The guest house was spotless, very reasonably priced, and gave us the complete run of the vineyard once the tasting room closed. It was so peaceful and relaxing. The property offers both 1- and 2-bedroom options and has gorgeous views overlooking the North Umpqua River and the vineyards perfect for morning coffee or evening wine on the patio. Steve and Paula, the owners, are wonderful, warm people who were incredibly accommodating and made us feel right at home. Their wines are superb, especially the pomegranate sparkling wine, which quickly became our favorite. We also loved the complimentary charcuterie board! The guest house was well-equipped with a washer and dryer, iron, full refrigerator, coffee maker, and plenty of dishware -- everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Located in beautiful Douglas County wine country, it's conveniently just minutes away from many other wineries, making it an ideal base for exploring the Umpqua Valley. I wasn't feeling well that day but the view was a total zen vibe! There's an inside bar area, ample seating outside. It's best to get a reservation or get there early for the outside tables. Restrooms are inside, parking is on the vineyard. The day we were there, they had a taco vendor for food. The name is derived from the 2 middle names of wine makers Scott Kelly and Dyson Demara, of Hillcrest. The tasting room is located in a historic building down town Roseburg and is cozy in an industrial way. The wine varietals are so different from what you find up in the Willamette Valley, plus the prices are more reasonable. I was gifted from my friends, a bottle of the Fume Blanc, a tad bit sweet Sauv blanc and am excited to pair it with my next cheese board. I am kicking my self that I didn't pick up a bottle of GSM, a Southern Rhone blend that is readily available here and Walla Walla. I definitely would recommend this place to anyone wanting to step off the Pinot Noir train , if just for a weekend.
