A terrifying billing nightmare--you're never actually done paying, and the pests are never gone! I subscribed for months and was stood up multiple times--technicians often missed the scheduled time window. One tech was decent, but most were unprofessional. Even after nearly a year, I still have silverfish issues. They advertise quarterly service, but nothing happens unless you schedule it yourself. I never received a full professional inspection of my home; they only came when I personally found pests and called. One technician didn't show up at all and falsely marked the visit as completed in their system. I canceled before the quarter ended and confirmed with both customer service and finance that I owed nothing. Months later, I received a bill anyway, which they claimed was undisputable due to their billing cycle. This feels misleading and never-ending. I would not recommend this service. read more

I am leaving this review on behalf of my mother, a senior citizen in Mount Vernon, WA. This Termnix office is the closest to where she received service. Working with Terminix has been an absolute nightmare for her. Not only did they not get rid of her rodent problem months ago, she has had trouble getting them to cancel service upon her request. Furthermore, she has received assurances that she would be refunded her statement balance multiple times. However, recently, she received a collections notice. After their service manager, Shane, contacted me to assure me he would take care of this matter, he never followed up. This is absolutely unacceptable and predatory. Avoid at all costs. read more

February 14, 2025 I called Terminex scheduled service at the $38.88 per month for quarterly service. I advised that I'd review documents with technician on site. February 17, 2025, a technician performed inspection and treatment and then left. No documents were reviewed or signed. On March 17, 2025, I received notice that $61.06 had been charged to my card. I immediately called Terminex regarding the incorrect charge. I was told that the price for my service was $54.00. I had a copy oof the website advertisement regarding package price of $38.88 and $99.00 special for initial service. The agent refused to recognize the price agreed to for service. I had paid the $99.00 for initial service at the time of the first visit. I talked to 16+ agents: 3/17; 3/19; 3/20 (a manager would call within 24 to 72 hours); 3/26 at 6:52 am (manager could not determine time difference) (3/26 was 5 calls and a voice mail); 3/31; 4/2 (3 calls to main)(2 calls to complaint line; disconnected after 22 minutes); 4/4 (Michael said he would send me a copy of signed paperwork - told him to send nonexistent paperwork)(Michael asked if I wanted to cancel contract - he transferred me to James)(James canceled my contract - but would not give me a confirmation number; cancelation confirmation to be emailed). On April 19, 2025, I got a "Sorry To See You Go". And on April 21, 2025, email statement for $104.94 and mailed statement received. 3 calls to Terminex - manager would call 24 to 72 hours. Called 5/5 and was told that I owed nothing and to ignore the statement received. I asked for email confirmation but received nothing. And to make matters worse - initial treatment made a dent in ant problem and sure could have used the follow up quarterly treatment. But I don't deal with dishonest businesses. read more

