We came here after going for massages and facial at a nearby location. The place wasn't so busy, but there were a lot of people eating or enjoying hookah. The staff was friendly, but there was only one person taking orders and delivering food. I also didn't like that they put an automatic tip for two people and a credit card surcharge without any notice on the menu. We got a few drinks that came out fast. We ordered a falafel plate, mezze trio, margherita pizza, calamari fritti, and pot de creme. The falafel was nice and moist. It was delicious and tasty. The mezze trio came with a mix of dipping and a lot of pita bread. The pizza wasn't bad but it wasn't the best. I probably wouldn't get that again here. The pot de creme was very disappointing. It was given a fork and it was a thin layer of chocolate. The fork couldn't pick up anything. I did like that the fruits were sweet and tasted fresh. We came here for drinks. They have ample indoor and outdoor seating. Our waiters were friendly and great energy. Their cocktail menu had an awesome selection. I had the casa de mera. It was smoky, fruity, and the perfect amount of sweetness. I had a sip of several of the other signature cocktails which my friends ordered. All the drinks were strong and tasty. We also got a pitcher of rose sangria and asked for prosecco on top. It was tart and also very strong. It included fresh blueberries and strawberries. It was a little pricier than we were expecting, but still a decent deal. It served about a drink and a second splash for 5 people. We sat outside while it was raining. It's perfect for those nights where you want to have some entertainment with your dinner but don't want to do too much, not super turned up but not bland at all. Good for date nights. - Service/extras: I've gone for dinner each time and the waiter (forgot his name) is such a vibe, that alone makes the experience sooo good. There's a DJ on weekends and also seen belly dancers here before. The food was really good here. I had chicken kebab and my wife had falafel. Both were delicious, mine came with rice and salad which of course we split and they were tasty. They included pita which was nice and good. It is a bit weird for take out. They have a side door to pick up but then nothing or no one to attend to you. I did run into an employee who told me to go into kitchen to ask. A bit awkward, not unpleasant but I think it is better for everyone for customers not to go into kitchen. Mera was in my Yelp bucket list. We came, we ate, we danced and we did hookah. I made reservations in advance for 3. The hostess was extremely rude upon entering. She was so rude that my girlfriend was seated near her and she flipped her hair landing the end of her hair in my girlfriend's eye. Instantly she apologized but in my 20 plus years of dining I've never seen a hostess play in their hair so much (yuck) I kept my order simple with Mohit and Eddie the waiter- two drinks and truffle fries. My other friend had the lamb burger and it was a no thank you for her - smh! We enjoyed the drinks, appetizers, trufries, entertainment (belly dancer) and hookah more than the large plates. All in all it was full of college kids after 10pm but it wasn't a deal breaker only the food, flip hair, rude hostess and being asked to leave because we overstayed the 1.5 hr time for the table. Decided to support a local restaurant but left feeling disappointed and disrespected. We ordered our food through UberEats and my gf went to go pick it up. There was a party happening and she didnt know there was a back entrance for pickup orders. There was no hostess and only after a few minutes did a staff member appear behind the bar in which she was told to walk back outside and around to the back. The back entrance was not labeled and there was a sign on the floor that said to wait here for an attendant for valet parking. When she entered, again there was no staff member in sight. Finally a female staff member walks by to the kitchen but completely ignores her as if she wasnt there. She walked back out with some food and again pays no attention to her even after shes been standing there for a few minutes. She approached the staff member asking for our order only for the staff member to respond in the rudest tone to "go into the kitchen and ask for it". My gf did think she might have been on a break or something given the staff member dipped into the side room and was eating some food, but that is not how you should treat a customer or even just another person. I also never heard of having to go to the kitchen to pick up our own food. My gf finally picked up the food but left very upset. Now for the food... Overpriced and not worth it. Mushroom linguine (3/5) we ordered two since uber had a buy one get one deal. My gfs had no flavor while my was mildy flavorful. There also werent many mushrooms in her dish. It is a mushroom linguine afterall, how can there be a lack of mushrooms? Didnt taste too different than if we were to make it at home ourselves honestly, and we're