Beautiful atmosphere, gorgeous restaurant, decent food but lousy customer service. There was only one waiter in the whole restaurant. He never refilled our waters or checked on our table. Ordered a steak and they gave it to me cold. Tasted like it just came out of the fridge. When I complained and had it sent back, they reheated the steak in the microwave and served it back to me and let me know they had warmed it up. It was still cold. I would have sent it back again but I was pretty sure they'd spit in my food if I did. I was charged full price for the meal. Will not be coming back to spend my hard earned money on expensive microwaved steak. Such a shameful experience for such a gorgeous restaurant. read more

I stopped in here for dinner because I have passed this place numerous times and felt it was time to check it out. It's a very cozy restaurant and the large fireplace in the dining room is gorgeous. Perfect for a cold winter night. I just wish that the food was better. The food was not bad by any means but it just fell flat. The appetizer of spinach artichoke dip was horrendous. It was Dry and Bland. The cheese was stringy and such but had no flavor which left it unidentifiable. It just was chewy and stringy and the dip had huge quartered artichoke hearts that didn't allow for easy scooping with the paired crostini. The calamari was good. Not great but good. Crispy and not chewy which was a plus but it too could use some salt. My friend had the Chicken Saltimbocca which was once again bland! Which was shocking considering it was to be paired with Prosciutto di Parma which normally is quite salty and yet that couldn't even save the chicken. The chicken however was not dry and was moist. The Ribeye I ordered was probably the best dish. It was grilled and seasoned well and although it was covered in some garlic sauce (not much) I still enjoyed it. Normally I'm a bit of a purist when it comes to a nice grilled steak. But the sauce was not bad and there was not too much of it which made me happy. I want to taste the steak not have it masked by something. Overall the food was mediocre in my opinion. The ambience however made the evening quite enjoyable as well as our waitress who was sweet and funny and very attentive. I'd like to say I may try this place again but I'm not too sure. read more

I've visited Terraza on three separate occasions and I've had a great experience each time. I first went with my husband in early October and we were able to enjoy the beautiful outdoor seating and watch the football game at their outdoor bar. Our waitress, Cameron, (if I remember correctly) was phenomenal and the manager was extremely welcoming. We visited again about a month ago and the service was just as great as the first time. While we had a very minor issue with the buffalo flatbread pizza, (we expected it to have a bit more chicken), the manager quickly offered to add more. We insisted that it was fine as is but seeing how accommodating she was was more than appreciated. It goes without saying that we will be frequenting this establishment a lot more often and we look forward to enjoying the outdoor patio next summer. I really wanted to like this restaurant, as it's been on our list to try for a while now. I gave it 3 stars because the atmosphere and the food were really good, but the service was awful. We had a reservation and they sat us on the patio (which is what we wanted). We sat for legitimately 15-20 minutes watching waiters run back and forth helping every table around us, and no server even came over, even to take our drink order. Finally, someone who was not our server noticed us peering around and getting increasingly impatient, and asked if we'd been helped yet. We said no, and she fetched our server. Our server took our drinks and meal order, since we'd already looked over the menu and decided at that point what we wanted. She repeated my drink order back to me when I said it, and came back with the wrong wine saying that she misheard me. The food came out to us minutes later, and if it wasn't so tasty, I would have thought it was microwaved. My wine came out after I was most of the way through my meal. We decided to go somewhere else for after dinner drinks. We might try this spot again, since there's so many good reviews and we honestly liked the atmosphere. My husband and I visited Terraza for the first time this past Sunday to celebrate our anniversary and we are so glad we did! We made a reservation for one of their outside igloo's so did not eat inside but it looked nice and cozy. If you have the chance, defiantly book a dinner in one of the igloos, it was such a neat experience. They have soft cozy pillows on the chairs with warm blankets and little heaters so we were nice and cozy without our coats on. We started with the calamari which was perfectly battered light and crispy, for dinner I had the filet mignon dinner which was cooked perfectly to my liking and the potatoes and veggies were very good as well. My husband had the paella which he said was very good and was served steaming hot. The portions were very generous as well, plenty of food. For dessert I had their chocolate moose cake and hubby had the lemon cake, both very yummy. Our server Julia was amazing and really made the night special for us. We will defiantly be back in the warmer months to enjoy dinner on the patio when it is in full swing and again to have dinner in the actual restaurant. read more

