The Sicilian Chicken is Highly recommended! I found the meal and service to be good. I felt the experience warranted 4 stars NOT the 3, I read on Yelp....

We walk in and we were asked to wait for a table the restaurant was half empty so the hostess made believe she was cleaning the table for us but she did not clean nothing she made us wait for no reason right then I should of left . As for the food let's start with the apps the fried mozzarella was absolutely refried frozen. next app was the calamari very good a little under cooked for me but still good. the pork's chops were chewy and lifeless . My son hated his chicken Parm, again not hand breaded definitely frozen. we will not be back. I hate to leave a business, a one star but between the hostess and our waitress, constantly correcting us telling us there's no free refills, they leave me no choice but to be honest to my fellow yelpers. we are a older couple we know most places don't have free refill DUH my wife took the left overs and when I got home I trew them in the trash. times are hard for everone we want to try new places but with such bad service and lack of good food we are better off going to the places we have gone to for years. Very disappointing and waste of money. Ps the waitress told us no refills do yourself a favor either go to chellos or the patriot diner

Was excited to try this new location in Cumberland. Cumberland definitely needs more restaurants and so this is a welcome edition. Service was alright, our waitress did not wait to put in our entrees after appetizers as requested and it felt like we were being rushed out. Drinks were good, but pricey. The food was okay, nothing to write home about. I had the chicken Sorrento with pink vodka sauce and the homemade pasta. There was an upcharge for the sauce and for the pasta. This made this meal over $35, and it was bland. I never have to season my food at the table but this needed it. I'm not sure if I will return, as there are better options nearby.

Recently had dinner at Pats with my husband and my in-laws and it was AMAZING! The ambiance was inviting. The food, the drinks, the staff, and the management were exceptional. They were very attentive and friendly. I can't wait to go back and have another amazing night. Definitely recommend!!!

I have eaten here on many occasions and my dinner last night was horrible. It seemed like reheated leftovers. I will never return.

The two met when they both worked at a brewery in Honolulu. Once returning to Rhode Island, the couple decided to open their own gastropub in Stephanie's hometown of Westerly. Dubbed "The Malted Barley", the business focused on craft beer paired with gourmet pretzel sandwiches. The pretzel dough is made fresh daily, and every pretzel is rolled and stuffed by hand. After much success, the Bennetts looked to franchise their business model. After signing a licensing agreement with investor Ron Koller, a second Malted Barley opened in Providence in March 2016. In March 2023, the Bennetts closed the original Malted Barley in Westerly so that they could focus on their flower farm, Echo Rock Flowers, as well as their family. The Malted Barley in Providence continues to run under the ownership of Ron Koller. I visited the original Westerly location of the Malted Barley in 2014 while I was on a craft beer bus tour. I was so impressed with their excellent craft beer selection and delicious gourmet pretzels that I decided to make the gastropub a stop on my craft beer bachelor party bus tour three years later. I was very sad when I heard that the original location closed down, but I took comfort in knowing that a second location still existed in Providence. I recently visited the Providence location for lunch while I was passing through the area. When I walked in, I immediately smelled the freshly baked pretzels. For food, I ordered the "Barley Bacon Beast Burger" (75 % beef 25 % bacon patty, pepperjack cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles, more bacon w/ a side of ketchup) on an Everything Pretzel. It really hit the spot. I must add that these pretzels are essentially a hybrid between traditional Bavarian pretzels and New York-style bagels: salty and crunchy on the outside, soft and chewy on the inside. While looking over the beer menu, I was surprised to see that the Malted Barley now brews their own house beer in addition to guest taps. I ordered a taster flight that featured Malted Barley's "Banana Bread" (Traditional Ale) and "Monster Juice" (Hazy IPA), as well as Long Live Beerworks' "Invisible IPA" (hazy IPA) and Phantom Farms Brewing's "Coarse Woody Debris" (Saison). All of the beers were very refreshing and paired nicely with my pretzel sandwich. I still miss the original Westerly location, but it's nice to know that you can still find delicious pretzels sandwiches paired with craft beer just a little further away.

I sat at the bar and the server came by pretty quick to take my order. I ordered a grilled cheese with a bag of mango habanero chips. These are my all time favorite chips and I've actually never seen them anywhere but Homegoods - yes, I said Homegoods. Anyways, I wish I was able to chill a bit and have a drink cause their tap list was on point. Check out my pic. The grilled cheese was super delicious. What a great idea to use pretzels as the vessel for all sandwiches. I told my hubby next time we're in the area, we're def stopping by for another pretzel sammy and a beer... or two.

We both ordered the Classic Smash Burger, one with cheese and one without. Unfortunately, both burgers were utterly tasteless, with virtually no seasoning detected at all. The Chomp Sauce that was supposed to elevate the burger was so sparse it barely made an appearance, leaving the burgers bland. Honestly, the bun was the best part. The brussel sprouts I ordered also lacked flavor and seasoning aside from the char, and his Cajun fries were so salty they were nearly inedible. After driving from Massachusetts to Rhode Island as a special Mother's Day treat, it ended up being a very disappointing experience, especially given the overwhelmingly positive reviews. We may have caught them on an unusually busy night, but unfortunately our meals fell far short of our expectations.

The bartender barely made eye contact, and when I ordered a spicy tequila soda, I was served with Tajín sprinkled on top--not exactly what I'd expect for a spicy drink. The food was equally underwhelming. The pepperoni pizza came out with the pepperoni completely burnt. When we mentioned it, we were told that's simply how they prepare it, so keep that in mind if you order pizza here. The wings were decent and had a good amount of meat on them, but that was about the only highlight. The nachos arrived swimming in grease, making them difficult to enjoy, and the toppings were just average. The French fries were another issue--they appeared to have been cooked in the same fryer as seafood. This wasn't disclosed, and the fries came out tasting noticeably fishy. Thankfully, I don't have a seafood allergy, but that could be a serious concern for someone who does. The ambiance was fine, but overall the food and service left a lot to be desired, and I wouldn't go out of my way to return.

If we felt the service appropriately deserved it, that is what we would have given. Servy is extremely slow. With the overpriced menu, we would expect better service and certainly don't expect someone to override the tip we gave.
