Pick this one! I called yesterday, yes, yesterday, for help with yellow jackets. We are hosting an event at our house on Friday, and I was desperate for help. Guess what? They came through! From the gal who answered my call to the tech who showed up at my door today, they were amazing! AND... They didn't try to gouge me. They know what they are doing and can explain it, so I do, too. They are careful with my pets and my property. Their customer service skills rock! Their prices are more than fair. They solved my issue - quickly, efficiently, and thoroughly. Not to mention, they are a family-owned, local business, so they actually have a vested interest in making me happy! How cool is that? YAY! read more

I thought I had carpenter ants but it turns out the wood damage was unrelated and he was very transparent and didn't push anything I didn't need. Very pushy door-to-door salesman tactics. Rep came knocking late into the evening and insisted on going through his whole spiel. I tried to be polite and tell him we're not interested but he just plowed on with his corny fake-folksy schtick. At some point, you just need to be rude to get the 'no' across. To any potential customers; read the other reviews. Mixed at best. Also know that they will bother every other person in your vicinity no matter the time of day and they will give your name as justification for why they're bothering said neighbors. I'd recommend not giving a business that use these disrespectful tactics any money. read more

We had Cascade Pest Control come out for an inspection after hearing scratching noises in our crawl space. A team came out went in attic set a trap. Went into crawlspace set six mouse traps. They said we had a void/crack under the outside of our propane fireplace where the foundation met the siding. We sealed the void. Scratching noises continued. Cascade came back out said all six traps under house had mice caught and re set the traps. This cost several hundred dollars. Shortly after we discovered when we were going to put in a new dryer vent cover that our siding around our dryer vent was rotted and the foundation under it had voids big enough for mice to enter. We replaced all siding, even went under house and routed dryer hose and vent to outside correctly to prevent future problems, sealed all voids. We were surprised their inspection did not report the rot and voids. Fast forward to the future. We started hearing scratching in the crawlspace again. We took a flashlight and a mirror and walked the perimeter of our home. We found 4 places, voids where the foundation meets the siding where mice could enter crawlspace. These voids were not new but obvious pre-existing since the home was built. Luckily we are physically able and knowledgeable to be able to seal all of these voids ourselves. The point is the inspection and a a few mice caught in traps were a very expensive waste of money. When I think of people that sign up for the maintenance when the problem is not solved I feel for them. read more

I am not sure about the quality of their service, but be aware when they try to sell you recurrent service. I ask them to pause the service through email before the due date, but somehow they still came and charged me. They claimed that since I did not reply the question "how long I want the service to be pause", so the service cannot be paused. read more

I have been using these guys of about 20 years. The company is good and I really like that they try to use products that are more environmentally friendly. The best part of Cascade is the technicians. Our tech, Gil, is just fabulous. Very knowledgeable, helpful, friendly...can't say enough good things about him. Prior to Gil we had a tech who has since retired, Michael, and he was fabulous, too. I would and have highly recommend them. read more

We had them out to clean up wasp nests and were considering one of their service plans. I called in advance and was quoted 185-285 and made it clear we had about 8 nests under the eaves some of them very large. They made it clear the first visit did not include nest removal just treatment. They arrived and suddenly said would be $185/nest! They definitely didn't not make that clear on the phone when I called them (twice!). That's a massive difference from what we had been quoted. We had them treat one (our largest one by the front door). Then said no to the rest. Then they sent us a service bill which did not match what was quoted on site (or on the phone when I called the office regarding the house vs per nest policy). The next week a different company came out treated and removed all the nests as well as treated for other insects for just $180. Really disappointed in the "bait" and "switch" by this company as well as them randomly changing the price on us. That is not ok. We will never use them again. The technician was very nice. The issue is whether their fees match their quotes (phone and on site) and they definitely have an issue there. read more

