We had such an amazing experience at Terra! All of the food was delicious. The service was fantastic, including the sommelier and the bartender. You could just tell they loved and mastered their craft. They have a vast selection of wines, displayed in an open cellar. It felt both trendy and cozy at the same time. I would definitely go back again soon!
Our Thursday evening at Terra (October 16, 2025) was absolutely wonderful. Despite being fully booked, the restaurant maintained a peaceful atmosphere. The setting strikes a perfect balance--refined and sophisticated without feeling stuffy, while the team creates an incredibly welcoming environment. Guillermo, the general manager, took excellent care of us. His recommendation to begin with beef tartare garnished with truffle and caviar was spot-on, and it paired beautifully with a glass of sparkling Cava. I chose the lobster soup while my husband enjoyed an impressive burger featuring pineapple chutney and truffle mayonnaise--both were outstanding. Still having room, I added the veal cheeks, which were melt-in-your-mouth tender and absolutely divine! We indulged in two desserts to cap off the meal. John, the wine director, provided wonderful descriptions of each dish--his passion and knowledge were captivating. While Guillermo had mentioned their talented mixologist Boris, we opted for cocktails instead of wine, and what a decision that was! Boris's creations were refined, flavorful, and beautifully balanced. I particularly appreciated how smooth they were. We're already planning our return visit to explore more of the menu!
It's a cute lunch date place. I went with their pull pork Benedict and it is delicious! It does have a little kick of heat which I don't mind at all. They also put a good amount of pull pork. It also came with a side salad and home fries. For appetizer, for their braised meatball which I thought it was little on the dry end. Luckily, there was tomato sauce so it doesn't make it that dry. It comes with bread as well. I recommend their Nutella latte I love how much Nutella they put it in. They put Nutella around the rim on the cup and I mixed it all in my latte. I like my latte sweet. I would come back to try their other dishes.
Do not sleep on this place, @terrabrooklyn! Located in Sheepshead bay, Brooklyn! I stumbled upon it and was immediately impressed by the quality of the food and place itself. The presentation of everything was amazing. I try to venture out to different places but have been here already twice in two weeks! Terra has an amazing atmosphere, the decor is amazing throughout! The service & the food are delicious & my daughter loved her meals! Follow me on IG eat_with_alexis for more reviews!
We love the drinks and the shrimp salad. The server was very nice. I prefer more sweet drink since it was hot in the day and asked his suggestion. He went to the bartender to consult the two selections I picked and explain to me the difference of them and also offer a third possible choice. We would go back and try other cocktails sometimes.
Kind of upset at this place and how downhill it went. I used to come here so often during and before covid but the recent year I haven't been. Food has downgraded service was definitely downgraded. I tip highly because of the amazing service but now it's just mediocre. Food is alright. Portions changed and now they charge a 5$ service fee. Service fee ? Uhh what service did I get to deem worthy of this up charge. Ordered an extra bread on the side but wasn't given this "bread" until we asked for our check and by this time we've finished our food. So what's the point of giving it to us ? I couldn't be more sarcastic with them and they didn't even offer an apology Waiters were a mess. No water was given until we asked twice and we had to wave down our waiter just to order food. I always love their mussels but now this experience makes me think twice about going back.
I was in the area when I passed by all the greenery and decided to have some lunch in the cafe. The windows are all open so there's a lovely breeze and sunlight streaming into an otherwise dark restaurant. While we arrived with a party of 5, the cafe was fairly empty so we were seated immediately. We ordered calamari ($15) to start, and a spiked peach tea ($12) and a strawberry lemonade mimosa ($11). The drinks were fairly strong, but the calamari was a disaster. The breading was too thick and crunchy instead of being light and crispy, and it felt like I was eating onion rings with the egregious batter to squid ratio. I ordered the Almost Cuban ($19) with sweet potato fries, which was fairly decent. I couldn't taste much of the pulled pork, but I thought the fried chicken cutlet was done well, and the honey mustard and pickles added a delicious tang. The sweet potato fries were also crispy with a soft interior. I also tried the Tuscan shrimp ($21) which was very creamy and garlicky and sat atop a bed of strangely crunchy spinach. I'm not sure what was done to the spinach for it to give this texture but it was an interesting choice, to say the least. The penne alla vodka ($19) came in a generous portion, though the vodka sauce was a little too sweet and not very creamy. The BLT-E-A came with bacon, lettuce, tomato, two sunny side-up eggs, and avocado on sourdough. Perfunctory with a good choice in bread, but the side of fries it came with felt like it came from the bottom of the bag as they were all tiny little bits and ends. I did not try the Terra Burger ($18) but was told it was very juicy. Overall, I think the food was a hit or miss, but the staff were very nice so I will round up my rating. Just a note, they do include a service charge with your bill!
I recently came here for some brunch with my girlfriend. This place was very nice. We arrived early and got a table right away. The decor inside this restaurant was really cool. It had a nice chill vibe. The service was very great too. We decided to order a steak & eggs meal, as well as a skirt steak sandwich. Both meals were delicious. The steak was flavorful and cooked perfectly. The eggs were tasty. And we also enjoyed the potatoes and sweet potato fries. Actually, all the sides served with the meals complemented the dishes well. Overall, we enjoyed ourselves and had a great time here. Recommended.
Best seller of ambiance award goes to...TERRA! Trust me when I tell you, this quaint, hidden gem of a spot is quite the brunch soirée. It's giving nothing short of gorgeous wonderland vibes! Minus the 'Happy Hour' false advertising, my family and I enjoyed this place. Oh! And the food is a hit too, thanks for serving us Steve.
Prices have gone up, portions and food quality has gone down. Since my first (and second and tenth) visit to Terra, prices have hiked by an average of $4 across all dishes to 2021 menu. Portion size has dwindled to nearly a half of what it used to be! You could count the number of fries on my plate! Literally, count the number, that's how "plentiful" they were. The sandwiches are getting tinier as well. A burger now looks more like a slider.

