We booked the party room and had a birthday party for my mom. It was her 75th birthday. The service was amazing and the food was excellent. We got many different options and the service was outstanding. Highly recommend this place. It's a great place to celebrate or just have a great night out.

This one of the best restaurants I've eaten at in a long time. I had the ribeye with mashed potatoes and gilled zucchini. Excellent meal. My dirty martini was perfect. Our server was attentive and very pleasant. The feel of the restaurant is upscale without being fussy.

Located in downtown Roseburg, with lots of street parking around. This restaurant is pretty popular so try to make a reservation or snag a seat at the bar. Cocktails and food is good. Would highly recommend the mushroom appetizer. Food is expensive for the amount you get, 3 people was about 200$

Cute little restaurant. Very busy. Food and service were pretty good. The skillet cookie was delicious! Fever Gingerale was one of the best ginger ale that I had. Price and portion were reasonable. Great for date night and large parties. Street parking only.

September 30, 2024 Absolutely recommend. We were in Roseburg for our anniversary, so I checked Yelp for a nice restaurant to celebrate the day. True Kitchen and Bar had great reviews, so we made a reservation. When we arrived, we noticed the restaurant is divided into two areas; the dining room and the bar area. We liked the booths in the bar area, so we requested to be seated at one of the booths. Once seated, we each ordered a Smoked Rosemary Maple Old Fashion ($11), which we enjoyed. I then ordered the short ribs with mashed potatoes (Braised Short Rib - Boneless, house demi-glace, garlic-white cheddar mashed, sautéed spinach, heirloom carrots, caramelized sweet onion, $30), and my husband ordered the sea scallops with butternut risotto (Seared Scallops 6oz, parsnip puree, brown butter-sage butternut risotto, parmesan, dried cranberries, toasted hazelnuts, haricot verts, $40). The short rib dinner was delicious. Husband shared one of his scallops with me, and it was perfectly cooked. I'm always hesitant to order scallops, because they can be a bit rubbery, but not here. The scallop was beautifully cooked and wonderfully tender and moist. For dessert, we split a slice of Hawaiian cream cheese pineapple cake. Totally enough for two people, and a very nice ending to a great meal. Note: Definitely make a reservation.

Creme Brulee. Very sweet. Quite large - one order would have been sufficient for all 3 of us.

Love this restaurant, amazing drinks amazing food and top notch service. The bartender Travis made this wonderful drink for me. But you really can't go wrong with anything from the menu. Highly recommend if you're in Roseburg Oregon don't miss stopping here. PS only open for dinner Monday through Saturday.

Taylor bringing the smoke to Smokey Rosemary Maple Old Fashioned- True Kitchen- Roseberg, CA - September 30, 2024

True Kitchen and Bar, Roseburg, OR - September 30, 2024 We came here on the eve of our 35th wedding anniversary. I made a reservation for 5:30 PM and mentioned to the woman on the phone that it was our anniversary. When we arrived, the hostess seated us on the bar side of the restaurant per our request. As she handed us our menus, she said "Happy Anniversary!" What a nice surprise that was! We got a comfortable padded booth looking out to the nicely stocked bar. It had a really nice warm feel to it. Our bartender, Taylor, came over shortly afterwards and took our drink orders. "Two Smokey Rosemary Maple Old Fashions, please!" Taylor got right to work on our drinks and we watched as he added the smoke to our glasses. It had a beautiful aroma. He brought the drinks back to our table and then took our food orders. My wife ordered the short ribs with petite squash and mashed potatoes, and I got the sea scallops with butternut squash risotto and green beans. We also ordered a couple of glasses of red wine. The meal was delicious! Afterwards we ordered the Hawaiian cream cheese pineapple cake to split. Delightful! We were very happy with the food, drinks, and service! A great way to bring in year 36!

We ordered the Brussel sprouts starter, Short Ribs and Ribeye steak. Everything was delicious! So full of flavor. We finished with the Hummingbird cake. (Banana pineapple cake with cream cheese frosting covered in nuts, coconut and raisins?) The ambiance was moody and romantic. The service was excellent.

