Remains of enchilada & tostada platter

Traveling south on I-5 & pulled off for lunch. Hubby & I shared #3 combination plate. Greeted with bowl of chips & salsa. Plenty of food to split. Clean restaurant & restrooms.

The enchiladas are quite good. I really liked the chile fritos that I ordered. If you like spicy food then order a side of the chile fritos. Im glad i did They have an excellent selection of Mexican sodas, so if you have kids that can be a nice novelty.

The place is lively and fun, but not rowdy (at least not when we were there). It has a nice relaxed and casual vibe. They have several pool tables, pinball, electronic darts, and slots. The food is the usual bar food - burgers, fish & chips, corn dogs, etc and it was pretty good. Several regulars made it a point to introduce themselves, let us know what was happening in town, and generally just made us feel right at home. We'll be back.

Now the bar.. it reminds me of the bars I grew up in back in Buffalo, it's just a small town watering hole and it might not be much to look at on the outside.. but it's on the inside where the magic happens. There's Oregon lottery machines, pool tables, dart boards and shuffleboard. The drinks are cheap and cold, the hospitality is heart warming and the food is delicious. Sean, the owner, greeted us and showed us where we could park. We had a couple of ice cold beers and a couple of great sandwiches, patty melt (pictured) and s grilled cheese. Thank you Sean for your hospitality and we hope to see you again.

Our waitress was friendly, but the service felt a bit off after that. I was brought the wrong drink, and while she did check in, she never really stopped at the table, which made it hard to ask for things like new forks when our dessert came. It just felt a little rushed and inattentive, especially since they weren't busy. We shared the brisket nachos, which were just okay. The queso was pretty watery and lacked flavor, which was disappointing. On the bright side, the chocolate cake was delicious and definitely the highlight of the meal. The space itself is nice -- the bar area looks great, and we had a comfortable table. That said, given the slower pace of the restaurant at the time, the service and food just didn't quite match the setting. Would I return? Maybe. I'd be open to trying one of the other restaurants at Seven Feathers, but this experience wasn't especially impressive.

Mr. Wonderful ordered the fish and chips and ate everything with the exception of a couple of fries. I enjoyed the chicken and spatzle soup and a house salad with blue cheese dressing. **If cookies are on the dessert menu, do not miss out! They are exceptional!** The last time we were here was during Covid. There were only a few tables in the dining room - how things have changed. Unlike before, we didn't notice anyone smoking in the restaurant. Tonight's experience was completely different = lively, fun and engaging! We will certainly return.

She sat us at a tall table by the bar. She served us water and coffee right away. The menu was decent and prices were appropriate. I ordered the lighter breakfast (1 egg. 2 bacon and French toast) with an extra egg. My friend ordered the veggie scramble omelette. We didn't wait too long for our food. Cathy was hustling and working hard! The restaurant was pretty busy. We got our food and my portions were perfect for me. My eggs were cooked exactly as I requested (overhard with the yolks broken), the bacon was NOT burnt to a crisp (yummy) and the French toast had a hint of cinnamon. DELICIOUS. And I didn't leave anything on my plate. The veggie scramble was great too! We were again pleasantly surprised that the receipt had a QR code so we just paid from the table. So convenient!! As we left, Cathy was still hustling. She was an amazing server...and we told her so!

You can sit at a bar downstairs, there's a bunch of tables in the general area, or go up to the loft where ID is required. Plenty of food options, many vegetarian options too! My sausage and onion omelette came out perfectly, with the hash browns nice and crispy. My spouses pancakes were fluffy and super sweet. And my mother in law's breakfast burrito looked delicious. Overall a great try if you're in the area and if I lived here I'd be eating at Del Rey Cafe all of the time.