Great Service, Weak Food This place hasn't been open for long and I think they are trying to work out the kinks. We stopped in last week and sat in there nice updated outdoor bar area. The female bartender treated us very well and it's a pretty nice comfortable atmosphere. Now for the issue, the food. We ordered the tuna appetizer, falafel, and shrimp. None of the items were very good. Maybe the worst falafel I have ever had. The tuna had a strange aftertaste from the sauce. Value: It's gonna cost you to eat and drink here. 2 people, 5 bottles of beer (domestic) 1 mixed drink and 3 apps. 90 bucks tax and tip. Outside seating is great! The Sangria by the pitcher is extremely overpriced ($36) and just your standard Sangria, nothing spectacular. You get 4 glasses, so no savings by ordering by the pitcher. The service was ok. Waitress was friendly but never brought enough menus for the entire table, although we asked for them several times. The charcuterie cheese platter is small and set up to serve 2 -- not ideal for 3 or 4 people. The seafood risotto is blah -- not a lot of flavor. Seafood had no seasoning. Flatbreads are more like pizzas -- not flatbreads at all. Flavors were good but the margharita pizza was missing the fresh mozzarella. Venue was nice with plenty of space, live band and patio area for a warmer night (not our night). We had a groupon. I ordered the pasta carbonara and needed to send it back because it had no flavor at all, even after fresh pepper and parmesan. My sister was disappointed in her mixed grill because the beef did not seem to be a ribeye cut. Our server Kathleen did her best to make us happy, she was very professional and pleasant. The manager came out and replaced my order with an expedited chicken parm. It was so salty I just asked for it to be boxed. Pet peeve of mine is overcharging for tea - $7 for 2 tea bags! Came for their happy hour which is a great way to try out items on the menu to see if it's worth going back. We sat at the bar and had wonderful service from the bartender. All of the cocktails were fantastic! We had the eggplant bites, calamari, spicy shrimp, and margarita flatbread. The shrimp and eggplant were my favorites it everything was excellent. I first found out about this restaurant when my sister got a job there as a bartender, and she told my mom and I about this event that was happening there. Santa was going to be there for pictures, and there was a craft table set up for the kids. Of course, we went there for lunch, which was more like around 3:30 p.m., but the food is crazy good! I got the mixed grill, which is chicken and steak kabobs with saffron rice, veggies, French fries and hummus. Mom got the calamari rings - she was craving seafood - and my sister, who joined us for lunch, got a turkey burger. NOTE TO SELF: Must try the turkey burger. The atmosphere is very relaxed, and the restaurant looks so pretty with all the winter themed decorations, and there are two heated igloos outside on the patio, which look very cozy. I think if my grandfather were with us today for lunch, he would say "This is elegant." Friendly wait staff, yummy food, and Santa was there to boot. I immediately made plans to come again, especially in the summer when the patio is open. Granted, I may have had to waddle like a penguin back to the car after eating all that yummy food, but it was still worth the trip. read more

My boyfriend and I had a great experience dining at Terrazza this evening (our first time). The ambience was pretty, and the ford was delicious. The owner of the restaurant came to out table to check on us and was very warm and welcoming. You could tell she really cares about her customers. Matt (our server) was awesome! He was polite, friendly, attentive, and outgoing. He represents what all servers should be. I hope he is our server next time because he was truly a delight. Our only constructive criticism is that one of the dishes had pasta that was slightly al dente. Also, it would have been nice if bread was served at the beginning like many restaurants offer. That will not stop us from dining there again, however. Overall, we are glad we went. Shout out to Matt who is amazing at his job. When seated bread plates and wrapped silverware were left at the table. When our food was served we asked for bread and the server told us they don't have bread. So we're wondering why put bread plates on the table if the restaurant doesn't have bread? Every time we have dined here we walk away saying "this place could be so great if only they had better management". Not sure we'll give it another chance....they keep coming up short. Sigh Edit to add If you were not serving bread because of Covid perhaps management should have informed your servers that is the reason so they in turn would have known how to reply to our request. Get the burger! I enjoyed my grass fed burger paired with truffle fries so much I don't think I could try anything else on the menu. They also have amazing bread to start with a ricotta oil to dip. I've never had anything like it. I usually get a glass of wine here but I tried an electric pink cocktail that was actually pretty tasty and not overly sweet at all. Sitting at the bar area is my favorite or out back on the patio in the summer. The restaurant is off the beaten path so I haven't seen it get so busy that you can't get in. read more

