Spoil Hubby Week continues, as home back to Portland, he wanted Hot Dog! I wanted Coney Island, so I asked the counter guy, if they have something similar to a Coney Island. He doesn't know, or even heard of Coney Island Hot Dog. Instead of telling him, or describing him what it is, hubby was getting frustrated and just ask me: What do you want! Right here, I feel pressured. There on the bottom of the menu, on the wall facing me, was a long list of something I can ADD FOR FREE. One by one, I started adding: relish, lettuce, & tomatoes. Mustard of course. With all that, it made for a very good hot dog, after all! Hubby had: relish, mustard & ketchup. Something simple. He said: that was great. While waiting for our hot dogs prepared (I kind of watched), we were munching on fresh roasted peanuts. I wanted to eat under an umbrella, enjoy the fresh air outside. It was an awesome picnic . . . The burgers are fresh to order, with what you want on it. These are huge so you need to order the small otherwise they assume you want their normal size which is too big. The free all you can eat roasted peanuts is a plus. The soda machine is always broken so just get a water or a can - dont bother asking them to fix the machine - the person behind the counter doesn't care enought about fixing anything - remember these are minimum wage workers and I wouldn't trust the food if I couldn't watch them make it. Exactly what I would expect from a Five Guys location. Consistently good food, large portions, clean interior, and very friendly staff.

We walk in and are greeted loud and clearly by friendly staff. The store is clean and tables are wiped down. There is fairly loud Classic Rock being pumped through overhead speakers. As you walk towards the order station, you walk past boxes of peanut oil and sacks of potatoes with the date plainly marked. I can only guess that this is to demonstrate that the fries are from fresh potatoes and made in house. I suppose the cartons of peanut oil are there for the same purpose. Free peanuts are also available, help yourself. There's an open box of peanuts by the boxes of oil. I ordered the Bacon Cheeseburger and selected the toppings I wanted on it. I was surprised that it came as a double burger. It was cooked well and very flavorful and not dried out. The cheese was melted and the bacon was thick and crisp. Soda? Yup, help yourself to one of those computerized dispensers that lets you create your own mix of flavors. Be careful about ordering fries! Holy cow, we ordered 2 large fries and we most definitely got 2 LARGE fries. They took two large milkshake cups and double scooped fries into them. They then put those into a bag and for good measure, they dumped another couple of scoops into the bag on top of everything.... I guess they wanted to make sure we were satisfied with the amount of fries we got. The fries really are good. It's obvious that they are made fresh on site and not a frozen product. The good: clean, good service, assume most of the food is good, the fries were, appreciate the peanuts The bad: worst bacon I have had at any restaurant. Ordered the BLT expecting fresh juicy, meaty bacon. It was like the precooked bacon in a box you get from the grocery store only not that good. It was dry, cold and fatty, and was shattered into crunchy little pieces. (Not the fault of the staff in my opinion, but whoever chose to use that product). They accidently charged me for two fries and not one and would not refund my money. I unsuccessfully tried to get the money back from the manager, corporate, & with the local owner. The only way to get my refund was to go thru my credit card company and have them refund the over charge. They also lost our order and we had to wait extra long while they remade it. I also noticed an unhappy looking women with her hamburger wrapper opened at the counter that was probably made wrong. Go somewhere else. read more

Kind of a hidden gem in downtown roseburg. The dining area is clean and well decorated. Foods are great! I appreciate the many choices of free toppings. Price is reasonable but they did take awhile to make the burger. They offer complimentary peanuts which is very nice. read more

We didn't care for the Cajun fries, preferring the original. Ordered little bacon cheeseburger with lettuce wrap, tomato, grilled mushrooms and mayo. The copious amount of mayo made it nearly impossible to hold the burger. I must have used six napkins with mayo, mayo, mayo. read more

Had 5 Guys in Vacaville and was good, but this Roseburg was awesome. From the friendly staff(Noah T) was engaging, to the fresh hot burgers, fries and I had the Burger in a bowl (keto). Son's first trip and he gave fries a 7/10 and double cheeseburger a 10/10. Wife said only thing better would've been if they had ranch . Strong work 5 Guys! Well stop again when traveling through!!! Why do they always make me feel as if I should take my food and just get out. Stuffing it all into a greasy paper sack is NOT welcoming. Music was quite loud so it was difficult to carry on conversations. Hamburgers were good, fries are fresh cut, soggy and dripping with grease. ZERO healthier options if you don't want fries. Two adults and a kid was over $55.00 and they have the audacity to ask for a tip! What service are they providing for that tip? Do they wipe down the tables - NO! Do they bring you your meal - NO! Do they smile & greet you or even just say thanks for spending money here - NO! TIPS are for service. The service and food was great! I went there on a Saturday with my sons. We got a burger, fries, lemonade, milkshake, and the grilled veggie sandwich. That sandwich is a great addition to the menu and tasted way better than your average veggie burger. I almost didn't even miss the beef on it...until I tried my son's hamburger. The next day, Sunday morning, I was pulling out of the driveway at the hotel where we stayed next door, and immediately felt my tire was flat and it sounded awful. So I pulled over to the Five Guys parking lot since it was closest and I parked my car. It wasn't just flat. The tire was actually coming off the rim! The shift manager, Jose', was out on his break and came right over to offer his assistance. What a helpful, kind, person. We got my spare, jack and lug nut wrench out of the trunk, and he went to town on that wheel to get me going again. Another man showed up to help too, so Jose went and got us water, took the man's hamburger order, loaned me the use of his auto supplies while the other man helped, and checked up on us too. I can tell you that when someone does you good like this, it makes a lasting impression. I was able to get on the road with my spar and drive to a tire center. Thank you Jose'!! I watched the MANAGER, while adding all the toppings to my burger, take two phone calls on the cordless phone. This is while he was wearing the food service gloves and on the line preparing food. He not only continued on my burger while taking these phone calls and when I mentioned it, he went and changed his gloves and sent my burger along to be wrapped. He went from touching the phone to touching my bacon, lettuce, tomatoes on both my burger and my husbands. He never said a word to me nor offered to REMAKE my burger. NOTHING. I wouldn't expect any fast food worker to take phone calls while preparing my food. I would expect them to excuse themselves from the line and take a phone call. I am thoroughly disgusted. read more

A lot of hype but not worth it. I had Five Guys a few years ago in Portland and remember not being particularly impressed then either. We got a bacon cheese burger and and BLT. The fries are super thick and mushy. If you're looking for a good burger this is maybe the 12th best place in the Roseburg/Myrtle Creek/Winston area. read more

Not worth the cost. Burger was good, and unlike most places, the bacon was actually cooked fully. Fries were underdone however. Very large staff in place, almost one crew member for each customer in the place, yet I still waited 20 minutes for a little food. read more

New burger place but very expensive!! A burger, small fries and Diet Coke over $13!! This place being run by high school aged kids that seemed to really enjoy their jobs. The biggest negative though is the value. Waited over 15 minutes for my tiny order. If I want to spend 50%-60% more for what a burger is worth I can go to Red Robin and at least sit at a table and have a beer. Good Covid19 procedures tho. This is absolutely the WORST food I've ever eaten. The bun on my burger was gooey and pastey from the moisture. The bun just wasn't sturdy enough. my husband's burger was the same and they added a fry to my order 4.35 for a small fry SERIOUSLY!!! I ended up paying for it and didn't order it. They know nothing about their food and what's in the beef etc the fries I saw a few reviews back I agree I'd rather eat a raw potatoe. We'll stick with grannies mini hut it's, homemade and worth every penny.. five guys sorry but I won't recommend any of my friends or family to spend a dime in your establishment.
