Husband and I came on a Saturday to catch Happy Hour before a comedy show and it was a fantastic treat. Happy hour is 4:30- 6 and includes rolls and sides! I loved the chicken karaage, tuna roll and hiramasa roll. We also got the shrimp tempura roll but it wasn't my fav. The rolls also take a while, but you can munch on wasabi peas while you wait. Pro-tip - wine bottles are half off, so recommend getting a bottle if you're drinking with friends. Overall, if you're looking for a low key HH, Ten-Ten is the spot! read more

Came here a couple of Saturdays ago with a group of 5 total on a reservation. Our lovely spacious booth was ready upon arrival. It is a dim downtown vibe with good music off the bat. Our server was very pleasant and very knowledgeable on the menu. The tables favorite were the brussels sprouts and the scallop roll. We ordered these both again we loved them that much. We also tried the maitake tempura, A5 wagyu, snow crab roll, bbq toro roll, and chirashi. We all thought the wagyu would be a top favorite, but it was just okay. The bbq toro roll actually had that one beat! We all enjoyed our cocktails. They make a really unique lychee martini with a foam on top that I enjoyed. It was just so small and gone in 2 sips for the price point. I really liked their old fashion too, can't go wrong there. Only complaint would be prices are a little steep, but that is what you get for that location off of east 6th. They do offer valet parking for $12 across the street by devil may care, or you can just drive around to find a pay to park like we did. I last came here around 2019 and can confirm it is still just as good as it was back then. Will be back! read more

This restaurant had great reviews and helped us narrow down our choices while browsing 6th St. for food. Immediately I loved the ambience and the vibe. Menu looked good and we got seated right away without a reservation. The table for two had side by side seating, which was odd, but ok. I ordered the yuzu picante as a cocktail, it had a kick to it! I love spicy food and drinks so I didn't mind but it was spicier than other spicy drinks I've tried. If you don't like spice you may not enjoy this drink. We ordered Caesar salad as appetizers and they had no shortage of cheese lol. Instead of croutons, the salad was topped with chips. Interesting but good! I also had the short rib as my entree. I was surprised by the small portion but enjoyed it still. I only wish it included rice or some sort of carb. They didn't even offer rice on the menu which I thought was odd. We ordered Brussels sprouts and those were tasty. This is a cute spot and the food is good, but I feel it's a little overpriced for what you get. Prepare to order several dishes if you arrive with an appetite as the portions are small. My husband ordered sashimi and literally received one serving, a single piece. And it was probably $20. When I say I was treated to a romantic dinner here, I mean I was TREATED. Not only was my company amazing but our server was helpful and recommended the most delicious food I've had in so long. The shishito peppers had an indescribable flavor but the most amazing peppers I've had to date and the hamachi dish turned my world upside down! My recent visit to TenTen topped my last experience and left a great impression. A few highlights from an enjoyable dinner consisted of suggested dishes by the staff that we would have never tried on our own -- but glad to have been recommended to us. Dishes we especially enjoyed were first off, the starters from the menu. Brussels sprouts and charred edamame. I didn't have the charred edamame my first time here, but happy to have it recommended. Edamame is edamame to me in many restaurants, but this one probably the best one I've had. It was different, presented a taste in a unique fashion; if there's one reason for me to come back it's this starter dish. Other dishes that definitely stood out was the a5 wagyu sashimi and the acorn squash. The menu provided a great balance of not too much meat with plant-based options, which to me is always a plus. A glass of Mango Spritz complemented well with our meal and a perfect summer cocktail with the right amount gin and sweetness. The staff made us feel welcome from our server to the managers and front staff. You can really tell when a restaurant cares about providing an elevated customer dining experience by providing just the right formula of thoughtfully crafted dishes and a cozy, welcoming atmosphere. From the moment I left, I have already told a few friends to try this place out! TenTen lives up to its expectations of being a 10/10. read more

THE BIG: Located on West 6th in downtown Austin. Street level restaurant with a dark and stormy interior. Parking is either on the street or in the garage. THE BLACK AND WHITE: We came during happy hour (4:30-6pm) on a Saturday before heading to see Russell Peters. Fortunately, it's also when TenTen opens, so no one was inside. We got a bar seat and started ordering. We ordered the karaage, tuna, hiramasa, and shrimp tempura roll. The karaage was the best and the sushi took forever to come out. Fortunately there's wasabi peas to hold you over. The drinks list included half off drinks (beer, wines, cocktails, and even bottles of wine). THE FINAL BAMBOO: Overall for the happy hour, we spent around $50 for everything. Great value if you're looking to pregame for the night ahead. read more

Best happy hour for sushi. Select rolls for $10 (we literally got one of each) and a decent beverage HH (also $10) menu as well. Can't speak for the regular menu but the rolls feel dressed up and are 10/10 (joke intended ). Don't skip the mushroom, king salmon or chirasi. read more

