Here we go again!! Every year for the last 25 years, Terminix on their own pucks THEIR DATE, THEIR TIME with no consult with me, the customer. I AM DUE IN AUGUST, but here we go again, 4 MONTHS EARLY. I COMPLAIN EVERY YEAR BUT TERMINIX, with no care of their customers just blows you off. Then they say we will just do the outside! NO DARN WAY!! I have had several infestations. They care nothing about your house and critters, they just care about getting $$ FOUR MONTHS EARLY!! Just a few years ago an inspector came to my house and did the inspection. I don't know what prompted me, but I checked my watch. I was blown away when this EXPERT finished in 8 MINUTES. Again 8 MINUTES!! It is a two story house with previous infestations. 8 MINUTES. He left, I called Terminix to get this guys supervisor. THIS 8 MINUTE WONDER WAS THE MANAGER!!!!! I should have cancelled that day.. I truly thought Terminix actually looked at my file and my resistance on inspections 4 months early. Obviously they do not. A manager is going to call. Can't wait. Probably my last contact with this greedy do nothing company. UPDATE: 8/10/20 They insist on sending bills months BEFORE scheduled service. I just tried calling Terminix to reconfirm my appointment on 8/13/20. Took 2 hours to talk to someone. Yes, she did reconfirm it. She spent the majority of the call time to give her my credit card for next year. I said after my successful inspection in 3 days AND I DECIDE TO CONTINUE, would be happy to put a check in the mail. The agent said it takes 3-4 WEEKS FOR A LETTER. Really? Just another annoying attempt trying to get $$ early, even before it is due. I brought up the 25 year battle with them sending me bills 6 months early. "It is the computer". So tired of that excuse. If you cannot control you're computer, how in the world will you protect me against termites? The agent I work with has not returned my call or text. She sounds like a very nice employee, and understands the relentless Billings we consumers get. Their CEO left a nice recorded message when I called in how they go all out for us customers. After 20 minutes waiting, was told a telephone answering problem and hung up. This is Terminix!! read more

If it were possible to award negative stars, I would do it in a heartbeat. Also, -5 stars would not be enough to adequately document their poor customer service. Under no circumstances should you use this service. I have been lied to and jerked around by this company for a considerable amount of time. Every time I call, I get a different answer. I am in the middle of selling my home. My realtor called Terminix and found out the termite bond I had with them is not transferable. This was a shock to me. I called them and they told me that they do transfer the termite bonds. While in the process of getting this straightened out, they will not call me back. Over and over they fail to perform any sort of customer service. On another note, I also had the Sentricon system for the house. They jacked up the price considerably year after year stating some unknown study that the termite activity was increasing. I now see it for what it is. It is a money grabbing operation. They inflate their prices to get more money out of you. They also will not transfer the termite bond which causes the new house owners to spend more money to get the same bond. On top of all that, when you call their customer service, they transfer you directly to a voicemail system asking you to leave a message and they will call you back in 24 hours. Guess what, they do not. Save yourself the heartache. Utilize a reputable local company or a better national brand. If that is not possible, go to Home Depot or Lowes and get pest control solutions there and do it yourself. It would be much better in the long run. read more

Getting terminix for Rat exclusion and quarterly sprays was such a waste of money. They have the worse customer service I have ever encountered. With the rat exclusion we were supposed to be able to call them and they would come out ASAP to get rid of a rat if one is caught. Well we called them and they set up a time they would come the next day so my husband took off work to wait for them and they never showed. We called and called and could not get them out there for weeks. I complained and asked to speak to the branch manager (Dallas, TX), and they ensured me that he would call me within 1-2 business days and I never received a call. We finished out year contract for quarterly sprays so we tried to call and cancel but did not get ahold of anyone and then they showed up and sprayed and charged us without our authorization. We had our back gate zip-tied shut to make sure our dogs do not open it and the guy cut the ziptie. When we got ahold of him to tell him we did not want him to spray and that we tried to call and cancel and have already had another company spray last week, he said I could call corporate to see if I can get refunded for the service. I called and they stated that they could not refund me for the service and I asked to speak to the branch manager and they stated they would have him call me in 1-2 business days. I asked if I would actually receive a call this time because I have been told this before and never received a call. They insured me that I would be contacted. I have still yet to receive a call and it have been 2 weeks. This is horrible horrible service and I do not recommend them to anyone. (Update as of today): we got a call from Terminix because of a review I left on Terminix website and the lady asked if we wanted to cancel our pest control exclusion services. We were told when we signed up that we had a two year warranty- the lady who just called told us we were about to get charged this month of a yearly renewal fee if we don't cancel and that it was only a one year warranty associated. We were not aware of this or we would not have paid $1200 for this service. We have called and called to get people out to our house to see about more pests in the attic and also about rats we caught and cannot get anyone out to us for weeks. We still hear things in the walls and attic but Terminix has never "found" anything. read more