What a hidden gem in Roseburg. Must take a detour on the I5 to visit this beautiful restaurant. Cocktails were one of the best Ordered Adobo Lime chicken which was fantastic. I scraped off the last remaining sauce from it. Chicken was perfectly cooked and tender. Green curry stir fry was delicious as well. Great Service. Server came to check on us and provided awesome recommendation from the menu. The ambiance is a fine dine experience. Extremely clean and a pleasure to dine. Highly recommended!

Draper is an excellent brewery in my mind. The beers are experimental and creative with their beers making some pretty unusual beers that taste great! We have had three of their beers so far on two separate occasions and both times the beers were very impressive and enjoyable! One of the beers we had was the Thumb Ring. A Wild Ale that was excellent. It was aged on peaches, blackberries and coconut. Flavors featured with this beer are tartness, peachy, cherry and a hint of purposeful mustiness. Wit Bat was another beer we had. Also a Wild Ale this beer was wonderful also! Flavors to find with this Ale are tartness and jam like. The jam like qualities come from the marionberries and the Coriander brings it an extra depth. A very effervescent and elegant Ale. The third beer we had was the Earl of Tenmile. This was a Sour Ale with flavors of tart, sour, some sweetness and a clean finish. It is a blend of two and four year spontaneously fermented Ales. Such great beers and ales Draper has to offer and I would love to continue to explore with more of their beverage options which I hope would be in the near future.

It has been a year since I've been to the Parrot House and wanting to try their reinstated buffet…read more I like a buffet where you can try different foods. I really wanted to like this place because it's the one fairly fancy place in town...but, it was a disappointing experience. We got to the restaurant for our 10am reservation but the door didn't open until exactly 10. People huddled under the porch because it was raining fairly hard. We were shown inside, then back outside to another room to our table. We ordered and they said the buffet was in the tent-outside. So, coat & rain hood back on to go to the buffet. Unfortunately, the buffet wasn't ready so we went back to our seats. The buffet wasn't ready for around 20 minutes-because some of the kitchen crew called in sick so they were operating with less help. The remaining crew was working hard to get it set up. So they were doing a good job-they just needed more help. The buffet had: Eggs, Potatoes, Bacon, Sausage, Biscuits & Gravy, Jalapeño Cheddar Bagels, Smoked Salmon, Salad, Dressing, Potato Dill Soup, an Omelet bar and Prime Rib. Unfortunately, most of the food we got wasn't warm. I think the top of the chafing dishes were able to cool off, even though, the bottom was hot. Didn't know that until going back in. Thats a dangerous situation where bacteria can grow. The bread was excellent. It was a chewy Italian bread. The butter balls were firm so hard to spread. There were bagels and smoked salmon but it would have been nice to have something other than just jalapeño cheddar bagels for the smoked salmon. Maybe, get something more neutral in flavor that more people would eat. I think I have fairly normal tastes and love biscuits & gravy but the biscuits and gravy had an odd flavor to me. I wasn't a fan but that may be a preference. The prime rib was ok but not terribly tasty. The Potato dill soup was just ok, too. The omelet bar probably was the safe choice since you pick your ingredients but I make those often at home so I wanted to try other things. I think they are trying to be fancy instead of just making good food that everybody would like. Service was good. We did have to wait for coffee but overall they were nice and did a good job letting people know when the buffet was ready. Overall: Ambiance is 5/5; Service 4/5, Food-the temperature, late food and having to walk in the rain to the tent and back with a plate of food while getting rained on drops the overall score to 3/5. Opening that heavy door with a plate of food is a problem, too. Maybe have the tent right outside the entrance to the main dining room so your customers and their full plates don't have to be out in the rain. There has to be a better way.

Now for the breakfast review: Today I being it's my first breakfast here I tried the biscuits and gravy with a sausage patty. The drink I chose for this morning's breakfast was a Spanish coffee. Typically when I try an establishments breakfast for the first time it's always biscuits and gravy. By far my favorite breakfast ever. If they prepare this dish well that tells me it's okay to be more adventurous. Well the Lilly nailed it today. The biscuits and gravy is everything that it should be. Authentic and not artsy fartcy. Just good old school down home biscuits and gravy and that is what I received today. The dish was flavorful and the biscuits are spot on. The sausage patty was of very good quality and very flavorful as well. The Spanish Coffee was very nice prepared and the presentation was excellent. Once again the Jersey Lilly has knocked it out of the park. I highly recommend that you try this establishment.