Food here was alright, I'd say lower quality compared to some of the other sushi restaurants in Austin. We tried various happy hour items which were not bad, but nothing special as well. Favorite was the karaage here. Parking can also suck sometimes since it's downtown. read more

This spot is such a fun vibe if you're looking for a large group spot close to W 6th! It's walking distance from star bar and others. There's parking around depending when you go in the day. It's a very fun, almost - clubby vibe. Service was great and everything came quickly, we were in and out within 1.5 hours. Food was good! We tried the brussel sprouts, wagyu tacos, pork belly, spicy tuna roll and yellowtail roll. Wagyu taco wasn't my favorite but enjoyed the rolls and pork belly. It's not my fave sushi but I think the vibes are fun. They also have space for large groups. read more

All I have to say is - Happy Hour. Must go to happy hour. TenTen has one of the best sushi happy hours in Austin for good reason. Lots on the menu and reasonably priced. Love their service too very quick and friendly. The sushi is fresh and good quality and the drinks are very yummy. I had a wasabi cocktail that I really liked. The food was delicious. Surprised that I could be amazed by sushi in Austin after years of trying high end sushi restaurants. Highly recommend: mushroom ceviche, hamachi carpaccio, chicken karaage, waygu gyoza tacos, and a5 waygu tenderloin. We also tried the tuna gyoza tacos, bbq toro maki, scallop maki, chirashi maki, salmon toro nigiri, which were pretty typical, but the seafood tasted creamy. Drinks were decent but not the best in town. We had goto's sakura martini, kochi day trip, yuzu picante, pixiu flyer, lychee martini, manhattan 1890, and miso old fashioned. The ambiance was nice and they gave us a round booth as requested. Seating arrangement was 5-stars. Should've mentioned it was for a birthday. They would bring the dessert with a lit candle. We tried the matcha creme brûlée. The service was decent. The timing was just right, and she wasn't hovering. read more

Been to TenTen a few times now but finally got around to giving them a review. Came here a few weeks ago for their Friday lunch with a friend. We both opted for the bento box as it was customizable and the most bang for your buck. I ended up choosing the salmon skewers, tuna taco, sashimi & the jalepeno tuna roll. Everything was great and well balanced as well as filling. My friend ended up going with the vegetarian option bento box and she liked everything except for the eggplant. The food paired well with some lychee martinis we need indulging in. It was pretty quiet when we came in so service was pretty attentive as we basically had the restaurant to ourselves. I also would recommend coming here for their weekday happy hour as drinks are half off and they have some affordable bites and rolls. read more

Awesome happy hour menu! Super affordable and great options. Basically ordered the whole menu which was delicious. Very cute atmosphere and very intimate. Not too crowded when I went. Wait staff was super attentive and let us know to out in orders before happy hour ended. Just ordering stuff off happy hour for food was plenty enough for 2 people and the drinks were great too! TenTen was amazing! The sushi was delicious! The scallop maki was incredible, the truffle and yuzu with it paired so nicely. The waiter recommended the chicken karaage because that is one of their special dishes and it didn't disappoint. It was crunchy and cooked well. Went here for a date night with my love yesterday. The place was somewhat empty due to it being a Sunday night but that served us well because we got seated and attended to promptly. The lights were very dim with candles on each table, perfect for a date. I'm allergic to avocado. The server, whose name I don't remember, a shorter, fair skinned woman with long, wavy/curly blond hair in a ponytail, was so kind. She gave me a menu that she personally notated everything that was cooked in avocado oil or had avocado in it so that I would know what not to order. We tried several items from the menu. The wagyu items were half off due to it being Sunday so I ordered a Wagyu ribeye that tasted fantastic. The Hamachi Carpaccio appetizer was my favorite. It was a white fish thin sliced with truffle. My girlfriend ordered the Wagyu Donburi. I did not try it due to my avocado allergy but she finished the entire bowl. A clear sign that it was good! I also had a glass of Futurosa Rose that was a nice compliment to my steak. I tried the coconut bloom mixed drink as well. That did not taste good to me. They also gave us complimentary Champaign and a mochi desert that was pretty good as well. Overall it was a nice experience. Due to my avocado allergy and their extensive use of avocado oil, I probably won't eat there too often, but you all should definitely check them out. read more

