The name is derived from the 2 middle names of wine makers Scott Kelly and Dyson Demara, of Hillcrest. The tasting room is located in a historic building down town Roseburg and is cozy in an industrial way. The wine varietals are so different from what you find up in the Willamette Valley, plus the prices are more reasonable. I was gifted from my friends, a bottle of the Fume Blanc, a tad bit sweet Sauv blanc and am excited to pair it with my next cheese board. I am kicking my self that I didn't pick up a bottle of GSM, a Southern Rhone blend that is readily available here and Walla Walla. I definitely would recommend this place to anyone wanting to step off the Pinot Noir train , if just for a weekend.

We didn't have a reservation, but we lucked out on scoring a table. It was away from the live music, but you can still see/hear the band. What was so breathtaking was that gorgeous view! I wasn't feeling well that day but the view was a total zen vibe! There's an inside bar area, ample seating outside. It's best to get a reservation or get there early for the outside tables. Restrooms are inside, parking is on the vineyard. The day we were there, they had a taco vendor for food. Overall, this was one of our favorite wineries to visit and hope to be back when we're in the area.

Their dog-friendly patio made the perfect spot for us to relax. We were on the hunt for some white wines, and Amy, our gracious host, created a custom tasting to help us find the perfect bottles to take home. We left with a 2022 Albariño, along with the 2023 and 2024 Rosé. A beautiful winery with serene views -- the perfect backdrop for sipping and savoring.

We had our puppy with us, so we sat at the covered patio area. Amy was our server. We hit it off right away. She took great care of us letting us share a custom tasting that included a 2021 Viognier, 2023 Grenache Rose, and a 2022 Albariño. We loved them all. We ordered a chilled bottle of Albariño to enjoy there. We ended up buying a couple bottles of the Albariño and one bottle each of their 2023 and 2024 Rose. We later learned that blending the two vintages of Rose (the 2024 has a touch more residual sugar) yielded an even better wine than either of the two vintages alone! Nice, a lite Pinot with a decent finish. The 100 Valley Pinot left me wanting something more. Finished off the tasting with their GSM. It was nice an easy drinking wine. A table wine. I can't help but wonder how these would have tasted in a good wine glass. That is my major negative here. The stemware is small stemless glasses with a huge lip. To see how these wines actually taste they should upgrade their tasting glass. Possibly a Reidel Oregon Pinot glass.

The beers are experimental and creative with their beers making some pretty unusual beers that taste great! We have had three of their beers so far on two separate occasions and both times the beers were very impressive and enjoyable! One of the beers we had was the Thumb Ring. A Wild Ale that was excellent. It was aged on peaches, blackberries and coconut. Flavors featured with this beer are tartness, peachy, cherry and a hint of purposeful mustiness. Wit Bat was another beer we had. Also a Wild Ale this beer was wonderful also! Flavors to find with this Ale are tartness and jam like. The jam like qualities come from the marionberries and the Coriander brings it an extra depth. A very effervescent and elegant Ale. The third beer we had was the Earl of Tenmile. This was a Sour Ale with flavors of tart, sour, some sweetness and a clean finish. It is a blend of two and four year spontaneously fermented Ales. Such great beers and ales Draper has to offer and I would love to continue to explore with more of their beverage options which I hope would be in the near future.
