Me and my friends were in Dallas for a trip and decided to stop by Hash House for brunch and it did not disappoint! It was super windy that day, so everyone was inside, but honestly the wait wasn't bad at all. We walked in without a reservation and only waited about 5-10 minutes. The food was amazing across the board. We ordered a mimosa flight, and everybody loved it! Some of my friends got the chicken and waffles and were obsessed. I had the French toast with the cone in the middle (can't remember the exact name), but it was sooo good. Service was a little slow, but I'll give them grace because the place was completely packed due to the weather and everyone being moved indoors. Overall, it was a 10/10 experience, and I'll definitely be circling back next time I'm in Dallas! read more

For my august 3rd visit: our waitress only works a few days per week so she wasn't knowledgeable about the menu or offerings. She was very nice though. Our food and drinks were good but the only thing worth raving about this visit was the Bloody Mary. This was a top notch drink! Previous visit: Jalen a great waiter. Hash Kitchen needed to organize the wait times better for this visit. Many empty tables inside and out but couldn't be seated. The hostess manager was quite stressed. Has a DJ and we were right next to the Dj booth. I enjoyed the music but if you're going for a conversation then you might want to go outside. Patio outside is not covered though. All the drinks on the menu are cute, but sweet. If you like sweet you will like them! Got the birria hash. The dipping sauce was good, the beef birria was good, it did have a hint of cinnamon, but good. Their ranch dressing I did not care for. Coffee was good. Overall if you like loud music and sweet drinks this is your place. Be prepared to spend good money if you're eating and drinking. Great place to celebrate if you're trying to party. As others have said, this is a trendy, upscale breakfast type place. I've never seen a breakfast place with a DJ stand and Bloody Mary bar, and lots of spirits. It's got a cool interior, a nice looking outside patio. So why not five stars? It's just me, I'm a pretty basic, Waffle House breakfast kind of guy. This is definitely not Waffle House or Dennys. We split the chicken and waffles, along with the "Billionaire Bacon" to share. The bacon arrived as a single slice covered in gold flakes and drenched in a syrupy sauce so sweet it completely masked the taste of the bacon itself. While the restaurant certainly knows how to make dishes look stunning for social media, the overall experience didn't justify the prices. Service was inattentive; we weren't offered refills and were largely ignored once our food arrived. I really wanted to like this place. I hear that the Bloody Mary bar is amazing. I did see it on the way in, I wondered how it worked. You could literally make a meal on top of your bloody mary. Since i had to work later that day, I decided to not get one this time. Service was pretty slow, the restaurant was about half full when I came in, and I think my server only had 3 tables at the time. The biscuits with the 3 flavors of butter were good, and the tiny mason jars they came in were adorable. I ordered the eggs benedict to split with my mom. The waiter asked us if we wanted it as a scramble or an omelette. He had misunderstood what we ordered but since he asked us that question, we were able to fix it before he ordered it. the coffee was good, I asked for a lot of cream, so my server knew I needed a spoon, yet never offered or asked. He did see me stir my coffee with my fork and nothing was asked. The benedict was woefully under seasoned. I did dump a bunch of pepper on it, that helped, but meh. I noticed that the dishes on the menu were either super hot or "basic AF" That's the literal name of one of the dishes. nothing in-between. the best part though was paying for this meal. The minuscule bar code taped to the furthest corner of the table was not immediately noticible. The server pointed it out for when we were ready to pay. The internet in this part of the street is horrendous and really slow. If you're going to depend on the internet for payment, you really need a better connection. read more

