What a nice dinner tonight at Andrew's! We had taken Andrew's off our rotation because we felt like it had gotten expensive and wasn't as good! They introduced a wider dinner for 2 menu and we decided to give it another go! We sat at the bar....the bartender was super friendly and so attentive! We chose the wings, the haddock piccata and the chicken florentine! The haddock was delicious!!! Perfect piccata flavor - great fish! The Florentine was good too! We added a bottle of wine for $15 - I mean honestly - that's a steal! We even had dessert! Everything was so good! We were so happy and said - Andrew's has got to be back in the mix! Our first dinner here was great with delicious food and great service (although slightly overpriced for the portions and quality). The goat cheese crostini was very basic and unimpressive but the bolognese was delicious. Our second trip was not as strong. The service seemed inexperienced. The martinis were not well balanced and though my salad was well made, my meal was inedible because of over salting. I sent it back saying that I didn't want it again and she insisted it be remade and thus I had to pay for it. When it was done, my party had finished and I just took it home. Overall it is a nice local spot but the quality of the food does not warrant the price point and it will be some time before I try it again. read more

I really wanted to like this place, I've been following for a while on social media and everything always looks so good. That start you off with bread and it wasn't great at all. The fried calamari was really good, definitely recommend that. Baked pasta was perfect nice and cheesy. Steaks were really tasty and they served some sauce on the side. I called on February 11th, 2026 and spoke to Michelle, sharing our desire to visit since we live nearby. We wanted to surprise our wives with a Valentine's Day double date. Michelle said she had a spot open. Later, she called back saying she had been away since Saturday and had to cancel because they were booked. I was disappointed and asked if she could do something; her response was "well you should have called sooner." Personally, I find her response and service very unprofessional!!! Absolutely delicious. It's been a while since we visited and it did not disappoint. We visited in a Friday evening around 8pm. The establishment was quiet and we were attended to quickly. We each ordered a martini from the specialty menu and they were out of this world. We had the pompette for an appetizer which was delicious and for entrees we got chicken parm and rigatoni bolognese. I took my family there yesterday, recommended by a co-worker. The cocktail drinks were fine, for appetizer we had some calamari, good, stuffed mushrooms, coconut shrimp and very small raw oysters. The entrees were very SALTY, my sister took two bites of the Beef bourguignon, I had the sea sea scallops and crab cakes over linguine with red sauce, I ate one sea scallop - very salty. My mom had the sea scallops and shrimp over risotto, also very salty. I asked our server, Brie to let the chef know. The staff were friendly and attentive; the place is clean and inviting. Super unassuming location that is well worth the visit! Always looking for gluten free options for a friend of mine who has GF sensitivities. Great to see Andrew's Bistro offer both GF pasta and pizza crust! It was a Wed night so didn't think we needed a reservation, the place was a third full when we got there. Sweet, intimate and welcoming atmosphere The focaccia bread basket was a nice start to the evening along with our drinks - would be great if they had a GF bread option as well, but I understand supply and demand =) We started with the stuffed mushrooms that were very tasty, I can't do shellfish so always appreciate when I can find a stuffed mushroom that isn't seafood stuffed. The star of the show was my chicken parm - I requested it to be doused in the pink vodka sauce along with fresh fusilli pasta. This was one of the best renditions of pink vodka chicken parm I've had - absolutely delicious and is what will make me come back!! Our waiter Tait was amazing! There was snafu with my order and he was sweet and comped our appetizer which was not necessary at all but greatly appreciated. Best service and even better fare. Absolutely delicious lobster ravioli with sea scallops. Appetizer of fresh oysters served correctly. Finished up with fresh cannoli and a double espresso. This is the second time I went with my niece to your restaurant.Had a wonderful experience the first time. This time it was a nightmare. We were seated in a corner which was great but our waiter ignored us as he socialized with other guests . We waited a long time for him to take our order, my niece wanted coffee and he brought her a cappuccino. We waited over a half hour for him to wrap our food up as it was getting dry sitting on the table. We waited so long to get our bill that I had to ask another waitress to find our waiter. We got there at 5:05 and didn't leave until 8:20. Not only were we frustrated but I have a handicap and can't sit there that long. I wouldn't mind but we dropped $182.52 