Used them for a while. They switched me to electronic billing without my consent. The bill came from an entity with an entirely different name so I assumed it was fraud. Then they called me angry about payment. I have a good credit rating but I definitely don't pay things from entities I don't recognize. In any case, once it was clarified I paid them. But then they couldn't find the payment so I had to send them proof from my bank. It seems like they should be bearing responsibility for this. I definitely don't feel like a valued customer. Cascade Pest was INCREDIBLE to work with. Karen worked with me over the phone to obtain photos and gain insight on the wasp nest we had found in our skylight. She took great care in working with me and the team to determine the type of wasp/insect, what to do and not do at the time of our call, and then get the appointment scheduled as soon as possible. Once the technician was at our home, they went right to work clearing out the nest safely and checking other areas to ensure nests had not been built inside or outside of our home. The technician was incredibly thorough and friendly, and we felt great about the final result. They even made recommendations on how to prevent it from happening again and advised on appropriate timelines. We have already gone ahead with their recommendations and were able to complete them ourselves. When we were up on the roof to do that, we were able to also see the successful work that Cascade completed. We would definitely use them again based on our experience. Thanks! read more

Cascade may be fine at typical pest control, but I went with them specifically because they said they also do non-lethal pest control. They don't. (or at least not very well) I wasted a lot of money on nothing. read more

Michelle, Cascade Pest Control technician, has serviced my home for years. She does an awesome job in communicating and responding to questions and concerns. I've had freak-outs (wondering if a beetle was a roach or a spider was a brown recluse) and in each case, she responded quickly and professionally. On several occasions I've interacted with the administrative staff at Cascade. The customer support has always been great. I'll be moving from my current home within the next year. I will miss having a technician I know and trust servicing my home. For sure, I will be reaching out to Cascade for service in the future. read more

We invited the Cascade Pest Control to help us deal with the squirrel scratching noise we heard in attic/gutter area. They came, charged us $1000 for inspection, putting a trap and closing the space. Expensive? Yes, but we thought it's better to get a professional help before we get any pest damage. Not even 2 weeks later, the noise started again. 4 weeks later, there is a major hole in whatever mesh patch they had put there. When I called to ask 1) why the treatment they recommended failed so soon after they installed it, and 2) what do they recommend us to do, they simply said "Start over again". When I asked for clarification if they will do something different and/or if we will get some discount given that their original work didn't last even a couple of months, they said "No discounts, you have to pay full fee again". What a rip-off!!! Paying $1000 to deal with a squirrel was excessive. Requesting another $1000 to fix botched job is beyond preposterous. Now I've wasted $1000, have a worst pest issue than I had a couple of months ago AND I need to find another pest control company! What a disappointment. We bought an old farmhouse surrounded by green belts, and the previous homeowners used Cascade Pest Control to manage insects/vermin. We retained them and have received the best service I could have imagined. Gil (the senior tech) is always prompt, friendly, and gets the job done while walking me through what he found/what he's preventing. So we had a really BAD smell this morning that smelled like death at the end of our hallway in the guest room. I called Cascade Pest and Joseph came right out- Praise God! He went around up into the attic and found two dead rats and happily disposed of them for me. He also used deoderizer to rid the residual smell from the house. He also went around the entire exterior of the house and on the roof found and sealed all the openings he could find, including caulking a knot in the wood WAY up high in the north end of the house that was near the roofline. He didnt charge any extra for those sealing jobs.Total including tax was around $350 for a. 2175 sq ft house. I would definitely recommend them. There was no push for any kind of maintenance plan either like we have had from a Terminex and other folks. Thanks Cascade Pest! read more

Hi- really nice and respectful guy that came out and he seemed like he knew what he was doing. We were surprised later to find that in the four attic openings on our top floor, he only put the traps about six inches inside each opening. We had expected them to crawl back and put the traps further in, closer to the sounds we were hearing in the ceiling/walls. I get that there's a possibility of falling through but that's part of being really careful at this type of job I would think. My husband has crawled through a few times. At any rate, after a week or two he came back and no rat was caught and he couldn't find any visible area outside where they were getting in. So my husband crawled back in the attic space where we heard the sounds and in the corner and could easily see daylight coming through in a decent size hole, and a rat trail with droppings. When we went outside to our top deck to the very corner on our tip toes, we could see the roughed up edge and the dirty area where the rats were getting in. We wouldn't have noticed it from the outside if we hadn't have seen it on the inside and knew where to look. we had a kill free trap on hand and fixed it to the outside of the hole area with a bungee cord on top of a pergola beam. First night we caught one. We'll see if we catch more and then we'll block the hole ourselves. The $320 we paid for the guy to come out, walk around our house and easily open up four doors to simply place traps in and come back two weeks later seemed like a lot. read more