Do not use Terminix. Not only do they NEVER show up when scheduled (I'm not just talking about hours, I'm talking days), their customer service is joke. They also make canceling your contract ridiculously difficult, so it's best just not to start one with them. Honestly, find another company. read more

Without a doubt, this is the worst company I have ever dealt with. They charge full price even when they skp parts of their service. They damaged our crawl space entry and never offered to fix it at their expense. We had to hire the two guys Terminix recommended to fix it and we paid them directly. If you ask for a change in service personnel, they will try to get you to use the one you are unhappy with until they finally give in. If the service person is good, they leave the company. Terminix canceled my service without telling me because I would not let them in the house during the Covid breakout. The kept my prepaid balance after they canceled me. I am thrilled Terminix is no longer a part of my life! read more

Still waiting to hear from a manager. It's been 7 business days. I've spoken to customer service three separate occasions but no one will call me back to address my issue. I canceled my service in writing 4 days prior to a technician coming out to my residence. No warning, no text notification. Tech just showed up.I was shocked to see a bill in my inbox. I always request an indoor treatment for spiders. But tech never called me. Additionally, I am not sure what the technician did as one of the services is to sweep up cobwebs around the front and rear doors. Charged $150, no one will call me back and I am super frustrated. I emailed the company PRIOR to them coming out and now I can't get in touch with anyone. Ironically, 1 hour after I waste 20 mins on hold at the call center, an automated call comes through asking about their customer service. What a joke. Worst customer service experience. We had an inspection set up from 10 AM to Noon. Multiple calls were made and after the 4th phone call they realized the person expected to come to the house was not on the schedule today. They had a supervisor by the name of Berry, probably more useless than the representatives and after two calls to him, he didn't apologize and stated that they were doing us a favor by showing up to the appointment. They finally came out weeks later only to spray outside instead of inside where they were supposed to. You can never reach a supervisor, only call center reps that don't do anything. Do not do business with this company. They did not fulfill the service we hired them for which was to get rid of sugar ants in the kitchen. When we asked for them to come back they did not show up and the agreed time and the issue was still not fixed. After 4 plus messages that were not returned by some manager we asked for a refund. The technicians I have dealt with are awesome, but the people on the phone are not. I'm on a fixed income and the prices keep skyrocketing. I called the main office and they said they would cut me a deal and only apply half of the increase for 2022. I got my bill this month and the increase didn't change, even though they said it would be in half. I wonder if the person was really taking to there "supervisor," or just put me on hold and was told to give me a bs story. Seems this is how things are ran nowadays! I also have gone through three techs in two years. That seems to be a sign that you treat your technician like garbage, but the CEO probably needs that new yacht! read more

These guys are awful. Had an appointment scheduled hit a week ago. They don't show up and don't communicate anything. I call and they promise to get me scheduled. Nothing. I call again and they promise again, still nothing. I've had an ant problem for two weeks and they still aren't coming. I'm a paid subscriber and this is how they treat me. I don't know why they have so many bad reviews, my experience has been very pleasant so far. We contacted Terminex after finding mice droppings in our garage. They were very responsive when we contacted them and came right away to our home. Ash our technician was detailed and thorough. He texted and called us the day before to confirm our appointment and texted and called us morning of for confirmation. When we had to make a last minute change, he was accommodating and came in the afternoon. After signing up for their services, he came back within a day or two to set up the traps and helped us get another quote for cleanup and re-insulating the attic and crawl space. They were able to find the root of the problem which was the crawl space had a opening to the outside so mice were able to come in. I'm in the process of getting a few quotes but so far, their price seems reasonable. Will update in future if they helped get rid of the mice. read more

DO NOT TRUST!!! I paid them for a termite service as that is what they told me my problem was. The tech that came out told me he 'didn't even think I had termites', but did the traps anyway. I continued to have wood damage from ANTS. They charged me in advance for the renewal (which I didn't agree to). I had to cancel my credit card so that they would stop trying to charge me. I have been trying to cancel and get my money back for 18months! They came and got their traps in June, which the tech told me were 'untouched'. They tell me every time I call that they will have someone from the 'local office' get back to me. I have not had one return call.. EVER! read more

