Draper has the Yelp categorization of a bar but they also brew their own beer as well and it more than qualifies in the brewery category as well. Draper is an excellent brewery in my mind. The beers are experimental and creative with their beers making some pretty unusual beers that taste great! We have had three of their beers so far on two separate occasions and both times the beers were very impressive and enjoyable! One of the beers we had was the Thumb Ring. A Wild Ale that was excellent. It was aged on peaches, blackberries and coconut. Flavors featured with this beer are tartness, peachy, cherry and a hint of purposeful mustiness. Wit Bat was another beer we had. Also a Wild Ale this beer was wonderful also! Flavors to find with this Ale are tartness and jam like. The jam like qualities come from the marionberries and the Coriander brings it an extra depth. A very effervescent and elegant Ale. The third beer we had was the Earl of Tenmile. This was a Sour Ale with flavors of tart, sour, some sweetness and a clean finish. It is a blend of two and four year spontaneously fermented Ales. Such great beers and ales Draper has to offer and I would love to continue to explore with more of their beverage options which I hope would be in the near future. read more

Was in town and told by our hotel this was the best bar to stop by and boy were we glad we listened. we were immediately greeted by a very friendly gentleman welcoming us in. Now keep in mind this is more of a beer place so don't expect cocktails. They had a wide variety of beers on tap but I of course went for the sour. I loved that they had shuffleboard to play as well. I had never played before but loved learning how. They allow you to bring in food or have it delivered there which I thought was pretty cool. Would highly recommend this establishment read more

4 of us went to Draper at 5: 00 on Wednesday afternoon. I've thought a bit about this experience and felt I would be remiss if I didn't relate it. We walked past a couple smokers at the entrance. Not that it is the responsibility of the proprietor to police the entrance.. went in and observed the Scouling bartender obviously annoyed or Oxygen deprived maybe because of a suffocating mask apparently no food on Wednesdays what a waste and disappointment. I didn't actually get to sit down and order anything. The space is long and narrow with a bar at the end that seats 8. All the seats were taken. There were plenty of 3 and 4 top tables but there was nobody sitting down there... Being a social creature I left because I didn't want to sit by myself in the big open space.... Pleasant atmosphere, friendly staff, warm and welcoming decor. Always a good chill place to try a few new beers or a couple you already love. Their beer variety and selection is astonishingly varied and diverse between their taps and what they keep in the cooler bottled and they are happy to allow you to sample any of the beer on tap before you commit to a pint. Recently they are having more of their own Draper beer on tap than I'd like but the variety is still great so no complaints! read more

While visiting a friend in Oregon we went on a small pub crawl and we ended up at this small bar. They have dart boards and shuffleboard for patron's entertainment. They also brew their own beer. I have the Creme Pale Ale, yum. Lots of friendly locals. But they have last call at 12, down part to living in a small town. read more

Draper Brewing is the best of Douglas County! They consistently have many of their own beers on tap at the Draft House, and they offer some great staples like the Cream Ale, Chocolate Porter, and IPA, as well as rotating seasonal brews. My personal favorites are the Brown Ale and the seasonal Fresh-Hop, which they made with hops grown at Melrose vineyard, and I'd definitely recommend tasting the Cream Ale both on draft and in the bottle (they re-ferment it in the bottle and it's got a distinctly different sweetness to it). They also offer a great selection of other beers from all over the world, both on tap and in bottles. They stock some of the Umpqua Valley's finest local wine and a pretty solid cider selection, also both on tap and in bottles. The bartender is friendly, funny, and knowledgeable, and always good for a crazy story. The food selection is weak, however, they will actively encourage you to bring in takeout from other downtown businesses to enjoy with your beer of choice. This is a great place to go and meet people, I know when I was new in town this was the place where I ultimately found most of my lasting friends and have spent many hours in there with them since. Draper also has live music pretty regularly, it's not a great venue for it if the band is using an amp, as they play straight into a brick wall and it gets loud, but it's wonderful when the acoustic Irish bands come in. If there isn't live music, there's something playing from the owner's and bartender's extensive vinyl collections. There's also shuffleboard, darts, and a few board games. Wednesday night is Ladies Night, with a dollar off all Draper drafts for the women, and Thursday is my personal favorite, Beers for Beards, where a beard (real or fake) gets you a dollar off your Draper draft as well. Draper's draft house is the best place to grab a beer in Roseburg hands down! They have the BEST selection of beers on tap and in the bottle. These guys know how to craft some stellar beers! Having just moved to town I am so happy to have this friendly spot downtown. The bartenders know their beer and will help you find that perfect pint! I enjoy mixing up the rotation but the Draper IPA and Draper Double IPA are killer! Also, cool that they only play vinyl records! Check it out for yourself, you won't be disappointed! read more

A delightful little corner of the world where one can go to find local brews and exotic imported beers. The selection is impressive and always featuring new offerings. The interior is low key and relaxing with shuffleboard, pinball, interesting beer related art on the walls and often live music. With monthly beard events and a perfectly rounded (and always growing) vinyl record library, it's a gathering place for friends as well as a nice stop to swing in for an after work drink. Their food menu is a bit weak, but is currently under "construction" to shift their edible wears into a more "deli" feel. But, trust me, you DON'T go there to eat. You'll frequent Draper's for the great beer, the quirky atmosphere, and the fun service. I'm particularly fond of the bartender, Nathaniel, who seems to be one of the most well versed beer authorities I've ever met. He's also an interesting chap who, if the flow of clientele and beer allows, will provide you with some of the most odd and engaging conversation you will have in Douglas County. All in all, this is a 5 star bar/pub...their lacking food spread is the only thing keeping this gem from being a dinning destination, but as for a spot to drink a GREAT beer and unwind...you won't find any better! read more