Terra is what I like to call a cute little brunch spot. Located in Sheepshead Bay, Brooklyn. So I love that it is close to home. I dined in for breakfast, after passing by on numerous occasions. The food is very tasty and fresh. Good portions, so you can also share if you like. I usually order them on uber eats when I'm too lazy to head out there ...and the food still taste the same every time ! I love that read more

This is my first time at Terra. The service is very good, the food selection is great and the people are customer service oriented. I had the steak and eggs at 3pm (was told they had that available all day long, points there for late breakfast), huge cup of coffee and Mac n cheese nibblets to begin with. The steak and eggs were well proportioned, the side salad was tasty, homemade breakfast potatoes were good and the nibblets were great (served with spaghetti sauce). They need to put salt and pepper shakers out. Overall, I will be coming back to try dinner out. read more

I wanted to give them a 4 star review as the food was great! I did not because of the service charge and service. Don't get me wrong the waiter was polite, although I am a FIRM believer that when a restaurant puts on a service charge they hurt their business. In this case o did not see anything on the menu or in the Yelp description for payment that says they are putting on a service charge. This is TOTALLY ILLEGAL. This is the fourth restaurant in Sheepshead Bay Brooklyn that I have recently reviewed that put a service charge on in the fear their customers won't tip. In this case it was only 10% and I believe this should be at the discretion of the customer. I usually tip from 25% so it's the principle. I did give an additional tip although I did have to prompt the waiter a few times. I came here for breakfast and had the Creme brûlée which was Amazing ! I It was light and filling, the restaurant and bathrooms were spotless. The only fault I picked up on was the overhead lights which were in glass balls and needed dusting. If you did not look up you would never know. As a said the service was average and most people would be ok with it, if your a Yelper and want a great experience you would not be entirely happy. The waiter should come over and see how things are from time to time ( It was early in the morning about 10:30 and I was the only customer in the place). Not to repeat myself I find almost every restaurant in Sheepshead Bay has waiters that just take the order and serve the food like a runner. They don't make a "connection" with the customer. I'm not sure I would go back unless they remove the service charge, improve the service and learn to "trust" the customer! read more

Great place! It's unfortunate that Terra is located on such a busy driving street because there is usually no place to park so it's hard to get here. Make it happen though because the food is surprisingly great! I say this because they have such an array of different foods from beef stroganoff to sandwiches to pastas to breakfast. The menu is so extensive and you can order anything at any time - breakfast for dinner. They also have fruit smoothies and good dessert. Max, the waiter we met here, was amazing and such a nice guy! He really made our meal great with recommendations and just his overall personality. He was very attentive, but gave us our space to enjoy. The perfect waiter! My husband and I liked him so much, we made it a point to go back on a day when he would be working. Overall we've tried the BLT-E-A which was more massive that I thought - hard to eat, but very good, truffle fries (these could've used more truffle oil - smelled like truffle tasted like reg fries), the beef and chicken stroganoff (very good!), the truffle mac and cheese (drool), the mushroom julienne (so flavorful), and the Ponchiki for dessert (so cute!). I would definitely recommend this place so if you need to park far away or walk, do it! read more

Came again on Valentines day around 845pm. Tried the steak crostini appetizer and it's pretty big. It was delicious as well. I really enjoyed the slight kick of flavor that the aioli gave it. Steak and eggs-meh, pretty bland. I had to use steak sauce for flavor. Double burger:pretty good and juicy burger. My bf was full from it. Sweet potato fries tasted good. Wait for food was pretty long. I didn't time it, but it definitely took a considerable amount of time. I'm assuming they only have 1 cook in the kitchen or something. The Cafe wasn't really busy either. There were probably 3 or 4 other tables already sitting when I got there. read more

