I've been going to this restaurant since I was a kid. Not too many family style restaurants anymore and this one stands the test of time. This family owned, authentic, home style cooking Italian restaurant is a piece of history I. The Jackson area. As soon as you step through the doors it is clear that this place has plenty of history. It is usually packed so I suggest that you make a reservation or you could be waiting In The bar area for awhile for a table. The service is very attentive, they make you feel like you're at home. The food is very good and fresh. Plus they give you alot of it. You get started off with bread, then comes the yummy minestrone soup, after comes the fresh salad (I would've been happy with that as my main meal TBH)a plate a spaghetti, some antipasto and then your main meal. So much food. Don't get me started on the desserts. I recommend the spumoni. This place bring back so many good memories for me so I hope it gives you some future ones.

This place is really unique and has a lot of history. I would recommend dining here for the rich history. There's a page on the menu all about the house. We were greeted by Teresa's own granddaughter. Our large group was seated in the back room. They have a large menu and everything comes with soup and salad. My friend and I decided to split our entree since our group ordered a few appetizers to share. The waitress asked if we wanted soup and salad for both of us (for the one entree order) so we said yes. Beware! We were never told that it was an additional $21! I can understand $5 extra, but the $21 upcharge is a little ridiculous considering that the soup and salad came out in huge bowls served family style anyways. We did complain at the end when we were presented with the bill and discovered how much it was. It was taken off but the waitress wasn't happy about it. The food was good but some thought theirs was a bit on the plain side. I liked my shrimp scampi dish. The rib eye was also good and a huge portion.

i wasn't disappointed, but it didn't wow me either. got the chicken parm for my first visit. i'll start with the positives: service was great, historic ambience is cool, love the family-owned story. however, this was the first time i've had to add salt and pepper to my meal in an italian restaurant. also, the chicken was too dry. for the house salad, their "creamy italian" (as the waitress calls it), tastes weird. not quite italian dressing, nor thousand island. can't y'all just give us a classic italian dressing please. there isn't much competition in this sleepy country town, so they've been doing their thing for over 100 years. more power to them. but that doesn't mean it's automatically the best restaurant, they've just been around for a long time.

Food was good Service was excellent and the ambiance was very nostalgic I had lunch . The house Zinfandel was great and their minestrone and Clam chowder were very enjoyable

We started with a bowl ( not cup) of soup that was very good with french bread(bottom was hard). Next we were given a large bowl of salad with thousand island dressing to share. The salad of iceberg lettuce, tomatoes, beets, cheese, and croutons was very good but an Italian restaurant should have a house made Italian dressing. We were not given choice. This was followed by chicken Marcella and chicken piccata. The chicken Marcella with mushrooms and bow tie pasta was good. I did not like the chicken piccata that was swimming in sauce. The pasta is not house made. We did not finish our wine and were given a grease spotted Safeway bread bag to put bottle in. I assume the bread we had is from Safeway. The place is eclectic inside. The tiramisu was buried in whipped cream and inside was gritty.

We love Teresa's Place!! From the delicious food (I love the salad) to the nicest employees (Joann is the best!) and owner and the cute atmosphere, it's one of my all time favorite restaurants! We can't wait to go back.

As a native to the area, I have grown up going to Teresa's and it's always a treat. Yesterday my husband and I went for dinner and I had the chicken piccata and he had the shrimp salad. My piccata was tender and there was ample sauce. The salad that came with it was large, hardy, and served with their house dressing. I joked with my husband that he got the shrimp "DIY" salad. Lol I'd never seen it come out like that. It was massive, which delighted my hungry hubby, but it was a bit difficult to manage due to the size and the fact that the lettuce wasn't cut. In the end, our server gave us a bowl that he could pile some ingredients into and eat from. It was a picture-worthy salad, just a bit difficult to get into. As always, the setting was lovely and homey. A fantastic place to start off the week.

Seriously, the DJ and the rap battle were not what I was expecting. I'll also give them props for being the only place that serves food past 10 pm in Sutter Creek, even if it is three different fried offerings of a combination of them together. For the most part, the layout is great, the bartenders cheerful, the patrons an interesting mix of regulars and out-of-towners. Even the random DJ'd mix and unintelligible rap freestyle were good conversation pieces.

Hotel Sutter Restaurant has been on my list of places to check out in our neck of the woods for a while. We for sure wanted a classy place that served cocktails, and Hotel Sutter fit the bill. Both of us were also craving a good craft burger, and from what I saw in other reviews, the burgers looked delicious. I made a reservation for us on OpenTable just in case, but since it was a weeknight I wasn't too concerned if we had walked in. We were seated nearly immediately, and our server cheerfully asked us what we wanted to drink besides good ole H2O. I was really glad we came to visit around Christmastime, since they were serving holiday cocktails and other beverages. I went with the partridge pear martini, while my husband went with the Santa's spiced cider. My martini was oh so delicious and perfectly strong, and I had a small sip of my husband's cider, which was refreshing with the perfect holiday-esque notes. We read a few mixed reviews on the apps, so went straight to the entrees instead. I chose the bacon jam burger and my husband chose the traveller whiskey burger. Both of us upgraded to the garlic rosemary seasoning. I went with fries and my husband went with tots. Honestly, we were glad that we didn't end up ordering an app, since the burgers themselves were pretty filling! We both asked for medium on the cook temp of our patties, and they delivered. The meat was perfectly juicy with a wonderful charred flavor. The bacon jam was so delicious, and the balsamic arugula paired perfectly with everything. My brioche bun was pillowy and yet did not fall apart with all the juices of the burger. I did not get a chance to try my husband's burger, but he stated that it was also top notch. My fries were piping hot, with a perfect dusting of garlic rosemary flavor and sprinkles of Parmesan cheese. I tried a tot and that was also delightfully crispy and flavorful. We asked for ranch and that went well with both sides. The ketchup was great as well. I loved the ambiance of the restaurant. Old buildings are always up my alley, and the rich history of Hotel Sutter can truly be felt simply by touching its brick walls (that is, if you believe in the spirit realm). I loved that each table had its own light, but the restaurant had the perfect dim setting for a classy date night. Our server was very friendly and attentive, and kept our waters refilled. We had a concern regarding the pricing of the cider on the bill vs on the menu and that was fixed immediately, with the rest of the staff notified for future reference. It was a tiny discrepancy, but one that we caught quickly and simply wanted to bring up. Hotel Sutter Restaurant is definitely on our places to return to in the future, and I'd love to sit on the balcony some other time and enjoy some brunch and mimosas. If you're looking for an excuse for date night or are just feeling fancy, definitely come relax, sip some delicious cocktails, and enjoy the delicious food Hotel Sutter Restaurant has to offer!
