Excellent customer service and a very positive experience overall. I called with a question about one of the dishes before ordering, the staff member was friendly, helpful, and accommodating. They generously included both the house sauce and sour cream as requested, and everything arrived carefully packaged and exactly as ordered. The menu has recently been updated and offers a lot of interesting choices. I tried the Zucchini Pancakes with lox and fresh avocado plus the Syrniki (Lightly sweet, pan-fried cheese cakes made primarily from farmer cheese or a dry cottage cheese.They're crispy and golden on the outside, soft and creamy on the inside, usually eaten for breakfast/brunch). I appreciated the quality of the ingredients and the attention to detail in the presentation. Everything was delicious. The fresh berries and tasty accompaniments were a nice touch. Most importantly, the restaurant was courteous, professional, and generous -- something that has become increasingly rare. This kitchen relies on high prices and fancy menu descriptions to hide bottom-tier execution, missing components, and completely lazy prep. * $24 Mushroom Risotto: Arrived ice cold. It was a tiny portion smeared across the bottom of a giant container, swimming in a weird, watery standing liquid. The advertised "parmesan crisps" and "exotic mushrooms" were nowhere to be found. What was in the dish were cheap, improperly prepped mushroom scraps that were so rubbery and unchewable I had to spit them out and put that mess where it belonged-garbage. * $18 Beetroot "Ravioli": A complete joke for $18. You get 5 paper-thin discs of cold beet with a microscopic smear of goat cheese and zero tarragon. No flavor, no substance, and zero value.  Paying $42 for cold, defective, inaccurate food is unacceptable. This restaurant is engaging in false advertising and serving awful quality trash. What an awesome brunch we had here today. We had crêpes with avocado and croissant Benedict with smoked salmon for our mains. Absolutely phenomenal and amongst the one of the best Benedicts I've had. For dessert we tried something new called Syrniki. This too was exceptional and very light. They were delicate little puffs filled with farmers cheese with light cream and cherry sauce on the side. Our Thursday evening at Terra (October 16, 2025) was absolutely wonderful. Despite being fully booked, the restaurant maintained a peaceful atmosphere. The setting strikes a perfect balance--refined and sophisticated without feeling stuffy, while the team creates an incredibly welcoming environment. Guillermo, the general manager, took excellent care of us. His recommendation to begin with beef tartare garnished with truffle and caviar was spot-on, and it paired beautifully with a glass of sparkling Cava. I chose the lobster soup while my husband enjoyed an impressive burger featuring pineapple chutney and truffle mayonnaise--both were outstanding. Still having room, I added the veal cheeks, which were melt-in-your-mouth tender and absolutely divine! We indulged in two desserts to cap off the meal. John, the wine director, provided wonderful descriptions of each dish--his passion and knowledge were captivating. While Guillermo had mentioned their talented mixologist Boris, we opted for cocktails instead of wine, and what a decision that was! I love this place. My sisters and I enjoy coming here to spend time together. It's a nice, quiet spot where you can actually have a conversation while enjoying delicious food. It's a cute lunch date place. I went with their pull pork Benedict and it is delicious! It does have a little kick of heat which I don't mind at all. They also put a good amount of pull pork. It also came with a side salad and home fries. For appetizer, for their braised meatball which I thought it was little on the dry end. Luckily, there was tomato sauce so it doesn't make it that dry. It comes with bread as well. I recommend their Nutella latte I love how much Nutella they put it in. They put Nutella around the rim on the cup and I mixed it all in my latte. I like my latte sweet. We love the drinks and the shrimp salad. The server was very nice. I prefer more sweet drink since it was hot in the day and asked his suggestion. He went to the bartender to consult the two selections I picked and explain to me the difference of them and also offer a third possible choice. On my way to a familiar restaurant on Sheepshead Bay Road in Brooklyn, I passed what looked like a very intimate and upscale restaurant, Terra. OMG .... no words. For me it was when the Benedict's changed to no longer being on an English Muffin that broke me. I'd order it at least once a bi-week and the first time it came on regular toast I chalked it up to running low on muffins. After the 6th order I realized this is no longer just a case of poor inventory control. No the english muffins were completely removed. It may seem like not much but when you have a benedict you need to account for the yolk that will make regular bread extremely soggy. Kind of upset at this place and how downhill it went. I used to come here so often during and before covid but the recent year I haven't been. Food has downgraded service was definitely downgraded. I tip highly because of the amazing service but now it's just mediocre. Food is alright. Portions changed and now they charge a 5$ service fee. Service