Been debating addressing this but at this point it needs to be addressed 1. Employees are unsanitary and do not follow rules. (Many workers never wash there hands, do not use gloves when preparing salads and small foods, and many do not hold there food handlers licenses 2. Male employees are treated better than female employees due to the owner who also gets off at yelling at and verbally abusing underage kids. 3. Safety hazards are all around. No one is safety trained and the owner does not make sure the restaurant is safe and clean. 4. Roaches and small bugs infest the place. Other disgusting things have been found in places, and one lady even found a METAL SCREW in her pizza. 5. Whole place ran by minors for a reason. Terrible work environment read more

We just moved to town and have picked up the pepperoni pizza to go twice. We went in the other night and 3 of us shared pizza and one of us had the chicken parm. All was good BUT out appetizer, the meatballs were great! I really like the marinara sauce. The service was good but there was only one sweet girl taking orders. We got there after a rush and before a rush. They couldn't seat anyone in the back since there was just one server so I'm not sure what that was like. But we will definitely be back. read more

We stopped by here on the way to wine country, family has been here before and liked it. Thursday afternoon and it was not busy but there were other guests. Our waitress was friendly and efficient. We had a couple beers, glass of wine, side salads, and split the combination pizza. The place smelled great when we walked in and the pizza was delish! I liked the freshness of the veggies for the salad. Pizza crust was nice and crispy, pizza toppings were yummy. Out back there's a garden area with one of the largest oak trees in the area. Stopped to eat going through town and to our surprise, we found this restaurant. Looked small from outside but it's big and they have outdoor seating. The staff was welcoming and the food was phenomenal! 10/10 We will definitely be making the trip from San Antonio more often for this pizza & garlic knots. I don't Think San Antonio has better. April 2026 This was our 1st time to order from Blanco River Pizza. We ordered an "Everything" large pizza to go. After arriving home, how disappointing to open up our pizza box & see very little/SPARSE toppings with no beef (ground meat) as the menu stated. They even charged me extra for Italian sausage. When I called them that evening, Cassidy the manager said it does not come with ground meat. I asked why then does it say beef on the menu? And she said she didn't know. She told me to call back in the morning to speak with the owner. I called the next morning and the owner was there. The phone was placed on the counter where I could hear his conversation with a customer. After waiting a few minutes, I was hung up on. After calling right back, the phone rang 1 time and then my call was disconnected. I cannot get through on my phone as apparently they have blocked my number. I used my sister-in-law's phone today and got through. I was told I would not be able to speak to the owner, and she said this phone number is only for taking food orders. I asked for an email and was told there is none. I said I guess I'll have to write an unflattering review. She said go ahead. I will NOT recommend this restaurant to anyone. My husband has been in the restaurant business for years, and this is definitely not the way you grow your business. We have never seen anything like this before. read more

Me and my family paid around 50 for 3 chicken Alfredo dinner plates and it was terrible!!!!! Absolutely no flavor what so ever!!!!! I wanted to love this place so much... We get inside. Stood there for what seemed like forever. No one greeted us. No one said we will be with you in a moment. No one said hi folks! It was obvious they were understaffed, making things instantly forgivable. They were out of coke, Dr Pepper, root beer, and other things. Our granddaughters gobbled up the cheese sticks and the meatballs were very good. The sauce was perfect! We then ordered a large Carnivore pizza and a small pepperoni. The pizza was good. I have stopped in here twice and both times the food and service were outstanding. Me and the wife ordered bread knots as an appetizer. They were fresh, crispy on the outside and buttery soft on the inside. As our main meal we got a large pepperoni with mushrooms and sausage, New York style pizza. The toppings were delicious and the crust was as if it was baked by angels. The service was friendly and they made us feel like family. When you're done you can walk around the Blanco Court House, it was used in the remake of True Grit. So don't be a knucklehead and let this gem pass you by. read more

My friend and I stopped to have lunch after church, about eleven thirty a.m.. We were greeted by a very pleasant young lady with a great smile and a positive attitude (not pretentious). We both ordered the Chicken Alfredo. It took a little while but was well worth the wait. The first time we ate there I ordered the same thing and forced myself to eat everything. It was more than enough. Today I couldn't eat it all so I brought some home. This was really good eating, and the light fluffy bread they served with it was amazing. Walking in it was a little dark or it was just that bright outside ha. But we were greeted and seated right away. There was about 4 other parties scattered in the restaurant. We ordered the Italian Salad to split, it's a massive portion for just 1 person I think, the only thing I would ask is that they have more than 3 little leaves of artichoke in it. I really wanted to like this pizza place. The pizza was great, the interior was clean/nicely decorated, and the bar had a nice selection of bottled wine displayed on the top of the bar. Where everything went south was with the management and service. After we sat down, a very young man who wasn't old enough to serve alcohol came to take our order. We tried to order an Michelob Ultra, but were told they were currently out. So we tried to order a Coors light, but once again they were out. Turns out they were out of "all" light beers. We ended up settling for an Italian lager. My wife wanted to order a glass or bottle of Chardonnay, but the young man said they were out of white wines. Keep in mind this was a Saturday night on Labor Day weekend, so kinda strange for them to be out of so many items for a pizza/bar. I personally ordered a Yuengling draft, which was delivered cold and tasted fresh. However I couldn't seem to get a second one after asking several times and even took my glass up to the bar myself. The young man wasn't old enough to fill it, so he went to get the manager to do it and she never did. While I was standing at the bar, a lady came in to get a bunch of pizzas that she ordered online/on the phone. She sat there for about 20 minutes before being told they couldn't find her order. The waiter came to the table and offered to refill one of the iced teas. He took the glass and came back with a half full glass of iced tea with not a single ice cube in it. When we got up to leave, we told them we bet they were happy it was almost closing time. The Manager said they were closed already because they were all out of cheese. How does a pizza restaurant run out of cheese on a Saturday night? If you want good pizza, they have that. All the other failures I mentioned/experienced really come down to the person "managing" the business. read more

We came here over 15 years ago and had a great meal, and here we are again having another great meal! :) We had the Vegetarian pizza and added Italian sausage. It arrived bubbling hot from the oven, and the crust had a great bite and crispy crackle. All the ingredients (bell pepper, raw tomato slices, red onions mushrooms, black olives and spinach were fresh and cooked through. A very good pizza! The other person on our party had the chicken park, which was a generously sized breast of chicken fried well in seasoned breadcrumbs, topped with melted cheese and served over a large helping of spaghetti and red sauce.
