This was a bit of a sight for sore eyes since we didn't even know where we'd be able to have a bite in Olympic Village, pretty much all of the commercial spots still sit vacant (presumably until more people move into the surrounding buildings). The space is modern, the food is good, the prices are a bit expensive for what you're getting and I agree that if the place is busy it can feel pretty cramped, but I can't blame them for charging a premium as there's no competition in the area. Definitely a welcome addition to the neighbourhood. read more

Wow Terra breads, you are packed! Great bakery with lots of baked goods, breads and snack food, Terra Breads has some great welcoming staff when you walk in. By far my favorite thing is their pizza! Its a little bit pricey but what you do get a fresh tasting super delicious pizza! The best bread is their rosemary. Especially when its fresh. Just spread some butter on that bad boy and you're in heaven! OH and they do a pretty mean coffee too. I always get the latte when I go there and it never disappoints. Freshly made with steamed milk, just the right thing to wake you up for a Sunday afternoon stroll around the sea wall! It is a little busy since it is located along the sea wall, but its kinda understandable with the nice outdoor seating! read more

The bread tastes so good. Period. I had a gourmet vegetarian sandwich which had some of the most flavourful bread I've ever tasted. It's not a cheap sandwich (about $8) but it was a good one. Service was friendly but not quick. Servers and cooks were swamped with orders, and in a frenzy. To their credit, they changed my order with a smile despite their frenzy. The sandwich took much longer than expected, and there wasn't really a convenient spot to wait around, resulting in us awkwardly standing around amongst a hectic crowd. read more

So happy this local shop opened up in my neighbourhood... Me and the wifey had a little coffee break/snack on our way home from a walk, and this hit the spot nicely. It was a Sunday afternoon, and the place was CRAZY busy... but still, got served and all in a nice timely fashion. Simply for the view, it's outstanding, False Creek and the mountains. In the summer, those patio tables are at a premium. Even inside, which is huge btw, they cleverly built the floor to ceiling glass. As such, it does get pretty noisy & echo-ey so it's a good vibe if you want the action/ambience. Tried their cinnamon brioche bun, while not as deleesh as the Gooey ones, it's passable, like the crustier edges. No Amex. free street parking all around, though they do have their own parking lot somewhere close by. read more

Amazing selection for baked goodies! Sandwiches are all tasty. The environment is fabulous although it can get quite packed in the morning and on weekends. They have heated outside patio so you can bring your furry friend along with you. Staff are friendly; however, they may get your order wrong/miss something when they are busy. Make sure you double check the order before paying. The missing star is due to them missing a part of my order a few times. I believe Terra is a great choice if you wanted to have a coffee break in Olympic Village area. Excited to visit the newest addition to Terra Breads. Great looking shop with very nice decor and lighting. The food and coffee was excellent and consistent with their other locations. Full of families with young kids which is quite refreshing for a coffee shop/bakery. One small fault though, the expresso station appears to be far too small for what will likely be large volumes as people enjoy the warmer weather and sunshine. read more

Recently went there for breakfast. They have a nice outdoor patio and staff. Their baked goods are amazing. From breads to take home to delicious snacks to eat while there. However, their coffee and other drinks aren't as amazing. My wife had the coffee and wasn't impressed. I had the hot chocolate and found it very watered down and not very chocolate-ly at all. My wife said they made it by hand but it really tasted like something made by a machine with powder. Wouldn't recommend the drinks but the snacks are amazing. read more

Best bakery in Vancouver. And, there aee many excellent ones to be sure. And this spot has a fabulous view along the seawall, with very very high ceilings. Decent coffee. Bread is unrivalled in Vancouver. Try the fig and anise bread, the grape foccaccia and the rustic peach and rosemary tarts. Never get tired of these brilliant items. Pizza also really good. They also have yummy dry local cider to go with a sandwich. The grilled cheese with house made ketchup is top notch! read more