fee ? I was in the area when I passed by all the greenery and decided to have some lunch in the cafe. The windows are all open so there's a lovely breeze and sunlight streaming into an otherwise dark restaurant. While we arrived with a party of 5, the cafe was fairly empty so we were seated immediately. We ordered calamari ($15) to start, and a spiked peach tea ($12) and a strawberry lemonade mimosa ($11). The drinks were fairly strong, but the calamari was a disaster. The breading was too thick and crunchy instead of being light and crispy, and it felt like I was eating onion rings with the egregious batter to squid ratio. I ordered the Almost Cuban ($19) with sweet potato fries, which was fairly decent. I couldn't taste much of the pulled pork, but I thought the fried chicken cutlet was done well, and the honey mustard and pickles added a delicious tang. The sweet potato fries were also crispy with a soft interior. I also tried the Tuscan shrimp ($21) which was very creamy and garlicky and sat atop a bed of strangely crunchy spinach. I'm not sure what was done to the spinach for it to give this texture but it was an interesting choice, to say the least. The penne alla vodka ($19) came in a generous portion, though the vodka sauce was a little too sweet and not very creamy. The BLT-E-A came with bacon, lettuce, tomato, two sunny side-up eggs, and avocado on sourdough. Perfunctory with a good choice in bread, but the side of fries it came with felt like it came from the bottom of the bag as they were all tiny little bits and ends. I did not try the Terra Burger ($18) but was told it was very juicy. Overall, I think the food was a hit or miss, but the staff were very nice so I will round up my rating. I recently came here for some brunch with my girlfriend. This place was very nice. We arrived early and got a table right away. The decor inside this restaurant was really cool. It had a nice chill vibe. The service was very great too. We decided to order a steak & eggs meal, as well as a skirt steak sandwich. Both meals were delicious. The steak was flavorful and cooked perfectly. The eggs were tasty. And we also enjoyed the potatoes and sweet potato fries. Actually, all the sides served with the meals complemented the dishes well. This restaurant is fabulous for dining in and delivery. Fresh, good quality ingredients. Breakfast options are delicious - eggs Benedicts are great, French toast is yummy, home fries are super tasty. Their dinner options are super good too. They also have never screwed up my deliveries and arrive super quick even though I am not in the immediate neighborhood. This place is a joke. A horrible place to spend a birthday brunch. After being seated today, 9/11/22, I ordered a latte that took 50 minutes to come. Yes, you read that correctly. I had to ask for it 3 times. I ordered a BLT crispy bacon and scrambled eggs. I sent the food back because the bacon wasn't crispy came back the same. Look at the picture, not scrambled eggs either. I was too hungry to wait for new eggs too. My friend ordered burger without tomato because she's ALLERGIC. You guessed it, tomato on her burger. Another order was for the eggs in purgatory, it had plain mozzarella not even burrata. Oh I forgot to mention--my blt had a HAIR in the spinach. We never were able to speak to the manager I'm guessing due to a language barrier. We spoke to our waiter and a young man. Their compensation for all of the mistakes was 6 dollars off of our order. They did not take the BLT off, instead charged us for two appetizers instead of my meal. Uprofessional, ridiculous and clearly cheap. Would be one stars if their creme brulee french didn't impress me. Possibly the best toast I've had so far! Thick, airy, packed with fruits, and the drizzle soaked into the bread and wasn't even that sweet. Loveee. However, my brunch item, a smoked salmon benedict, was a huge disappointment. I know smoked salmon is expensive. But I pay $11+ for a beautiful lox and cream cheese bagel literally anywhere else in the city and it's got at least (visually) 5 layers of lox. Or more. Here, I paid $14 for a teeny tiny spiral of lox, which I thought was a carrot rose at first. I die. Presentation wise, it looks great, but this is a little too stingy, no? Or am I supposed to believe this is the standard smoked salmon size for cafe/brunch food now? (Another note: we asked for ketchup/hot sauce with the fries, and the tiny cup was barely half filled. Again, stingy.) Then, for a benny, the hollandaise was non-existent and tasteless. Give them some love Sheepshead Bay! Not sure why Terra Café is always empty because after my recent trip there, I have to say that the food is legitimately good! For the last few years, I would always walk by Terra Café on Sheepshead Bay Road and notice how the restaurant was near empty, if not empty, every evening. It probably had and still has something to do with the fact that the most popular restaurant on the street, Mitoushi, is located right next door. However, I just couldn't ignore Terra any longer because it was one of the last few restaurants in the area that I still had not visited in my quest to try them all in the area. On a recent Sunday evening, I finally decided to give Terra a shot as I came here with some family members for a group dinner. To my surprise, and no disrespect to Terra, there was actually a large