It's ridiculous that appointments are made for service, I take off from work and no one shows. This has happened several times. Today my appointment was for 10 to 12p.m. I received a call at 10:30 telling me that service was cancelled because the tech was sick. When I asked why I wasn't called earlier since I had taken off work, the representative told me she had too much work and had called me as soon as she could. I cancelled my service agreement. When I called back to speak to a customer service manager, there was no record of a call cancelling the service appointment and the person couldn't get ahold of anyone at the Bothell location. I called and made an appointment for a service as soon as possible. I had a mouse chewing through electrical wires in my cabinetry. I got set up for the soonest appointment to days later, the technician was a no-show. I called into the one 800 number and got rescheduled for the following morning for a 8 AM - 12 PM window. Again, the technician was a no-show. I called in to customer service AGAIN to see if I could have someone out that afternoon and they said they couldn't reach anyone at my local branch. I asked to have someone contact me about another appointment time, I have been waiting for 5 hours.... this is legit the worst customer service. read more

The worst customer service imaginable. Local office never returns calls. They now do only ONE inspection a year for termites, the rest of the year you are on your own. They told me to call them if I see termites swarming. After several years of dealing with them had to cancel contract. After going back and forth with them, finally spoke to a regional manager who approved a 50% refund, that was on December 19th. I called Terminex for some mice issue. Appt line schedules me for Monday 8-10am. At 10am I call appt line stating no one called me or came out to do an inspection. Agent says will call technician. Technician doesn't answer and they let me know he isn't answering. Branch manager then calls me and says technician equipment has failed and he is not able to access any client information (i get it things happen) and that he would personally come the next day instead-to which i agree. Next day comes and branch manager does come-looks through the house and gives us a quote of 1500. We agree and is told someone will be contacting us to schedule within 1-2 days. Friday rolls around-no calls to make an appointment. I attempt to call branch manager who assured me that if there were any issues he would assist us. I leave a voice-mail for him and no response. Calls branch manager again next day and left another voicemail which I again got no response. I then call the company directly and tell them that no one has contacted me for next step and yet I have a pending charge. Company states that an appt was for Sunday-i stated no one called me and that I was not pleased with the fact that I had to call 3 times to follow up on all the issues that were happening by myself (wait times were long too) and that I no longer want to do business with them anymore. Terminex is not professional and I will not be recommending anyone to this business. 9/7/21: Giving it 2 stars instead of 1 now as company has removed pending fee since customer service was able to get this taken care of so fast. read more

I was a 12+ year customer, and am a highly patient person for a service that I am paying for and used to be acceptable - I like to think the company will correct the mistakes. The last 4 months have been unbelievable, and we finally cancelled our service. Terminix's call center experience, and policies actually make Comcast seem like a 5 star experience. Terminix has no way to escalate an issue to a manager (other than a branch escalation, where it seems to go to a black hole). I've been asking for the Regional Manager over the Bothell branch for months to call me, and everyone has told me that is not possible -- - that the Regional Manager does not work directly with customers. I was a Terminix customer from about 2006 to 2015, when I terminated my service due to their outrageous failure to provide service. I was originally a customer of a smaller local pest control business, and was very happy with their service - but at some stage, Terminix bought them out. I continued my services, right up until I bought security cameras for my house. After that, I was able to watch what these Terminix staff did on my property - a guy got out of the truck, sprayed a line of pest repellent along the street side of my house, then got in his truck and drove away. Total elapsed visit - less than a minute. Naturally I called to complain, and was eventually given the contact details of this person's supervisor, who would call me. Of course they never did. If the company you rely on hires staff who cheat you - well, everyone makes mistakes. If the supervisor, whose job it is to ensure service and manage staff doesn't even have the courage or professionalism to return a complaint call - stay away from the company. read more