I was blown away by Terra Cafe. I just happened to find it on a list of brunch spots on Yelp and decided to try it out with my boyfriend. We arrived and from the outside it looks like a very small place with a narrow entrance. Once you enter it's a very spacious place that expands out towards the back. There were plenty of tables available as it wasn't crowded at all which I liked. The decor in the cafe was beautiful. We were seated in 0.2 seconds and the waiters were kind, attentive and courteous throughout the meal. Our food came out pretty quickly and was delicious! We ordered the avocado fries as an appetizers and they were amazing and tasted great dipped in the chipotle aioli that came with them. For my meal I ordered the cookie waffle which came topped with cookie butter, strawberries with a side of vanilla ice cream and whipped cream. It was so delicious I couldn't believe it. Would definitely recommend it to anyone who wants something sweet. My bf ordered the steak eggs Benedict and he said they were really good as well. I also had a Nutella latte which was good but I'll probably pass on it next time because it was simply a regular latte with Nutella around the rim of the mug, which was a bit messy to drink. But the coffee was good and strong. My experience here was great and I would definitely return. The portions were good and tasty and not too pricey for a trendy spot like this. This is a good place to come with friends or for a casual but romantic date. read more

Went during COVID times, so I was not able to get the full experience. The cafe has such a contemporary vibe. The servers are attentive and quick. Great service. Food could be better. Definitely will be going back once the indoor dinning begins for a better experience. read more

Came here for an early Saturday brunch with friends and their little girl. What a beautiful spacious place with plenty of seating. The food portions were huge and delicious. Service was attentive and friendly. I tried the Eggs in Purgatory, which was a perfect blend of eggs, soft spinach, melted burrata in a tangy tomato sauce and served with toasted sourdough bread. Husband enjoyed the Steak Eggs Benedict. Friends ordered the Savory Crepe (filled with chicken topped with mushroom sauce) and Waffle Sandwich, which looked amazingly fluffy. Also got Truffle Mac and Cheese for their little girl, which we tried a few bites - yum. Would definitely return again. read more

I ordered French toast, the worst I've ever tasted. This is not French toast, this is just toasted bread. The bread is soaked in butter, not syrup. It will go to trash. I never wrote a review, but this toast ruined my morning: read more

I was very pleased with my experience here. I come to the area almost monthly, and have been dismayed by the lack of food choices. Add to this certain dietary needs, and the struggle is truly real. Entering Terra Cafe gave me hope. I'm avoiding gluten, so I was also pleased to see that there were options for me. I had the two eggs (I had scrambled), smoked salmon, potato pancakes and salad, and it was all very delicious. I was impressed that my server repeated my order back to me, as to make sure he got it right. It will become my go-to place when I'm in the area. read more

I've walked by here plenty of times and never thought to step inside until today when looking for a Sunday brunch place. Wow, what have I been missing out on?! As soon as I walked in, I fell in love with the decor and ambience. It is a very casual, relaxed, and chill environment. We were a party of 5 and were seated immediately. Our party also had some diet limitations as some of us are either on a low carb diet or on keto. Terra did not have any issues accommodating this at all. I ordered the lamb shank and asked to replace the wild rice with sautéed spinach, which they were able to do easily. The lamb shank portion was much bigger than I anticipated. It came with 2 giant pieces. The entree tasted amazing. The lamb melted away in my mouth as it fell off the bone with ease. The mushroom sauce complimented the lamb very well and I couldn't get enough of it. Needless to say, I completely cleaned the meat off the bones and my plate for that matter. I also tried the Eggs in Purgatory, and the Quinoa Salad. Both were good as well. Their marinara sauce that comes with the eggs is housemade, so it's quite unique. They give you a very generous portion of sautéed spinach as well. If you like overeasy eggs, and runny yolks, then this is great. If you don't, then you might want to ask the waiter if the eggs can be cooked more. The quinoa salad is another go-to option. The grilled chicken has a certain crisp to it that made the whole dish very appetizing. Interestingly, this is the also the first time I saw a 'Nutella Latte' so nutella lovers, rejoice. TLDR: I recommend the Lamb Shank, Eggs in Purgatory, and Quinoa Salad. read more

Came here for dessert with my friend and it was completely empty. We were trying to get the attention of someone in the kitchen. After a few minutes, someone came out. We wanted to order a crepe and had to repeat ourselves a couple times before he asked if it was to stay, that we should just sit down and order. So we sat down and the guy stayed by the counter and my friend just pretty much repeated himself and said ok so we'll have the crepe. The guy was super rude and not friendly at all. We also then ordered the Nutella latte and the guy pretty much rolled his eyes like if we were asking for too much. Finally the crepe came out and it was cold, definitely wasn't fresh which was upsetting. The latte was good and that's the only good thing I can say on this review. Oh and the price was cheap, you pay for what you get. read more
The food is absolutely amazing! The staff does need a little help when it comes to placing people at tables for covid, it would be better if they removed tables instead of just skipping them, this would avoid tables getting to close to another. The food is absolutely amazing though. I am not a big sweet tooth person and feared the French toast would be too much and it pleasantly was not overly sweet. The awesome came from the fruit as natural flavors. Cannot wait to go back read more

Hey I'm new to the area and looking for a place to have a Birthday dinner with a group of friends how's the food here?
This would be a good place for a group of about 10-20 people. Very diverse menu. I would even recommend it for brunch.