It is extremely annoying how this pest control business scheduled, not one, but two appointments to provide a multi-point home inspection for rodent/termite activity. Both times they never showed up, never called, nothing. Unless you enjoy waiting around all day for a promised appointment, it's best to avoid this company. Had an inspection appointment with a window of 8:00 AM to 12:00PM. At 12:30 I called to see when and if they still planned on coming. They told me they were running behind, and it would be about half an hour. An hour later I called again. They said they were still behind, and the tech would call. At 2:30 Pm after no call from anyone I called another local pest control service to schedule an appointment for them to do the job. Unreliable, bogus and conflicting answers when you call. Horrible experience. Booked an appointment for an inspection, for 3-5pm. I planned my day around it, leaving work early, making sure they can get to the attic. Then I get a text at 3:30pm saying "Won't be coming today, they overbooked me, call center doesn't know my schedule". I expressed my frustration and they didn't even apologize. I called them at 1:22pm to see if I could get a time frame for when their representative would show up. The gal put me on hold and then came back stating she could not get ahold of Dejion but that she would have him call me. I had my phone in my hand for this 2 hour period so that I wouldn't miss them. Then, again, called for an update at 2:30 and again put on hold. This person came back stating, again, she could not get ahold of him but that he tried to call me. ??? I informed her I have had my phone in my hand and there is no way I would have missed the call. Her reply...ahhhh. Never hired this company. They are a bunch of thieves and crooks running a scam. They did an inspection while I was out of the country and lied to my daughter about having bed bugs in the house, they charged her $2,000 for a treatment and a maintenance, they did a completely unnecessary treatment, and no maintenance. Then they repeatedly lied to her about refunding her the money they stole for a scam service and a follow up they did not provided. Had An appointment scheduled for Saturday, 7 September between 10 and 12. Nobody showed up and nobody called or texted to say they weren't coming. I called the office and they proceeded to tell me that the appointment had been rescheduled without my knowledge to Monday between five and 5:30 PM. Mon came and went with no call no text and a no-show again from Terminex. I've been using Terminix since 2015, but as you can see from multiple recent reviews there is a problem with management and custom service now. I don't know if it's just the manager of this area in Bothell WA, as I was told the local manager was left several messages and emails on our behalf, and he has yet to reach out since we requested that the technician come back to complete the job back in August. I made multiple attempts to resolve this as I understand that mistakes happen and wanted to give them a chance to make it right. Anyone who works in customer service understands that a call plus having someone come back out would have resolved this. Now I have asked to be refunded the charges for service not completely performed, but I was told the manager keeps denying my request ( if this is a franchise maybe he needs the money). Not sure why he won't simply call us as maybe there is a justification why they think we should pay. Anyway... Terrible, awful customer service!!! I have been trying to deal with this company for over 2 months for my father's service. The rants could go on~ NEVER have I been able to speak to someone when I call, EVER. A recording saying they are unavailable and will attempt to call back once (not always). The request for interior service was not done, the exterior redone without request, no show appointment, request for appointment 2 weeks in advance, unable to book "too far out". Many attempts to even correct the spelling of our last name on the billing. All to the tune of nearly $500 for 4xs a year service which has not been done properly! We are very dissatisfied with the current service we are getting from Terminix. We pay them yearly to make sure termites are not back. The yearly fees goes up every year which is fine but not really sure anymore what we are paying for. The reason I say this is because we have not had termite inspection for two years now due to technicians not showing up for our scheduled appointments or customer service not scheduling appointments as agreed upon, whether it be by mistake or some other reason or another. To top it off, we work and we have to take vacations on the days the technician is suppose to come to inspect our house. It is very inconvenient for them not to show up on those 4 hours of time frame given to us. We lose valuable time and money. At the same time, since our crawlspace is in the closet, we have to clean out half the closet for them to get entrance into the crawlspace. So, we prepare for that as well before they come. It is a hassle for them not to show up and not keep us updated on the appointments. At least they can do is call saying they will not be able to show up on the schedules time and set-up another appointment for us that is more convenient. Don't you think that's fair and the least they can do? We use to be happy with their service but for the last three years they have not done a good job at all and they just expect us to pay their yearly fees for nothing. Really really bad service. The last time a technician came which was 3 years ago, he seems he does not care and he just kept saying everything looks good and walk around the premises for 10 minutes. Had an inspector come out for a suspected problem, once he arrived I showed him what we had found and he ended the inspection at that point and immediately signed us up for a treatment at the cost of $2,000. Tech arrived a couple weeks later, and asked me to show where the infestation began. As I was showing him I explained to him the inspection process that occurred. He apologized and said he was going to perform an actual inspection before starting. He found nothing. He was obviously irritated, as he had a very full schedule and had the inspector done an actual inspection he wouldn't have even been there wasting mine and his time. The tech suggested calling and telling the local managers what had happened. I called, but you can't be connected directly with them, they have to call back, which they never did. Called customer service to report my problem and spoke with a senior customer service manager. He reached out to the local managers asking them to call. Again they never did. Reached back out to the customer service manager who went to the district manager asking him to call, again no response. The last attempt was when he reached out to the Vice President of Operations, who I assumed would respond, I assumed wrong. Ended up canceling all services with Termini, if they won't take the time to follow up on dissatisfied customers they obviously don't care for anything but the income. Two months after canceling my service I received an automated email expressing their sadness with my choice to discontinue my service and hope I will choose their service again in the future. While they do what their service should and prevent pest problems, they are more interested in getting money out of your pocket and into theirs than providing professional customer based service. read more

