Tequila Bar was a great Mexican eatery but then the owners screwed it up with the "order before seating" process. It destroyed this great little eatery. Very sad.

Con Arroz, Pollo version
Eric P.

The wife's dish came out just as she ordered and tasted just as she had hoped. The food did come out in a timely manner and was very hot. My dish which was Con Arroz, or Arroz con Pollo, was delicious with the exception of one thing. There was no arroz, no rice, just sat on top of a corn tortilla. Otherwise would have been a five star review.

Horchata
Alessandra G.

Newly renovated restaurant that looks really great inside. At first I was shocked with the price of the horchata but when it came out I understood the price because it's huge! The salsa and bean dip were so good and a nice twist. I had the carnitas de puerco and the carnitas had great flavor, not too crispy and still a bit moist. This place is new so give them a little bit of slack as they are still figuring it out. I think hiring a few more employees could never hurt.

Romero too busy on his phone to acknowledge and help customers or set up tables with napkins and silverware

Three of us came in and sat at a table. No one else was in the entire restaurant or on the patio. There were three guys working which I assume to be a cook, server and busboy. Menus, chips, salsa and waters were placed on our tables. A few minutes later a couple came in and sat down at a table. 15 minutes goes by and they are being served drinks while no one has come to our table to ask if we'd like to order any drinks or food. The server then leaves the building and leaves who I think was the busboy, behind the bar. His name is Romero. Romero is behind the bar on his phone for a few minutes, then decides to go sit down at a table and continue to be on his phone. He then gets up without looking away from his phone and stands behind the bar again. At this point the person I think was the cook has disappeared. We never saw him again so I think he must have been cooking for the couple that came in. Romero starts to walk back to the booth as someone in my party is raising her hand, saying "excuse me?" repeatedly, but he blatantly ignored her. Another person in our party went and sat at the empty bar to make a point and Romero continued to ignore us. The server finally walks back into the building and asks the person at the bar if he has been helped, sort of chastising Romero on not helping out to which Romero replied "I don't have to." At this point it's been almost a half hour. Server comes over and takes our 3 drink and nachos order. He asks if there is anything else we need and I asked for more salsa. Romero comes over with more salsa, puts it on the table and says "here." Later, one of us had to go up to the bar to ask for more chips. Several minutes later 2 out of the 3 drinks come. We're told the 3rd drink will be out in just a few minutes. 10 minutes later the nachos come. No silverware or napkins have been provided. Someone in my party stood up, went to the counter where staff grabs silverware and napkins for tables, but there is no silverware and all the napkins are in plastic packages....so she took one of them and opened it, placing it on our table. The server comes back and asks how everything is and we informed him we are still missing the 3rd drink and have no silverware. He apologized for the napkins in the package, took them out and looked embarrassed telling Romero to bring us forks. 3rd drink was finally brought. Nachos were really good. However, this is the worst service I've ever experienced at a brand new restaurant. This is my second visit. First visit wasn't as bad, but the ladies were rude, unfriendly and didn't care to provide basic serving customer service. I would've contacted the manager, but there was no manager on site either visit, their website is not working and there is no contact information on yelp. The only reason I gave an additional star is because the nachos were delicious and packed with all the good stuff. You would think a brand new place would have management/owners walking around to ensure their establishment is running properly and customers are happy, wanting to return. It's no wonder this place was empty during Happy Hour.

Same great place - and now voted the best beer bar IN THE WORLD by Craft Beer and Brewing Magazine.read more

When I travel for beer, I usually stick to breweries because each has their own story and vibe…read more It's rare I seek out a beer bar, unless there is something special and thankfully this one fits that category. A Beer Club has been on recent lists of best beers bars in the country. From the outside it seems like just another bar in a commercial plaza, windows and bright lit beer signs in the windows. But inside it was quick to see why this place is special. To the left are fridges filled with amazing bottles and cans from mostly local breweries. The selections here are special ones, not what you can find from these breweries in a normal grocery store. There's even one door blacked out that's for members of the club, a curated selection of even more amazing things. The interior is bright and well lit, with the walls covered in bottles collected over the years. The bartender George was friendly and welcoming to my group; their tap list is also fantastic so we were able to pick and choose whatever we wanted in flight sizes. There was another employee that explained their beer selection and showed us a phone book sized binder filled with more selections! The special treat was the two gentlemen at the bar trying special bottles, who gave us the generous leftovers to enjoy and taste. I could see this place easily being a usual haunt if I lived nearby. If you're a beer fan in Eugene, this is a must-visit stop!

Awesome location, Ninkasi brewing is within walking distance of two other breweries in the area…read morewhich is always a plus for me when I'm visiting a new town. Great outdoor seating and indoor bar area. The beer is solid considering they have a smaller menu of their own beer, but they make up for it with a guest list and a limited amount of their own beers, plus for the none beer drinking that might be in your group they have Wine & Hard Lemonade. They don't have food here but there were some nearby food trucks/stands on this block. The cherry on top here was the service. We came here after running the Eugene Mararhon & the server let us know they have drink specials for the race participants and gave us a breakdown of their beer menu to help with our selection.

There are brewery facilities and storage facilities all over, the streets are all free parking. The taproom is located off to the side of the main buildings and is worth a visit. On arrival, it was a cold and wet day so we opted to sit inside. They have a much larger area for outdoor seating in the warmer months. There's a selection of merchandise and to-go beer. There was only one bartender, but she was super nice and friendly despite a constant stream of customers. It seemed like most of the people were lifelong fans and regular customers. We all had flights, plus a few extra selections. I also learned Ninkasi now owns Ecliptic Brewing so a bunch of their beers are no made here and were also on tap. They had mostly their flagship IPAs but also an amazing selection of small batch beers which were less prevalent styles. Prices are reasonable. If you're a beer fan, this one is a must-stop!

It's less than 1% of the places I visit that are true beer clean glassware astute. There are many that do a good job, but when you see the lacing on glassware that I saw tonight, you know you're in rarified air. FOOD: ok I know most people don't need out over glassware the way I do so let's discuss the food - I went more unique with a lamb sausage and a boar sausage, plus my new friends next to me shared their fries. My opinion? Awesome. Well executed sausage, the fries were really good - crisp on the outside and still perfect potato texture inside while being hot with a fry sauce side that perfectly complemented Service was great, met regulars, had tasty food - but the whale in this adventure was the care for the glassware. This is special - the owner truly cares about your experience when they nail the small details a lot of folks miss. I didn't miss this detail because it's massive in the nuance on your beer but takes special care and pride to get right. Bangers takes pride in giving you a beer in a properly maintained glass, and that's uniquely special. Applause to Bangers for attention to detail!

Tried this spot recently and ordered the Seattle dog with fries while my husband got the brisket…read moresausage with mac and cheese. The food was good, but the pricing felt a bit steep. $17 dollars for a basic Seattle dog and fries feel a little high for counter service. That said, the overall vibe makes up for it. The space is open and inviting, with a great beer selection and a relaxed, dog-friendly atmosphere, which is a huge plus for us. Great place to grab a drink and hang out, just be prepared for slightly higher food prices.