Unlike some others places I called, they answered the phone and set an appointment. Technician was actually a little early. We had some yellow-jackets nest in an area near our attic. She examined the area, explained what she was doing, and took care of the problem. I found the price reasonable and they haven't come back. Ive had ant issues in my home and attempted baiting them myself for quite sometime. I eventually called Cascade for a treatment. They used standard terro liquid bait that I had been using and when I mentioned I had been using it previously, the tech mentioned, "the terro bait works when placed in high travelled areas" Essentially I payed close to 400 dollars to have someone set some liquid traps down and spray insecticide around the perimeter of my home, the same process I had been following. Ant activity never changed, they don't plan on offering any sort of warranty on "work" they performed less than 3 weeks ago, and they want me to pay a monthly service fee for something I can do in 5 minutes.. Do yourself a favor and do it yourself for any ant issues you have, or look for a company that will work with you, not against you. read more

We called Cascade because they had taken care of a rat problem next door. We thought that they would know exactly what to do about ours since both houses were build by the same home builder. We were right, the knew exactly where to look. They did the job, but their billing practices seemed somewhat unfair, especially to seniors. They did not offer a discount, but so be it! They said that the evaluation, which did not include pictures of the problems, was supposed to include inspection of both the craw space and the attic. But because of Corvid-19 we elected to not let them to enter the house and crawl around up stairs. The price for this inspection was $320, but they did not give us credit for the fact that they were only doing half the work. They came up with the needed work plan, and of course the recommendation to have them come out every other month. We just went with the basic plan to do the necessary work, which they quoted to be their standard $325 service. Much to our shock, when they came back they only worked on our craw space for 20-minutes and charged us the whole amount! IT WOULD BE WISE TO SHOP AROUND FOR A COMPANY THAT CHARGES LESS OR THEIR CHARGES REFLECT THE WORK THAT NEEDS TO BE DONE, NOT STANDARD LUMP SUMS. read more

We've used this company for 3+ years. Our rat problem hasn't gotten better, but it hasn't gotten worse. We are on the bi-monthly service plan. They have no way to bill you electronically, or for you to pay on line. Recently, their paper bill was lost in the mail, I never received it. Instead of calling, or sending an additional bill, they just canceled our next service. Then they did call, threatening to send us to collections if we didn't pay within 5 days, and suggested we come in to their offices to pay in person. Needless to say, the bill has now been paid. However, this seemed aggressive and extreme for a customer that hasn't had a late payment in 3 years. I didn't appreciate this treatment, canceled my service and found a service I am much happier with. read more

Extremely frustrating experience. Contacted Cascade to get an inspection and quote for removal of and sealing against rodent activity in our attic. The woman that took my call wanted to charge over $300 for an initial visit. She could or would not explain what we would get for that payment beyond having some traps set. Nothing about setting up a plan to check the traps or to seal the space. They haven't even seen the job, proposed a scope of work or treatment plan, yet want to charge to come take a look at it. I have no problem paying a fair price for a product or service, but I insist on knowing what it is that you propose to do so I can decide whether or not to do business with your company. I want to know what I'm getting before being charged for it! read more

