What an absolutely wonderful experience at Timmons Subaru--from our very first contact through working with Russell, RC Hope i Got his name right, and Miles! I truly cannot say enough good things about the entire team. Russell came driving up in the exact car we wanted, and it was amazing! He took his time with us and explained everything clearly, accurately, and in detail. There were no hidden surprises, no pressure, and no pushy sales tactics--just honest, patient, exceptional service. He went above and beyond our expectations and even beat the price we were hoping for! The entire process was smooth, comfortable, and genuinely enjoyable. And the Oakley glasses were so cool--such a fun touch! If anyone is looking for a new car, I would absolutely recommend Timmons Subaru. We are thrilled to be part of the Subaru family and will definitely continue owning Subarus in the future. Timmons Subaru has earned loyal new customers in us. Thank you, Russell, RC, and Miles, for making this such a special experience! read more

Thank you so much to Miguel Lopez for being so helpful, kind, and professional throughout the service. He really tried his best to get everything done that I requested as a customer. I'm very happy with my first experience buying a new Subaru. I hope my new car will live up to the quality and reliability I've heard about from my friends. Subaru has such a great reputation, and that's why I decided to switch from Acura to Subaru. Thank you again, Miguel, for making my first Subaru-buying experience such a great one! read more

This rating is a special shout out to Russell Csonka from internet sales. I reached out to the dealership about a car they didn't have on the lot, but Russell give me very specific details about the ordering process in case I wanted to order one to my spec. Furthermore, he invited me and my wife to come down and test drive a similar model before placing the order to confirm the trim and options we want. The entire time, there was ZERO, absolutely ZERO, pressure from him just to make a sale. He spend time answering all my questions, gave very detailed explanations, and even contacted corporate for me and looked into an issue related to my purchase. Contacted him on a Thursday about a car, went to test drive Friday, placed an order that day, and came home with the car exactly a week later. Of all the car buying experience and programs I have participated in, Russell is BY FAR, the most polite, honest, and sincere sales person my wife and I have ever interacted with. Seriously, ask for this man if you are thinking about buying. You are not going to regret it. It is an honorable mention that his son, Rusty, also works at the dealership and he helped me order the Crosstrek I bought my parents back in 2022. Another top notch sales person. This dealership is very fortunate to have this father/son team. read more

Despite my initial frustrations on option for uber, this facility is always very fast with their services and turnaround usually it doesn't feel like my car is taken for that long. They missed a TPS light during my last service, I communicated my concern, they told me that they didn't see any light only to find out that their tech forgot to add it to the service summary. The csr made it right and offered to correct it the next time; this is how you know they keep their teams accountable to great quality work. read more

Big shout out to the Service Department, most notably, Danny, who was my service advisor during my visit there. From when I pulled up until I left they were very nice, friendly and professional. Danny walked me through all the things they were going to do to my car, all their concerns once they did their inspection, and what all needed to be addressed and taken care of. He never tried to push me to get anything fix right away or add anything extra on. My service did end up taking a little longer than usual but they offered me a complimentary loaner car until my car was ready. They do have a waiting area though with snacks, a coffee maker, and a refillable water station, not to mention fast wifi :) I would definitely recommend coming here for any of your car service needs! Thanks again Danny! You are the absolute best! read more

A new car I bought years ago never had the glove box lick work properly. They supposedly fixed it twice, but it still didn't work. They supposedly last time I tried I scheduled an appointment ahead if time. Bthey let me wait in the waiting area for an hour & a half before telling me they ordered the wrong part. My glove box still doesn't lick. I also had a problem with my windows sticking where I could get to close. I felt unsafe parking the car with the windows down. In the rain the front seats got stained with water coming in. They told me repeatedly that the windows weren't acting right because dirt was caught in it. They never fixed it & it still acts up sometime. They said they would notate it on the paperwork each time I voiced concern.. i didnt double check & apparently it was only in the paperwork once. I see they have a new looking service department. It looks more professional- perhaps I'll see if they'll still honor the old issues thst were never dealt with. I bought my car there & let the salesman talk me into paying extra for things I never got the chance to use. read more

