Very busy and greeter never said hello to us as we waited at the door. Greeter talked with waitress about taking us at a table and the waitress said "please don't". Very rude to not even greet us. Unfortunately our service wasn't great. I don't even know our servers name, she didn't greet my son and I with her name. My teenage son was taking me out and treating me for a mom son date. Our boneless wings & mozzarella sticks were room temp, even cold. I don't like to complain but it was a bummer. Hadn't gone to Applebee's in quite a while (at least 4 years). Honestly I was disappointed with the last several times I had gone there. Went there for dinner tonight with a good friend. Had an amazing dinner. Very flavorful. Really great service. Got to meet the new general manager. She started last September. She was amazing. She has a real vision for our Roseburg Applebee's. She's dedicated to making it the best it can be and she's very dedicated to her employees too She's was generous to share some of the changes she has made and some of the plans further changes. Not quite as wonderful as the last time we were here. It wasn't really busy but we still waited almost 45 minutes for our food after ordering. I got the crispy chicken burger. It was flavorful and crispy the way I like it, but everything seemed to be covered in a peppery spicy seasoning. ......and the fries were cold and stale. Now, McDonalds or something, i understand Fries getting stale, but in a restaurant where your food is prepared after you order it?... They also have those obnoxious little electronic gadgets on the tables which I promptly moved on to another empty table. After a while our waiter brought us another round of drinks while we were still waiting for our food. Then he picked up the gadget and put it back on our table. I took the nasty thing and moved it back to the empty table hahahaaa!!! He ended up moving it back then I told him how much I despise these job killing gadgets especially when they are panhandling for tips. How the heck do I stuff cash money in the damn things?! We laughed at that, but seriously, this electronic overkill is too much. He said he can take the cash to the register. Right. Okay. Then get this damn thing off the table! Apparently it is a corporate issue. Others have complained but the individual franchises are not allowed to refuse to use them or they get fined. So, long wait for food, stale cold fries, portable card readers.... Ugh. We left him a nice tip because he was trying, but corporate decisions can obviously deflect customers to other restaurants which is a shame. read more

Bad Service Rude waitress. I will give zero to this place for bad service. I stopped at this place to eat with my family around 9:00 pm on 7/23/25. The waiter was taking orders of a big group of people. After about 10 minutes of waiting, a waitress with dark hair came to us to take our order. She looked unhappy for doing so. When she came with the food, she literally dropped the plates with the food on the table. The plates bounced on the table right in front of us. I felt like leaving the restaurant immediately, but my son was hungry, and it was late to find another restaurant opened in the area. This was totally unfair to us. It was unacceptable. Please train your employees to provide a good service or replace them for more qualified ones. read more