Called and scheduled a followup appointment to take care of what should have been taken care of the first time. Terminex rescheduled the appointment without notifying me of the change. I waited around for my scheduled window and called when no one showed up. Whoops the customer agent said, wish I could say "whoops" at my job. I asked for another appointment a d she told me she would send a rewuest to the local branch and they would contact me, which tbey never did. We had used Terminix for rodent control for several years and were good clients on hiatus as our rodent problem was under control. I called Thursday morning at 9am as my kitchen had an ant invasion and I needed immediate service as we were preparing for guests from Europe that evening. I explained how urgent it was to get this new pest issue under control. They assured me a local person would call that dat or early Friday. I was provided the local business' direct number and called and was reconnected to the national answering service. I reiterated the urgency. Friday, 4pm, I call Terminix and they have cancelled my service call. Apparently, our pest control previously was from longer than 12 months ago and I was in the queue for clients so they deleted me without calling or sending service. I then asked for some sort of service, NOW! They said they need to send an inspector THEN schedule service. The earliest inspection available was next week, Tuesday afternoon! I cancelled the service call and phone Orkin at 5pm Friday afternoon. Orkin scheduled me for full SERVICE tomorrow (Saturday) morning at 8am, understanding the need to get these ants out of my kitchen and home. I wish I read these reviews before calling Terminix. I went with a big company for my house since I thought I would be safe, have accountability, and not be charged inappropriately. I was wrong! I was charged $400 without my authorization when the plan I signed up for was $99. I've spent so much time calling the local and national agents - and they are avoiding me. A smaller Mom & Pop would've been better - and would've saved me time. The technician who came out here was kind but clearly he authorized the $400 charge so that's not useful. read more

I request an online quote. They called within 5 minutes which I really liked. We set up an appointment for a free termite inspection. They told me they will come between 10:00am and 12:00pm on Tuesday. I took a day off just to wait for them. I called around 11:00am and got a confirmation that someone will be coming for the inspection. At 12:15 I called again, they told me that they cannot reach the person who is supposed to come for the inspection. They wanted to reschedule it for another day which I did not accept. This is not what I expected from a big well known company as Terminix. I will definitely go with another company. read more

This company has the worst customer service ever... Customer for 6 years and to get hold of anyone is nearly grr impossible... Yearly inspections are worthless.. In 6 years only 1 tech went into the attic or went on the roof... Repairs made for termite damage were not complete..still waiting for someone to call me 5 months later... Recently they made a billing error and suspended my service... Not one manager would ever call me to help with a mistake on their side.. Took 46 calls in two weeks to get the issue resolved but I still have to wait for service until it goes through their billing system... Run don't walk from this company... Oh and get this... Their phone system gives an option 1 & 2... Don't press existing customer if you are one.. They won't have time for you and put you on a call back from someone who won't be able to help you.. From the very first interaction with the technician I knew I was in good hands. Dean was the absolute best. His professionalism, and subject matter expertise was beyond reproach. I have been struggling with a bed bug problem for a while a now. I moved and finally thought the bugs were gone but started getting bites again. I called terminix and was hopeful that since I was the one directly working with the pest control company I'd actually be able to eradicate this problem. The person who did the consultation and inspection seemed very knowledgeable and and reassuring and I had no reason to doubt that they could resolve the situation. I wouldn't have spent over $1000 otherwise. It's a lot of money but it paled in comparison to the idea of getting a good nights rest in a bug free bed. I had some interception traps on the legs of my bed and the inspector said they'd be replaced with the ones terminix uses along with putting new bed bug casings on my mattress and box spring. Two people (other than the one who did the inspection) came for the first visit. After the first treatment (which they arrived a day early for with 20 min notification making me rush to get ready and find something to do for the 5 hours I needed to be out of my house) the did put on the casings but did not replace the traps under my bed. I found this odd because the inspector made a big deal about how theirs were effective and they dont know where the traps I had came from so they'd rather be safe and use their own tested equipment. I called and they said they'd replace them on their next inspection. The email I received detailing the first inspection said they didn't find anything. On the second visit only one of the two people from before came. They did not bring traps and said mine were fine. Did a quick once over and just told me to wash my bedding again. I told him I was still getting bites, he dismissed that. I found out through pestering him for more information that they in fact did find a bug on their first visit and didn't tell me or document it. After he left I called terminix again to complain about the traps not being put down and about they lying if their emails about what they found. They said the same, they'd do another visit and bring the traps. Third visit. Same person as the second. Still no traps. Same lackluster inspection that lasted less than 5 min. Dismissed the bites and blood spots on my bed that I showed him. Declared me bug free. I'm still getting bites. All over my back and even on my face and neck. I'm at my wits end and feel stupid for ever trusting terminix. They basically stole my money and did nothing. I don't even know if I should trust another company. I know home remedies don't work and it just feels like I'll have to accept that I have bed bugs forever and I'll just have horrible painful bites all the time. I will never recommend them.