no chefs! Mushroom croquette (4/5) probably our favorite dish as it was very crispy on the outside and creamy on the inside. It came with a side of truffle olive oil aioli which was good but didnt taste of truffle even though you can see the specs. Truffle beef sliders (3/5) patty was overcooked but otherwise okay. Nothing special. Also came with a side of truffle aioli. Other than the side aioli, there was nothing truffle about it. Its really just a regular slider with sauce on the side Overall, we DO NOT recommend this establishment and will NOT be coming back. If the staff member was that rude during the few seconds of interaction, i can only imagine the service or lack there of. Pooja was my bartender, she was awesome. She had great convo and made my sangrias from scratch, no batches. She did inform me that on Fridays and Saturdays there is a live dj. They have a pretty decent regular menu, and the happy hour menu is equally great. Oh I didnt have any hookah, but the hookah looked great. They are the real deal, standing about 3ft tall. It was my first time here and I opted to sit at the bar, while I waited for my best friend. I ordered the El matador, which was similar to a spicy margarita but also included rum, as well as the tequila. It was really good. We ended up ordering some apps to accompany our drinks. We tried the spiced meat balls, the crispy shrimp, a Caesar salad and a side of truffle Parma fries. Everything we ate was really tasty. I especially enjoyed the fries and the crispy shrimp. I felt like I was eating an old mattress. Lamb is not supposed to taste that way. The fries with the burger were bland as well. Zero seasoning. How do you skip seasoning on the fries? I asked for truffle park fries instead of regular ones, and I got the regular ones. Had to ask again. My fries were just barely sprinkled with low quality truffle oil and one shred of shaved parm, remaining tasteless. $18 mushroom pasta was the only good dish of our experience. Pasta was cooked Al dente and was perfectly chewy. Sauce was very rich and buttery. Good choice. This is from the website "Mera welcomes all ages throughout dinner time until 10pm". If all ages are welcomed here until 10pm, why is hookah being served at 4:30pm on a Saturday?!? It's not safe for children or people with health issues to be around the second hand smoke. The waiters didn't seem like they care. They offered to move our seats and give us a free drink. The waiter said this is a hookah bar and I saw that Yelp confirmed it but the Mera website didn't say shit about this. There was no sign in the restaurant saying hookah is used here. Came here today for a friends belated birthday, one of my friend came here not too long ago and raved about the food especially the truffle pizza and truffle sliders. I came with high expectations and was left dissapointed.. the food wasn't bad but it also wasn't amazing. I think the only dish I thought was really good was the mushroom croquette. The truffle slider literally had no truffle smell or taste to it neither did the truffle fries ...we had to ask them to send it back to add the truffle... like we weren't expecting shaved truffle but at least a fragrant or whaf of truffle smell to justify the "truffle fries" label. The waiter brought it back like a few min later and said he added truffle we had to sniff really hard to get a hint of it... still no truffle taste. The menu said a skirt steak with sunny side egg. The server asked whether how we wanted the steaks cooked, one person said medium the other medium rare. They're known to play great music (if you're Albanian, I'm sure you'll love it!) and it is definitely a lively place to be at night. The last time I was there was for a bridal brunch during the day on a Saturday. We had space to dance, a whole table ready for 20+ guests and a bartender that was always there when needed. Everyone agreed that the food was delicious and I noticed throughout the day that a lot of people came to pick up their pickup orders which means it's a popular delivery/pickup restaurant as well. They also have hookah which is an additional plus. Their hookahs have a metal top which if you're into hookah you'll know that this immediately means your hookah will last longer. She never brought water to the table 15 minutes later, my girlfriend arrived. First, and foremost is the decor and the arrangement or this venue. It was amazing, and bountiful with the drink from our server. I ordered the blueberry jewel. It's was blue berry, mint leaves with ginger beer and vodka. Very nice and smooth. The ginger beer resale made it a favorite for me. The vodka was hidden and made it feel like it was a regular drink. The mint was fresh and crisp m. The hookah "love 66", which was smooth and a nice hint of mint. This recommended by our server due to having a nasal congestion. The refilling of the coals were on point and the cleanliness of the hookah was impressive. I ordered the calamari fried hard, they needed cocktail sauce. Marina just doesn't do it for calamari.