dollars for 2 people. Expected a great meal and service. Unfortunately both came up short. One of us had the scallops and risotto. Scallops were just ok, Risotto was under cooked and bland no flavor. The other had the Rigatoni Bolognese. The Bolognese was good yet not enough Rigatoni. The wait was long waitress apologized numerous times. She then asked how the food was. My wife never complains she told her she was disappointed with the dish. They talked up the Scallop dish and it just did not measure up. Waitress went to manager to see what she could come up with. My 3 Stars isn't for the food or service but the price. This place is over priced for its location. Last I checked they are in a strip mall in Cumberland, not NYC, not Boston, not even Providence. I have been here on a few occasions, and the service and food are always great. Id go more often if I didn't need to take second mortgage to do so. At the end of the day I don't think the location, food, or service warrant the price tag. I know you get what you pay for and this place has to hold to that. I hope the chef, servers and entire staff are well paid. If you do go, you will be served fantastic food, and the servers do and an exceptional job catering to your needs. I love Andrew's Bistro and I especially love Nicole the bartender. She is always so accommodating. The food is delicious. We love the filet mignon. It's always done perfect. The baked haddock is amazing. The stuffed mushrooms are delicious! Nicole makes the best white Cosmo!! I love the atmosphere it's warm and inviting. Food is always consistently delicious, staff is beautifully trained, and so courteous. To provide an example; we brought our 3 year old there on a Saturday night and most restaurants would have a look of pure panic. Not here. They were kind and accommodating. Granted, we received many notes regarding how well behaved she was, however, I know most children aren't like her overall. We only had one request, they not seat us at a table, we preferred a booth. Last night we had dinner at Andrews Bistro. It was delightful. We were a party of six. Everyone throughly enjoyed our meals. The Calamari was perfect and enough for us all to share. Very tasty. My Bolognese was very good. I've made this at home and have been told that mine is the best. This was right up there with mine. The Grilled Salmon Spinach Salad was the best. Presentation was fantastic. Service was excellent and I like that all the meals were delivered at the same time by multiple staff. Only suggestion would be the lobster Ravioli. It was delicious but very small portions. My guest was finished way before everyone else. All other portions were great. All in all it was a great night. This was a fun and great find for me. I got their specialty panini - chicken, spinach, mozzarella and was drenched in their homemade honey Mustard sauce. I was impressed with how plentiful this panini was served. The sauce made an immediate hit with me and it made sense when the server said they make it in the back. Their pricing structure was super fair. It's sort of tucked away in a plaza. Andrews is basically the anchor for this plaza - there was nothing really going on here besides the bistro. When I walked in they were busy with business men and women here to get a quick lunch and back to their missions. I wish Andrews was closer. read more

My husband and I who are new in town recently visited for a glass of wine on the outside patio. Let me say that the service was fine; the servers were polite, kind and attentive. However, I had to gasp when I saw the bill! Now I've had glasses of wine in New York, Washington DC, Paris and Geneva, Switzerland, but NEVER, EVER have I paid $16.50 ! Yes, $16.50 for one glass of wineI couldn't believe my husband when he reported this- I needed to see that bill with my own eyes. And sure enough, $16.50 for a glass of sauvaignon blanc white wine. Needless to say we won't be going back there again for a sundowner. If you carry on down Mendon Road you'll find an excellent Bousquet blanc made with organic grapes at RJ's Hill Liquors for $10 a bottle. Made Valentines reservations over a month in advance. Was really looking forward to a nice night out. Got seated in bar section under tv, not really where I wanted to be. But I could over look that. The waiter was a mess. We ordered a 60 dollar seafood tower and our meals and drinks. Ask for bread 3 times never came out. He never wrote anything down and I knew it would be messed up. He kept saying the kitchen was backed up. We sat at an empty table over an hour. Then our dinners came out. I had to tell the dish runner to cancel our seafood tower. I wasn't not to eat oysters after a pasta dish. I wasn't happy but ate our meals that were good. While we were eating he brought over the dessert tray. I was so done. We left and went to the Cheesecake Factory for dessert and coffee. The owner did stop and ask us how everything was on the way out. And said come back another night and he'll make it right. We have been to Andrew's Bistro probably 5 times over the last 2 years, after moving nearby. Because it is so close to us and we like to