Honestly, the food here just didn't deliver. The Power Bowl tasted like it gave up halfway through -- super bland, barely warm, and missing any real flavor. The Birria Hash had tender meat (points for that), but the potatoes were sad and the "cheese pull" was more of a "cheese nope." And the Chilaquiles? Absolutely drenched in sauce. I shouldn't have to play Donkey Kong just to reach a chip. The wait for food was 22-24 minutes, which felt extra long when tables that came after us got theirs first. Great breakfast-brunch find. The food was well presented and tasty. The chilaquiles with red sauce came out hot and the chips crunchy but could've used a little bit more flavor. Great concept and fun music at Hash Kitchen. The DJ was enjoyable. The execution and experience were a bit off for me. Long wait to be seated and we had to stand the whole time. Our server did the bare minimum. We had to flag him down to request refills of water. He was not particularly friendly or helpful and everything had to be requested. Finally, my food was very bland and unseasoned. I ordered the scramble and the eggs and veggies had no flavor. It is a fun concept overall but the minimal service and plain food would make me hesitant to recommend to others for dining. The decor is SO CUTE! There is plenty of space for small parties or big and even outdoor seating if your feeling the weather. I love the spark of shine and overall decor. While the space as a whole is quite large and accommodating I found it interesting that we were seated in a corner close to a large party when there were plenty of open tables they could have put us at. Due to the proximity and the other table being quite loud - myself and my friend found it hard to hear each other. It also felt like the other table was much higher priority and it took quite a while for us to get water and our order taken. For starter we enjoyed the Benedict fries. Great overall flavor and very crispy. You have to eat them hot but after a while you'll see a lot of oil pooling at the bottom of the dish. For entrees we had the brunchilada stack hash and the carnitas hash. The brunchilada was very intriguing, stack of tortillas with mashed potatoes between the layers topped with half red salsa and half green salsa. Texture wise it could have had some crunch, flavor wise very tasty. The carnitas hash was overall good but I personally wasn't a fan of the carnitas themselves (too soft in texture and an odd flavor for me). Another note to add, the water cups smelled like wet dog... Overall we'd come again for the fries and to try the other food items. read more

It's a tad loud on the inside so you may have to yell a little but they have a patio area to sit out as well. Sandy and Leo were amazing!! The drinks were great and the food was delicious. Sandy checked on us but to too much or too little. She was a sweetheart and contributed to making this a great first time here. Mimosa flight: 8.5/10 these were good and my favorite was the white cranberry! I would've replaced the OJ one with another one of the white cranberry. I didn't get the glitter/cotton candy added - maybe next time but this was good choice . Best f*#$ing Birria hash: 9/10 this was so flavorful and my eggs were cooked perfectly. The meat was nice and flavorful, the consume complimented the quesadillas just right. I would definitely get this again. Buttermilk pancakes: 8/10 these things were HUGE! Sorry but this place did not meet my expectations for breakfast . The server was very nice but she had a hard time keeping up, and the service is extremely slow. We waited about 30 min for some cold food and some greasy bacon. The food here is bland; the best thing we had was the create your own Scrambler- eggs, cheese, onions, and ham which was served with 2 hash brown patties. And also the pineapple pancakes were pretty good too. They were the only item that we ordered that was served hot! I love the decor (especially the disco balls) and the vibe here. When the manager cleaned them, he used spray and a wet cloth and walked away...seats were left wet and I had to use a napkin to actually clean and dry. - Server was also working the bar and seemed annoyed to serve us...tried to hurry us into ordering all food when she was taking drink offers...had never been there before nor seeing the menu. - Ordered biscuits that are supposedly made from scratch hourly...came cold on a single plate. Three to an order (nice) but the server didn't bring side plates so not sure how they were expecting them to be shared across the group. - Cappuccinos were anything but. Uninspired $5 that was cold and had no flavor. Really should have been called a bad latte...calling them Cappuccinos would actually be an insult to Cappuccinos everywhere. - Menu VERY unfriendly to vegetarian and people who don't eat pork. Again, trying to navigate the menu for no pork options seemed to annoy the server. - ALL FOOD came out barely warm...and again with no plates so we got to sit there while people ran to go do what should have been intuitive. - When plates did come, they didn't bring enough...apparently one plate per person is a calculation that seems to elude them. - "Fresh Berries" @$5 showed up with a few blue berries and strawberries...but the small bowl was mostly watermelon and cantaloupe...which is a mysteriously sourced as it is the last day of November. - Sides not brought with mains...which means we got to wait even longer for cold food to get colder - front desk person seemed bored, bending over the host stand staring at her phone...great first and lasting impression - Music awful and way too loud...clearly trying to emulate some late night bar or club at 10 AM all in the name of brunch?
