I now understand all of the one star reviews on this Tesla service center. Oh, where to begin... My 2020 model Y just ended warranty (of course) And our back seat seatbelt latch, conveniently went out. You would think since it's a safety feature, it would still be covered. But oh no. It was not. There was also this very slight clicking noise happening in my steering column. My car was at the Tesla Huntington Beach location, where they checked the brakes, shocks and struts and all the suspension and it checked out fine with no needed repairs. They told me that I needed to take it to the creak specialist down in Long Beach. So I did as told. While getting my seatbelt repaired, I had them check out that weird creak and they called me to tell me that I needed a $3000 front suspension repair. My jaw dropped. I proceeded to tell them that I was just at Tesla Huntington Beach a few weeks ago and they checked out all of my front and suspension and they said there was no repairs needed. So Tesla Long Beach sent me photos. I declined the front suspension repairs as I needed to get a second opinion on this. Seemed super sketchy to me. I go to pick up my car AND THEY REPLACED THE WRONG BELT! So I proceeded back to the front desk and told them and they went to check with the technician on what communication went wrong. I guess the technician told them that my middle seatbelt was ALSO broken and that I would need to pay to get the correct seatbelt fixed again, so paying twice. I said absolutely not. And demanded to see the "broken" middle seatbelt. So they bring out the middle seatbelt and guess what, it worked just fine! SOO shady! I take my Tesla to another mechanic for the second opinion on the front suspension and guess what.... everything on my front end looked fantastic. There was no needed repairs whatsoever, just Like the Tesla Huntington Beach location said. I proceeded to show the other mechanic the photos of the suspension that Tesla had sent me of my car and he didn't even think it was the same car. This location is such a SCAM! So I am writing to warn you. Beware Will never return to this location. read more

Warning: Be extremely cautious with this service department. I went in for a simple tire rotation, and after the service my car began making a loud noise that was not present before. When I returned, I was told that a suspension bushing needed to be replaced at a cost of $2,600, which felt very questionable given the timing. I also paid $300 to have a broken visor replaced. When the car was returned to me, the mirror/visor mount was loose and visibly breaking. When I pointed this out, the staff claimed they did not cause the damage and said they never touched that area--despite having just replaced the visor. Overall, this experience felt dishonest and careless. I would not trust this service department and do not recommend them. read more

The manager, Timetris, stated that demo drives are only offered to individuals who are "in the market" to purchase. First time Tesla buyer, I got a tesla Model Y 2022 and it's a nice car. On delivery day, the car was scratched and had a tire TPMS warning but I only saw it after getting home. Made a U-turn but dealer was closed. I tried to reach my Adviser, Adrian Espinoza, couldn't reach him on the same day but was able to get to him after 4-5 days of trying. It took 2 hours to get my lease returned but that was no fault of the hard working people at Tesla Long Beach. My advisor CJ went WAY above and beyond to get my lease returned. He had to get on the phone with a remote colleague to get access to some forms to manually print the lease return forms. The overall experience was rough, but CJ made sure that it got done. I'm extremely disappointed with the way this Tesla service center handles warranty issues. I brought in my Model Y for what is clearly a factory-related defect, yet they flat-out refused to cover it under warranty. Instead, they tried to turn it into a paid repair, doing everything possible to make money off something Tesla should be responsible for. They even tried to convince me that the problem was my fault -- but a brief bit of research shows this is a known issue that originates from Tesla's own manufacturing. That kind of behavior feels deceptive and unethical. This experience has made me seriously reconsider Tesla as my car of choice for the future. The company's service model seems more focused on avoiding warranty responsibility than standing behind its products. If this is how Tesla treats loyal owners, I can't recommend buying one to anyone. read more