I have nothing but praise to sing for Timmons Subaru. Most notably to Rusty, Mario, and Tony. Rusty was patient, personable, and a lot of fun to work with when car shopping. I have only good things to say about Subaru! I recently purchased my second Subaru from Timmons. I scheduled online with Sabri. When I showed up (2 hours late) he has the vehicle I was looking at prepped and ready for me to look at! He was so fun and friendly to deal with. Even after purchasing, he has reached out to me several times to assure that everything is running smoothly and I'm happy with my purchase. I can't recommend Timmons -- and Sabri -- enough!! Timmons Subaru - 2026 Subaru Outback - Auto Repair Near Me - Long Beach, California

I think that like most people car buying is one of my least favorite things to do but a huge necessity. The folks at Timmons made that experience much easier and less painful than several of my past experiences. We used the Costco Auto Buying Program which made the process even easier. Our contact Sabri Algaza was very courteous and not at all pushy. We were pretty much already settled on the vehicle we wanted and he didn't try to upsell us, showed us the car let us test drive it, and explained all the controls and new bells and whistles that we weren't accustomed to. Once we decided on actually purchasing the vehicle we were handed off to financing, definitely the very worst part of the purchase. BUT Miles Custer the finance manager really eased that pain and made us feel like more than just a bunch of numbers. He was very friendly and wasn't just business. He went through all the paperwork explaining everything in a way that was easy to understand, also asking about our family and sharing stories of his family too. Overall with the Costco Program, the Timmons staff and the pre-owned Subaru Forester that we purchased we are very pleased with the entire experience. read more

A very positive experience! Having been in the automobile industry for nearly 25 years, I knew what to expect. They were a nice experience. Not what I expected! My sales representative was Curtis Wilson was great. No over sell. He asked what I wanted and listened! Yes, he offered alternatives. He then presented their product. I am only 3 days into my new new Forester. Still loving it AND working to learn all the features. I figure I'll have it pretty much absorbed by January. Yes, I had a good experience. I do recommend Curtis. He's a good guy. read more

My mother leased a 2026 Crosstrek here in April and it was nothing but a great experience. The car has a full prepaid maintenance package for the full lease term. Brought it in for its first 6k service (9/12) and they failed to rotate the tires which the maintenance schedule calls for, we paid for and the paperwork states. We paid for a service we did not receive. First time Subaru owners and we thought Timmons would do better. read more

Months ago I took my car in with what I assumed were transmission issues. I was told that the transmission was a sealed system and the fluid could not be checked and changed and bottom line was the issue was that I had been using low quality fuel and I should use higher octane fuel and they recommended a costly engine carbon flush, not a transmission fluid change. Today I took the car in and was told as part of the 95,000 mile service I would need new transmission fluid. Something that was not possible just a few months prior. The tech said I was wrong and the fluid could not be checked but it could be changed. So I opted for a minor service, Usually I was offered to wait or a Lyft ride home. When I wasn't offered one I asked about it. I was told they have never provide rides for minor service. Timmons has performed all scheduled service on this vehicle for the last five years and I have always been offered a Lyft ride. The galling thing was they stated that that was not true, they have never provided rides for minor service. So if you want to be called a liar Timmons is the place to read more

Timmons Subaru is always my go to Subaru to go to for any repairs, routine maintenace, and even purchases! I recently came in not intending to buy a car, but so glad I did because Jeff was a great to work with. I requested for him specifically to work with him for the Costco Auto Program. He was so accommodating and made everything very easy and smooth. He was very personable and made the experience not feel so intimidating (especially because I am a woman). Very disappointed in my experience today with Yulissa at Timmons today. I walked in fully prepared to purchase and left without a car. Honesty and integrity matter to me, and this was a textbook bait-and-switch. I did my research, used the dealership's online payment calculator, confirmed the exact vehicle, and scheduled an appointment. Clear, simple, straightforward. I test-drove the car, confirmed it was the one I wanted, reiterated my $4,000 down payment and excellent credit -- and then everything shifted. I was presented with quotes for completely different vehicles than the one we had just test drove and discussed. After another long wait, I received numbers that were dramatically higher than what was advertised online. What is going on here? I've made this so easy - it should be a slam dunk sale. Not the case. She just continued to play games. Instead of acknowledging the discrepancy, she said she had "never seen" the online pricing (there are literally 1/2 dozen of this same car). She went as far as to take photos MY phone to show a manager. What tha???? This is your own website! Why are you acting like this? Just go get the dang numbers. She left me sitting for a third time and I left. We have choices about where we spend money and what the transaction should feel like - mutually respectable. It was frustrating, unprofessional, and a complete waste of time. I expected transparency. I did not receive it. read more