I have never been much for dining in so I use carside services probably 2-4 times a week and up until recently(the last few weeks) everything was wrong or missing something entirely. So one day finally I mention it to the lady working I think her name was Alisha and she was just the sweetest darn thing she told me how sorry she was for mistakes on orders she dint even know about and also promised me if I'm here and your order zones through I will defiantly make sure it's triple checked and ready for you so we don't have any more problems from here on out. She was so sweet and helpful In every which way possible...If she was a server I would come in just to have her wait my table and be treated with the upmost respect..Good job Applebees for Making a turnaround for the better and to the redhead that does curbside keep up the Excellent work It makes my heart smile knowing there's still decent people with good customer service skills out there. i strongly recommend curbside to anyone looking for a quick good meal. Good god. I do NOT usually leave bad reviews due to being a former food service manager so I can be extremely understanding when it comes to a longer wait/mishaps. I have never had service be this terrible. Arrived inside at 8:18 We were seated at 8:24 while the hostess was hunting down our server in the bathroom, office and wherever else he could hide. We asked for the full menu due to Mother's Day menu being out (this wasn't an issue to have a partial menu but my mother wanted to look at the salads) We waited about 10 minutes for the menu and I hadn't even seen our server come out/making rounds. I then decided to get up and walk to the bar to ask for the menu so we could at be ready with what we wanted. He came by 5 minutes late apologized and asked if we were ready. Thankfully we got on my daughter's order in around 8:50ish because a 2 year old being hungry and getting closer and closer to bed time, was not something we wanted to deal with publicly Our order was taken at 9:02---- we weren't there for happy hour btw lol. We weren't purposely waiting for it We finally got our food around 9:40, my husband waiting on his steak for a bit after us (he asked for medium well), when he did finally receive it, it was RARE. like it could've moo'ed at us. So they took it back and threw it in the microwave. When he got it back, there was a very clear thumb print in the mashed potatoes that had not been there previously. Steak was just okay, still on the medium side rather than medium well. The food itself wasn't the best compared to other Applebees we have gone to which is crazy. We asked for an ice cream scoop for my daughter. NEVER RECEIVED IT. We were attending to very minimally. It was just an awful experience and we didn't get out of there until closer to 10:15. It was just extremely frustrating due to the fact that it was not extremely busy, groups of the same size around us were in and out before we even got our food. If you're coming here for food then go somewhere else. The service was nice but seemed like he was just here for the money. The cleaners were ok but the carpet was dirty under all the tables. I also found a long white hair cooked into my chicken tenders which then I lost my appetite. I ordered a stake smothered in mushrooms and I got brought out a steak smothered in onions like who wants that. DONE FOR GOOD WITH THIS PLACE! I've been going here off and on for years. Off and on because I would get sick of the poor service and not show up for a while. But we have minimal choices in this town and getting fewer choices all the time. Food is usually consistent and tastes from just okay to pretty good. service is horrible. There seems to always be a huge turnover in personnel and managers. The last and final time I was there I sat at the bar for 15 minutes with no bartender and the help walking past me never said a thing to me. When I finally stopped a server who was trying not to look my way and asked if I could get someone to take my order, I got an angry reprimand with her telling me about her problems and how they're short-staffed and I got a lecture on me being so demanding, then she walked away. The Chicken Broccoli Alfredo had been sitting for a long time, to the point the pasta hard and dry. The Bacon Cheeseburger was burned. The burger and fries were cold and stale. Had dinner here this evening, Monday at about 5:30 p.m. The restaurant was fairly busy as it was Monday night football. The host/ manager who greeted us was very nice. The waitress was very nice. The person who brought our food was very nice. It seemed like they were short-staffed. All three of us ordered off the $9.99 menu and one appetizer , chips and dip. The dip was good but it looked like we got the very bottom of the bag of chips as half of them were completely broken. The person who brought this should have seen that most of the chips were crushed . We ordered two bacon cheeseburgers and one chicken burger. Service was a bit slow. After the beverages were served, we had to ask for straws. When the food arrived we had no napkins and we had no silverware and we had to ask. The person who delivered the food should have seen this. My order when delivered was incorrect. It looked like they gave me a kids burger. The person who delivered this should have reviewed the ticket and caught it. It took a while to get that replaced, My friends were almost finished when I got the burger. For $9.99. it was a very good Burger. My friend asked for more soda, it never came. My friend asked the bartender to have the Monday night football game on the TVs in front of him, that never happened. The waitress finally changed the station when we were almost finished. Come on guys. It's Monday night football and you don't have the TVs on the game. All in all, the food was good. Yikes. Went on a football Sunday. Asked the hostess if she knew if the Seahawks game was on any of the TVs. She rudely said 'I'm too busy to watch football'. It was NOT busy. She sat us. I politely asked the waitress the same question. She looked at me like I was an idiot and said 'I don't know'. This is a place that has NFL Sunday specials. They literally use the NFL as a draw to get customers in. The food might be good, but those two were so rude we immediately left. If you go, prepare for stink eye. This was our second attempt to give this restaurant a chance, thinking the first time we went maybe was a fluke. Over the past 2 1/2 months, we have had to stay twice for business at a hotel right next to this Applebee's location. The first time we went in to eat dinner, both of us ordering the Caesar salad and I don't exactly understand how you can make a Caesar salad bad but it was not a Caesar salad, no taste whatsoever like it. We did nicely complain to the waitress after we paid the bill, our mistake and she noted the others were also doing the same thing. So this time around, going back for business we thought we'd give it a second chance. Wanting to just pick up food and take it back to our hotel room, we chose the nachos, the beef ones. How in the world can you mess up beef nachos? I do not know, but they did a great job of messing them up. They were stale chips hardly any toppings and just a big fat mess inside the box. I am absolutely shocked that they would call out a meal. Horrible tasting for $14. Will not give this restaurant another chance. After looking at all of the reviews within the last couple years, they recently must have changed Management and gone downhill. read more