My wife and I come here for dinner 2 or 3 times a month and really enjoy the food and atmosphere, particularly the outside patio during the summer. They periodically host pre fixed dinners and last night we decided to take advantage of the Italia Wine Dinner. The dinner included 6 wines from Italy, 5 course dinner for $50/person including tax and tip. The wines were delicious and we enjoyed every one of them! The food was fantastic as always and chef Mario and his staff were just terrific. We had a lot of fun and now have some new favorite wines to enjoy! I highly recommend Terrazza on any given day but I would also recommend giving any of the pre fixed dinners that they offer several times per year a try! Very disappointed in both the food and service. I've frequented this establishment on more than one occasion and its always been great. I went there for dinner on 10/16, sad to say the food and service has taken a huge nose dive. We ordered apps, the calamari, French fries and cauliflower which were about half the size, cauliflower was over cooked French fries and calamari were served cold. The bus person came over to serve the main courses, (pumpkin tortellini and a margarita pizza which were just okay) and failed to take the dirty plates which we had neatly stacked at the corner of the table obviously to be taken away. She also failed to bring clean utensils. After waiting to get the servers attention, we asked for clean utensils as were left with none and also to remove the used plates, she took the plates came back to the table and pretty much flung the utensils on the table. WOW. As we were sitting finishing out drinks and a woman came over and advised it was time for us to GO, because there was another party waiting to come in at 8 while there was no one in waiting in the foyer. Very off-putting. There was never a mention of a time limit when I called to make reservations and nothing indicating a time limit on the table. Love this place! The hummus is so good ... one of the best around. My favorite part of Terrazza is they have Moet by the glass for 14$!! No restaurants have Moet by the glass ... especially for 14$! Their doing something right, been here the longest. Right off 295 Smithfield. I walked in and was glad I came in. Well maintained, clean comfortable. The bartender greeted us like we were regulars. She was totally professional, friendly and on her game. Her name is Haley...she made us feel relaxed. I watched her train other staff as well. Definitely go back just for the service with a smile. I ordered a medeterainion burger medium rare. Spot on, even the Chef asked how the food was. The drinks were just what the doctor ordered. Portion size was not over bearing, hit the spot. The menu was simple and bold. Restrooms very clean as well which shows management has pride in their work and the staff. I will have to go back in the future. Definitely a repeat customer. It's been a year since I've been here. Jalapeno burger and a chicken wrap with homemade fresh potato chips. Delicious! You have to at least try this place once. Guarantee you'll be back. read more

There was flies landing on me as I ate, waited several minutes at the bar for drinks that we did not enjoy, and waited even longer to get a food menu after we told the bartender we came to eat. After ordering, the food was unappetizing and took a while to get to the table. Risotto was poorly prepared (bland as well) and my swordfish was way overcooked. My boyfriend got the mixed grill platter and was not thrilled-minute rice from the box, stale freezer fries, barely any seasoning on the steak. It could be that we "didn't get the right thing" but it was tough to say what was the restaurant's specialty when the menu is all over the place. read more

My food was delicious and as far as I could tell it looked good too, but I would have liked to be able to see it a little bit better. I've dined at Terrazza on several occasions. Small intimate setting. Beautiful fireplace in the main dining room. I've always enjoyed everything from the appetizers, cocktails, entrees, to dessert, and the espresso martinis are fabulous. The service has always been excellent. They are offering outdoor igloos on the patio. I dined with my husband and friends. What a fun experience! The igloo was beautiful decorated, heated and cozy. The capacity is 6 people, but I think 4 is the perfect number. If you are looking for a fun and different experience without having to go to Boston or Providence, check out the igloos. We are looking forward to the patio opening in the warmer weather. It looks like it is really nice. read more

I typically love this place and my waitress was fantastic however my mother and I both ordered chicken piccata and it came out orange. It tasted like buffalo chicken rather than a wine sauce. We asked for a new order and our same chicken came out (just in a different sauce) leaving the residual taste from the previous sauce. Again, our waitress was amazing - apologetic and compensated us with desert and took the whole dinner off the bill. The food service was not what it usually is. :( read more
