My friend and I loved our little pitstop at Sayra's which is off the beaten path of the boardwalk and amidst other food options on Beach 92. We took a peek on our way to the beach but they were closed. They open at 2 p.m. and we returned a few hours later. Although they're called Sayra's Wine Bar, their awning said Bier Garden. And what a sweet garden it was. On our way back from the beach and before dinner, my friend and I wanted to take advantage of their happy hour specials which runs until 7 p.m. They had beer, wine and cocktail specials but we craved an ice cold Bud Light (canned) for only $3.00. The waitress was very hospitable and left the menu with us in case we wanted some food. It was limited but included some nibbles such as cheese boards, hot dogs and grilled cheese. We passed on ordering food but I would try next time since some items looked quite good. In summary, we both thought Sayra's was an adorable find with a quaint indoor and patio atmosphere. I would definitely recommend and return again! .

This is a good wine date spot. You can get a cheese plate or a grill cheese I would recommend it. I like trying out their wine. Not many people come here so it is a good lowkey spot. Everyone are always nice and friendly

Lori N. took me to Sayra's after an afternoon at the beach. I love the backyard space. There's tons of space, and it's pleasantly decorated, with gravel, picnic tables, and seaside trinkets. Service was a bit spotty despite the fact that it wasn't very full on a Sunday afternoon. Also, the $2 chips were very, very, very close to being BBQ Lays. In fact, we're 99% sure they were Lays. (I'd love to be convinced otherwise.) Wine selection was tight and tasty. This new wine bar could be a cool hub of the neighborhood, as they have movies and maybe could host wine tastings or other events. I'll be excited to come back in a few weeks or so.

Rashida runs a beautiful space and from the moment I walked in she made me feel at home. She is a very warm person. She is also empathetic from what I can tell, which I really appreciated, because that quality is often missing in the hospitality industry. The mulled wine was delicious! There are great happy hour specials too. I had a grilled cheese with cheddar and jalapeños which was simply delightful :) The locals sitting at the bar were also very kind; Ray in particular struck up a conversation with me and that was really nice, as I am a shy person and don't open up easily. I will definitely be back! Thank you for the lovely evening

Love this place will always love it and the outside is just super lit!!! Theres full control of your music. Menu needs more food but everything is perfect for a first time date or a wind down.

Mulled Wine. Excellently done, very tasty.

This place is great, and I have had nothing but good experiences here the several times that my Wife and I have visited. Our bartender was the same woman each of the three times we were in. She was consistently friendly, helpful, and attentive. Drinks were excellent, food was very tasty, and everything was served in reasonable time. Two of the times we have been in were quiet and we sat at the bar. The third of our visits was significantly more busy; we sat at a table with another couple and the service/quality was consistent. Personally, I like this place a lot. I do, however, understand some of the complaints. For those who are particular, a few things to be aware of: This place is very small. Like, hole-in-the-wall small. There is a very cute patio out back, but even that is limited and weather-permitting. If you come in any group larger than 2 at a busy time, there is a very good chance there will be no room for you. Also, the "kitchen" is a tiny little station on the end of the bar with a little cooler, cutting board, a frying pan atop a single gas burner, and a crock pot. It is kind-of adorable, but by no means efficient and practical. At peak times, it is easily overwhelmed and brings wait times up. Furthermore, the portions are small, and the food is not cheap. They don't really serve meals or snacks as much as they serve "bites." And I'm not exaggerating here, these portions are very small. If you are starving and you want to get full, be prepared to order the whole menu twice over. All that said, the food has been consistently very flavorful, the drinks have been spot on, and I have not experienced the service issues that others on here have reported. I enjoy a tiny little intimate place with dim-light and comfy decor. That's exactly what you get here and I don't get the impression that they are interested in anything else. What this place does, they do very well and they will continue to have my patronage. If this is the kind of spot you're looking for, I can't give any other place in the Rockaways a better recommendation.

They're the ultimate hosts -- warm, welcoming, and genuinely lovely people. The food was fantastic from start to finish. We began with perfectly tender fried calamari served with a delicious tomato sauce. The baked clams were excellent, swimming in a buttery garlic olive oil that was perfect for dipping their homemade bread. The thin-crust pizza had a lovely sweet tomato sauce and high-quality mozzarella. The meatballs were tender and flavorful -- the meat tasted like prime beef. For our mains, both the chicken parmesan and chicken francese were outstanding, and the side of penne alla vodka was rich and excellent. We tried nearly every dessert on the menu and they were all delicious. The wine list is reasonably priced, and we enjoyed a lovely bottle with dinner. Best of all, the service was spectacular. We came with a group of 12, and with only one waitress(some addditional staff as well), she handled our entire table like a pro -- fast, efficient, and incredibly attentive the whole night. Rocco's is a true neighborhood gem. We can't wait to return and highly recommend it to everyone

So I looked up wine bars and boom - VintEdge was right down the street. I came in around 9pm, picked a comfy seat by the window, and ordered. Can you believe I had never had an espresso martini until that evening?? So my first was a pumpkin espresso martini. Well I may have had 2. And another drink. Ahem. The service was great, not fussy, and I wasn't rushed even as we approached last call. Visit 2: having heard about my great experience there alone, my cousin arranged to meet me there last week. Or so she thought. Through a series of mutual miscommunications, I was here at the crib waiting for her, while she was at the wine bar waiting for me. Then we moved on to the seafood risotto which was the most toothsome risotto made with Japanese rice - seafood broth - and a mound of fresh red shrimp, razor clams, scallops hint of chili and a bit of mint. Perfection The charred white asparagus with sable fish with Shiro miso and green garlic was a complete surprise - delicious. Another superstar was the soft egg sitting in a sea of blue crab meat - in a brown butter garam salt bath. Served with a crusty baguette that we used to lap up all the amazingly tasty sauce. Unique - unsurpassed in flavor. We ending the savory courses with a lovely steelhead trout surrounded by thinly sliced fresh asparagus and fava beans with this basil and almond. The bread is like a toasted baguette cut into 4 triangles topped with piquillo salsa, arugula and jamon. Pretty good, I was surpised there wasn't pan con tomato but it was still enjoyable. This is a bit more on the acidic side so if you don't like things too tangy - might not be for you. Patatas bravas, classic with aioli and bravas sauce. Shisito peppers blistered, a bit of finishing salt and lemon. Garlic shrimp was cooked well, personally I'd like a bit more garlic in mine and some bread to mop would be nice but still tasty. Plancha burger was definitely our favorite. It's a blend of wagyu sirloin and chorizo, so it's very juicy with a nice smokiness. Very pleasantly surprised and definitely will be back to try some other things.