I did not purchase my Subaru from this location. I moved to Long Beach in early 2025 and have since had my car serviced here twice for simple maintenance. Both times, I left feeling uneasy about the quality of the work. The service is fast, maybe a little too fast. After my first visit, my car started showing a low windshield wiper fluid notice for the first time ever, about two months later. When I brought this up during my second visit, I explained to Danny Duong (the service advisor who helped me) that my usage hadn't changed. He insisted that I must have been using the wiper fluid more than usual, which didn't sit right with me. I had received an email from Timmons with a coupon for a complimentary rental, so I mentioned it at check-in. Danny, and even the coworker next to him, seemed surprised by the coupon. He said he needed to speak with the person in charge of rentals, then suddenly remembered it was Saturday and said that person wasn't working that day. He offered to help by ordering me an Uber to and from my home while my car was being serviced. In the past, I've always received a detailed service report via call, text, or email outlining what was done and any recommendations. This time, I received nothing until I specifically asked for it after being notified that my car was ready. Even then, the report I was emailed did not seem complete or as detailed as reports I've received in the past. For example, I usually receive information about my tire tread depth, but that information was completely missing. When I reviewed the report, the total listed online was different from the amount Danny told me I had to pay at the dealership. He said he didn't know why the online report showed a different total and that "it is what it is." The difference was about $20, not a huge amount, but essentially, that "complimentary" Uber ride wasn't actually complimentary. Because of these experiences, I'll be returning to the dealership where I originally purchased my Subaru. I can't shake the feeling of distrust with the service department at this location. Also worth noting: service staff left trash in my cup holder. read more

It is shady how they initially responded to my review with "we are so sorry, we will reach out to you asap" to then never doing so, deleting that reply and then trying to cover it up by saying it's all good and it was cleared by a Honda technician. This was never told to me when I went to the dealership in person to retrieve my car and asked what was done to my car. There is no excuse for the lack of communication or care, even if this is true, I have a hard time believing it after everything I've been through with this dealership. Here I am 5k miles later and the check engine light is on yet again with - you guessed it - a catalytic converter code and a fuel injector code. Seriously a pain. Once again you're on your own here if you buy a used car without a warranty add-on. You'll get a check engine light a week after purchasing and get gaslit and they take no accountability for selling a car with known issues read more