I just spoke with seriously the rudest most unhelpful customer service person I have ever encountered from this company. I have an ongoing account with Terminex. Today we were attacked by by some aggressive Baldfaced hornets in my front yard and found a large hornets nest close to the house. So I called Terminex (whom I pay for ongoing service with which includes hornet nest removal) to make an appointment. apparently I should think again, the woman was rude, condescending, she literally shouted at me. She oscillated on the phone between saying she had an appointment available in 11 days and "nothing is available right now please call back at a later date and time". This person clearly had no idea how to use their scheduling system, and not only no people skills but she was just rude and horrid. I hired Terminix to help with squirrels in the attic. The solution that they provided including sealing the house and placing one way trap caused multiple new holes to appear. It was difficult to reach Terminix to come back, and after patching the holes again multiple new holes appeared in the house. After this- I requested a refund because their solution was worsening the problem however they denied the request noting that service was already provided. Since then I hired a different company who has taken care of the squirrels. Although the technician that Terminix sent was friendly, I do not think that Terminix was prepared to handle certain situations such as squirrels. Their ads that they promise a 100% satisfaction or your money back is false as I placed multiple calls to complain of their solution. read more

I own a two flat building and used Rose Pest control (local chicago company) for several years. Decided to give Terminix a try after some research.... Turned out to be a horrible mistake. The first technician didn't show up only to find out that he quit the day of my service. No one bothered to follow up or reschedule with me. The regional manager Tom personally called me and profusely apologized and sent out another technician. I wanted to cancel my service and get a refund but he was insistent to please give them another try. One month later it was fine as I left keys in my lockbox and they reset rat baits. Easy enough. Called to schedule an appointment for a technician to come in and do some rodent control in the basement of my building and my apartments. The only other time someone has physically showing up was after my initial service for the person quit and never showed up only to get a replacement three days later. I had appointment confirmed for January 4. Low and behold no one shows up AGAIN and customer service tells me it was a mistake. It is now going on five days and I have been waiting for a phone call or response from management to no avail. I also emailed the corporate office as they suggested to go through the website. Again, no response. I then tried to cancel my service and get a refund because of no service and was told that I need to put this in writing through the website. Use a local pest control company and don't give this conglomerate your money.Thankfully, I have contacted my credit card company to dispute the charges. When the person who came to perform an inspection finished inspecting he told me the price for the actual treatment would be around $180 for one treatment, and that if additional treatment was needed during their three-month window, they would come and treat the space again. I trusted his word and decided a few days later to call and schedule a treatment visit. When I got on the phone to do this I would describe my situation to one person, then that person would transfer me without communicating to the person I was being transferred to any of the information I had already shared so I had to share again, at length, about my situation. Then it happened again, and again. This wasn't the only annoying thing. When I finally got a hold of the person who I think manages the local Terminix office, or maybe she just schedules treatment visits, but she spoke as if she was annoyed I was speaking to her in the first place. Arrogance and lack of patience were evident, and her answers seemed as if she was trying to start a verbal argument. I took a few breaths so as to not engage in petty commentary and explained to her my situation once again and she proceeded to tell me a different story altogether. Turns out the only treatment they could perform is if you agree to an annual service where they come every three months if necessary after the first visit and spray, to spray more. It was around $200 just for the first visit and around $180 every three months. When I asked her to review the notes the inspector might have left so that I could get a hold of the inspector and have a three-way phone call with him and her in hopes to have clarification around pricing she simply replied: "that's not gonna happen". When I asked to talk to a supervisor, she gave the same reply. Her attitude and the false information being spread by the man who came to do the inspection were the reason I told her I was not going to spend my money on their services. read more

