama! This place doesn't make their own beer but they have lots of guest taps for breweries in the surrounding area. It's a good variety of beers to choose from and it looks like there is at least one food truck available sometimes in case you get hungry. The main draw for why we came here was to see the llamas and indeed we dis see some. One of them gave us some attitude and then sauntered off down a hill, taking it's less moody companion with it. They were funny and with the attitude I got and the name of the place I posted the Eminem song "My Name Is" where the lyrics "Slim Shady" get mentioned on Instagram because I thought it was all quite fitting. In addition to seeing the llamas we saw a great view of Hill Country. There was a lot of seating when we were here and could pick pretty much anywhere we wanted to sit. But I'm sure the place can get busy... the location and those llamas are reason enough. Cold beer, moody llamas and beautiful Hill Country... definitely worth the stop!

I am so…read moredisappointed in myself for not coming all the time before this, because Shady Llama is EXCELLENT! First, the staff members are very friendly and know everything there is to know about their available wine and brews. I love that almost all (if not all) are local sips - it's really great to see all of these different places in Wimberley/Dripping Springs/Spicewood support each other. Just another reason why I love Hill Country! When I saw Lazarus Rice Lager and St. Elmo, my gluten free heart skipped a beat, because both of those brews have been treated with the enzyme that makes the brews (normally) OK for those who are gluten sensitive but not for those with celiacs. I don't miss beer, but those two brews are too delicious to pass up when I see them on tap! We also tried the Spicewood wine flight, which was one of the best wine flights I've ever had, and I cannot wait to go buy bottles of each to bring home. All 3 were delicious, crisp, robust, and beautifully paired with each other in the flight. The views were beautiful. Beautiful is honestly an understatement. I love that so much of this area is still undeveloped. I'm sure it was less developed even 5 years ago, but the views from Shady Llama while sitting in a wooden porch Adirondack chair sipping some wine is perfection. I can only imagine how beautiful it is at sunset. I do wish they had a couple more tables by those chairs so I can rest my drink, but it's uneven and probably hard to do so, so I happily will sit with my brew in hand and relax. There's also plenty of seating but not overly crowded with chairs and benches which is love, and I loved the hammocks too! This place is GREAT for families. Playgrounds, slides, almost all kids areas gated so you don't have to worry about them running into the woods with critters. Fun for all ages, and they're just far enough from the seating to minimize the noise that this kiddos love to make! I loved the llamas. Some of them were so spicy and truly just wanted the food, and I feel that. No pets, just food, and I applaud it. Some of them would let you pet them, and the personalities on some of them were REAL, but give them some food and they may let you take a picture. So much fun having them there! Add on some delicious brisket in the back (I am so sad I missed the burnt ends), and all in all, the Shady Llama is GREAT! You are also able to bring outside food, but no outside beverages! Great place and cannot wait to come back!