5 stars for a fabulous happy hour! Half off all drinks and a really nice selection of happy hour appetizers and rolls. We arrived at 5pm in the middle of the week and it was very cold out so the restaurant was almost completely empty, but started to fill up by the time we left. It's a cozy yet upscale space with large curved booths for a comfortable and intimate feel. The server was wonderful, always checking in, answering all our questions, and keeping our waters full. I ordered the spicy tuna and hamachi rolls, thinking they would be small or basic due to it being happy hour, but I was pleasantly surprised. The spicy tuna roll had large pieces of tuna on top and the hamachi roll was also very filling - 8 pieces each! We also ordered the pork gyoza, which had a nice soft filling; the edamame, which was packed with spices; and the miso eggplant skewers, which were tender with a strong umami flavor. They also have a great sake selection that is super affordable during happy hour. We ordered a few styles and enjoyed the flavors. read more

Came here for happy hour and we were 2 minutes from missing it. A staff member said he was able to honor the happy hour menu for us which was so kind! We ordered almost everything on the menu to share and it was all delicious. Edamame was different, they seasoned it with this smokey flavor and i wasn't a big fan but i couldnt stop eating it so...i guess i was a fan? The star of the show was the salmon on the skewers...i mean are you kidding me?! it was SO tender, fresh, and well season...it was absolutely to die for, especially with the HH prices, wow blown away. The second star of the show was the chicken karaage, i've never had such tender chicken in my life. It was crispy yet tender on the inside and it was very well seasoned, i'm salivating thinking about it. Their sushi surprised it. It was so well presented and looked high end, we were shocked this was the happy hour sushi. My favorites were the mushroom vegetarian sushi and then salmon sushi, both so flavorful and unique. Eggplant on skewers were not my favorite, i thought it was too crunchy, but personally i like eggplants overcooked, very soft and melts in your mouth but this was not that. Will i be back? 100%!! Ended up at TenTen for Valentine's Day even though it wasn't on my long list of Austin restaurants to try. But I am very glad we went--everything we got there was excellent. We got the King Salmon roll and it is honestly the best sushi I have ever had. It was so special. I had one of the rice bowls with waygu beef and bone marrow and it was unexpectedly awesome. It's one of these places where you are not sure what you are eating but it's fantastic. The service was great. Our waitress was extremely helpful and seemed genuinely excited about the food. Rightfully so. The ambiance was described as romantic and it was. Dim lighting is really what that means. My husband and I have reached the age where we have to use our flashlights to read the menu in a place like this. We were about the oldest people there. Lol. That's not a bad thing. The vibe there is definitely trendy, but that's totally fine, especially if they really deliver on the food and they do. read more

I always give restaurants bonus points when they can actually split the bill up Our server, Alex, was so kind and super attentive! Things you must try: scallop maki & hamachi maki and it may sound intimidating, but the quail egg nigiri was INCREDIBLE!! I quite enjoyed a happy hour visit to TenTen. They had just enough vegetarian items to leave me satisfied. Nice decor and a good option for an occasion, spacious room, good food and drinks, attentive service. This should be the basic threshold for dining out but these days, 80% of places fail to check off these basic boxes, imho. read more

The food during happy hour is a must! I came with my sister @nhueats_ and it was amazing. The prices were great for the food they offered. They had lychee martini. Banana liquor but I couldn't taste the banana. Sushi sampler is a must when trying what they have to offer. It's a great way to try a place without going overboard. The waiter was nice and the scene/layout is nice for special outing and big groups. I would recommend happy hour here! read more

Really chic and upscale restaurant. Our server was SO kind, helpful, and attentive. I was given quite a few vegan options from the server, but would have been helpful to mark them on the menu (are listed as vegetarian only). I highly recommend the martini and Brussel sprouts. I personally did not love the taste of the vegan eggplant nigiri or mushroom roll (tasted fishy somehow to me, maybe a lot of nori?) but they were beautifully presented. High end sushi establishment with a great focus on fresh seafood and unique flavors. Like many of the trendy sushi places around town they put their own unique twist on everything from the starters to the maki rolls. The food is not boring. Their attention to detail really pays off as the food is delicious. The charred edamame was excellent and really flavorful. Loved the Hamachi Carpaccio. Citrusy with just the right amount of spice to let fish shine. We had several of the happy hour Maki rolls and found them to be unique and tasty. Not overpowering with the sauce. Very tasty lychee martini We made a reservation and when we arrived we were brought to the table next to the door and it was freezing cold so we asked to move to another table. The restaurant was full so we had to wait a while but the sweet hostess let us use her person heater so that we would be more comfortable After we were able to switch it felt much better and we were ready for our food. Everything we ordered was delicious but it kind of took a long time for everything so i would definitely hear if you have more time. Some of the items we ordered also didn't come or they ran out. Food was very unique and different. I was not expecting so many vegetarian options at a sushi place. We started with the tuna tacos they were good but spicy. Then we got the mushroom ceviche, eggplant nori, tofu maki, and roasted squash. We finished with the bread pudding which is listed as chocolate bread pudding but not very chocolaty if you're a chocolate lover like me. read more