I have a rodent problem. My year with Terminix only made it worse. For a year all they did was collect money. Bob from Cascade was a blessing. He was thorough and knowledgeable. Unfortunately after the first visit - I never saw Bob again. Instead I got the Terminix treatment. Each visit was ended abruptly with "Sorry - don't have the proper tools to do this - be back in two weeks" During the two weeks, the problem multiplied, and multiplied. It took several phone calls to get the tech back and then it was another excuse and another delay. Meanwhile.....multiply...multiply. I have replaced all my kitchen appliances because the rodents ate the wiring and the steps were taken to close entry points were done by the installers. Now I'm told that I'm just a chronic complainer because, "Honestly, I haven't seen a rat yet." Of course you haven't - you don't have the tools." This review prompted an email. Then more of the same inconsistencies. Update - 9/18/2010 To be fair, unless the owner replaced the insulation and did some other repairs - nothing anyone did would alleviate the problem. There was nothing they could do to help and we both finally realized that. Rodents are a special case. You can't come out once every six months and spray pesticide and expect results. I know of no company that does an adequate job but Bob - from Cascade was the only person who actually helped. He's a gem. read more

I called about our wasp problem, they sent someone out the same day. He was courteous and professional--even gave me quite an education about wasps that I didn't know (I like learning about stuff). Within 10 minutes he had put on his protective equipment, climbed up a 20 foot ladder, sprayed the wasps and their nest under our roof with some potent stuff, and was back out of his gear again. All I had to do was sign paperwork. The wasps were gone within 2 days. We had already attempted to get rid of the bees with another company in town who was more affordable, but after two treatments, we saw no reduction in the number of bees. Cascade is more expensive, but worth it. I couldn't be more pleased. No wonder they've been able to stay in business 30 years. read more

Our landlord required a flea treatment when we moved out because we have a dog, who we treat for fleas every month, so there really was no pest to be controlled but more of a "cover your bases" need. I called around to several local pest controls and found that Cascade was by FAR the most reasonably priced for the service I needed. The day of the appointment the technician was 10 minutes EARLY and called to let me know he was there, I was enroute since we had already vacated the apartment. His name was Gil and he was very friendly and professional. I would highly recommend Cascade Pest control, I am really not sure about the other reviews but again, there is no active pest problem just a contractual agreement to be done upon move out. read more

I had a family of rats living under my deck and in my crawlspace recently. I tried to get rid of them myself with no luck. I called Clean Crawls because I thought they did pest control in addition to their other services, but they don't. They recommended Cascade Pest Control. I called Cascade and was able to get an appt pretty quickly. The tech, Gil, was great. He's friendly and efficient, and took care of the little uninvited family with his traps. He also did a full inspection of the exterior of my house and sealed up the holes he found. He also built a door to block off my crawlspace. My house is older and for whatever reason, I had a big gap under the deck leading to the crawlspace. Gil built a door from scratch and blocked it off and now I feel confident that no more rats will make their home under my house. I highly recommend Cascade Pest and their tech, Gil. read more

We were cascade for quite awhile so trust me when I tell you to STAY AWAY! There were a few good technicians over the years but the management doesn't care so you are just as likely to have a miserable experience. Many times we had people show up unknown to us so they couldn't get into our backyard or crawl space. They charge us anyways. We asked for a consistent schedule so we could be here. They said ok but wont stick to it. When we asked to get the same technician each time they told us ok and then the next month we got someone else. That happened several times. One of those times a manager came to our house and ensured us that we would get the same technician next time. Weeks later another technician / manager showed up. When we said we didnt want him here because he was not the technician we were promised he became bilegerant and told me he would be our technician from now on so we needed to suck it up. Guess what buddy you can suck it. I am not paying a company to be rude to me. The owner's son was polite and did good work but they play so many games with scheduling that you will only get that kind of service once or twice a year. read more

We have been customers for over a year. We have an every other month contract and we love it. We initially called them because of a rat problem. We could see up to eight rats at a time and Cascade Pest Control took care of every one of them. The technician went on our roof and repaired our roof so that the rats would stop coming into the attic. He put a bunch of traps in the attic and bait traps around the exterior of the house. Cascade Pest Control takes care of all of the spiders, wasps, etc. Worth every dollar! Plus, their trucks have a beautiful butterfly on it so as not to scare the neighbors ;) read more