If I could give Tesla and perhaps this Tesla Long Beach location a 0 star rating I would. My partner and I had long wanted an EV - Tesla in particular. Kids in college kept us away due to budget constraints. Finally, between lower expenses and bonuses we were in the ballpark. My problem is that the Tesla website said a LR Model 3 was available on a lease at a payment that could work. To get the process started you have to pay a non refundable $250 application fee. Ok we were serious. The problem is that with Tesla Long Beach I was essentially given what seemed like a "bait and switch". - "the car we wanted was not available in grey, but we can switch you to LR in red for $2,000 more. Ok we can live we can live with that. - after a while in the process I message that what are the numbers because the lease calculator is coming up with something the is unworkable - too $$$. - no response just prompts to complete the process. - finally, we finished the application and the car is to expensive versus what website advertised. Tesla response was that the car they advertised and we want was "unavailable". Once we flipped to the "identical red car" it was a different model. Seems classic bait and switch scheme. I canceled the sale but they kept $250 application fee and sent me and charge me $250 for the charger I don't need - and was part of the order" Punk move after punk move from these guys. Call me sore but I'm a shareholder and believer. This sales group needs to grow up and learn how to sell instead of just run credit cards. read more

My son and I came to Tesla to check out the cars. We really liked how the cars looked very modern and sleek. The inside of the car was very comfortable and roomy. My son wanted to test drive a car, so we walked inside the lobby and started looking around the vehicles that were on display in the showroom and we started checking out the different model types. We saw a sales associate helping a couple with some type of transactions and we just kept looking around when finally the sales associate stepped away from the couple for a minute and told us that she would be able to help us after she was done helping the couple. So we waited for 20 minutes and we didn't get helped and we noticed that the sales associate that said she was going to help us was now helping another couple that just came back from a test drive. We patiently waited some more but when we saw that the sales associate was still too busy to help us we decided that we were just going to leave, it was getting late and close to closing time that we thought we weren't going to be getting any help anymore. We started to walk out the double sliding doors when the sales associate ran after us, she did apologize for taking long but we thought that since it was already late that we weren't going to be able to do a test drive but the sales associate did let my son do the test drive. He filled out a form on the tablet and we were given the choice to test drive whichever car my son wanted. The sales associate asked my son if he wanted her to run the numbers after he came back or if he only wanted to do the test drive and my son responded that he did wanted to get the numbers run to see about purchasing a Tesla. After we came back from the test drive , my son wanted more information about the car because the sales associate did offer to run the numbers but after we came back she was busy helping another couple so then another employee saw us waiting, he approached us and gave us the information that we needed. My experience coming to this Tesla dealership is that I feel like that's cool that they don't try to pressure you to buy a car or that they're not on you like other dealerships, which I really do appreciate that. However, if the sales associate says that they will help you after they're done helping other guests guests not to keep you waiting because you told another couple that you will help them right after they come back from a test drive and run their numbers. I think that if he or she is still going to be too busy helping others that the courteous thing to do is to let your guests know that you will get someone else to help out instead of making us wait yet again. I don't know if it was because it was almost at the end of the day that maybe there weren't that many employees and that's the reason why we didn't get the help that we needed right away, but other than that when the employees did talk to us, they did talk to us in a very friendly and very knowledgeable manner. I give this dealership three stars because of all the unnecessary waiting we ended up doing. read more

Picked up my Foundation series Cybertruck here and the truck was still very dirty, dust all over and you can tell they did a sloops of a job trying to clean my truck. The service team was great and did what they had to do quickly, and the gentleman that helped us was competent and informed. The sales team, on the other hand, feel absent minded and uninterested in helping people. They're nice on the surface, but don't follow through on anything and the customer is left calling back-and-forth, trying to get through to the advisor that doesn't respond. And when you call the Long Beach location they don't answer so it gets rerouted somewhere else and somehow they don't have access to anything so it's just calling the abyss essentially. I said "yoooooo"! Tesla has been so kind to me--from the initial purchase to the in-house insurance to the service department--and this on-site location is fabulous. I came in to get my car serviced for tire rotation and to replace my axel arms. To do both took less than 2 hours, which is hella quick! The service team member, John, kept me up to date and super helpful throughout the entire process. While I was waiting for my car to get fixed I was able to borrow a 2023 Performance Model X!?!? My tire pressure monitoring system indicator was on and I took my car to the new Tesla dealer on Spring Street in Long Beach. I was able to get an appointment within a few days, whereas the Buena Park Tesla dealership couldn't see me for over a week. I went there on a Sunday morning at 8:30. I was out of there before 10. My service person, Stephanie, did a great job of keeping me updated and was very personable and professional. Stephanie is a definite asset to the Tesla company. read more

