I arrived in time for trivia and the folks here in Winston *love* trivia. Just about every seat in the place was taken but I managed to find a perch with a stool at the window. I was able to plug in the laptop and charge the phone while ignoring the trivia and drink two beers, so it's all good. Chinese food truck out front doing good work this evening. We stopped in for lunch from the food truck they had out front and for me to enjoy some cold beer. They have a different food truck daily and the bbq and burger truck didn't disappoint. I enjoyed two flights of six different beers, 12 in total and there were more I wanted to try but we needed to get back in the road home. Some for next time. My wife, who was my driver, loved the ice water tap that comes right out of the beer cooler for her to enjoy ice cold water. We have been to a lot of breweries and Lookingglass is the first with a self serve tap right out of the beer cooler. The bartender was friendly and helpful answer people questions with a smile. There was a nice mix of local regulars and travelers making everyone feel welcome. They have a lot of seating choice and I loved the view of the brewing process. First off, this spot is super legit! Great atmosphere and staff. Everyone was super friendly even though my pup barked when given a cookie. Lol. Super clean, doggy watering bows, perfect inside temp, games and they even had a puppy potty area with bags! The beer was good, I liked the porter & red but let me tell ya, I LOVED, I mean LOVED the ciders. My favorite was the strawberry and peach. Mixed together and.... That ended the night super with plans of returning before heading home. The Chinese food truck was out when we pooped it and I was kinda skeptical. I ordered two meals, basically the tofu friendly stuff and the cucumber salad. Let's just say we ate that all up pretty quickly! Dude really knows how to smoke that tofu because it was so good but the cucumber salad.... That was an excellent accompaniment. Now if I could just take this spot back to California with me. We went to Wildlife Safari and my hubby wanted a cold one after our visit. We were pleasantly surprised by this location which was only a few blocks away. Really well decorated with a knowledgeable and responsive bartender. Patrons were also very friendly. I cannot personally review the beers because I have really bad allergic reactions to alcohol. But my husband said they were all very good. No food available other than an Asian food truck tucked in near the entrance that day. We just had the pan fried potstickers. Came out piping hot with good texture. Taste was just ok. Overall really a a lovely unexpected joint in a small town that offers a nice sit down area to get replenished and be able to relax. read more

Excellent beers with a great local feel. The only local brewery I know of that has a "locals" table where you can meet folks and socialize, something woefully undervalued in the experience. Also, my dog loves being there... and they like her too I especially like going when Beast Burger or Burgers and Q is there. read more

What a wonderful place for a beer. This is apparently a well kept secret because on a Saturday afternoon we were the first ones in the place. We often visit new places on our day trips and discovered this gem! Clean and modern tasting room and beautifully designed. Clean bathrooms and clean tables both inside and out. We had a beer flight of 7 different beers and decided we loved the Amber Ale. We don't often fill our growler unless the beer is exceptional. The Amber Ale was exactly that. The tap mistress ran our growler thru the dishwasher before filling! Can't beat that. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! read more

An unassuming little hole in the wall brewery/taproom. A locals favorite. Often has a food truck outside to compliment the beer. The place has been under construction and intermittently closed for the last year. The beer is good. But really no comparison to the amazing beer Oregon has to offer. This place has the potential for greatness. read more

Absolute unicorn of a brewery!! We walked in and patrons all turned our way....and smiled! First time visit, the woman and I decided to try this establishments adult beverage selection. On tap... Heavy on IPA's which I'm not a huge fan of, they did have a Rose, a blonde, a stout and others. The brew tender wasn't really friendly and rather stand-offish to the point I had to signal him for another beer. I tried to ask him about the peanuts but he was so taken with another guest he completely ignored what I had asked him and walked away. We did enjoy our beer and will return another time and try it out again. read more

This brewery tasting room has just been open for a couple of weeks, but it is worth stopping in. I had an excellent Porter there, and there selection includes Pilsner, IPA and stout. Seating inside and out, and each table includes free peanuts to shell and eat. A great addition to Winston. It is located in small strip mall on the main highway to the coast. read more