They seem to do a good job. Customer service is good when we call and the associate coming to the home has always been polite, professional and knowledgeable. The one time we needed extra help in between regularly scheduled visits, they came out right away and took care of the spider problem and a wasp nest. We have had the same associate coming this year - which has been so great! Nice to have consistency and he really knows the problem areas now and has given thoughtful suggestions here and there. I don't find myself having to repeat or re-tour a new associate every month or two, which is nice. Consistency and professionalism. We don't have nearly the same issues neighbors nearby do and I think it's due to regular maintenance visits. Happy to say spiders are better, insects are better and we haven't seen any rodents (besides cute little squirrels,) in years. I also like that their techniques preserve some of the "healthy" balance in the yard. Even though we have regular maintenance for insects, the treatment seems to only effect them. We still have lots of healthy squirrels, frogs, birds and even bunnies in the yard. I think that says something about their eco-friendliness. It's specific, which we appreciate. Wish the service was less expensive- but that's the only thing that makes me hesitant to renew each year. read more

1. In April 2022; I needed basic service for pest in my home; a service I usually get with Terminix without any contracts tied to it and I am able to cancel as soon as I need to. 2. Salesman used sneaky, dishonest sales pitch in which I unknowingly signed up for a bundle CONTRACT/AGREEMENT that had fees associated with for cancelling. I would never knowingly sign up for a contract (especially with fees associated) since I knew I would only occupy the home for 1 month; then rent or sell. 3. 7-11-22: Manager George Morteriday stated he would do everything possible to send my request to his regional manager to cancel the contract without cancelation fees.  4. 7-14-22: Manager George retracts his early statement to cancel the contract without fees; citing "he didnt know" their company specifications and he basically inference its my word againt his saleman, Audre word. read more

We literally came to Terminex after Orkin never called us back, and Terminex was just as bad. The initial set up rep was awesome! She was nice and informative and got us an appointment next day, then the branch manager called and said their Monroe guy ouldnt do that day and apologized and gave us the next available appointment, he was nice and everything was great! Tuesday rolls around and i take the day off work for this, and the technician for the inspection doesnt show up so we call them and they try to contact the technician and cant, then I call back an hour later and they guve us Denis's number and we call him, no answer. So now all day every other hour im trying to figure out whats going on and they tell me a manager is going to call, never get a call from the manager, so I call back and they say they will rush my priority and he will call within the hour, NO CALL. called this morning to cancel. KHALID is very personable, easy to talk to, answered all questions, clearly explained\educated us and is clearly knowledgeable. Everyone was very impressed and we all looked forward to working with him. Final total bill $109.15.  2nd visit: - Total nightmare Fail! CHRISTOPHER MONTOYA came out for the 2nd visit on 6/9/22. I received an unexpected text saying "I will be there tomorrow between 3 and 5". He didn't ask to schedule an appointment, just said he was coming. (not OK with me). I texted back asking who he was, I told him that it's NOT ok to just proclaim you will be  entering someone's property. However, I did need someone to come inside the house and check for spiders and ants so I told him I could take time off of work and meet him there at his proposed appointment (between 3 and 5). He arrived 3 hours early with no prior notice. DID NOT announce himself. He entered the property, scared the occupants. Then called me saying the service was done and he was leaving (even though we didn't go in the house like we discussed the day before) . He didn't even remember the texts we had which CLEARLY stated we were having issues inside the house and I wanted him to check for spiders and ants. He said he talks to " Thousands of people a day" (we all know that's impossible) and didn't remember our texts. I told him he couldn't enter the house until the previously agreed scheduled appointment time (between 3 to 5). He said he couldn't come back at the previously agreed time, wanted me to reschedule (take another 1/2 day off from work) either next week or "maybe" tomorrow. even though he arrived outside the agreed window. This was all happening around noon. Three hours BEFORE he was supposed to be there., I told him that is NOT OK! and if that's how you run your business we are not interested in your services. He then agreed to come back during the scheduled time (between 3 to 5). He said he would be there at 3 SHARP. Yeah, guess what? he was 20 minutes late! (surprise). I let him in. He was visibly unhappy that he had to keep his scheduled  appointment. He was abrupt with the occupants pounding his fists on the counter. I was in a meeting on lone and My kid daughter who was dealing with him had to come and get me to deal with him. He told us several times there was nothing he could do about our unwanted pests. He said several times "it is what it is". He was clearly not knowledgeable and spent most of the time on the phone with "someone". He also took the floor vents off didn't put them back on. When he left he didn't even bother to close the gate that he opened when he arrived.. Additionally He did not fill out his online report at all, there's no pictures, no descriptions of any work that he said he did.. I am not sure he even sprayed around the house at all, I went and looked, I couldn't tell. Besides all that He overcharged us. His bill was $150 as opposed to the amount I paid for the last visit ($100)  And finally I chatted with customer support the day after they said they would give me a $49 discount (basically making it the same as my last bill) but as of today that still hasn't happened. I don't really consider that a discount. At this point it was a unanimous (house vote) decision to dissolve any further interactions with Terminix. I am still waiting for them to adjust my bill for that awful substandard service per our previous chat. In Closing: There is no reason to lower service level and increase the cost by %50 We are VERY dissatisfied. This is hands down the worst service visit we have ever had. read more

