We just found this place a couple months ago. Love the daily specials. This morning it was German Apple pancake. Oh my gosh was it delicious! My husband had the steak and eggs special. He loved it! Mediocre food for gourmet prices. English muffin was soggy to the point of it appearing as part of the egg of the eggs Benedict. Ham was thick and lacked flavor. Breakfast quesadilla was so burnt and mundane, I had to scrape the eggs off the charred tortilla to settle for breakfast tacos with my tortillas from home. McDonald's quality for 5 star restaurant prices. Very disappointed. Next time we will be driving 30 minutes for breakfast not in Haslet I guess. read more

This place hit the spot! Me and the wife are big breakfast date people and Texan Diner did not disappoint! We got eggs and hamburger steak and The Ranch Hand. The Ranch Hand came with 3 eggs, hash browns, biscuits and gravy, thick cut bacon and sausage . Eggs and hamburger steak included 2 eggs , homemade toast with homemade jelly and hash browns! Our server Diana gave us great service! When leaving my wife got a slice of pecan pie and she said it was amazing! We will definitely be returning!!! read more

If you are ever little ol Haslet TX you have to stop and try out Texan Diner. Food is out of this world and reasonably priced. Staff is always friendly and willing to make suggestions on the menu. They serve breakfast all day long. We have been here a handful of times and it is always delicious. I have the breakfast chicken fried steak and it was tender and cooked perfectly. My wife got the daily special which was Cajun Fried Chicken. It was got juicy it was falling off the bone. Keep up the good work guys and gals. read more

We stopped by around 5pm on a Friday and there were only a few tables occupied. I got the chicken fried steak with mashed taters and green beans, and it was excellent! Crispy breading, tender steak, and everything was well seasoned. My son got the waffle with bacon and scrambled eggs, and he ate every bite. We were both filled, and got out of there for less than $20, including drinks. I will dine here again, and recommend it to anyone looking for an all day breakfast joint or some good home cooking. read more

Always delicious. I was there last week and ordered the special. He called it Tex-Mex Chicken Fried Chicken. It was absolutely delicious!

Not sure why we tried this place again, but we did and again very dissatisfied. Hubby had breakfast, scrambled eggs looked old, and no flavor, pancakes basically disintegrated and no taste, he ordered toast it came out dry,and the butter was to hard to spread on the now cold toast. I ordered the CFS, it was good, gravy was way to thick no flavor, green beans were super salty, some were way over cooked and others were crispy, which leads me to believe they mixed old and fresh, potatoes again no taste. It was 36.00 dollars and it was terrible. Also they had music playing from the kitchen that was way too loud. We definitely won't recommend or be back. read more

First and last time. The only thing colder than our food was our server, Jadien we think was her name from the receipt. Never did introduce herself. I guess we made her mad by only ordering one biscuit and gravy instead of two??? Never have we had a server who's response to "thank you" from a customer was "hmmm hmmm". Not, you're welcome, not no problem, just "hmmm hmm" and not even a" happy " hmm hmm. Had to ask the food runner for more coffee and water and she was not happy about that! (Not the food runner being unhappy, he was pleasant). The food had ok taste, just could've been actually warm. My wife had the kids burger, daughter had the Monte Christo which she said was basically French toast but she liked it.
