My daughter and I cut ours to make them more manageable but my son didn't and his cheese basically ran right off the burger. He didn't mind because he doesn't normally order cheese anyway. There is typically only 1 or 2 employees handling the entire space and since the drinks are all crafted, between waiting to get your order taken and then waiting for the drinks to arrive, you're looking at 15 to 20 minutes. For the first time of these visits, we made reservations for the now reservation only Sunday menu. Reservation was at 4 and you had to place your order at the time of making your reservation days ahead. We didnt get our meals until 445. While the menu and presentation were amazing, the taste was not there. Lobster was very overcooked and lacked flavor in the seasoning, prime rib cut was impressive at 16oz but was cooked perfect and thankfully was served with some type of horseradish cream. The potatoes were stated as being a mashed potatoe type but we're not a mash in my opinion at all. It was a half super chunky scoop with the sour cream and butter kind of hidden in the middle.

The beers are experimental and creative with their beers making some pretty unusual beers that taste great! We have had three of their beers so far on two separate occasions and both times the beers were very impressive and enjoyable! One of the beers we had was the Thumb Ring. A Wild Ale that was excellent. It was aged on peaches, blackberries and coconut. Flavors featured with this beer are tartness, peachy, cherry and a hint of purposeful mustiness. Wit Bat was another beer we had. Also a Wild Ale this beer was wonderful also! Flavors to find with this Ale are tartness and jam like. The jam like qualities come from the marionberries and the Coriander brings it an extra depth. A very effervescent and elegant Ale. The third beer we had was the Earl of Tenmile. This was a Sour Ale with flavors of tart, sour, some sweetness and a clean finish. It is a blend of two and four year spontaneously fermented Ales. Such great beers and ales Draper has to offer and I would love to continue to explore with more of their beverage options which I hope would be in the near future.

Sounded like a deal, so off we went. Walking in, we were hit with a wall of noise from the lively crowd and a haze of smoke drifting off the grill. To top it off, we got an unexpected dose of "local flavor" when an older lady at the bar fixed her gaze on my husband, asked to take his photo, and then claimed she really just wanted a picture of the door... sure, okay. I was tempted to turn right around, but we stuck it out and found a table. Before long, a server stopped by with menus and got us settled in. We decided to split the steak dinner, and it turned out to be fantastic--tender, flavorful, and more than enough for two. A glass of cabernet on the side rounded it out nicely. The best part, though, was the atmosphere. Once we relaxed into it, it was great fun being in a spot where the locals gather. A friendly couple pulled up to our table and shared stories about the area, even tipping us off to some local happenings. We enjoyed it so much that we went back the very next night. The Saturday special was a shrimp hoagie, and once again it was both a tasty meal and a great deal.