Let's start off by saying that I am very excited to be a new Subaru driver! I came in with an idea of what I wanted to purchase, but was still unsure. After meeting with Russell and going on a test drive; I immediately fell in love. Russell was so descriptive and answered all my questions with clarity. I learned so many things that I would have never known. Russell provided me with keys of two models and left me to explore at my own convenience. After I told him what I liked and what I didn't; he was able to find exactly what I wanted in the lot. Once in the office we were able to discuss logistics and Russell was able to make me happy with numbers. He showed interest in making me confident in my decision (which I have never experienced before). Russell never said no, and kept making efforts in answering my questions and followed my lead. After Russell gave me the run down of numbers I met with Miles who was even more enthusiastic than I was (definitely brought my energy up). Miles was so calm and collected and similar to Russell answered all my questions. I am glad that I was able to meet both gentleman who treated me with kindness and made me happy! I began my new‑car search last November and narrowed it down to a Toyota Corolla Cross or a Subaru Crosstrek. After comparing both, the Crosstrek Limited stood out--especially the interior styling and amenities, which I preferred over the Toyota Cross. I scheduled an appointment with Russell Csonka, the Internet Sales Manager at Timmons Subaru in Long Beach on December 26. Russell was extremely helpful and transparent about the pricing on several model variations, which made the decision process straightforward. The next morning, I texted him that I was ready to move forward, and we met an hour later to begin the purchase. Russell initiated the process and then introduced me to Miles Custer, the Finance Manager. Miles reviewed the optional service plans without any pressure, which I appreciated. While I was finishing up in finance, Russell had my Crosstrek Limited prepped and brought to the front of the dealership. After the paperwork, he walked me through the next steps, answered my remaining questions, and even set up my first scheduled service appointment. From start to finish, the entire purchase took about an hour and a half. A word about the dealership itself: Timmons Subaru is clean, welcoming, and very customer‑focused. To cut to the chase before sharing the personal stuff: If you're considering a Subaru, start here. Period.  I'm sure all the guys there are great, but I can tell you that if you ask for Russell, you'll be in great hands - especially if what you're looking for is a friendly, low pressure experience. Onto the rest: In a fit of pique last Saturday, I reached out online to test drive the BRZ - no intention of buying that day, but wanted to check it out. Was called by Russell maybe 15 minutes later; he was unavailable that day, but we quickly arranged a drive the following morning. I was already prepping my speech for the following morning - I'm not buying today, I'm just checking things out, no, you can't convince me, no, I don't want to meet with your GM or finance manager, etc. etc. etc.  No, I'm not giving you my SSN.  I'm just looking.  I don't intend to spend eight hours here today being hard sold. I had it all teed up and ready to go.  Turns out, it was a waste of my mental time; when I got there and he joined me, I instantly felt at ease and  comfortable with him from the moment I saw him exit the building. He seemed to just instinctively understand I was just there that day to get the lay of the land.  In retrospect, he was probably content to let the car(s) sell themselves.  Good call, Russell, because the cars do sell themselves.  :) So I felt comfortable laying on him at the last minute, before we even pulled out of the lot, that I also wanted to drive a Crosstrek - no problem, he had time for it.  It was like the guy was my personal concierge for what turned into 90 minutes - a 90 minutes *I* wanted, not that he pushed me into. We chatted during the drive - I explained that I didn't really NEED a new car, but that Subs had been catching my eye, especially since I no longer love any of my go-to makes. I told him about my 2008 G37S that i desperately miss, explaining that I don't love what infiniti did with their later models that have now been discontinued anyway, and that the BRZ was all that was now catching my eye as far as that class goes.   He owns a BRZ, so told me about his experiences with it. It was a nice test run, and I didn't even kill the engine till we pulled back into the lot afterward. Haha. (Manual trans.) Once he took me to the crosstrek, though, I instantly knew that would be my jam. I've always hated SUVs/crossovers, but i knew as soon as I pulled out of the lot that that's where I'm at in my life, now.  Turns out he owns one of those too, so he gave me some good owner-info on it.  Never seeming like he was "selling" me, just like friends car- talking over a beer (or in this case, my huge bottle of water). As we drove the brand new Crosstrek with 8 miles on it, I told him a) I probably wouldn't purchase before the first of the year and that b) my sweet spot is used under a year/10K miles.  He nearly jumped out of the passenger seat to tell me that they rotate their loaners every few months, and that might be a good way for me to go given my requirements.  "And since you're not in a hurry, I can text you when something comes up."  We agreed this was the way to go. When we got back to the lot, he asked me to wait a minute while he checked to see if anything was going to come 'round in a few months.  Turns out, one with the exact trim/features I wanted was about to be spiffed up for sale.  He told me, "it's probably too soon for you, but do you want to drive it?"  Well, YES.  As a matter of fact, I do!  So off we went for the third drive of the morning. I drove it, LOVED IT, we brought it back, he told me it hadn't been priced yet but he'd give me a call to keep me posted.  About five days later, he called. Price was fair.  In the meantime, I had "built" the same model on the Subaru website with its respective packages, allowed for this one being "used" (2024, 4K miles), and the number I came up with is pretty much exactly what was ultimately offered compared to similar used models for sale elsewhere. So by last night, I'd agreed to buy it, and he picked me up AT MY HOME this morning so I wouldn't have to take an uber (no trade). The car was already waiting for me out front - detailed and gorgeous.  He took a lot of time to show me all its features and explain everything.  We spent probably an hour on that, and then it was time for paperwork:  which took about 45 minutes, most of that because Mike in finance and I were chitchatting throughout, due to having friends in common.  All in all:  in at 9, out at around 10:45a, superlative purchasing experience from drive to paperwork. After buying my last car on Carvana, I swore I'd never go brick and mortar again, but I did this time and I have no regrets.  If their service department is anything approaching sales/finance/front desk staff, I'm going to be even happier that the Crosstrek is now sitting in my driveway waiting for the third joyride of the day. read more

We bought our 2020 Subaru Ascent a few years back from another Subaru dealership, and when we moved to southern California we started coming here to Timmons. I can't say enough about how wonderful their customer service is, especially Chris and David in the service department, who have helped me a few times now. Chris goes above and beyond to make sure we know what's going on, the estimated costs and the time frame in which things will be done. My car is in great shape thanks to their team here, and I always feel good about not being ripped off. I spoke to another customer here while I'm sitting waiting for my oil change, and she agrees that it's always a good experience coming here. Friendly employees, super honest and open service department, and as far as I know, they do excellent work on cars.