Generally, Tesla buying experience was seamless. No haggling, less time wasted. BUT! The craftsmanship of this car is inconsistent, and the quality control is non-existent! I have had Japanese and German cars, and never have I encountered a really poorly made vehicle (at least the assembly). I never owned an American made car because of poor quality build- not all but most. My Y was built in Fremont, CA. In terms of technology and performance, Tesla delivers. Buyer Beware! Before you sign the paperwork, at least go check your vehicle first. This is the catch-22 that Tesla is doing to their customers. If you find discrepancy on quality build, you cannot tell them to correct it because technically you don't own the vehicle yet. After you sign the paperwork, rep will then tell you to open a service ticket! and now... you are at their scheduling mercy and falling into the abyss of service department nightmare. My issue is not primarily with Tesla- Long Beach but Tesla's delivery policy. I had a paint chip on the front passenger fender, misaligned front passenger door, and misaligned tail-lights. I had no choice but to accept delivery and open a service ticket for all these issues to be addressed on a later date. Very Frustrating. Lastly, delivery person who does vehicle orientation was not very informative. Customers should be briefed with basic vehicle function. Heck! dunno how to open the front trunk nor do I know how to start the vehicle (yup, jokes on me I guess). In fairness, this is my first EV. read more

So my tire was damaged on a trip and is losing air, I have purchased over 2000 dollars worth of tires here. I was advised by Tesla service department that the tire was protected so l brought it in. When I got the Tesla signal hill the guy didn't even take 5 seconds before he started with "the DX number was scratched off, now I had damage to my tire and the rim, but I felt he was accusing me of scratching it off, he then claimed they were balding, but my tires passed uber inspection. So how is it Possible that it passed an inspection for a rideshare platform just a few days ago but now it's too bald to replace. He greeted us as we walked in, got us checked in for my demo drive and we were on our way. Upon our return he answered all of our questions and got us all the information we needed. Steer clear of this service department just a bunch of crooks!!!!!!!!!! I called the Torrance Service Center the next day and was told all they had to do was probe the car for an update. I didn't even have to go into the service center at all. The car was sent a software update while I was at work and once it was installed the lights were working. Further solidifies the lack of product knowledge or sheer disregard for customers who entrust their needs to this particular location. I was quoted almost $500 (service rep made sure to mention the 'labor cost') to fix this issue and was told it would take almost two hours. I ended up paying $0 and was able to resolve this issue from work. The recent heavy rain and street flooding ended up messing my wheel well and aeroshield, making is unsafe to drive... Expected to have to drop the car off and wait days to weeks for delivery of parts and repair. Well, Mr Jalen stepped in and provided top VIP service! He took care of things for me, got my car in right away, and Greg had the job done within the hour! Maybe it was the timing, and luck or having the parts in stock... I don't know how the selling department is with this place, but I don't recommend this service center. I have been coming to this center a few times so far and won't be back again. I brought my Tesla to this place since there' something weird about the brakes. At first they told me that it was very common with any Tesla but they would check it for me. I had to leave the car there and pick up the next day. After a few hours later they texted me telling that the car was ready for pick up. They kept texting constantly but I couldn't come because of the rush hours of the day. The next day they texted me a few times telling me to pay so that I could pick up the car. When I came to get the car, the employee had beaten around the bush, trying to explain to me that the car needed service. They already charged to my account almost $100, even it's still under warranty. I have the feeling that this place tried to make money from customers regardless what's the problem with the car was. After 2 months of ownership I found information of a major repair done to my car that was never disclosed to me upon delivery. With 16 miles on my car before taking delivery the high voltage battery was replaced which is the main battery pack on the car. If I would have known this I would have kindly waited for another VIN car. How is it okay to have a 10K-20K repair done at the dealership without sharing that the car comes with a service record? I understand small repairs or imperfections as this is our 3rd Tesla but this is a major component. Usually or at least in the past tesla would install a reconditioned battery but my service record does not say. I was promised a call back yesterday by a manager 1/16/24 but they never called!
