Great winery with a fantastic view. Plenty of tables outside with umbrellas. Every table has a view of the vineyard and beyond. I ordered a flight of tastings. You can choose four wines to taste from a list of ten (5 whites and 5 reds). I stuck to three whites and a rose. I surprisingly didn't love the rose and it's usually one of my favorites but the other three whites were great. There's also a friendly winery dog who greets you at the door and visits you at your table. An added bonus. Would definitely return for another tasting for the view and atmosphere alone.

We went there for wine tasting. The view is amazing. I don't think their wine is anything too special. And the price is kind of high comparing to other wineries. Considering the location and the nice view, I would still recommend you to check it out

What a beautiful place! Very inviting inside and out. Outside are tables with umbrellas to shield you from the sun. The deck overlooks the vineyards and the mountains in the distance. When we arrived on a Thursday afternoon in September, we were greeted and served promptly. There were only a couple of other tables occupied. We enjoyed most of the wines and in particular the Rose and Pinot Noir which we bought. It would be nice if they waived the tasting fee when you purchased a couple bottles. All in all, an enjoyable way to spend an hour or two!

Come here for the view and the ambiance. Situated on a hill overlooking the vineyard, it provides great views while you enjoy some wine. The tasting room architecture is very nicely done to take advantage of the view and there is a very large outdoor patio that allows you to take it all in. At $10 for a tasting (5/2019), I feel you are paying more for the view (worth it) than the wine. The wine is decent, but the ambiance is better.

After reading about the amazing views and excellent staff, we decided to come and try the wine. It did not disappoint! Besides being hands-on, the new owners are beyond friendly, welcoming and accommodating! I love how they pour their tastings! Besides enjoying a wine Avalanche and the views, the temperanillo, the cuvee, and the Greuner were delightfully delicious! Don't miss out on a wonderful afternoon spent enjoying the view with excellent wine and tasty charcuterie! The fig sauce and the hummus were very unique and memorable, too! Cheers, Cooper Ridge!

Good wine with a great view. And cheese plates, too! Staff was so friendly and welcoming. Tastes are $10 each, and you have three choices--white flight, red flight or a mixed flight. The tasting fee is waived with purchase, and we happily purchased a Riesling and a Viognier. I have always known Riesling to be a rather sweet wine, but this Riesling was not too sweet, and tasted crisp. We are on an extended trip in our RV; otherwise, I would have bought more of the Riesling--it was that good. We opened our Riesling as we sat on one of their two terraces and admired the view, while enjoying a cheese and meat appetizer plate. This was a very enjoyable wine tasting experience.

Lovely little winery with a very nice outdoor space and beautiful views, including the river peeking through the trees at the bottom of the hill. Nice selection of wines and snacks. New owners very friendly, as is all the service. Always happy for a visit.

Such a nice winery with a breathtaking view. We enjoyed a tasting and the say cheese plate which was delicious. Highly recommend visiting here!

Nice setting with excellent views, but all the wines we tasted were sour ... too much malic acid. Wines were not very flavorful.

She helped us with menu questions and questions about how the business operated...no matter how many questions. She is 5/5! We started off the Happy Hour Menu and had the Honey Glazed Braised Short Ribs. They were caramelized to a bronze layer of deliciousness!! They may be the best thing I've ever had. I would get these again & again. 5/5 The teriyaki grilled chicken skewers had a good char but were pretty dry. Chicken on a skewer tends to be dry unless marinated to stay moist or have a dipping sauce. They were still pretty good. 3.5/5. Off the regular menu, we had the Korean Board with tons of food. It had a pan seared Korean flat iron steak with a chimichurri sauce. It was cooked medium rare was tasty with a meaty chew. 4.5/5. It also had a flat iron butterflied and skewererd. It was a bit chewier but I thought it was quite good. 4/5 We also had the Inspired Filet. It was a bit tough for a filet mignon. It wasn't something we'd order again. It was served with a root vegetable hash, though, that was delicious!! The hash was a 5/5. All the meals came with either Jasmine rice or what they called Fried Rice-a coconut lemongrass rice, which didn't seemed fried, with a mango salsa on top. 4.5/5 Most had grilled broccolini and the filet had sautéed spinach. Overall, the restaurant is very nice, seats are comfortable with fluffy pillows for behind your back and little nooks under the seats for purses or packages 4.5/5, service tonight was above and beyond excellent, and the food fun and creative. This place definitely stands apart in Roseburg. We will definitely be back to try more things.

They wanted to take us to Skog's for brunch but they were closed during the day and only open for dinner. However, their other business Turkey Hall was open and we decided to stop in. Oakland, OR is a small little town that's great for antiques and the local Roseburg residents are very familiar with their food. It's a small town, everyone knows a everything. When someone new arrives and opens a business, everyone knows about it or has already gone there. Turkey Hall and Skog's is a family business and they are originally from Nevada with roots in Northern California. I asked if they have their website up and they are currently working on it. Their son took our order and was friendly/courteous. Since we had breakfast at home, we kept it light with some cheese bread and a bottle of wine. There were also breakfast (pastries/coffee options) as well as a buffet pasta lunch while we were there. I can see this place as an event venue (i.e., private parties) or a place that can host live music/entertainment. There are two stages (small outdoor and an indoor stage). PJ who handles the entertainment is the person to contact to book your band. I am in awe with the decor: hardwood, motorcycles and chandeliers, a rifle for a door handle. Also there are a couple of non-working slot machines to pay homage to their NV roots. I really enjoyed the outdoor area. It connects both Turkey Hall and Skogs for outdoor dining, but it's well shaded and a great place to relax and enjoy company. There is a full bar and a wine bar section. There's a lot of good things, I hope it's not too much of a good thing. I hope to come back and visit a once they are in full swing but since they are brand spanking new, I give them props for starting out.

We had an hour or so to spare before check-in, and I found this highly rated winery on Yelp, so I thought it would be a good place to stop for a break. It was an enjoyable drove along narrow country roads from the main highway in late October, with the trees showing their fall colors and fields of grass waving in the sun. Our GPS guided us to the front entrance, after which it got a bit confused as the paved, one-lane access road wound this way and that. We followed the signs to the tasting room and entered the medium-sized, stonewalled tasting room. We hadn't called ahead for a reservation, given the time of year, but the attendant welcomed us with open arms. He provided a great description of the vintner background, the winery, and the diversity of wines they grow. While I had tasted several Pinot Noirs from the Umpqua Valley, I wasn't aware of the other varietals. The attendant was very accommodating, letting us taste several different wines, especially as my wife is not as interested in wine as I am. I'm not a big fan of most white wines, although they are known for their Grüner Veltliner. I wasn't keen on the GV, but their Sauv Blanc was quite good for a US offering (we both like NZ Sauv Blancs a lot). On the darker side, their Syrah was just okay, but their Tempranillo was the best U.S. example of this varietal that I've ever had, and just a bit below some of the amazing ones I've had the pleasure to taste from Spain. It was so impressive that I decided to sign up for their quarterly wine club, which had been the farthest thing from my mind when I entered, but I've been very impressed with the shipments I've received so far.