Our order took about an hour to even get to our table, and when it did it was cold and we didn't even get our appetizers THAT CAME WITH THE ORDER. It was my friend's birthday and they had offered us a FREE brownie and ice cream which they had said no to. That friend had also ordered a plain chicken sandwich. When it was time to pay, they had charged us with a different sandwich that was way more expensive and charged us for the ice cream we DECLINED. Coming from an out of town visitor, Service wasn't to a T, kept overhearing staff let guest know that they were severely understaffed and then just ignore them, got here at 6:30 got in pretty quickly but didn't receive our food for another 1.5 hr after we placed the order. Drinks also took years to get. Not too impressed. Watched lots of people walk out the door that never even got greeted after waiting awhile. A whole lot of people were looking to escape the smoke from the fires outside and came here. I'm sure they weren't expecting so much business on a Monday early afternoon. There were two servers, and ours, Riley, was Supergirl (she actually bears a striking resemblance). She made handling so many tables look effortless. She even handled the bar. Today Easter Sunday 2025.My husband planned a late lunch 2 p.m. for his mother, his sister and a female cousin as well as myself. Things went sideways from the beginning. The waitress (robust woman of color) took us to a booth with a wet table that had food on the seats and food all over the floor and under the table. I ask if they were going to clean the floor and she just looked at me out of the corner of her eye and just dismissed what I had asked her and started to put menus down. My husbands cousin and sister are in their mid 70s and my mother in law is in her 90s so they didn't realize that their shoes were in French fries and all kinds food remnants under the table. We wiped down the table with wet wipes because they had their hearts set on eating there. We placed our food orders as well as beverages and my husband and I had salads before our meal and realized that there was no silverware. My sister in law asked the girl that seated us for some silverware and she told her with the same attitude I'm wiping down this table and I have people to seat. Our waiter really was trying because he immediately went and got some utensils and napkins and explained that no one had wrapped any thats why they were loose. He brought my husband and his cousins Ice Tea and water for My MIL and SIL and myself and said he was waiting for our wine. He said they still hadn't poured it and he later brought the wine and said someone else had grab them and he had to get new one poured. The food we ordered were bourbon street chicken and shrimp (some shrimp were burnt) with mash potatoes which were lukewarm and the 8 oz sirloin with mash potatoes which again were lukewarm and fish and chips with coleslaw which wasn't cold. It was just a letdown because the 5 of us don't get together very often. It wasn't crowded when we got there so this should have been a fairly easy meal as we didn't ask for anything special just what was on the menu. I feel like this really could have been a great experience but it wasnt and we will have to find another restaurant to take them too. read more

I totally love this Applebee's Gril + Bar!!! And so far I have been to 2 Applebee's Grill + Bar in two different states one was in New York and the 2nd one was in Oregon!!! And what's funny about it is that, I have not gone to any Applebee's in the State of California!!! I was really lucky when the day... I was staying at the Sleep Inn hotel at Rosenburg Oregon during my 7 day Pacific Northwest Tour!!! I was getting really hungry until then when I noticed a Applebee's which was nearby to our Sleep Inn Hotel!!! But before this I had to say thanks to our tour guide who had mentioned that there was a Applebee's which was very close to the Sleep Inn Hotel!!! So from there it was my 1st time here eating dinner at this Applebee's of Rosenburg Oregon on June 16TH 2018 with my family... And what I went for on the Applebee's Menu was the 2 for 20 special and what... I ordered was the 6oz Steak that came with baked potato, mash potato and also had a Caesar Salad as well with my full meal!!! After eating it all up on what... I had on my plate with my very hungry appetite!!! I was stuffed like a Panda Bear just take a look at the pictures that... I posted of the food that I ate for dinner on that day!!! Now that I ate at this Applebee's location!!! All I can say is that Applebee's Grill + Bar is one of my most favorite restaurant to eat it at!!! read more

This place has went downhill, WAY DOWNHILL. I went in to get a meal, around 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday March 18th. Nobody at the door to greet me. Hardly anyone in the restaurant either. So after waiting a few minutes, a young girl came up and asked, "how many", I told her one. I asked to sit in a booth by a window, but she motioned me to the bar and said, "the bar is open." So I guess she wanted me to sit in the bar area. So I said I needed to use the restroom real quick first. I came back out, sat in a both, in the bar area, and waited. I was only in the restroom about 1 minute, so I wasn't sure what happened to my waitress. So as I sit waiting, I see two people come in, get sat at the bar, then another single guy, also got sat at the bar, yet my waitress was nowhere around. So after about 10 minutes, I had thought wow, what crappy service. I got up to leave and as I was walking out, I see my waitress over in the corner doing her hair, without a care . YIKES. They sure seem to have some snotty, lazy employees driving business away daily. I used to like Applebee's too. From all of the negative reviews I read, (most of them are one star reviews like mine too), I am pretty sure I will NEVER RETURN. What a dramatic decline in customer service there. read more

I've served for about 5 years, and I completely understand and being busy. The bar wasn't that busy, with seats still open. I've never acknowledged a new table that sat down, and then ignored them for 15 minutes while I give everyone else their 2nd and 3rd drinks. At least drop a water to show you care. Had to interrupt the manager chilling and laughing with the girls there to let him know I'd be going elsewhere. Last time I was here, the bartender was great and I enjoyed the food!
