There was some big animal noises from the attic and we thought it was racoon and after checking options I really liked their website https://www.kingwildlifeservices.com/ and decided to call them. My impression is that they are professional and can handle all the animal issues plus cleaning and repair work and the reviews here sound pretty good.
I called King for inspection late May and told them it's a two storey house. I was told that they had miscommunication and Devin came to the house without a tall ladder so he couldn't inspect properly on the exterior. I am away and couldn't be there and I was told that Devin throw in a male racoon scented ball into the attic and left quickly. We thought that Devin would be back with a tall ladder to complete the inspection and repair work so I emailed the contact a couple times to ask what the damages are and what Devin would suggest to do. each time I got a reply that she was checking with Devin to reply on the damage and repair options. Then we had new animal noises and almost a month later she said that Devin didn't see any visible damage and I should contact a contractor to quote for the repair. Also was told that Devin doesn't have the ability to really inspect the house even with a tall ladder.
I just had a pest control guy at the house to check on the animal issues. He went up the roof and found a big hole at chimney/roof joint. The house roof is about 30degree slope which I believe is very common. I suppose if you have a similar house it's better not to use kings service as they are not equipped or experienced enough to deal with it.
I'm very very disappointed. not so much that Devin couldn't inspect the house properly but the way the communications carried out. initially I asked in the phone call and email on how repair could be like, what kind of repair cost could range and never got a clear answer(this should've been the warning to stay away), and after Devins visit, all I had was "will check with Devin to see if it's something he can repair" until 4weeks later being told that Devin couldn't really inspect the house properly, even with the ladder. Now I had to pay extra for the pest guy who at least found the entry point, and have to find someone else to fix it.
To Devin, if you are reading this I would strongly recommend some kind of logging system for working notes and customer support, also better tracking of communications, as well as being upfront on what you can or cannot do. There were miscommunications but you are the professional here, and you are responsible for the work you do. read more