party inside dining. And, to an even greater surprise to me, an even larger party of 15 people came in after us, along with a few smaller groups. I was shocked that the restaurant was half full considering I rarely saw anyone dining here on a daily basis. Anyhow, we were seated promptly since there was plenty of space in the restaurant. We loved that the menu was so diverse and had so many selections that sounded good. It was actually hard to pick what we wanted for our entrees because there were multiple things we wanted to try from different sections of the menu. To begin our meal, we decided to share 4 appetizers amongst us: TRUFFLE MAC AND CHEESE - Amazingly delicious and fragrant. Even though the mac and cheese sat on the other side of our table, I could still smell the ever-addictive aroma of the truffle on top. The mac and cheese was super cheesy and was of the stovetop version, which I love. I prefer mac and cheeses that are smoother and "liquidty" more than baked mac and cheese, which tends to be on the drier side. It's an absolutely must-get appetizer. FRIED CALAMARI - Well-fried and good. Nothing about it will surprise you, but it's exactly how fried calamari should be. AVOCADO FRIES - I had never seen avocado fries before on any menu anywhere, but this was another must-order appetizer. Basically, it was fried slices of fresh avocado. To be honest it was GENIUS because it was such a simple appetizer, yet so good. If you love fried vegetables (ex: fried pickles, fried tomatoes), then you'll love this dish. SIBERIAN PELMENI - Your typical Russian dumpling served with caramelized onions and a side of sour cream. Solid, but nothing spectacular. If you're craving Russian dumplings, go for it, but if you're not, it's something that can be skipped. For our entrees, I was able to get a taste of my other family members' dishes, but I mostly ate and devoured my own: BEEF STROGANOFF - This was my entrée and it was good. There was a lot of sauce in the dish and there were small pieces of beef and mushrooms in it. To the side of the sauce was a serving of mashed potatoes, which mixed perfectly with the sauce. It was definitely very tasty and flavorful. My family members also ordered the following, but I only had small samples of them: BURRATA SALAD - Was a well put together arugula salad and decent. It looked light and had balsamic vinegar scattered over it. It was your typical salad entrée. STEAK AND FRITS - The skirt steak was a very thin, but long piece steak. Although we asked for medium rare, only half of it was, but it was still good. As my wife ate more and more of the steak from one side to the other, she noticed that it was more and more done. The frits were your run of the mill French fries, like the ones from McDonald's. ALMOST CUBAN SANDWICH - This sandwich was HUGE. I didn't get a chance to sample this, but as the description indicates, there is indeed a fried chicken cutlet in there. SPAGHETTI AND MEATBALLS - I didn't sample this dish either, but this was probably the biggest entrée on our table. There were 5 Tony's Di Napoli-sized meatballs in the dish and it was just massive overall. LAMB SHANK - Surprisingly, the lamb shank was only $13. I had a small sample of it and the lamb was pretty tender and covered in a white sauce. It was served with wild rice. The lamb was good. Honestly, we thought all of the food was excellent, especially the appetizers. We were really surprised how well made everything was considering the lack of customers at times. In addition, service was solid at the start with their 3 waiters, but began to slow down a lot as the restaurant became more crowded than they were probably used to. With all of this said, Terra definitely deserves more attention with their solid food, but I'm not sure if it will get it because of all of the other options on Sheepshead Bay Road. read more

I was expecting it to be grilled white meat, but instead it seemed like shredded thigh. Would not eat, or recommend. We also had a fried crispy chicken sandwich which was good. Got the Truffle Mac n Cheese and the Lamb Shank. The mac n cheese was like a waterfall. It was so watery that when I gave some to my boyfriend, he was slurping it up like soup. That was a huge disappointment. The lamb shank was okay. I definitely had better elsewhere. I did not like their rice since it was literally mush and had no structure. Service here is okay. I came on a Friday night and it was completely empty -- no surprise there. We had some guy take our order and then once he left the table, another guy came over to take our order again since he had no idea what his coworker was doing. What I got was literally potato chips. The amount of steak that goes on the plate was reduced and tasted like char. Clean the grill please. They also didnt toast the English muffin, so the entire thing was soggy. You have killed my favorite dish and now I'm scared to order anything else. I eat here like it's my house. I've been very secret about this restaurant because I wouldn't be able to handle the crowd if I one day pulled up and couldn't get a sear. But their food is beyond delicious for a "cafe". My go-to meal is the 3 egg omlete with the cookie waffle. One time, I had a lamb Shank on the side of my original breakfast meal and ate everything in one sitting. I haven't tried everything on the menu, but I will. 10/10 read more