support local restaurants, we really wanted to like it. The food is good but nothing amazing after living in Providence near top-notch Italian. We liked their ambiance inside. However, a couple of things have really bothered me since the 2020 pandemic hit, and as a result I don't think we'll be going back, even after things calm down. Due to being pregnant, my husband and I were isolating when the pandemic first hit in March. But, we wanted to support local businesses, so we were buying gift cards. We were going to buy one from Andrew's. However, they sent an email out to their list advertising a discount *only* for dining in and *not* take-out as a "last hurrah" before things shut down on March 17. This seemed really irresponsible to me. I completely understand wanting to cultivate business, but why not extend the discounts to take-out to encourage less contact? This was before masks were really being worn. This email bothered us enough that we did not buy a gift card from them in March 2020. In response to the comment below: We did not know how bad the virus would be in mid-March, but certainly shutting down was for a reason. There were death counts in other countries, and in our own, at that time. When the email was sent, the shut-down orders were in place for RI but not yet taking effect. Why explicitly encourage dining in just before the shutdown and discourage take-out at that time? The restaurant could have cultivated takeout business responsibly but chose not to. About a week ago (Nov 2020) my husband and I decided to head over to grab take-out. I was not impressed with their system. On the phone, I asked if I had to come inside to pick up the food and was told "yes." When I arrived, I was greeted by a young employee with a mask over his mouth but not his nose. I had to get right next to him to even get into the door. There were about 5 servers all hanging out together in one corner of the restaurant, very close to one another and way more people than it seemed like they needed given the number of people dining, and there were even a couple of servers tending to tables at the time. It was peak dinner time, so I would not think a ton more people would arrive. I had to march through the entire restaurant to get to the back bar to grab take-out. There I waited for the food. There was a couple sitting at the bar, masks off, having a drink. There is plexiglass between pairs of seats at the bar, but not in between the first set of seats and the walkway where I was asked to wait. There was only one couple at the bar, and they were seated in exactly that seat, right by where anyone who is getting take-out needs to go and with no plexiglass protection on that side. So, no plexiglass between me and the guy who kept coughing in my direction as I waited. Why not seat them in the other corner to keep people separated? There is honestly no need for people to have to march through the whole restaurant for take-out, especially since they were not short-staffed. Why not ask me to wait outside and bring it to me? It seems like there are some precautions being taken for show, but that Andrew's is not taking the virus as seriously as many other restaurants are. For that reason, we are left with a very bad taste in our mouths, and are not going to go out of our way to support Andrew's, now or post-pandemic. read more

Had a wonderful dinner and drinks at Andrew's Bistro tonight! The food was delicious the service was great and we loved the atmosphere! Most important, at the end of the night who we thought was bartender turns out to be the owner? He tracked us down in the parking lot as we are leaving to ask us if one of us dropped $100 bill? I checked in my purse and knew it was not me and then my sister checked her's and found it indeed belonged to her the Owner returned it to her. When she went to give him something to say thank you he absolutely refused and said he was just glad that he found the owner! That speaks volumes for not only the owner but the restaurant! So if you want good food good atmosphere and high integrity this is definitely the place for you to come enjoy a wonderful night out! read more

Came here tonight with 3 friends! And boy oh boy we loved it!!! Everything we ordered was delicious!!! The roasted goat cheese Bruchetta was my favorite apps! Along with seafood tower perfect for table share! I enjoyed a lobster ravioli for dinner and my friend's dishes were also delicious! Happy the menu caters to more than just Italian food so if you're like me that loves options this is the place to go!!!! Andrew was our server and he was right on!!!! Chris the manager checked in on us a few times you can tell this guy believes in his business and cares for his customers!!! Def recommend this place! By the way the coconut dessert is delicious!!! I was so impressed tonight!! I had a really good red sangria .. fresh warm Italian bread .. Portuguese style calamari .. chicken parmigiana which had amazing flavor! I loved the tomato sauce! My husband got chicken marsala. Brought home a chocolate cake which the waiter mentioned it was new and hands down it was the best chocolate cake I've ever had!!