Terminix is a DONT USE COMPANY! We had a 8am to noon window for one of the pest control techs to show up. No show and no call! So we contacted the customer service number. They informed us the tech is running late and will contact us asap....called back 2 hours later to see what is happening. I explained the situation, no call from the tech and we are still waiting. The customer service rep raised his voice at me saying he has done everything he can do! The tech isn't responding! Thank you for calling terminix! Wow. These people are AWFUL. I canceled my subscription but a guy came over anyway, rang the doorbell, and drove away and then they tried charging me $150 for it. The CS agent I spoke with on the phone was extremely rude and told me "Well then I guess you should have been there when we came," even after I told her I had canceled. Fast forward several months and they submit my claim to the credit union. Wow. Seriously? You guys are awful, no wonder your reviews are the worst I've ever seen. Run! Their products don't work, and they steal from their customers! I had them come out, when I tried to cancel the service because it didn't work, they said that I had to have two attempts in order to get my money back. They came out the second time and still nothing. Had McCoy Pest Control come out, and the problem was resolved. I wish I could do zero stars. long story short, I have a rash and called for a free bedbug consult. The technician actually told me lint was a dead nymph AND not only do we need bed bug treatment but fleas as well bc he wasn't sure (after seeing the bed bug?) oh and the reason there was zero other evidence of bed bugs was I caught it too soon. After ripping the bed, box spring, and baseboards apart and finding nothing, I called my dermatologist. I HAVE POSION IVY. I am a new customer and it's my first time calling a pest control. I met with Howard Aimes, who came out to survey the house and educated me about his observations. He's thorough of the procedures to ensure I understand what to expect when the technician arrive as well as the contract. I am pleased with his service. He was amiable and knowledgeable. Final update! Terminix just completed the second part of the process of spraying the exterior and the interior of the house by Christopher Moss. He was 15 minutes early. He was very professional and congenial. Someone had suggested that I obtain services from Orkin, but I refuted the advice, because the process was smooth and affordable. Yay! read more

Terrible customer service! I booked a service with them and then quickly found another company who could come sooner. It took me 5 minutes to book, but 2.5 hours to cancel!!!!! I was put on hold for a total of 1.5 hours, had dropped calls, rude customer service people, and then never received my requested confirmation of cancellation. The pending charge is still on my banking account. I am not convinced they even cancelled my appointment or that they will remove the pending charge of over $300.00!! Not a single person I spoke with, even when first scheduling, was polite. When trying to cancel, I spoke with at least 7 people. None of whom said they were able to help me and transferred me to the cancellation department - which meant a total of 1.5 hours on hold just to cancel. Horrible, horrible experience and a huge waste of my time. Significantly more expensive than the other place that could come sooner and was exceptionally polite. read more