One of the best modern Japanese restaurants in Austin. This will be our go-to date night spot when we're downtown. Though the service we had at TenTen was impeccable, the food could have given more "umph". I came in for TenTen's Happy Hour special, which is served Mondays thru Fridays from 4:30-5:30 pm (a literal happy hour). A scant selection of small bites and hand rolls are offered on the menu, but there just aren't enough offerings to actually keep you satiated. Outside of the happy hour menu, dishes can run from $20-$250 (excluding appetizers). Quality isn't bad, but that should serve as the bare minimum when paying at a $$$ restaurant... not the highlight of it. read more

I recently visited Ten Ten for a girls' night out and had a mixed experience. Japanese food (especially sushi) is my favorite so I was excited to try this place after hearing great things. Walking in without a reservation, I was pleased with the charming upscale ambiance and the welcoming atmosphere. The highlight of our evening was undoubtedly the amazing happy hour deals and drinks. The nigiri sushi were creative and delicious, but I found it to be on the expensive side for the quality. On the other hand, the happy hour handrolls were more affordable (2 for $9), although I found them to be just average in terms of taste. The negitoro was brown and didn't seem to be the most fresh. Parking in the area proved to be quite a challenge, as street parking was limited. However, the great service we received throughout our meal definitely made up for this inconvenience. The Momo Spritz mocktail I ordered was also refreshing and a delightful recommendation from the barista. To summarize , while I had high expectations, I wasn't entirely impressed with the food as much as I would have liked to be. The California roll here is above average compared to other sushi restaurants. Their sashimi is a bit lacking in size but the quality is good. I do like some of their specialty rolls but it's a bit too pricey for me! Never order takeout since you're dealing with raw fish and the taste may not be that good. We ordered 3-4 types of dimsum (onion pancake, soup dumplings, chu shou, fried shu mae) and three entries (orange beef, eggplant and their take on ma pao tofu) for the best tasting experience. The curry sauce for the onion pancake was probably the most flavorful dish of the night sadly. The onion pancake was way way over fried-- hard as a rock. If that's their take on onion pancake... well, it's just wrong. The soup dumplings were passable but a bit doughie and the filling was full of a lot of noticeable coagulated fat -- not clear and broth-y, with light surface droplets of oil as all delicious broths. My wife enjoyed the chu shou -- I found the filling much too overcooked and tough -- difficult to eat with chop sticks. Like a tough, overcooked meatball. The fried shu Mae were just plain inedible. My wife and I each ate one and left the rest. The included sauce was basic and too heavy. And again, over fried. There was a huge delay between our apps and our mains, like 40 minutes or so. Various bar staff apologized. It wasn't a big deal, we were in a good conversation and they were super busy but our mains were not at all worth waiting for. Small portions. WAY over sauced. WAY too salty. WAY too sweet. No distinct flavors at all. The ma pao didn't seem to have any Szechuan pepper at all. How do you miss that ? Honestly, give me Panda Express any day over this abject failure of a restaurant. Austin needs more Chinese but if it's anything like this place, forget it. I'd rather spend a 4h round trip to Houston and go to even a mediocre Chinese restaurant than endure another meal at this place. What a waste of $165. Edit: I wish I was making this up but I literally had to pull over to throw up on the side of the road on the way home. The food did not sit well with me. I have no underlying health conditions, am not on any medicine that would have this as a side effect and only shared one beer with my wife. It was just a very, very, disappointing and gross meal.

Not related, but still really yummy! Reservations are needed and it's prepaid. There are other add-ons and drinks that you can pay for in person. They invite you to have a complimentary drink 30 min before the reservation-Silk Road-a mix of yuzu, sake, coconut, etc. Very smooth and sweet! I like it. We were seated with other couples and it's an intimate space (8 spots). Since it was our anniversary, we were the only ones that got a paper menu of what we ate. That was surprising as other omakases give everyone the menu regardless of the occasion. There are three chefs preparing the sushi, and the entire service was pretty fast. We spent an hour 30 min here. I liked that there was bottomless salad with seaweed and the like. There was one chef who kept refilling my salad, which I appreciated. Keep in mind, if I didn't keep on eating the salad, I probably wouldn't have been full. Another surprise is that there are no chopsticks. You wipe your hands with one towel and eat the sushi and salad with your hands. My favorites are madai (sea bream) and hotate (scallop). They have a smooth and smokey flavor. We spent about $500 for two. This is downtown, so you'll have to find paid street parking or garage.

I normally don't enjoy fusion food but sushi bar has elevated it to the next level! I especially enjoyed the Hotate (scallop), A5 wagyu, and Madai (sea bream) - the scallop is fresh and lightly torched; A5 wagyu, no introduction needed, melted in your mouth; sea bream is flavourful and "smooth".