The only reason I'm not giving them 5 stars is because of how crowded it gets and how difficult it can be to maneuver with a stroller. Otherwise this place is pretty perfect. I've been frequenting TerraBreads in Olympic Village for a few years now and have always had such a great experience. The staff are always so friendly and really make an effort to connect. It is always packed with people, the food is always tasty and their coffee is surprisingly wonderful! Their granola and baked products are good but their coffee is not. I've had a few burnt tasting americanos here and this morning I got a very poorly made cappuccino (it was not a cappuccino). I'm used to paying higher prices for good fresh coffee made properly, but theirs is overpriced and not good... The building itself is beautiful but this location is disorganized and the staff are not very friendly. They give customers a number to take to their table so staff can identify where to deliver the food and drinks, but they only deliver half of the stuff and leave the other half on the counter for you to pick up when it's ready... I'm happy to wait by the counter for my drink to be ready, but if that is the system then don't give me a number for my table and tell me it will be delivered. read more

Best sandwiches, best avocado toasts, best coffees, best service. I live extremely close by and have been coming here for 3 years, quite regularly. I LOVE this place. They have never let me down, and have never screwed up an order, ever. In fact I'm shocked I haven't left a review sooner. There is no nicer place to sit with a coffee and pastry on a sunny day in Olympic Village. The staff is amazing and super professional, and the food is always so fresh. maybe it's just me, but i prefer my pastries / bread to be super buttery... but for some reason everything at terra breads just tasted too healthy. we came by around 10 am on a thursday to enjoy a late breakfast. i got the ham and cheese croissant, which tasted too healthy for words. no grease came out of the croissant despite the meat and cheese. after devouring the ham and cheese croissant left me yearning for more, so i went back and got the cinnamon bun (?). also. super. healthy. everything kinda tasted too dry for my taste as well... but overall a great place to hang out. i love the open air patio and space of the bakery. but because of the open air the pastries were also sitting in open air, inviting plenty of summer insects... all i know is, i'm glad i didn't get sick :) read more

I stopped by this location for lunch with my friends. I ordered breakfast panini and chai. Taste was fine for quick bite. This location is always busy. What is the worst experience we've ever had at this location was they forgot our order to bring even we already paid and had waiting number on our table. Then what they said to us, " we cannot find the information in the tills but we can make them for you." They talked us like we never ordered! They made us guilty instead we were expecting apologies. How disappointed and we lost our appetite....food are okay, a couple staff do not have good customer service, we will never go back this place, probably any locations. It was nightmare. I like Terra Breads, and I like this location but do yourself a favor and don't order a coffee. It takes FORRREEEVVVVVVER to get it and often they get it wrong. We stop in here all the time, and I am consistently disappointed with the line and the service. Please tell management to train their staff before they throw them to the lions. We ordered muffin and bread to stay, and 2 lattes(one with soy) to go. We got the bread to stay the muffin to go and 2 soy lattes to stay. Honestly it took them at least 15 minutes to finally get it right. Terrible. But I'm still glad you're here (sigh). read more

I would give it more stars if they didn't waste so much unsold bread and sandwitches!!!! I am not going to say which branch does this because I have "gold mine" that I don't to get out to the public, but on one hand I love finding free delicious bread (sealed in bags) that either a charity couldn't pick up or who knows why..but on the other hand I find it is horrible to waste such perfectly good bakery products just because everyone is paranoid over a law-suite (if they just put a bag out on the street which they should instead of throwing it away!!) in the extremely rare scenario that someone will get sick and have the audacity to sue! I am asking the staff to not do this so often. If there is a lot of stuff left over why can't you just take some of it yourselves and give to your friends? (or are there stupid rules even preventing you from doing this? if so I'd say "eff that" and do it later when nobody is looking) read more

My favorite neighborhood cafe! Staff is super friendly, and their pastries are to die for (pain au chocolat!!)... Only down side is that they are busy ALL the time. They are kid friendly which is great, but good luck finding room for a stroller, chances are there are already 10+ inside hehe...