I've been using these guys for almost 10 years now. When I bought my house, the previous owners had almost a year left on their contract, which they had pre-paid, so I stuck with it as essentially a free (to me) service for that first year. The techs have always shown up on time, and are always very thorough and very courteous. They're very well-informed on the chemical compounds and other methods they use. They're actually better resources for Q&A than the folks on the phone--they have the training and the practical experience. I have a ton of respect for the companies that do this kind of work all organically, but my neighborhood is very hilly and heavily wooded, and there are tons of places where bugs and rodents can multiply. Many of my neighbors grumble about ongoing issues, but these guys have done a pretty good job of keeping my place fully clean. Ants have been a bad problem the last couple summers, and my half-baked attempts to control them have made the problem worse; their techs come out for unlimited free visits (since I have an annual contract) and make sure to take care of it. I've always felt comfortable having them inside my home when I'm there, or on the property when the house is empty. They've gladly worked in the crawl space when asked, and have always been thorough in tending to the yard and the exterior of the house. They're not cheap--about $35/month for an annual contract. But the work they do is work I have very little desire to do myself, and I'm glad they take care of it. read more

Another service that deserves a ZERO. Apartment management hired these folks for simple fruit flies (without fruit present to cause infestation). I requested to know what was being used due to allergies/migraines, and all I got was a note that said everything was "very safe." Obviously, this person doesn't understand odors, chemicals, allergies or migraines. Although the flies had begun to circle the death traps left, the smell was awful for someone with sensitivities. A full blown migraine followed shortly after returning home. Now, 2 days later, only a few flies are going to death traps. The others are playing as normal. I think they did get it right that the problem is in the bldg drain system. Thanks to a knowledgeable relative I have now put plain bleach into each drain. I am hoping to resolve the problem of the flies while the management company can pay a needless bill to Terminex. read more

My husband and I signed a contract with Terminix, on 2/26/20. The contract was for termite treatment, and the amount was $1,052. We were advised, by the Sales rep-Joe Hampton, that we could make installments of $99 until the balance was paid, and that we would need to pay $99 down that day to cover February's payment. We paid $99 on 02/26/20, and our credit card was charged $99 from 03/20-01/21. I called Terminix on 1/25/21 to inquire why we were still being charged, and to request a refund for the difference of $136. We made 12 payments of $99. The agent, Vanessa advised me that he wasn't sure but the payment that was drafted on 1/26/21 would be our last payment. I informed her that I would like to speak to the Service Rep for a further explanation. No one called. I called back again to request a callback. On 1/27/21, Chris called me and explained that the $99 that we paid on 2/26/20 was for materials and wasn't applied towards our balance. I explained to him that wasn't what our sales rep advised us or Vanessa. He informed me that Vanessa should've known this and that I still had 1 more month to make a $63 payment, and if I didn't pay it he would send me to the collection agency. I advised him that I disagreed and to cancel my account after January and remove my credit card information, which Vanessa stated that she removed on 1/26. On 1/28/21, I was scheduled to have my rent house treated. Instead, I received ab email stating that my Terminix account was canceled. I called in and got Vanessa who informed me that my account shouldn't have been billed again for the $63.25, and that if I was charged for January, I should've received my treatment on 1/28/2021. My point, exactly. Not only was I charged for January, but I also didn't receive service, and my credit card was charged $63.25 by the jerk, Chris. He was rude, yelled at me and sounded like an abusive person and a racist. I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and disputed the charges with my credit card company. My advice to you, if you do business with this entity tape all conversations and watch your credit card. They illegally charged my card for what would've been a February payment, per Chris, on 1/28/21. Even though my service was canceled in January. And, they still wanted to charge me $29 per month for a warranty that I already paid $1052 for service for. read more

RUN do NOT waste your time and money. Horrible experience. Their baiting system does NOT work and they do not stand behind the product. I paid for a yearly service plan and can never get a timely appointment. Tried calling over 10 different phone numbers and get to the same place!! I am now looking to take them to small claims court. read more

I used Terminex for a few years now..most of their employees act like they do not care...I never seen any treatment outside on the ground and I seen lots of cobwebs hanging on my carport I took photos and sent them after the exterminator left ...very unprofessional..I did have one that really did a good job but she moved to a different area,,,DO NOT USE ....their customer service needs work read more

Bought my house a year ago, and supposedly terminex was still under warranty. Every time you find termite damage, they will tell you that it's another kind of termite and it's not covered. You can pay alot more and they might treat for it though. read more
